Great food good service great value went here. 2 time doing my holiday

We stayed at Eweleaze Farm, searching for GF Fish & Chips nearby, Stacey's seemed a good bet. We gave the lovely young staff our orders (2 families) of which one is GF. As it's cooked fresh, we were given a time when ready. We popped out and walked around the nearby Haven. Portion sizes are above average. We all enjoyed the food. All packaging is biodegradable, which is as good as it can be. Again, lovely staff, great location. P.S. awesome surprise for any helicopter fans !

We were staying at a local Haven holiday park right on the doorstep of this chippy and after hearing good things decided to give it a try! 2 adults, six children and we all loved it! We come from a seaside town and are very fussy with our fish and chips and this place was perfect. Very happy. Would definitely order again if we come back on another holiday. Thank you for a lovely meal.

One of the best fish and chip shops in Weymouth. Had twice in a week and the level of consistency is amazing. Fish and chips were such high quality and fried perfectly by Sam. The proof is, I have one on my holiday park, but I choose to use Stracey's

Food was great, however let down by the poor levels of service. And yes I do have the right shop!!

Ordered online, arrived quickly. The chips were lovely and crispy, the fish was lovely as was the battered sausages. Definitely our first choice when we are at Weymouth. 10/10

Average at best. Unfortunately, the chips weren't very nice & seemed very greasy. Fish was lovely just wish the batter was slightly thinner. Very expensive & a large fish wasn't very large.

Spent £32 on food for family of 4. Over priced. Large chips were basically a small portion. Savoly's was cold and hard, Battered cod £7.10 was small and in parts. For the price I expected better than we paid for.

A holiday fish and chip shop visit. Chose this place on looks whilst passing. It's looks good. Front of the counter was ran by 4 teenagers. The boy serving didn't seem to understand "I would like to do my own salt and vinegar"- some in my family like a little and some like a lot. There was only a "yes" or "no" that would do. I tried to explain twice then gave up and just said yes please. This meant stopping on the way back to buy some. The thing which really got my back up was being told I couldnt buy 3 sachets of tartare sauce because I have to spend over £5 on my card! I JUST SPENT OVER £50 2 MINUTES AGO!!! ITS 60P!!! This highlighted other things. Portion size was poor for the cost and the free blonde hairs could have been avoided if the 4 girls were wearing hear nets.... oh and my order was missing mushy peas (there is a sign saying check your order so I guess that's my fault) Leaving on a high... the fish was nice.

Food was nice, our order was wrong i didn't go back to the shop to sort it as I didnt notice untill i drove back to where we was staying. Abit gutted I didn't recive what I ordered but the Staff seemed under pressure although they was very polite.

First time using as away on holiday. Ordered online and collected at collection time stated. Went back to where i was staying to find my order was incomplete missing 2 portions of cod! Back in my car again to drive back problem was rectified and drove back cod hot however the rest was cold so disappointed! The fish was lovely so if the order had been correct im sure the meal would have been good.

This is a really lovely, friendly fish & chip shop & we very much enjoyed our family dinner from there! The batter is very crisp, not oily, and our pieces of Cod were a really great size. Lovely chips too with more than enough for our family of 8 & everyone loved the curry sauce!Thank you for a delicious meal for the first night of our holiday.

Damn good fish and chips. OK, a lot of my reviews are for fish and chip shops, and most of the time I say they're good, but these were great. Chips were crunchy (which we like) and well seasoned. Good size of cod and haddock. Battered sausage was a bit small, but still lovely.

Ordered takeaway for collection. Mushy peas missed off of the order sadly. Didn’t have time to go back.

Left feeling hungry!....for nearly £30, the portions were not acceptable. A medium chips £3.30 barely enough for one portion, a "lite bites' scampi and chips had more chips than the medium portion ordered?? 2 x small cod priced at £14.40 for both, again underwhelming in size and texture, the batter was nice and light though. The £1.20 bread roll ordered came just as described....as a dry bread roll, no option of butter. The overall taste experience was good just needed appropriate portion sizing for the price. Overall quite disappointing! The curry sauce was however very nice. I have to apologise for giving this 3 star review as I know all businesses need support but it just wasn't worth the money spent.

Holidaying in the area and was too lazy to go out for dinner!! But this was absolutely perfect- I’ve seen some other reviews saying it’s expensive or greasy. I totally disagree! The batter was super light, the cod cooked to perfection, generous portions and the perfect way to end a long day of coastal walking. I also pre-ordered online and it was ready bang on time to save me waiting. they were super friendly anyway so I wouldn’t have minded!

Me and my family are on holidays here and decided to get a nice fish and chips but our experience was awful. Very rude staff and poor service, also quite overpriced so do not recommend.

We choose Stacey’s after checking reviews for a decent chippy in the area. Unfortunately the chips were burnt and the portions tiny. We ordered two large for £8 to cover a family of 5. The portions barely fed 3 of us. Very disappointing.

Without doubt the worst pie & Chips I have ever had. It was a very wet Monday evening. Ordered online arrived 25 mins later as stated on the website. Shop was empty had to park in a side road as no parking at the shop. The chips were obviously reheated from earlier in the day as was the pie which was dry and tough!! An absolutely disgusting meal.

Lovely piece of fish with crispy batter and good fresh chips. Curry sauce a must! Lots to choose from on the menu and all well priced.

Was misinformed when checking the order about what came with the meals, so ended up paying extra for 2 portions of chips which were on the original order anyway and ended up in the bin! Also didn't receive sauces which were paid for.

Recently staying in Weymouth Bay went to Stacey’s Fish and Chip Shop We had cod and chips the service was friendly and welcoming, the food was cooked fresh was delicious, would definitely recommend if you’re staying in nearby caravan parks, will definitely go in again.

Food was lovely. We had a very large order, however, all the food was cooked fresh to order. Despite the very large order, all food ordered was there and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Good portion sizes too.

Staff didn't seem to know what was going on. My scampi was cooked at least 5-10 minutes before they got round to putting it in a bag and calling me.

Ordered 2 jumbo sausages and chips. Large chip portion was very small

Online order was ready at the right time. All the fish tasted freshly cooked and was very tasty. Chips were also good, not soggy like some chips you get. I thoroughly recommend this shop all the way round!

Delivered our fish and chips to a challenging location while we were on holiday. Fish was delicious and really fresh, chips were plentiful and chunky, just right. Mushy peas, scampi and curry sauce very tasty. All delivered piping hot. I had to phone the chip shop after doing an online order to check the difficult location, I spoke with a charming helpful chap who knew exactly where we were. Lovely take out would certainly use again if in the area. Doing the order on line was quick and easy, and the confirmation came straight through.

The food was absolutely disgusting undercooked greasy, the serving staff were too busy chatting with each other. My order was given to the wrong customer and they were chased down the road by a member of staff. I would not recommend this shop, and I will never step foot in there again.

Firstly the staff were lovely , we went around 6pm on sat 9th Mar, we ordered Hoki £4.50 Regular chips £3.20 ( or abouts ) Lighter bites cod £7.00 Jumbo battered sausage £2.80 Mushy peas £2.00 Curry sauce £2.00 The hoki was the star of the show , it was lovely , second was the sausage , the rest however was rubbish , the cod was rubbery and smaller than the sausage , the chips weren't very warm and the portions were miniscule, £3.20 portion of chips comes in an average burger box and not even filled , mushy peas and curry sauce came in 2 different sizes and the peas were tasteless , we wouldn't have minded paying for smaller portions if the quality was there but unfortunately on this occasion it seriously lacked , I'm sorry but we wouldn't recommend

Our local chippy and always decent. Highly recommend the lighter bites box's. A decent amount of cod and chips for £7.

Really lovely, freshly cooked, delicious fish and chips served by friendly staff. Luckily we don't live far away so we'll be back! All packaging recyclable so great all round with no waste!!

Within a stone's throw from the caravan park we were in Stacey's offered the perfect solution to our late arrival and hungry bellies. Haddock was lovely with crisp batter with soft fish. Chips were good too.

Came down for a holiday last week and popped in for fish and chips on our way home, OMG It was blooming amazing! I wish they were in my home village. I the lad who served me and the young lady in there were brilliant 10/10 for customer service and we had a giggle about me being particular on the curry sauce, the assured me that it wasn’t like you’d find in a Chinese and offered me a taster, the light bite chicken bites were beautiful and my 19month old didn’t struggle with it, Thank you for a beautiful meal! We can’t wait to visit again!!

Love coming to this chip shop when on holiday in Weymouth they were absolutely brilliant but sorry to say since my last visit over a year ago they have gone downhill the chips were hard and tasteless and the portions sizes for your money is dire definitely won’t be coming back

Visited tonight and ordered 2 cod, 1 small chips and 2 curry sauce. Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. I would highly recommend, the freshness, quality and service is second to none.😎

Whilst on holiday, we visited on three different occasions. The service and food was 2nd to none. Very clean establishment, staff very friendly. Excellent. :)

I was the only one there, placed my order and waited. One staff told the other he could get on with that order and he packaged it all up and continued his conversation. My food sat waiting in a bag while the young staff laughed, joked and flirted. No offer of salt or vinegar. Great food. Will go again but I will tell the kids to do the job they are paid for and give me my food.

Probably the driest chips I've ever had the misfortune of eaten. Nasty chewy pie as well, had 5 peoples meals from here and noone enjoyed it. Shame because used to be a nice chippy

Everything was over cooked. Chips were hard, fish was OK except for the batter. Fish cakes were nearly burnt. I visited this chippy based on recent reviews, which they are quite misleading. Strange that. Unfortunately I'm not able to respond to your reply. My review was an honest review of your food. In regards to your recent reviews, these are the reason for me visiting your chip shop, but as I said the recent reviews were misleading for myself, as for anyone else I can not speak for. Im not an expert on chip shops, as I don't visit them as a norm. I have taken the time to read your previous reviews and there are quite a few that resemble my own. My overall rating was 3 which considering the food we received was a fare score.

A cozy looking fish & chip shop that is ideally situated for both Haven caravan holiday parks, as well as for people who live nearby or who are just simply travelling through & want something hot to eat, a good menu including cod, haddock & hake, pies, fishcakes, battered sausages as well as mushy peas, curry sauce & cans of drinks, I had a portion of chips on my 1st visit which were so delicious but such a tiny portion size and on my 2nd a meal of cod & chips with mushy peas to take back to my caravan which was equally tasty, overall a good place to eat.

Food here is excellent. The portions are decent size at reasonable prices. The fish was a good size and cooked to perfection so much so that I actually ate the batter - something I've not done for at least ten years. Would highly recommend.

This is a chip shop who genuinely look after allergies. Having searched the whole of weymouth (genuinely) they are the only shop who safely cook chips separately so there are no allergen risks. Staff are always polite and super helpful and food is top class thank you.

Cod chips curry sauce was excellent I can't wait to have it again The best chippy in this area by far

Food was very poor. Chips were burned completely no potato left in them. Tasted like pure oil. Wasn’t even able to eat them & for two large portions I received £1 change from £10. The portions were not large what so ever. Really disappointed would not recommend.

For the price of fish n chips there I want to watch them catch it and cook it!

Great tasty chips and delicious burger

We were looking for somewhere that was reasonably priced with good reviews and this was the place. We were downtown in Weymouth and the cost of chips there was crazy so we decided to look for a fish and chip place between there and our caravan at Haven. Stracey's was AMAZING!! My kids had the cheeseburger and I tried it, it was DELICIOUS!! I had the chicken burger and my husband had the light bites cod and chips then we all shared 2x large chips which was more than we needed. Everyone was happy with all the food and the price point was very reasonable. If we ever come back to visit I'd go out of my way and get me a cheeseburger next time 🍔 10/10!

Proper fish & chips. Just what we were looking for during our holiday. Amazing quality and good portion sizes, you'd be hard-pressed to find better.

All the meals were cold despite having the scampi "cooked to order". The chips were absolutely awful, no potato in them, just a box of hard crunchy scraps really. Extremely disappointed and won't be back again.

Was really looking forward to some delicious fish and chips especially as the reviews came highly recommended, unfortunately I was left hugely disappointed, The chips were a waxy texture and hard, The fish was extremely chewy and dry and the batter was gritty. unfortunately overall I will not be returning

Was so looking forward to this as has been many years since I had the cheese and onion fry it.. so sent my partner out for the 4 of us.. Fry it and fish were superb but the chips were absolutely horrid.. really hard and almost like they has been refried.. the 4 of us were all disappointed with the chips

I recently had the pleasure of trying the light bites cod and chips with an addition of mushy peas, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. The flavors were simply outstanding, making it the best fish and chips I have ever had, even though I come from a place that's two and a half hours away. Not only was the food exceptional, but the staff was also remarkably polite, friendly, and professional. Moreover, the price was very reasonable, adding to the overall satisfaction of the experience. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a superb dining experience.

Was at Sea View holiday park for a week and this chippy was 5mins away. Good portion of cooked while you waited chips and a cracking size haddock went down a treat. Mrs had a fishcake and declared it one of the best she had eaten in a fair while

On holiday and saw this when we arrived so tried it out. Food was cooked fresh and of great quality. Service was a little slow as they only just reopened and getting into the swing of things again. Would definitely recommend

Very good, chips are expensive but good, unfortunately always seems to be closed or closing.

Usually 5 stars, but appears that it is permanently shut? There is another fish and chip shop about 30 metres down the hill which is open... Update...16/08. The owner has responded saying they are unable to open owing to a fire. This is sad news and hopefully no-one was hurt. Hopefully they will return ready for next season. Be a great idea to update Google and or their social media to inform visitors!

We have used this chippy twice before, when staying locally at Haven, most recently in March 2022. We found the food to be of good quality and a fair price. Unfortunatley in April 2022 they had a fire and had to temporarily close. Another review gives it a poor 2 star rating, and said they were extremely disappointed. Although their timings coincide with the closure....

Visited the place because it had good reviews, however i was extremely disappointed. I got home and the oil was dripping through the paper, the fish was falling apart and some chips were undercooked. Fish size is small for the price. I found the girl serving to be kind of rude. Also, the same girl touched the food without having any gloves on.

Very good food, tasty, well packaged, and good value. Warm and friendly staff This fish and chip shop is located just outside the Haven site and is much better value than the onsite shop.

A great place, all the staff were friendly and helpful, they couldn't do anymore for us. The chips were fresh & cooked to perfection, the garlic mushrooms were so good, I would definitely recommend this fish & chip shop and look forward to going back when we are next in the area.
