Wonderful place to do supper before Starlight Express. It was especially easy to have a restaurant right in the very place of the show.

Booked pre theatre (adjoining) based on reviews and had a really lovely dinner here. Restaurant is really nice atmosphere, we sat in a lovely booth. Plenty of food choices and the food I had (samosas and the burger) were really good. Above all, the welcome and service throughout was excellent. Highly recommend.

I booked this restaurant for a pre-show late lunch for Starlight Express and enjoyed an excellent meal and great speedy service. The food was very tasty and there are set menus to choose from which is handy, too. I also liked the restaurant's design - love the blue colour. :) Your bag(s) get checked when entering - because later you can enter the Starlight Express venue directly from the restaurant and that's very handy - no queuing! Highly recommend and I would visit again.

Called in here before we attended Starlight Express. The experience was first class. The service was fast and efficient. Our waitress, Tam , was excellent. The meals we had, rib steak, sea bass and the burger were very good. I could not fault the restaurant. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal. As a bonus the restaurant has a direct link to the theatre and the show was amazing

We ate at Studio 5ive before seeing Starlight Express. The service was efficient but friendly, the food was tasty and good quality, and overall it was good value. Would recommend 😊

We were booked in at Studio 5 for lunchtime on Wednesday 23rd October at 12.45pm. At 12.04pm we received an email to confirm that our table had been cancelled with no reason for the cancellation. We were very disappointed, but looked for somewhere else to eat before going to watch the show of StarLight Express. We arrived home that evening and we were notified that due to US cancelling our table, we had been charged on our credit card £40.00 cancellation fee. Contacted Studio 5 on two occasions by email for our money to be refunded back to us and no one has bothered to reply . We are very upset that we are £40.00 out of pocket due to no fault of ours.

Came for a meal before Starlight Express. Really enjoyed it. Great staff and it's attached to the theatre so you can just go straight through.

This is a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and incredibly attentive staff. The live music is an added bonus and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Unfortunately the waiter didn't know what was included in our prepaid pre dinner meal which meant we had to tell him. We sat with our starter plates on the table for 25 minutes before chasing them because we were running out of time to be at the performance. When our mains finally came it was without one of the sides and no cutlery was provided. My friend ate with a spoon in the end as we didn't have time to wait any longer. The singer who performed was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Just a shame the service was slow and not up to scratch

Ideal for a birthday celebration or a couples night out

Our visit here prior to watching Starlight Express made the whole trip that extra bit special. The staff were amazing as well as the live singer entertaining us before and after the show. I would 100% recommend adding this pre and post show. The food was lovely and they had lovely touches like Starlight Express named cocktails to enjoy too! Lovely touch!

The kitchen was a bit slow but the food and the restaurant service more than made up for it.

Food was very good but my husband was limited to only one main since he cannot eat garlic. Luckily it was very good. We had said on the booking firm about the intolerance but next time we will contact them directly in advance.

Really good food and generous portions. Not a place for a romantic meal out but perfect for a pre-show supper (with pudding served in the interval).

We had a pre show meal here, it was a little bit of a treat for my Fiancée for his 30th Birthday! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was good and it was a really nice chilled atmosphere, its was furnished so nicely it was modern and elegant but also cosy! The service was absolutely amazing. The girm serving us was so friendly, I don't know what her name was but she took time to chat to us and was very knowledgeable on the dishes and made some really good recommendations! Very friendly and a really lovely experience!

My friend and I visited yesterday for lunch prior to seeing Starlight Express. We had a very friendly welcome. We had a choice of menu between a la carte and a set menu. We chose the set menu, which was good value for money and portion size. I recommend the chicken. It was delicious. The meal was leisurely but the staff were attentive. A great start to our theatre experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Given the price I was expecting better. I had the two course set menu (fish and chips and summer berry crumble). The fish was nice, the chips seemed like they were just frozen ones and there was about half a spoonful of mushy peas. You get charged a £5 supplement for the fish and chips, I assume because you get an additional side with the set menu. However none of the sides really go with the fish and chips so we paid £5 extra for nothing really. Surely just don’t charge the extra £5 and say that the fish and chips don’t come with an extra side as they already have sides. The fruit crumble was nice but cold as it had been sitting on the side a while before coming to the table. They charged us a £27 service charge when the service was slow and we asked three different people for the bill. The only real positives were the staff who were very nice, the cocktails and it being so close to the theatre. We only went because we went to the theatre and we aren’t local to the area so didn’t really know where else to eat. If you do know other places I would suggest you go there, other wise you are paying expensive prices for less than average food!

Quality of the food was average. Two of us ordered a plate of greens sautéed in garlic. I believe they were kale and very hard to chew. The flavor was good but they were too chewy. My friend ate one bite and no more. The menu is quite limited. The dining room is large and there were empty tables. We did not feel rushed. The service was slow. We asked to have everything brought out at the same time but that didn’t happen. We were a party of three, my friends are a couple and I am solo. Initially the waitress said she could make them a tab and mine on another. When it came time to pay the bill we were told they could only split it three ways. That is a made up rule. We were going to Starlight Express, coming from another country we fell for the follow up email to reserve dinner at Studio 5 as it is so close. Don’t fall for it as there are numerous restaurants within one block from which to choose. Pros - not rushed Cons - limited menu, splitting the bill issue, slow service, overpriced and inedible sautéed greens.

If only we lived nearer! Food and staff were excellent, had the 3 course after show menu and cocktails. Only very small negative, cocktail was described as coming with blackberries, but actually turned up with raspberries and summer berry crumble was mainly apple🥴😪

Our first visit here was great. We had a pre-show dinner which was very good and had excellent service. We had to leave before the live music started unfortunately. Would be happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a decent pre-show dining experience.

Fabulous food & service. Only little disappointment was the summer berry crumble, which was mainly apple, which my partner cannot eat😪

What a fantastic meal, went with my wife, we had the pressed ham hock & king prawns to start followed by the cheek of beef with hand cut chips and green vegetables . It was all perfectly cooked. The beef was not stringy as slow cooked beef can be at times. The service we received was attentive and efficient. A perfect place to eat before your show. The Chapel Down Grand Reserve is a lovely wine. I wish I had took some photos of the food.

The mussels I had were very gritty, the burger my granddaughter had was a disgrace the chicken I had was badly presented as there was nothing with it apart from a bowl of "weedy stuff" the chicken wasn't great anyway. The fries were ordered for as a starter and had to be asked for again. There was no menu or drinks list on our table. The cocktails took forever to be served. My granddaughter works part time in a lovely restaurant ( similar prices to yours for much better food and nicer presentation) she was horrified at the slovenly way that your staff were behaving all over Studio 5, and the lady that gave us our table could not have been more disinterested at our arrival at 5-15 yesterday ( 5th September)

We came straight from "Starlight Express" into Studio Five for a family meal: - great food; served promptly; staff were excellent; the band providing 'background' music were also excellent: all in all, a super night out for our family. Thanks to everyone at Studio Five.

Ideal for Troubador Theatre; part of the complex. Everything was good, but the welcome was muted. After that service was excellent.

Very impressed with the food here! The grilled prawn starter might be some of the best prawns I’ve had and the combination of flavours was incredible on the fish and chips and the spicy fries in particular - don’t think I’ll be able to enjoy normal fish and chips again after having them here! The service from the staff was impeccable throughout our meal and we will certainly be visiting again.

Food was excellent. The seabass was perfectly cooked... but the menu says it comes with salad. It doesn't. It only comes with corriander. It needs to say just seabass.

The ambiance is fantastic, the restaurant is clean, and the food is delicious. The service is prompt and the waitstaff are excellent. The prices are reasonable, and the place is new and well-maintained.

The food was ok, a few extra touches and it would have been much better. The service was a bit slow but they were very friendly. The disappointing part was a singer and the band. We were looking forward to the life music. I think she didn’t start until 7:45 and supposed to start much earlier. Then many and long breaks when customers were dining. I do know they need a break but I thought they weren’t interested in entertaining the guests.

We booked for a Pre-performance meal prior to seeing Starlight Express. All I can say is the food and service were excellent and set the scene for a fabulous performance at the theatre. Thank you guys, you deserve the 5 stars.

£22 for fish and chips and they couldn't provide tartar sauce or vinegar. Poor.

Went here prior to seeing the show Starlight Express. The restaurant was themed for the show which added to the whole experience, there was also the bonus that you can access the theatre from inside the restaurant cutting out the whole queue for the theatre too! Bonus! The menu and food was lovely along with the friendly staff who we had a long chat to. The restaurant itself is large and spacious, no steps for access which is good, so wheelchair accessible. Comfortable seating and a great atmosphere made for a decent experience. Based on this visit, would totally recommend especially as an add on before a show.

We booked up as part of our Starlight Express tickets and it was bang on! Welcoming staff weren’t great but the table service, food, top show tips were second to none! So glad we bought a package and enjoyed some live music in the bar after the show. Special thanks to Caitlin for the hospitality ❤️

Dined early before Springsteen concert, very good standard of food and service, lovely atmosphere

Was looking for somewhere before the theatre where we could book seating, and this fit the bill. The venue is pleasant, very convenient, and some nice English sparkling wine on the list. The food was disappointing and service was slow and erratic. Items requested were brought slowly or not at all ("we've run out", I was told, after asking again after waiting for 15 minutes for water). I had the boneless Sea Bass which did have bones, and wasn't very tasty. The Fish and Chips was also poor. Also watch out for the set menu which costs more than ordering some items separately! I would look elsewhere if visiting again.

Great food and table service was excellent despite original welcome at the door was a little frosty. (Maybe she was having a bad day!) Minor order issue was sorted very quickly and there was a subsequent reduction in the final bill.

Nice place, good food but somewhat overpriced for what we got (burger £15 + £5 for chips) no garnish and only onions in the burger. Hostess didn't exactly greet us and didn't even look up when speaking to find out about our reservation. I thought she was pretty rude given the job is to welcome people. The waiter on the other hand was very friendly, helpful and attentive

Fantastic food- the prawns in particular were huge and delicious, as were all the excellent and set meal is good value. Ideal if you are going to Starlight Exoress as links straight into theatre.

Delicious food, delightful staff. Incredibly helpful too. Chicken delicious Slightly spicey. Same for fish and chips. Burger was scrummy and the spicey prawns were judged first rate.

Great atmosphere, food was nice but everything was covered in coriander or parsley so be aware if you don't like these! Plan for just under an hour for 2 courses, slightly over for 3

Amazing food - both our main meals were beautifully cooked and the desserts were delicious! Staff we're super friendly and the fact we could walk straight through to the Troubadour Theatre from the restaurant was a plus!

We had dinner here before the show, we were late because of the traffic we were able to email them and they did keep our table for us, there was no phone number to contact them which we thought was strange.We all had the fish and chips of the main menu I can only describe it as over priced canteen food at £22 a pop. Fortunately the show made up for the bad food it was amazing !!

Great pre show meal. Always wonderful service, Natasha was very attentive . Lovely well cooked and presented food and a varied choice on the menu. Starlight Express themed cocktails got us in the mood for the show!

We went as a pre-show meal and were rather disappointed based on the good reviews it had. The food was fine, although not really to my taste. It was a fusion menu, but didn’t really fuse and the choices were very limited. There were a few tables around us who seemed to send food back, and lots of plates going back still with food on, so it seemed like we weren’t alone. The service was also fine. There were a couple of staff members who very clearly didn’t want to be there, and would complain to one another when they got back to the bar area, which was also quite off putting. Considering the cost, I expected quite a lot more.

This is a good place to go before a show to eat. Staff are lovely and friendly, food is good to and not very expensive for Greater London. Worth booking before you go as it gets busy.

Great food, slightly different and exciting. BUT we went for a pre show dinner and although we got stuck in traffic and arrived 30 minutes late we still had 1.5 hours before the show. Drinks were wrong - they served me an alcohol instead of alcohol free beer! Food was wrong but didn't have time to send the main course back when it eventually arrived 20 minutes before curtain up. The atmosphere is good and it's all brand new - 2 weeks old! - and shiny. But the service is really bad. Would I recommend it? If you have time and are not seeing Starlight Express then probably yes I'd give it another chance. But if you're planning to see the show arrive 2.5 hours before it starts and be prepared to send things back!!!

Set menu online looked ok so we pre booked a table. Seated quickly on arrival. Then the issues started: 1. Took a long time to order our drinks & food 2. When the food arrived, it varied very much in meal size - fish & chips were just thrown on plate and far too many fries. The beef shin, although tasty, consisted of two small bits of meat. No option to have roast/ new potatoes, only fries or croquettes. 3. The fish in "lightly spiced" batter tasted awful. I couldn't eat it. 4. We then waited about 20 mins for our table to be cleared, and another 10 for dessert order to be taken. 5. A waiter came out with desserts, but gave one to the table next to us. My husband then had to wait another 10 mins for his dessert. 6. Lastly, another 15 minute wait to attract the attention of someone to pay our bill. Had we not be in a hurry to get to the show in time, we would have made a complaint and asked for the 12.5% gratuity that is automatically added, to be removed. All in all a dreadful experience.

Great meal with friendly service. The prices are obviously London prices but it's worth it for convenience when visiting the troubadour theatre.

Went there for pre-theatre dinner on Friday. So convenient becuase its inside the Troubador itself. Lovely restaurant, food was divine and the staff (especially Paddy) so polite and courteous. I really can't recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed and its not expensive either.

I ate here with some friends on opening night and the atmosphere was incredible. the restaurant has a great buzz with excellent live music - you may also spot the occasional celebrity. cannot wait to come back to check out other musical acts they have lined up! the food was great too, thank you Studio Five for a memorable night out and we can't wait to come back soon

We were there for the opening night of Starlight Express so the restaurant was very busy and food orders were rather slow to be processed. But the waiting staff were very attentive, keeping us informed. The food was very tasty though the vegetarian menu was motlsy of fried food so was a bit heavy. Definitely consider visiting again if I'm seeing a show at the Troubadoue Theatre.

Great family friendly meal, kids loved colouring in and making the origami menus! Delicious food and great service.

We ate here before going to see Starlight Express and had a great meal. We had the pre theatre dinner which was brilliant value and very tasty. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Very good pre-Theatre meal with kids. We went for the express option, good choices, came very quickly. Food OK and service exceptional. We could then go straight through to the theatre, using the restaurant toilets first to beat the queues.

Really great food that tasted as if a chef had freshly prepared it, and the service was friendly. All six of us enjoyed our dining experience. My 14 year old said it was the best burger he's ever had! My fish was a very delicate flavour.

Friendly staff in the theatre restaurant on route to see 'Newsies'. Wine and setting very nice (clean bathrooms) and lovely lead up to seeing the show. Food was mixed - curry good, burger nicely presented, falafels over cooked so difficult to cut and dry. Waitress pleasant but asked if we needed anything else and then forgot to bring it. We would go again for a light bite before a show or if there was a live artist appearing

We enjoyed our meals despite the unpleasant smell as we passed the Studio5 toilets. The service was excellent thanks to Alina. The cauliflower and little gem sides were delicious and desserts were ace.

Great spot away from the crowds and chain restaurants in Box Park near Wembley Statium. I booked this as we were seeing the Pet Shop Boys at Wembley Arena, which unknown to me at the time, was taking place the same time Harry Styles as playing at Wembley Stadium, so Wembley itself was PACKED. There are 2 ways to enter the restaurant - from Wembley Park Road itself - dont be put off by the frontage, as it looks like some 1980's office block. Or from the corridor running from the Troubadour Theatre to the right of their main bar area. The restaurant itself is nicely designed, has a nice chilled vibe, with a good selection of cocktails, which we very much enjoyed with our meal from the Express Menu, which has a good selection of favourite basic options. Service was friendly and efficient, with average waiting times between ordering and food delivery. Food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. The Creme Brulee Dessert was huge and is definately recommended. This is a real hidden gem if you are looking for a somewhere to sit down away from the crowds or to eat pre-post show at the Troubadour itself.

I had a fantastic experience at Studio 5. The staff were very accommodating and hospitable! The food was absolutely divine - I will definitely come back again because I need to try other things on the menu!

Such a great secret gem! We came here before seeing Newsies. The staff were so accommodating, kind and really went up and above we had a lovely gentleman who even took us into the theatre. Food was absoultley delicious! The eggplant and cauliflower was so tasty and freah! Infact it was so good we came back again before Harry Styles show. The venue played his music to set the mood and even when it was busy the food was high quality, hot, fast and delicious. Our waitress Tina was so kind and patient. Highly reccomend!

Proper delicious food. Sweet attentive waitress and comfortable chair. I had a perfectly prepared sea bass. Pre theatre set menu can often be a bit useless. But this was top notch. Tomato salad to start was 5 Star. Hubby had beetroot tart also exceptional. With a free drink thrown in I couldn’t have asked for more.
