Stockbridge Fisheries in Bradford

Some of the previous reviewer's have the wrong fish shop. THIS IS STOCKBRIDGE FISH AND CHIP SHOP...NOT A RESTAURANT OR SERVES LASAGNE. This is an old established fish and chip shop. Taste lovely and good portions. £7.50 for fish and chips, the fish are not as big as they used to be, the chips are also a bit scrappy. Times are hard for the owners, so have had to cut down on portion sizes, and quality of chips. Also, opening times have reduced, not enough trade now as they are so expensive now. It's still the best fish and chips around here, and would recommend you to come and try them. I hope locals use it more, because it will close if they don't and he a curry takeaway for laundering cash. Sign of the times I suppose.

Very poor selection for vegetarians, vegetable lasagne was the only thing listed, so I chose that it wasn't available, so I said I'm vegetarian what could I have? The waitress disappeared into the kitchen, when she came back she said I could have it!! I really wish I hadn't it was dreadful. There wasn't any fruit juices either and no still cold drinks only fizzy and no desserts not even ice cream.

Lovely fish and chips…never had a nicer fish cake, with actual piece of fish inside,not the usual thin slice of questionable origin…..and not expensive. Looking forward to going again. Friendly and very helpful staff…a really good family outing

Food good but door wide open and freezing so food goes cold quickly .asked if she would mind closing the door .. just stormed off and shut it . A restaurant is supposed to be a place that you serve hot food not where it goes cold before you have eaten it . Poor attitude from staff , restaurant for customers not staff convenience

This is undoubtedly one of the best chippies I’ve ever used. The chips are always cooked perfectly and you get a substantial portion for the price. The fish is a great colour and crispness. The quality is totally reliable, it doesn’t matter what time or day I go the quality is always exceptional. Service is always fast and with a friendly smile. Me and my family highly recommend.

Question for 15 mins with no orderly queue, 90% of people standing around randomly without face masks. Sign states no mask- no entry! Orders came out in no specific order. Fish small overcooked, dry batter falling off. Chips not cooked, pale and very soggy. Shocking

My dad introduced me to this little gem a couple of years back and I can't recommend their fish and chips enough. I travel to get them from here. The fish is beautifully cooked, moist, yet the batter is crispy. The chips are not the dry, powdery ones you tend to get these days. I have not had a bad portion yet. Also, the customer service is faultless. These taste like fish and chips used to.

Lived in keighley all my life & only just started visiting, can’t believe I’ve not been before. Great food & friendly service!!!

We use this fish shop on a Friday for lunch, I would highly recommend the chicken nuggets with chips and Chinese curry sauce.

Lovely fish n chips here we don't visit enough but always happy when we do . Also nice friendly staff.

I got two fish and chips from Stockbridge fisheries and when I got home one half of the batter was stuck to the paper, I couldn't even eat it all it was that bad

Been here a couple of times with our walking group following a Riverside and canalside walk. Fabulous value for money. The fish, especially, was great and the staff are brilliant

Very enjoyable fish and chips at a reasonable price. The staff are always pleasant and cheerful downside for customers but Not for the owners isyou have to queue as they are so busy.

Another very good chippy I have been using for the last 15 years. Despite competition from a recently opened 'franchise' fish and chip restaurant, this family run shop is still great.

Old school chippie serving really very good fish and chips. Very decent portions. Well worth a visit. Lots of fish and chip shops in and around Bradford but this one is well worth the extra bit of travelling. Keep it up!

Some of the best fish and chips in town. Big portions and excellent quality. Parking to pick up can sometimes be a problem but then you park on the pavement like everyone else does.
