Studland House in Forest Heath

Been a customer of Studlands for many years. This is by far the best Chinese Take Away in the region to the point where I dont live within delivery distance and therefore always happy to drive to collect my food rather than going to one more local! Always really polite on the phone, know who you are straight away and have never missed a time slot yet for us even at busy times such as Xmas, New Year, Mothers Day etc. Food is on point, the £25 mega box is great value and easily feeds 3. Highly recommended!

Chow mein was dry,no taste and the bbq ribs sauce was awful,watery,everyone else were disappointed to with there meal,never again

Waited about an hour and 30 minutes and was repeatedly told it was nearly there, once it finally arrived it was luke warm and missing egg fried rice , then took another hour to bring that! didn’t end up eating till nearly 9 when it was ordered at 6:40 used to love it here but won’t bother again !!

Quite simply the best Chinese food locally. Absolutely superb. After 16 years of very mediocre overpriced Chinese here in Mildenhall ( which has 4 Chinese takeaways ) I finally tried Studland House. Why oh why did I wait this long ? Quality food at a much lower price than local offerings. I come here at least once a week because, despite the 20 mile return trip, it's an amazing place with incredible food & service. One of the places here in Mildenhall has a Chicken Chow mein which consists of BOILED noodles with a few BOILED bits of chicken is more expensive than Studland House. Laughable really. If you live locally & haven't tried this place, you're mugging yourself off. Fantastic.

Quite frankly, the best Chinese food this side of China. Quality ingredients and not soaked in grease and salt like some of the others Their megabox is great value and absolutely delicious. It comes with 3 different potted sauces, but the Chinese BBQ is out of this world. It can be a bit of a wait for delivery as it is very popular, it is definitely worth the wait. The only downside is cash only on delivery as it means a trip to the cash point.

1st impression you get is of a professional establishment, very clean and pleasant shop/counter ,One of the best Chinese meals to take away I have ever eaten , the shredded duck is sublime and cooked perfectly, the spring rolls are full of flavour and crispy texture not dripping with oil . Salt and pepper squid leaves you wanting it again ,food is hot and no oily taste ,chefs are superb ,also staff are very friendly , price is just right and affordable , quick service . It’s Usually very busy which is a good sign of its popularity, this is my go to comfort food palace now and I would recommend you try this when in Newmarket. Try the mega box , many copy but none compare to the original at studlands house

I ordered at 545, the food turned up at 750, over two hours from point of order, with an "itll be delivered" in an hour to an hour and 15. im a patient man, but the order turned up not only cold, but missing items which i had been charged for. during my call to them, i was told, "you can dive it back" or "we'll refund you refund you for missing items if the driver comes back and sees the food" then, on a call to the owner, i was told "not to be cinderella about it", and that i could "return my food for a refund". honestly, ive had many deliveries from them, but for the money, the customer service and the time, i would caution anyone to order from them.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in town but they are prone to sending incorrect items. They read your order back at warp speed. When you phone to complain, they say “well, I did read it back to you”. Sorry. And that’s that. Seems they love to send special satay chow mien instead of special satay (quite a difference)!! The BBQ ribs are usually decent but very fatty tonight. Delivery is prompt but doesn’t help if you have incorrect items.

Having fallen out of favour with my usual Chinese Takeaway I decided to give this place a go. WOW! We had Special Chow Mein which was very tasty and a good amount of varied ingredients, Pork Fried Rice, reassuringly brown and actually tasted like a Pork Fried Rice, Great Spare Ribs and an amazing Spring Roll. I have just had my Leftovers for my Lunch and it tasted just as good. We will be going back 😋

Really looked forward to a nice Chinese meal, i have to say i was very disappointed. Barbecue ribs had as much fat on them as meat. Chicken in the curry was tasteless and fatty. Chips uncooked and soggy. will not be re visiting

NYE chaos avoided! Brilliant ordering service but more importantly the food, was, as always, brilliant. Tasty, big servings and fresh and not like some other local Chinese restaurants where the food in batch cooked and congealed. Would never go elsewhere. If you are going to order pre book as they get very busy. But do offer walk-in but be prepared to wait!

I've been enjoying takeaways from here for the last 25 years, and never had a bad one! Best Chinese in Newmarket hands down! If you want amazingly tasty food then order from here!

Studland House was recommended by a friend, and after two home deliveries, I’ve found them to be one of the best ever Chinese takeaways I have experienced, great food and not expensive. A real addition to Newmarket.

Usually a very good Chinese meal but we were very disappointed with our order. It arrived cold and tasteless. I appreciate that they may have been busy due to covid lockdown but everytime we've ordered it's been busy but never as disappointing as this delivery. We may give it another go but not sure.

Disappointed to say the least. Greasy,Chicken tough to eat and a bbq sauce that tasted disgusting...

Long wait to answer phone and to be delivered but worth it food very good and hot well worth the wait

Do not eat here if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements! Asked for the takeaway not to give a certain part of a dish - staff were unwilling to change it. Will go to somewhere that staff are happy to cater for their customers.

Always good food from Studlands. We usually ring through our order and then drive from Burwell to collect it. It should be noted that Fridays and Saturdays are always very busy so order early if you don't want a two hour wait.

Another excellent meal from Studlands. We phoned the order through and were warned that as it was a Saturday evening it was very busy and that there would be a wait of an hour and ten minutes. I picked up our order on time. The food here is always good and this meal for three of us was excellent. On a Saturday they also have a mobile number to call to help with the volumes. The number is on Facebook.

Got seved a chicken fried rice and a barbecue ribs the chinese lady who served us was excellent thanks for your help. Really did appreciate it. Totally recommended. Will call again but will ring first.

We started using this take away as our regular was closed and it has now become our new favourite. The food is great, also friendly service.

Do not use this service - the food was "warm" not hotIt lacked flavour - left a horrible after taste 75 % went in the binWhen i called to complain the attitude was " You wont use us again so what do you want us to do about it" Use the Golden Horse in Newmarket - 100% better than this so called establishment

This is the best Chinese Take Away in Newmarket by far. We have food delivered nearly every week and the quality is always consistent. When you ring up regularly the friendly girl who takes your order knows your address already from your phone number so it saves you having to repeat it each time. Food is tasty and hot and dishes like rice and Chow Mein come in a choice of sizes. Prices are very reasonable. This place is VERY popular so be prepared to wait a bit for delivery but it’s well worth it and they always warn you in advance. The delivery drivers are polite and friendly. If you’re in a hurry you can always collect it. On the two occasions we’ve collected the premises was clean and tidy. The kitchen was visible from the front desk and all looked in order.

Another really good meal from Studland House. We had a variety of dishes, which were all just right. We phoned the order through and the timing was perfect when we went to collect it. Good service - good food.

Ordered food over the phone having had very good meal on a previous occasion although this was picked up.This time the meal was over ninety minutes from ordering,phoned wondering where it was.The manager suggested 10pc discount I said 20 having been in the industry previously and also knowing that this goes a long way to placating the customer.He agreed but changed his mind when the driver finally arrived and was also very abrupt. Shame really as we would have told friends how good they were and also the driver lost out on a good tip.I do recommend beans on toast as a substitute.and another people friendly takeaway nearby next time!

We have ordered food from this takeaway a few times now and it is wonderful. The only down side is that they are so busy that there can be a long wait for delivery. So make sure you give yourself plenty of time, it will be worth it.

Been to Studland many times. Always great tasting food. Never greasy or poor cuts of meat, as often found in Chinese take aways. Can order over phone, but you may have to try a few times to get through! But it’s worth the wait. Parking outside and well situated just outside Newmarket.

Ordered a takeaway for collection on a Saturday evening - for 6 of us. Ordered at 6.15pm - 45 minutes quoted for when it would be ready. It was ready right on time when we arrived jy st before 7pm. Piping hot and very tasty.

Pedí una para llevar, mi esposa y yo y dos adolescentes un viernes por la noche; estaba listo para recoger en unos 30 m. Nos quedamos muy impresionados con la fantástica calidad de la comida, y sin duda será pedir desde aquí. Tenga en cuenta que este restaurante sólo para llevar. No se desanime por la ubicación.

Pedidos para la colección en una noche muy ocupada, para un grupo de nosotros. La comida era muy buena, bien embalados y aún caliente cuando tuvimos la dieron inicio a Burwell. Hemos usado Studlands varias veces en el año hemos estado viviendo en Burwell, y vale la pena el 4 km en coche a recoger.

Quizás yo tuve mala suerte ya que parece ser la única persona que he tenido una experiencia negativa.

Always very good food from Studland House. We telephoned our order through on a Saturday evening and collected it about 40 mins later. Good food, good service. Plenty of parking outside the shop.

Me encanta este lugar y comer allí todo el tiempo. Es un modesto para llevar en una finca, pero la comida siempre es muy buena y de hadas de precio. Si estás buscando comida china en newmarket, no puedes equivocarte.

Hemos tenido dos llevar desde casa en el pasado Studland mes - y ambos eran excelentes, gran sabor, y no en grasa. Llamamos nuestro pedido a través y luego fuimos a la tienda a recogerla.

I am not usually a Chinese food fan, however the take away we got from Studland House was really nice. The chow mein was lovely with big chunks of chicken and not as greasy as some other chow meins I have had in the past. For the price it was very reasonable and if I ever fancy a Chinese takeaway in the future, this is where I will go.

This place has been our Personal favourite for over 20 years. We have tried numerous other takeaways in the town, but Studlands House is still the best. We have moved out of the town, but still get it delivered.

We got a Chinese from here this evening and I can honestly say it's one of the best Chinese meals we have ever had. Couldn't have been better in any way. This is our new favourite and won't be going anywhere else from now on. Some very happy customers here

Well....never heard of this takeaway, living 7 miles away. Very nice indeed... hot and sour soup... full of flavour and meat and veg.... the house special noodles, roast duck, off the bone we, prawns with ginger and spring onions, perfect steamed rice, all delivered for 1.50 extra , and well within the time slot. Well happy family thankyou .

Started using this Chinese takeaway as they do deliver, normally within 45mins which seems to be the norm with most takeaways. HOWEVER, if you have not tried their food then it is time you did. it has to be the best for miles, always cooked well, very tasty what ever dish you order and always delivered while food is hot. I will not go to any other takeaway in my town.

I have only recently discovered this family run take away and what a find. The food is of a really high quality, freshly cooked to order and delivered to your door piping hot. They produce the best Chinese food for miles. Don't just take my word for it, give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

Everytime we go down to Newmarket to visit family (every couple of months), they always take us to studland house for a Chinese and it's definitely the best we've had! We like to order abit of everything but the Sweet and sour chicken balls are my favourite and are always fresh and tasty (highly recommend)! Service is friendly too!

Have sampled many of the dishes on the menu and up to now have never been disappointed with anything.The delivery time is always less than stated and the food arrives piping hot.We always use this takeaway for our girls night in!!

This is the only Chinese we use, have tried others but always go back to Studlands. Have used them for over 10 years and the quality is always consistent.

Amazing Chinese, and great friendly service. I have been ordering with studlands house since I moved here 8 years ago and never go anywhere else. Some of my fave dishes are the chicken satay chow mein, vermicelli rice noodles, chicken and broccoli and the duck. But all is so good. Highly recommended
