I visited while in the area for the day and had a lovely lunch. The coffee was really nice and there was a great selection of sweets treats. I also got some scones and quiche to take away which were amazing. A really friendly relaxing atmosphere, can't wait to visit again.

For my starter, I had the gluten-free platter, and for my main, I chose the Chicken Daube. I also ordered an extra dish, the Chicken & Egg Upside Down Bowl, since I wanted to try something different. To drink, I had a cocktail, though I can’t quite remember the name. All the food was delicious, and I really enjoyed the variety of flavors. The restaurant atmosphere was great, and the bar near the entrance added a nice touch to the setting. It looked like a family-run business, with both partners managing it. They were warm and accommodating, making us feel welcome. The two servers looking after our table were also diligent, attentive, and quick to resolve any issues, which made the experience even better. Overall, Flavor of Mauritius offers amazing food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Mauritian cuisine in Reading!
