Sticky Fingers Street Food in Cardiff

Had the best chicken I’ve ever tasted here from Ychafi, so juicy and full of flavour! Highly recommend trying any of them as they all sound incredible but here I had the Nashville Hot wings and the NY Buffalo loaded tray. So scrummy, especially with the cocktails from the bar which came at a good deal and super sweet! Great fitting atmosphere as well.

Ate from the fire and flank menu, it was great and the chef was friendly and caring towards allergy’s. Will be coming back.

Had 4 steak and mash from Fire & Flank. Absolutely amazing mashed potato and steak and the steak was cooked perfectly. 5 star At the same time, ordered the New York buffalo sandwich From Ychafi. Again, this sandwich was pretty awesome and tasty. 5 Star The reason I didn’t order from Sin Nombra is I observed whilst they’re not busy the two chefs are wearing hoodies Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but in my opinion doesn’t look good in the kitchen. Also observed when not cooking Both chefs were on their phones And also the one without the glasses and looks younger With dark hair was constantly scratches his face. 2 Star

The venue itself is decent. I ordered food from Flank, and it was perfectly fine—the steaks and burgers were very good. However, I also tried the buffalo burger from Ychafi, and it was a disaster. It was completely overpowered by a strong vinegar taste, possibly from whatever was pickled on top, which ruined the entire burger. The service was also disappointing. Our waiter was rude, barely spoke, and failed to explain what he was serving. At one point, there was a mix-up with the burgers, leading one of my friends to eat someone else’s order. When we pointed out that the confusion was caused by the lack of communication from the waiter, and that we were now short a burger, the response was essentially, “Unlucky, your friend owes you £8.” Considering we spent over £100 as a group, it’s frustrating that the staff weren’t willing to take responsibility for their mistake. A little effort to correct the mix-up would have gone a long way. Ultimately, it’s a shame to see an innovative business be let down by staff who seem to value overheads over customer satisfaction.

My favourite pub in Cardiff. Lovely staff, cracking tunes, great food and all my favourite beers (Crafty Devil, Tiny Rebel, Blue Moon...). My wife and I are always made to feel very welcome, and the pub is very dog friendly, too. Can't recommend this place enough.

Food was okay, but customer service appalling

Worst burrito I've ever had. Brothers loaded fries were doused in salt to the point it was burning his mouth. Chicken wings were nice tho. Drinks lovely & service very good. Food overal rubbish. Don't eat here.

The food is lovely and if you enjoy the street food vendors of Cardiff then it’s a great spot to support them. However, and this is a big however, the so called “owner” (the guy who seats you) is so awful at customer service. He is abrasive and has left a bad taste in our mouths about being at the venue. Again, the food traders saved the evening so we hope they are being paid fairly. The night (albeit a 6 nations night) started at 7:30 and the place was understandably busy. We had booked a table (this was sold as a “6 nations table) for 4 people to watch the game. The game in which only 2 people could watch as the seating was tucked away in the corner of the venue with one small tv facing just 2 of the table. How this is acceptable I don’t know? When we asked to move the answer simply was you booked a table, this is a table, and if we didn’t like it there were pubs called The Albany and The Royal George we could go to. Frankly, as someone who has been to these places they are much more accommodating and nicer places to drink with better quality beverages too. Save your money and only support business who want your custom. By the sounds of the so called owner those places are The Albany and the royal George!

Ideal if you want to eat but not sure what! There are multiple vendors so lots to pick from and they always change so you’ll never get bored of having the same thing when you go there. Fairly cheap drinks as well because it is in a student area

We loved Sticky Fingers. Lots of tables with a strong choice of beer. Food is ordered via a QR code at the table from guest street food chefs. During our visit, we had a range of exceptional street food from Fire & Flank and Ychafi ~Smash burgers were a big hit!

If you're after a peaceful, relaxed evening with great food and drinks, this pub is the place. The ambiance is chill, with cozy seating and a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The staff is friendly, and they know how to make a perfect cocktail. Whether you’re having a drink on your own or with a group, it’s the ideal spot for a low-key night.

It’s good place to chill with friends

Food was great! So happy to see Queen Pepiada there and recommended to others 👌 We need to spread the word about that place! They have space for 5 vendors I believe, but only 3 currently operating there. No desserts at all, from any vendor. Have to order drinks at the bar but food on the app (from table) . Wish you could order drinks in the app too. No napkins provided. Very cool venue, well decorated. Very quiet (think one other table at the other end of the venue) so lacked atmosphere. Rubbish strewn about the pavement outside. Maybe not technically their responsibility, but a very off putting welcome. Some positives, some negatives.

Nice idea for a venue but very poor execution. There were three street food vendors and between them they had exactly one vegetarian main. This was only slightly better than last time I'd been there, when they had exactly one vegetarian main which had sold out. Food was ok-ish, but poorly presented and a tiny portion.

The food amazing, venue beautiful. Will I come back? Big ol' nope. Between the 3 of us who came in today after a gym class and we were starving. Our food came, was beautiful and as we were eating my friends pointed out that a 40+ year old man who looked like he worked in IT was staring at us. They were very aware of the staring which didn't stop. A little while after a very embarrassed barman explained that the manager had just walked in, seen us drinking water from sports bottles and they asked us to put them away. Not an unfair request and totally understandable, we were all more than happy to comply. The barman was kind, clearly gutted to tell us off and happy to bring water to us, what a lovely man. However haven't we all been there with that kind of manager and isn't it small D energy when a manager, instead of dealing with the situation like a boss stares at customers and gets his staff to chastise customers for him. Be a manager and deal with it yourself and don't lay that on your lovely staff to deal with. Also I agree, you do look like you work in IT.

We had a great party with 30 people, the staff was so nice and helpful! The drinks were delicious and looked amazing! Would definitely recommend.

Great food, good value and great service. Very enjoyable place to eat and socialise.

Ultimately super surprised with this place. Huge bar, masses of space to eat, friendly informative staff and superb food. Big place but tucked away. Very impressed. Amazing selection of food from vegan to meat covered chips. Lunch with beer was the best I've had in a long while. Definitely be back again very soon.

The food looks good but smashes your stomach. Lemon wings taste like you’re eating a raw lemon. Two of us man down after eating here. Please taste the food before you serve it!

Id Give this place a solid 4.5 out of 5. Has been on my list of places to go for a while, so I took the opportunity to organise a bro date here. Atmosphere was awesome. Went on a Friday night and to fill up such a big space outside of the centre was quite impressive, but at no point felt like I was rubbing shoulders with strangers. Bit of a pale Ale snob myself and they indeed offered me with a Great choice of Local pale ales and beers. When I say that, I mean ACTUALLY FROM CARDIFF 🤯. Staff were chatty, and knew their stuff about the products they sold. 5/5 as far as the bar goes. Also ate here, having the 2 meats, 2 sides option at the texas bbq joint here. Slightly pricey, but I was willing to splash for a good BBQ feast. It looked great and the pickles were pretty awesome, but I could only give this a 4/5 I'm afraid. Bbq sauce was a bit sickly sweet, and this is personal preference obviously, but the crinkly fries just reminded me of McCains microwave chips (but were cooked to perfection). It was good, but I can't help feeling like it fell into the realm of average. Still worth the money though. Overall worth a visit, expecially for drinks. I feel like most people would give this a 5 across the board, I'm just pedantic. I'll definitely be visiting again though, that says enough.

An interesting bar offering a good range of drinks in a very informal environment. The food choice is great too with a choice from three little kitchens - Mexican, burgers or various pulled meats.

I've been to sticky fingers a fair few times now since I moved to Roath. It's always got a good vibe going on and is a brilliant place to meet for a pint and some food - particularly in larger groups due to the variety of food on offer.

Nice selection of beverages and great options for food. Unfortunately, the music is way too loud. Trying to have a normal conversation was difficult. After an hour I couldn't stand it anymore and had to leave. I observed that other people didn't stay for very long either.

Had street food. Jerk chicken, rice and peas, very bland, no kick, chicken a bit dry. Couldn't taste the pineapple sauce. My mate had the chicken burger and chips, very expensive for small portion. I think that all the great pop up restaurants are at Forest Festival with Street Food Circus. Great bar menu and non alcoholic choices, draft and spirits. Lovely staff. Was packed on a Sunday for quiz night.

Quiet when we went on a Tuesday. HOWEVER, great deals for a drink, enjoyed a bottle of prosecco for £15 AND the peach beer is absolutely delicious. Food also amazing.

Great choice of street food. We ordered bao bans, tacos and Korean chicken bowl. All of them tasty, freshly made and hot. On the small size for the price, more for a nibble rather than dinner. Staff were polite and smiling.

Awesome venue! Great atmosphere, wicked music!! Love the different foodie venues in one place. Tried Bao Selecta but will be back to sample more. Love this place! These kinds of venues should be all over the place.

Great place to dine in or have drinks with friends. Food vendors offer a variety of cuisines that cater for vegans and vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Friendly staff and good atmosphere with a nice outdoor area.

Came here on a Tuesday which is the guest takeover where vegan filth was on. Everything can be ordered through a website on your phone and is easy to use. The food was really tasty and full of flavours. Will definitely come back here again.

Ordered food, and app closed shortly afterwards. Whilst the other end of table were subsequently told that the last few orders MAY be cancelled, we weren't told that our order WAS cancelled. Would have been nice to be told and not find out when we queried about our order much later.

Trendy street food venue with great selection of some of Cardiff's best street food restaurants and an excellent app for ordering so you can have a bit of everything you fancy. Lookout for happy hour for cheap cocktails and the Sunday pub quiz is great fun!

Sticky fingers always seems to have a great range of venders, they also make some great cocktails. The app is a little clunky it would be better if you could view all the vendors in one central place.

Smells feel and taste like playdoe. Told the women and she didn't seem to care. Pulled beef taco is yuk

Very much a young person's place bit it has a good vibe and good food. Not brilliant for vegetarians though. Ordering is via QR code on your table which saves the bill split at the end but means you don't chat to those bringing the food. Perhaps that is the intention!

Cool indoor street food venue featuring some interesting and changing vendors. Happy Hour daily 5-7pm. Ordering is done through the dreaded QR system (time consuming, anti-social & annoying). Music is way too loud cant hear each other speak, please consider turning this down its a food hall not a night club. Food and service is great though! Lots of veggie options -had the Spicy Cauliflower Sando from Fowl & Fury👌🏻🔥🥵

I appreciate they were quite busy. We were asked to sit right by the door and squeezed 5 onto a 4 seater high table. When there were lots of tables free for the 1 hour duration we were there. Had they the good sense to ask the question we could of had a potentially much better experience. Of the 5 meal's ordered, one was excellent fries and beef. The flatbreads were appallingly small portions and would not be recommended for nearly £8.

Nice place to dine out, street food that every sometimes changes, so you choose differents kind of cousins and from different kitchens that you can actually see from where you sit, they serve beer and spirits, you can Asian food, Thai food, Mexican or Spanish food it's basically food around the world. Staff it's really nice , you can book from code on the table or order the drinks directly to the bar. There is a nice smoking area as well inside where you can sit even if is raining because its covered. If you need to have a important conversation I don't really suggest it because the music in background it's very loud!

Best place to take that picky mate and still have the opportunity to get something interesting for yourself. With the different vendors your guaranteed great grub 😋

Food is fantastic but the music is way too loud. I wouldn’t eat here often because you can’t have a conversation. I don’t want to yell across a table to my friends. It’s a big shame because the vendors they choose are some of the best and I love the concept of multiple eateries but I can’t stand the volume of their music. Please consider turning it down. We were a party of five and we all said the same thing and won’t rush to come back.

Food was nice but customer service was awful. Manager was poor and enjoyed the place of power and forgot its a customer service role. No reason it can’t be a 5* if they sort they’re staffing / management out

This place is the best , banging food , quiz every Sunday. Four "street food" stall in so plenty of choice of what to eat, and regually rotates. Tuesday takeover every week Couldn't recomend more !

Food was great and service from lady chef was excellent. Bar and floor staff service could be better. Cocktails average not bad for Cardiff, apart raspberry sour. That was nasty and wayyyy to sour )) I would recommend to learn what Sour cocktails stands for before to reply to customers that is meant to be sour

Really nice casual vibe! There's 3 food stands inside that change periodically, it was bao buns, Greek and BBQ for me. Cocktails are smart and classy, nice atmosphere, good for any size group.

Amazing chicken burger from Fowl & Fury! Listen when they warn you about the spice tho. Medium is about Madras level of spice. Mild is probably a comfortable level for most.

Glad to see this place open again. Good bar selection and 5pm-7pm happy hour was good. Birthday cocktails and food. We chose food from 3 different kitchens. You have to order separately on the app but was easy enough. Nice friendly staff and dog friendly.

Come for the Bao Buns. Stay for more Bao Buns. Maybe have a beer as well.

Great food and broadly better than Corporation Yard. Decent enough drinks and good service. Only complaint is that it is way too loud in there. Gotta shout to have a conversation.
