Holy Pitta Yeeros House in Islington

Holly Pitta Greek restaurant offers authentic Greek food. The portions were sizeable. The salads and the deserts were real. The chefs, manager etc appeared to be all Greek. Our waitress , although not Greek, but from a neighbouring Balkan country was super friendly and attentive. I guess this place can be appreciated mainly by people accustomed to food/service/ambience from Greece and the Balkan region. Ii will appeal to people looking for unpretentious and authentic food. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Happy to visit again.

Ordered Gigantes. Could not believe what I received. This was a delivery. Shameful portion for £4.50.

I was staying in a hotel nearby on a business trip, and was looking for something light to eat. Lots to choose from in the area but this little Greek restaurant caught my eye. I was met and taken to my table by a friendly man, who gave me some recommendations. I already knew that I just wanted to have a souvlaki gyros, which he advised would be a 15min wait but I was in no rush. Whilst I was waiting, there seemed to be a one sided row breaking out with a female waitress (potentially the manager going by her manner), complaining at the man who had served me. My food was served, and was delicious, but whilst I was eating, the same female staff member started shouting at the male waiter only yards away from my table, with no concern of customers. This completely spoiled my experience, although the same male waiter met me with a smile when I asked for the bill and paid. A lovely place inside and nice food. Would be 5* for me had it not been for the female waitress/manager.

Food was not fresh and I strongly believe the fries was reused!!! Extremely pricey and the the person in charge very rude and misbehaving. £150 for 4 souvlakia Greek salad a sausage 3 beers and three dips!!! Never again

Do NOT go to this place. All the staff specially (male early 30s) are very rude. First we were told by the clueless female waitress that it was just the chicken which is was Halal. She then pointed to some Pork dishes on the menu, which was insulting. Then the male waiter came as we sat down and he told us the specials. I told him I want the chicken as it's Halal, at which point he got annoyed and snatched the menu and told me “In that case nothing is Halal”. So we left. Please do NOT go there.

Holy TRASH .... Absolutely trash! The disgrace of the server today hmmp Let me start off here ... MAN WITH THE GLASSES .. HORRIBLE MAN I walked in I asked for the menu. He gave it. I then said I would like to be seated , I sat down he immediately come up to me for my order , I WAS THINKING ARE YOU ALRIGHT ?? In 5 seconds how would I know what I want if I just sat down! I then asked about my choices and sizes of the meal, he said its small but its fine . I said okay i will get that as I am not too hungry .he said ok . He then said oh no you cant you have to spend £15 .. now who goes to a resturant and your told how much you can spend ..Why did you immediately change your mind.?? So if my food come up to 12.99 or other customers you will turn them away? Is this is why the resturant is empty ? What I order has nothing to do with you .he said its the manager LIES. TOTALLY LIES he was full of attidude. If you dont want to work park yourself at home ! I then said Im not that hungry I will come back with my friends, of course I was never coming back in this disgraceful place. The man then walked behind me shouting out Thanks Bye. Stinking attitude aint no one going in this resturant with him working there no customer service whatsoever!

The man who called himself the "manager" was extremely rude and expressed a really bad attitude. First he literally snatched the take away menus from my hand, telling me that these were not for eat in customers. He then gave me two eat in menus and when I went to place my order he just walked off to carry out another task. Finally he came to the till to start taking my order and abruptly asked me what I wanted. After telling him what I wanted he told me to pick a table closer to the counter as he was short staffed, my daughter who is ten was already sitting at her favourite table at the back of what is actually a small restaurant. At this point I asked him why the bad attitude at which point he became confrontational and stated he was not going to serve me. I couldn't care less how good people say the food is the service was shocking and embarrassing. The guy clearly needs to learn some customer service skills. I'm so glad I didn't spend my money in his business and I will be sure to spread the word on my multiple social media accounts, all of which have a massive audience. Absolutely atrocious and unappreciative manager. I might have bought the short staffed story if the restaurant was actually busy but he had around five covers inside and possibly between eight and ten covers outside. That's a grand total of seventeen customers including me and my daughter. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

This is the third weekend we stopped by for lunch and have been consistently surprised by the quality of the food. The best lamb chops for miles around and the Bisteca Makedonias is grilled and juicy! Great value and really feels as if you are back in Greece for a hour. Definitely coming back and bring some friends.

Excellent portion of super tasty Greek food. The chicken was crispy, the hand cut chips were delicious and the Mythos Beer was a perfect accompaniment. Staff were attentive and accommodating.
