Despite being off the beaten track, well worth a visit . Not least for the antique, jewelry and craft sheds outside. The deli is well stocked and th butchery is excellent. Two niggles spoiled our day. 1. Being so far out , car is the only wat to access. Given the demographic of visitors, like most farm shops and garden centres, is mainly of the grey haired variety only having one disabled parking space is ridiculous for the number of customers. 2. Secondly having to wait in a queue with 2 other customers for severalminutes, while the blond lady on the till has a trivial conversation with a colleague. No apology or explanation , this does not encourage a positive review. Shame with a more customer focussed attitude, could have been 5 star.

Great staff here. Every one who served us water smiley and personable. The place has an area where you can eat and take the dogs which is a bonus. The food quality was top drawer and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast. It’s also got an on site brewery !!

Puzzled by the negative reviews written in July and can only assume they were ‘over’ busy or have since had staff replacements. We went as a family of 5 (grown up children) and two rather large dogs and used Stokely Farm Cafe as our breakfast/brunch go to whilst we were on a weeks holiday. Absolutely fab! Service from happy smiley attentive staff and the food really was superb. Ham egg n chips: always order this when it’s on a menu and this was the best I have ever had. Lovely thick slices of ham. Two absurdly fresh fried eggs. And the chips…. Never had any like these before. Weirdly cut and totally amazing! Coffee, always fussy about this and my flat white was proper coffee shop quality (note to coffee person; could have been hotter). The full English was epic - scrambled eggs done perfectly. The daughters - weird eaters all - had various vegan and vegetarian options that even this carnivore quite fancied! Having the dogs meant we had to eat in the tap bar which is a massive steel barn affair where they brew beer on an industrial scale and the lads were banging bungs into beer barrels agogo which made for interesting conversation. This space also doubled up as a sort of pub barn in the evenings which sadly, we didn’t get around to visiting as it looked great fun. So all this and a well stocked farm shop thrown in made for a much looked forward to morning out. Thoroughly recommended.

We visited twice while on holiday in Devon this week. You have to get here early to beat the rush. It was busy and we had quite a wait to be served and for the food but when it came it was delicious. Lovely coffee. We loved the chunky sough dough toast, great scrambled egg, and Welsh rarebit. We are fussy but this place ticked all our boxes. Chefs and serving staff working flat out. Well done. Can't fault it.

We came here last Sunday (15th October) for the roast lunch, after a friend had told us there was a talented new chef. I am very particular about my roasts, and like my beef pink and my vegetables not overcooked. And that's exactly what the chef produced. I have eaten roast beef in dozens of restaurants, and this was undoubtedly one of the best ever. A friend who had the roast pork was equally happy. I was so impressed that I went and congratulated the chef as we were leaving. We will definitely be going back.

We had a simply delicious lunch made and served by lovely people. Don't get me wrong, this isn't NSK Fowey but, what it is, is a lovely farm shop cafe offering great food with great people. What more could you want? Oh, the on-site micro-brewery for a welcome pint with lunch... It's got that too!

So disappointing. As locals, we use the cafe for a coffee and cake, but in the winter we often pop in for a hot bowl of soup. Summer is busy, so we don't use it as regularly. We wanted to meet up for lunch, so decided we would try Stokely if it wasn't too busy. There were several empty tables, so we were hopeful, and got seated quite quickly. The menu looked like it had changed a bit - not a lot of choice - but still enough for lunch. We ordered about 12.30 pm and had drinks while we waited......and waited......and waited. At 1.45pm we asked where our order was. We had ordered 2 Rarebit and 1 BBQ chicken ribs. The waitress went to ask the kitchen, and came back and said it had been busy, but we were next. It hadn't appeared to have been particularly, but she offered to take the drinks off the bill. We talked it over and decided to see if they had started the meal, if not, we would rather leave. One of us went over to the serving area and asked if they had already started, if not, we would prefer to leave it. The man behind the servery was a little brusk, and said it was next. So we waited. Unfortunately, the food was really not good. The rarebit was on sourdough bread - not toasted, so just soggy. The salad was just a few leaves. The chicken wings were still white with non crispy skin and covered in a red sauce, with a curried slaw. Sadly, we had lost confidence in the food, so I chose not to eat my chicken wings - I didn't want to risk any health problems. We were not alone in having problems - other customers were also complaining. We asked for the bill, and said we were not very happy with the meal. We were polite but not very happy. I offered to pay for my chicken, as it was my decision not to eat it, but they took it off the bill, thank you. We asked if it had changed management, and it appears it has; shame. We will possibly try tea and cake, but don't want to return to eat cooked food. Perhaps it's teething problems, and they may improve with practice.....

Really bad lunch menu very heavy stuff more suitable for dinner no light meals only sandwich and the bread was like door stops when we asked could we have thinner bread we were informed no, well how about just avocado on toast no this was 12.30 granted breakfast was finished but really did not want a full dish like you get at dinner i mean this is holiday season lighten up! Also friend ordered a decafe coffee and after 1/2 later she said her body was reacting as she had drunk full caffine coffee

We arrived - after a fairly long walk- very much looking forward to breakfast. However, on arrival we were told that due to a backlog no more breakfast orders were being taken. Apparently, people who had booked had to take priority and the kitchen needed to prepare for the lunch menu. We expressed our disappointment and asked how long the wait for coffee was and were told a maximum of 20 mins. 40 mins later our coffee arrived! We watched several people give up and leave as the waits were so long. It’s worth noting that nowhere on the website does it advise you to book and that the kitchen finished serving breakfasts shortly after the 1130 deadline for ordering (as stated on the website). We won’t be returning.

Tables grubby and whole area looked unkempt Plastic chairs or wooden benches ..neither are comfortable Service incredibly slow considering it wasn't busy Had to ask twice for a menu and twice to be served only for coffees !! Decided against food as the place didn't look like the food would be good However coffee was surprisingly excellent! Pity it's like this as it could be really nice with some thought about the surroundings and staff training in customer service

Food was slow but very tasty but then ordered a small cafetière (2 cup) and was served a 4 cup. I pointed this out to the waitress who argued that if we both wanted coffee we needed the larger one. Where she got the idea we both wanted coffee I have no idea but she insisted this is the way it is done then walked off mouthing something about causing trouble. I attempted to call her back to no avail and she continued to mouth to colleagues about us. I complained to the manager who didn’t convince me he was going to do anything about it. So this is a place that needs to get a grip on staff discipline and buck up their ideas about customer service. They will be happy to know we won’t go back. Also if you expect to dictate customers coffee requirements you should put it on the menu for those of us who need a carer (2 cup = 1 person/ 4 cup = 2 person)

On arrival was given a table outside with dirty plates etc on . We had to ask to be removed , we had to ask to take our order, and for repeat drinks . I ordered sour dough bread with avocado . This came as one thinly sliced of sour dough and mashed avocado with no seasoning at all . There were chefs wandering around with filthy aprons on and the whole area was unkempt and dirty. I took my friend as a possible venue for wedding reception but she was very out off from first minute . I’ve visited stokely many times but feel it has no managegerial leadership , food hugely expensive (£7 for my sour dough ) and grubby chefs .

I loved this pub. We walked from Salcombe and it was well worth it (don't worry, you can drive there too). It had the feel of a genuine pub with some good beers that happened to do great food also. I had possibly the best burger I have had in a long time and my wife had a fantastic steak sandwich. Both were freshly prepared scratch. They have vegan options too. I notice some negative reviews, mostly due to poor service. We arrived at 12 noon on a weekday in October. Even so, the place was full by the time we left, so it is clearly a popular place. The service we experienced was without fault. I hope our experience is the norm.

Delivious Sunday Lunch after walk to Sharrah Pool. We arrived nearly an hour late but the owners were incredibly accommodating and had reserved a delightful table for us. The food was amazing, really tasty flaversome juicy steak and pork with a huge plate of well cooked vegetables, quite the largest plateful anyone could want. Beers were well kept, Jail Ale and Salcombe Breeze and a range of ciders. Really friendly staff who looked after us so well. Don't miss it certainly worth a visit, the new(?) owners are doing lots of things right!!
