Fabulous family run bakers with friendly staff. We particularly love the bread, gingerbread men and butterscotch tart!

Just the best bakers anywhere! The bread is divine and there are always new things to try. Staff are lovely.

Had an amazing lunch at Stenning’s Bakery today. We had a fish finger sandwich with chips and the warm goat’s cheese salad with poached pears and candied walnuts. Both were absolutely delicious, excellent value and the service was 5 star. The bread, cakes and coffee are all superb too!

I spoke to the owner about getting 40 custom-sized ring donuts made for my wedding reception donut wall. He made them the perfect size with only a photo of the wall and ruler as a guide. The donuts were beautifully iced and the price very reasonable. Regrettably I forgot to take a picture. All of the donuts were consumed!

Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea for Mother’s Day at a lovely family bakery. Suitable for all the family where the children get their own little tower of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Friendly staff made the experience very pleasant too. Thank you again Stenning bakery!

Been past this bakery dozens of times and decide to pop in and grab a cake week before last, left with sausage roll, strawberry tart, doughnuts and bread. The produce was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful especially the strawberry tart and the prices are very reasonable. Might be making this a weekly visit

I went with my family today for their Afternoon Tea. The food was absolutely beautiful, you can tell everything was baked and made fresh that day, even down to the sausage roll (which was my personal favourite) The cake selection was well thought out and i have to say, its the best Afternoon Tea ive been too. The service and staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Its a family run bakery and they really do make you feel like you are family too. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you for a lovely day, we will be back.

Went there for afternoon tea with my extended family. Amazing sandwiches, scones and cakes and most importantly amazing people running it. So friendly and helpful and made my 7 year old daughter feel so special.

A while back we prebooked our festive afternoon tea again so we didn't miss out.We went today! As usual the atmosphere was friendly and festive with happy attentive staff and beautifully set tables with Christmas crackers too. We had a choice of complimentary Prosecco/Bucks Fizz/Fresh orange juice on arrival which we of course accepted!Our tea order was taken and we were regulary offered a fresh pot.The food arrived soon after- a beautiful selection of fresh sandwiches on The Bakerys fabulous baked in house bread.Turkey,salmon,cheese,egg&ham for us.We're meat eaters and have no allergies but they have accomodated our vegetarian friend before with prior notice and a good selection provided with no problem at all. Two beautifully lights scones each and loads of cream and jam- they don't skimp on portions- then onto the cakes!! All handmade with lots of care and attention to detail. Christmas cake,ginger cake,a choux swan a chocolate mint and the most devine 'shot' of lemon posset topped with a fresh raspberry and shortcake star!! Way too much for us to manage there and then after the sandwiches and scones and so much tea.We both happily had our uneaten cakes boxed to enjoy when we got home! It was a lovely festive treat in the run up to Christmas- really good value for money-so glad we booked up early.Tables go fast once word gets out there is an Afternoon Tea day happening! Linda and her staff are always so welcoming- its a real family business with real food, loving made on the premises by family.Very rare these days.

A lovely day out with the family at The Bakery. Nothing was too much to ask. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious food and catered for my niece too! Hot chocolate, tea and even a complimentary glass of prosecco. Highly recommend!

Bought croissants, tasted of vegetable oil not buttery at all..Done on the cheap, Lidl's in my opinion are better, the place again in my opinion is going down hill?

I visited this lovely bakery with my Dad and son for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was so impressed with how the staff adapted the menu to suit my son’s food allergies. Nothing was too much trouble, fantastic 5 star customer service!

I'm in this bakery weekly as everything from latte, sausage rolls, baguettes, cakes are the best in the area. Always trying to get my daughter the Nutella muffins but whether first thing in the morning or last thing in the afternoon they've always sold out. You can imagine her face when she walked in the bakers to meet me today and I told her I'd managed to get her Nutella muffin. A very happy kid. Each week I get two loaves of bread from The bakery. One white bloomer and one malted crunch. They are always delicious. I obviously cannot resist their freshly baked cakes either. Whether it’s their Bakewell tarts, florentines or London Cheesecakes, always so good. This week it was London Cheesecakes, they were as good as ever. Flaky, crisp pastry, moist filling, lots of shredded coconut. Perfect treat for a Thursday afternoon. Thank you Stennings for being consistently great bakers.

Always fresh and a lot of cakes etc., to choose from. The cheesecakes are a 'must'. Bread is super, and can be sliced as required.

The bakery provides a variety of goods from breads, cakes, tarts, biscuits and so on. It is a little bit expensive, however you can not fault the quality of the food itself

This is the best bakery I have found in the area. There are always long queues on a Saturday morning. The bread, doughnuts, bun rounds and Eccles cakes are all superb. The prices are higher than supermarkets but not excessive and we absolutely love it.

We’ve been using this bakery since we moved to the area in 1980. Fabulous bread, especially the malt crunch. Great cakes. Now also a very nice coffee shop with good coffees, teas, sandwiches and light lunches.

Great place for breakfast., poached eggs are a treat, lovely cakes nice staff recommended. They had a baker in Belmont that I used for a long time.so now they are in the beeches it's great. Parking is not easy though.

I have been using this bakery since 1972 and couldn't fault it. It's grown and grown because of it's wonderful service, bread, cakes, and restaurant. Love it!

Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff, great food from both the bakery and restaurant catering for many tastes. It also has a lovely buzz that words cannot do justice. Would highly recommend for anything from a cup of tea, a loaf of bread or full English breakfast.

As a local to the area, I have been visiting Stenning's for years. My youth was filled with visits to the bakery and I have always loved their pink cakes (the ones with the smartie on top!). I also have a special place in my heart for their cheese and pickle roll which is perfect everytime! It's a simple pleasure, but the ingredients are always fresh. Their more extensive menu range is also great. I have had their full English and the bacon and fried egg sandwich. Both of these were delicious and service is always excellent.Keep up the great work Stenning's!

Myself and my Fiance' enjoy visiting this wonderful local bakery/business, usually with her Mum and Dad. We often sit outside and enjoy table service which is always welcome as is viewing the extensive range of wonderful fresh baked goods on the way in.

A fantastic independent bakery. Baked goods are beautiful, fresh and delicious. Plenty of other food too - breakfast, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, omelettes, plus specials. They do a fabulous eggs benedict. Service is excellent too and always busy despite this place always being full. The outdoor seating area is a beautiful sunny spot.

In the 15 years we have been going to Stenning’s bakery, we have only every had a great experience. The bakery products and food is amazing and the service exceptional. It’s hardly surprising that it is always busy!

We visited on Mother’s Day for afternoon tea. All the food is freshly baked on the premises and is quite delicious. Lovely atmosphere and very helpful and attentive staff. Very reasonably priced and you get 2 hours to relax and enjoy. Would definitely recommend

I was visiting a friend for the day and saw this bakery as I got out at Carshalton Beeches station.

Good value, friendly workers, nice vibe. We come here often for breads and pastries. But recently tried their coffees and sandwiches. Very nice choices and good value.

Been coming to this bakers for 25 years. Was in there the other day to buy a box of cakes for family visiting us. We were recommended to try the ‘wagon wheels’ which were delicious. Fully recommend this bakers for all that they sell - particularly love the sausage rolls as well!

Breakfast for two on a Saturday morning. This is a hidden gem, great food great staff and brilliant service. We sat and enjoyed a quick bacon sandwich and cheese on toast, never had such good cheese on toast. We couldn’t believe how busy the bread counter was.All in all a great place to eat.

What can I say! Myself and my family love this bakery. We have been going for years and they never disappoint. I always go for a sausage sandwich or the Eggs benedict which are both divine and my parents always go for Ham, Egg and Chips. A perfect lunch / brunch break and can sometimes be very busy you struggle to find a table. I would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of trying this local bakery out as you won’t be disappointed Plus the mini rolls and the cake/ doughnut / pastry counter is not worth missing out on. The Bun round is delicious.

I just love this place so much. It’s my local bakery but I would travel far and wide to eat here. It just has such a lovely quaint atmosphere and the staff and the locals are all so friendly. Pastries are delicious and the cooked breakfast is far superior than your average greasy spoon. There are so many options here you’ll be spoilt for choice.

I just love this bakers. We’ve been coming here for the 20 yrs we’ve lived in the area. Such delicious fresh produce and an amazing eat in cafe. Today’s new addition to the menu was the pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup which my two boys devoured.

Hmm popped In here for a quick snack as I was working. Had to wait for my roll to be made ( about 5mins maybe more) when it arrived it was very small if I'd known I'd of ordered 2! The Cornish pastie wasn't too great either. Also it was expensive. Haven't returned. As it seems they only accept card payments over £5 !!!

There has been a bakery on this site for many years. Since he took on the shop next door and incorporated it into the original bakery it has gone from strength to strength. Tables outside and also lunches. The bread of course is excellent.

My husband and I popped in for lunch today. It didn’t let us down. It was very busy but we got a table outside straight away. Everything about this cafe is lovely. I had the crayfish open sandwich, it was delicious with a ton of crayfish and beautifully served. Mike had the special which was a roast pork philly sandwich. The bread was amazing and the filling incredible. We will be going back very soon as I want to have one! It goes without saying that the staff are all lovely and the place spotless.

Out relatives come from across the Globe and head straight to the bakery for their fix of the delicious bread.

Called in for lunch as in the area. I had scrambled eggs on toast and an Americano. The scrambled egg was beautifully cooked and very generous portion. My wife makes this just the way I like it so hard to beat (sic) but this was lovely. Really creamy and very well cooked. Good service and reasonable prices. Free short term parking nearby. Well worth a visit and the cakes are very tempting.

Feeling peckish and on my way back to Carshalton station I thought I would give this a try.

From the moment we walked in, we felt the friendly, welcoming ambiance. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and staff here. I have had many afternoon teas over the years in various hotels, and this one is on a par with the best of them. The room was relaxing and elegant, with white tablecloths and pleasant music in the background.

Amazing afternoon on Mothers day. Perfect ambience, wonderful service, lovely China with pristine tablecloths & little finishing touches. Best sandwiches & cakes ever, beats any London hotels!

After being lucky enough to be taken for afternoon tea by my lovely daughters for Mother’s Day. What a wonderful treat it was. Went with my wife and my 4 year old. I had a panini and my wife had a baguette. The baguette could of been for us both!! It was fresh and tasty! The pecan and maple muffin was out of this world!!

Friebdly place which is populat with the locals. Has a range of pastries and breakfast and lunch time food. Only tried the sweet pastries and they were good. Came in a few mins before closing and they still had lots left so not sure if they recycle them for the next day or how fresh they are.

The only problem I have with this bakery is that the staff serving the the bread don't wear hygiene gloves. As I waited on my take away I observed the staff handing out the bread. They would grab the baked bread with their bear hands and put it into a bag. They would then take money from the customer and hand back the change. They would continue to repeat this process without washing their hands. Food handlers must wash their hands after handling money.

You will not find better a better bakery anywhere nearby. The bread and rolls are always fresh and the expanded kitchen menu never fails to impress. It is hardly surprising that it is always very busy!

Selected from a great selection of sandwiches and very tasty coffee. Always busy with people ordering and sitting inside and out which is a really good sign. Helpful staff too.

We are so lucky to have such a great bakery only a short walk from where we live. The queues out of the door on a Saturday morning says it all. Fresh bread, great sandwiches, delicious cakes, a wide selection of hot food and... ice cream. #bringbackthemilkshakes. You really can not go wrong!

Had lunch here with two young children, they had sausages, beans and toast and the portions were huge. I had a chicken salad sandwich on a baguette which was very tasty. The coffee was also very good. Service was fast and the staff were very friendly. I'd definitely stop here again.

I tend to have Eggs Royale and it is always delicious. My husband has a full English whenever we come which is every few weeks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The food tastes like they use fresh and good quality ingredients. The sausages in particular are much better than surrounding cafes I've been to.

Group of 4 of us went here for breakfast on saturday morning recently. Place was heaving even at 8.30 in the morning with queues out the door to get bread and sundries at the counter.

Very tasty fresh food, I had warm goats cheese salad, it was so good. Great friendly service. You order at the counter and food is brought over to you when freshly prepared. Lovely, friendly buzz about the bakery. The bonus is on your way out you can buy bread that has been made and baked on the premises.

The best 'flat white' I've found so far and a superb variety of filled rolls or freshly made cakes and buns. They also do a very good range of breakfast/brunch meals and I can heartily recommend the eggs benedict.

Having walked in and sat down to look at the menu our initial thoughts were that the prices are fairly reasonable. However when the breakfasts were placed in front us, everything looked of a good quality. When it came to the taste we were certainty not disappointed. The coffee was so nice we had more!! And all the staff had smiles and were very friendly and even the chef was happy to fetch us some glasses of water upon request. The seems to be a genuine team effort to look after there customers. We will certainly be making a return visit to stennings bakery and cafe.

I often meet friends here for lunch and there is a good varied menu and very good value with a selection of foods from the bakery and traditional breakfast and other dishes

Having used this bakery over the years for the odd croissants/rolls/pies and were always impressed , we have now moved within 200ft.This will probably be a bad thing for our waistlines !!

A nice bakery with an attached coffee shop serving few light lunches. Reuben sandwich was superb as was the Bakewell tart. Comfortable area to sit in and service was good too. Smiling staff. Well recommended. Only negative is that there is little parking near by and limited to 30 minutes outside.

It was always a great local bakery and it is even better now that they expanded to the shop next door. Great coffee, lovely meals and still the same great cakes. Friendly family run business.

We are fortunate to have a fantastic bakery within walking distance of our house. The bread, rolls, pastries, cakes and biscuits are second to none - and all home made. Try the poppy seed white bread or a pecan Danish pastry. Apparently the coffee is great too...
