Popped in for some lunch for the first time at the dalrymple shop and was greeted by a very nice woman. There was some things I've not seen in any other bakers before and reminded me of the old fashioned bakers you used to get. The food was delicious and the service was great, we definitely will be back soon!

A cracking Soda Bread Breakfast Sandwich, packed with Bacon, Egg and Lorne Sausage, topped with Brown Sauce, great! A filling start to a long day ahead. At £2.45 it was amazing value for money. Would have given a 5/5 if the Egg was runny but apart from that, no complaints. Lovely, chatty staff made the visit pleasant.

I worked for this man and as has been said by another person his attitude to his staff is shocking! If that is your attitude time to sell up and let someone else take over! I applied for a shop manager role advertised at a certain rate! Was working first day and staff told me you won’t get that, we don’t! I reported it to indeed as false advertising and he sacked me for it! This is my honest experience with this company!

Can't fault the food from your baker's shop, but feel you have to be made aware of the shocking service we experienced a few days ago (5th October) in your sit-in Pantry. Have eaten here a few times and up until Wednesday 5th October always enjoyed the food and had great service. However on our recent visit I would strugle to say anything positive about our experience. Started off with my first request for a CLEAN cup as I do not drink from badly stained cups - no eaterie should expect this of customers. The youngish female behind the counter obviously wasn't pleased at my request and grudgingly provided me with another. As I was about to pour milk into this, the second cup, I couldn't believe what I saw - a big chip out of the edge of the rim. Again I went back to the counter and requested another cup. The same assistant was not pleased, drew me a dirty look and as she walked off to get a THIRD cup, shook her head. This is no way to treat customers. When we got our food mine was at least edible, though the toastie was so bland I had to add salt and pepper to it to get a bit of "something" to taste. My husband's meal (all day breakfast) was a disgrace. On the plate there were - 2 link sausages, 1 slice sausage, half a tomato, a potato scone, a hash brown, a fried egg, a rasher of bacon, a round of black puding and some beans and a slice of toast- 11 items in total. The sausages, bacon, potato scone were all so hard they were inedible and he only ate a few bits of the links, the egg, hash brown and beans. The black pudding disintigrated into mush among the beans, so wasn't fit to eat either. The toast was barely "toast" in the middle, but was all but incinerated at the crusts, so likewise not fit to eat. When I went to pay the bill, I comemnted to the very dour faced assistant that "that has to be the worst breakfast ever as my husband could hardly eat any of it". Her response was to look over at the table where our plates were still sitting and say " there's hardly anything left on the plate so he must have eaten it". I couldn't believe what I heard. I pointed out that there was more left on the plate than had been eaten, to which she replied " there were 13 itmes on the plate and he's eaten most of them". I then told her that I wasn't going to stand and argue with her as her attitude was shocking and that I was going to take the matter further - her response to this was yet again another dirty look and shake of her head as she rammed my change into my hand. Never once were the words, sorry, please or thank you uttered by this female. We will NEVER be back in the Pantry again and I also would advise others to choose one of the many other eating places in the town to got to unless you want the worst service ever!!! Myself and the boys from work pop into Stobbs the Baker for a takeaway lunch we love all their food hot or cold the service is fast the staff cheerful and it wont break the bank the only problem we see is parking the truck as its very popular but we get there in the end but watch out for the traffic wardens.

Pure and simple pants, the so called bakers that bake???, are clearly useless and perhaps should start from scratch the owner is clearly only interested in profits and not taste, value for money, quality need I go on,m. Go back to simple baking.... If u know what that is. I think his name the owner is umbertoe and he should have a look of his staff and overall appearance of his business shocking

Large chips....well small sweet bag full... pretty poor show for 8.00 with an unbattrted sausage, not a hot dog or a saveloy . I don't usually do bad write ups as usually just don't go again but that was seriously disgusting.....oh and not chip shop chops either

Drove to Dobbie's for lunch at 1pm today. The roll and sandwich counter was busy as usual, but the hot food counter was empty, I liked the look of the cauliflour cheese, a waited to be served, and waited, and waited. To my left people were being served, to my right ( coffee point) people we being served, i made a point of looking like I would like to be served, i noticed a staff member or possibly the cafe boss made a great job of ignoring me as she wandered backward and forth several times. Eventually I gave up, I shan't be going to Debbie's Ayr any more.

Had lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.
