Nestled near Old Street, Honest Burger offers a casual dining experience with a focus on quality ingredients. On my recent visit, I was excited to try their Halal options, specifically the chicken tenders. These crispy bites were nothing short of delicious, perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection. However, my excitement waned when I sampled the Honest Fried Chicken Burger. While it boasted a juicy chicken breast, American cheese, and a medley of toppings like ranch mayo, lettuce, and pickles, I found it lacked the punch I was hoping for. The buffalo sauce was barely noticeable, leaving the burger feeling a tad underwhelming. On a brighter note, the mint lemonade stole the show! It was incredibly refreshing, striking the perfect balance of sweetness and zest. Overall, while the chicken tenders were a standout, the burger didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’ll definitely return for that mint lemonade, but I might explore other options next time. If you’re in the area, give their tenders a try!

Friendly service and some of the best burgers in London

The food was fantastic, but since the venue was so quiet we were being approached by different staff members every minute despite just sitting down asking If we were ready to order or not. After saying no a couple of times within a couple of minutes, it was really annoying having sat down just 5 minutes earlier. It continued right till the end even after paying the bill and getting ready to leave. This ruined the good food and it was poor experience.

I am delevry driver have visited at restaurant and requested for use toilet. They told me driver not allowed to use. Delevry driver are business partner. We work in all types of weather bad or good. Are the driver not human being? We have no feelings and no phisical need as pee? It's shoking experience. I can't expected this

The burgers are okay but on several occasions I was either forgotten or left standing for 20 minutes waiting for a table eventhough half the place was empty. I stopped going there because it happened so many times.

Our waiter was quite rude and we didn't feel welcome at all. Three of us ordered and he got two of the three orders wrong. The food was fantastic but the poor staff experience let the place down

Staff were rude. The only words the Server taking our order used were "you ready?" And "next". They cooked my burger 3 times before it was edible.

Honestly this was a very bad experience, the waiter was rude during the whole service because we arrived at 1030pm and they close at 11am, then when I was asking for the bathroom and another member of the staff was extremely rude because he thought that I wasn't a customer, the food was ok

Disgusting! We just observed the staff dropping the spoon of the ice bucket on the floor, picking it up and start using it - without cleaning it 🤢 Thankfully we didn’t start eating yet 🙏🏻

The Tribute burger is alright, however I found the fries particularly average. They aren't cut all the same length so the cook is always extremely varied. There is better burger spots in London for sure, but not Honest Burgers won't do a bad job satisfying your cravings if you are in a pinch.

I had a disappointing experience with the service. I ordered an Honest burger but received one with a double patty. When I inquired about the mistake, the staff member insisted that I had ordered a double, despite my frequent visits (over 50 times) where I’ve never ordered a double patty. Instead of addressing the issue, he shrugged it off, leaving me to remove the extra patty myself. When I asked for the bill, I requested the removal of the service charge. Upon asking why, I explained that my order was incorrect. He responded by saying, "You got a double patty for the price of a single," as if I should be grateful for their mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, so this review isn't about the error itself but rather how it was handled. Simply removing the extra patty and giving me the burger as I ordered would have been satisfactory.

As a chain, it is very worth it. Nothing bought with hamburger franchises in Spain. The food was quality and the burger included delicious potatoes (and a lot of them!), and even so, the price was not exorbitant. Very good place to go to enjoy a delicious burger.

We were a large party of 25 for a children’s birthday party - and we couldn’t have picked a better venue ! From start to finish we were incredibly well looked after by the amazing Peter - he managed the large food order (including 14 very distracted and excited children!) incredibly well. A huge thank you !

Awful. The waiter we dealt with was incredibly rude and passive aggressive. We just left without ordering rather than deal with him. Literally one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a staff member in a restaurant. Edit: Despite asking me to follow up with them via email I've never heard back, so we can add wasting my time after the fact to the review too.

Whenever I want to go to have a burger this is the place I choose after trying other chains as well. The meat is always fresh, the fries are crispy and well flavored and I love there burgers of the month. Strongly recommend, and the service is great with very friendly waiters like Petar.

When you order a dish, but half of it arrives, the second part of the same dish arrives 15 minutes later. It was onion rings and gravy. Staff asks you what the issue is and walks away without listening for the answer.

Was craving some decent burger, when I saw the photos on their website it looked nice and I’ve heard of their burgers to be good. Went to collect my order from the old street branch and it was dead quit, it was weird, but I thought maybe it’s the time of the day I went in. I had already ordered online on my way, so I don’t end up waiting around because it says waiting time around 20-40 mins. I got a burger, came home and to my shock, the chips looked like they were from the day before. For £11.60 I believe for a burger and chips I was very disappointed, even fast food restaurants do look fresher than what I had. I’m convinced I was giving a burger that went bad, the lettuce were soggy and yellowish, you can tell it was old and it smelled. The chips were defo not fresh. I think they made them sometime in the morning or the day before and just reheated it. I couldn’t eat it even tho I was so hungry and being pregnant I couldn’t bother going back to the shop and ask for a refund. I’ve added photos so you can see what I mean.

First time here. Minimalist setup, quick and friendly service really. Atmosphere spot on, at the end music playlist went little off though. Burger was great, medium cooked as requested. Chips went very well with the bacon gravy! Great overall.

The place smelled musty, table was dirty, I asked for an empty table at the back, waiter said no. Decided to leave, don't know how the burgers are, I still like the experience when I eat out, started bad, no second chances.

shockingly poor, really sad waste of a cheat meal. the burger was hardly seasoned, it tasted so bland ! the onion rings were soaked in oil and had a fair bit of uncooked batter when bitten into. at least the ambiance seemed nice and the service on point.

Can I just say 'WOW'! Had a night away in London for a gig with hubby, and were looking for a bite to eat before we had to get ready for the concert. Saw this advertised last minute, looked at the menu and immediately agreed between us that this would be the place to go. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff who let us choose the table and gave us menus. The drinks were amazing and nostalgic (mint lemonade), then we were served up with a starter of onion rings with the bacon gravy - these were PROPER onion rings, fully battered large rings. Then the food - I went for the tribute burger which sounded delicious from the menu, was even better when I took my first bite. I don't usually like getting messy with my food but THIS was an experience. We also had the BBQ Mayo on the side and the seasonal coleslaw, which was to DIE FOR (whoever thought of this and made it deserves to win the lottery). We were very fully at the end and this kept us going throughout the evening. Also, considering it was London, the prices were reasonable and we would definitely consider coming back here again if we are ever back in London in the near future!

Her warm welcome and menu guidance made choosing a delicious meal a straightforward process. The flavors were a culinary masterpiece. Need to give it to Gaia for making a recommendation that changed my life - onion rings with gravy! It was so delicious it felt like I had fireworks in my mouth – a must-try! It paired especially well with the Tribute burger which came with a generous side of rosemary chips. Kudos to Gaia and the Old Street team for their impeccable service and culinary brilliance. I am a picky eater, so choosing something simple, even a burger is a challenging process for me. However, I was lucky to meet Gaia. Her personalized service elevated my dining experience to new heights. She was very patient and understanding about my difficulties in choosing food. She helped me by guiding me through the menu and showing me a selection of dishes that perfectly matched my tastes. All of her recommendations were perfect - the smash burger with bacon, the rosemary fries and the homemade mint lemonade. Because of Gaia I had a memorable experience. It's rare to find such dedication in both service and culinary expertise. Honest Burgers Old Street, thanks to Gaia, you may have very well become my go-to place for delicious burgers!

My wife and I visit Old St. Honest Burger every few weeks. Excellent service by Lester - always friendly and accommodating! Food portions are generous and consistently good quality everytime!

Fantastic place both food and service wise. I’ve taken out and dined in. They’re quick in putting food on the table, really love their beef burger and chicken pieces, and the staff are very kind and friendly. The waiter, Peter, is especially polite and helpful when I’m there. And shout out to Kane and Lester, also part of the staff, they always ask me how I’m doing and how school is, very personable and attentive. Excellent people all around working there.

This venue is small with seating that as a single person you are forced to look out a window from a thin bench or at a bar service area, unless you are lucky enough to get one of a few ‘single’ seats. The Resteraunt was pretty empty when I arrived with a lot of empty tables. Even so I was told I could only choose the bad seats. Even though I asked to sit somewhere better. I left and whilst I’m sure the staff are kind. They ultimately were not that helpful in giving me one of the many available better seats. Which if a meal costs between £20-£30 is quite reasonable to expect to sit somewhere nice

We live in the area and didn't came here for a long time, as we felt the service wasn't that good. Wanting a burger decided to give it another try as the tribute one is really good. And than, the magic happens, and it's name is Petar! What a service! What a funny guy! It changed completely our perception of the place, couldn't stop laughing!! What a joy to around that guy! Actually, before our last visit, the first question was: would be Petar be there? Finger crossed!!

Ordered via Uber Eats. Burger was missing the extra patty I paid for and the bacon was very light. Made for a unsatisfying meal. Called the restaurant and was told to contact Uber Eats who only refunded for the missing patty. Chips were nice and partners burger was made correctly.

This is my Honest question to HONEST BURGER! What has gone wrong? My food arrived promptly 8 mins, freezing cold! The burger in the middle wasn’t hot it was cold to the touch. The chips wow, where do I start, cold, tasteless, and small portions < I guess that was a good thing! This was my 3rd order with the same branch. Issues on each order. This will be the last order. AWFUL

Recently, I had a letdown at Honest Burgers. After waiting 15 minutes at my table, I never got a menu. Despite having two waiters and a not-so-busy restaurant, the staff seemed oblivious to my presence. I ended up leaving without a chance to try their offerings. I hope this was just an isolated incident, but sadly, I can't endorse them based on what happened.

Update: I emailed you twice regarding my complaint but you never responded. Terrible customer service... Very rude staff, they got my order wrong the last 3 times I went there. I sent the food back and even the 2nd time the garnishes were wrong. Last time, I was with a guest and they got our order wrong, and we had to send it back. Then my burger was almost raw (not medium), and garnishes were wrong. Then the manager came over and told me I had wasted 3 burgers already and I would be charged for the wasted burgers if I send back the next one. She did not apologise for their mistake and blamed it on me. She was yelling at us while my guest was eating her meal. We had no option to leave then. I have been going to this joint for several years and have never been treated this badly!!

The Rosemary chips are incredible and come with every burger! I had the vegan Christmas burger which was insane, so full of flavour with cranberry, trimmings and vegan bacon. There's a vegan chipotle mayo which was great too! Portion sizes are brilliant and staff are super helpful! Can't wait to come back 😄

Dreadful experience. One box had very few chips (literally half of what was in the other box!). The burgers were very dry, mine was supposed to have a cranberry sauce - instead of the sauce I got a pink stain on the bun. I couldn’t even taste it. What’s more, we ordered online via Uber Eats and received a completely cold food. Uber doesn’t care about our complaints. This was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. Also not the first time Honest Burgers’ food was disappointing. They used to be really good a few years ago, the quality dropped drastically

Very disappointed with Hones Burgers lately. Vegan burger was WAY TOO SALTY, I couldn't eat it, fries as well... Service was long and uncaring. After complaining about the burger, I got 20% off from my bill which is nice (but normal since the food wasn't good) but not enough considering I left almost 100% of my meal. Will never come back to Honest.

Popped in yesterday after work before meeting some friends. Great value for money (chirstmas deal they had on was a bargain - especially for London). Food came quickly and was delicious - the gravy was a personal favourite. Super helpful and friendly staff, can see myself coming back here again!

I love Honest Burgers! Good value as all the burgers come with a side, and the fries are really good!. I recommend the double smash with bacon, and also the BBQ mayo dip for the fries!
