Mellows Pavilion Cafe in Sutton

We're do I start. I had booked a party for my son 5th birthday, everything went well kids had fun nice spacious area. My son was playing in a play area in this cafe and was attacked by a child scratch the side of his face. The owner was not really bothered thought he would had a cared a little as my son only 5. The lady of the son who attacked my 5 year old was taken in the cafe by the owner the he decided to phone the police.which I am still baffled when it was my son that got attacked. I would of recommended this place to anyone but when the owner show little care for my son and other kids that attended the party. This made me no the type of person he is racist

We held a party here for my 6th years old son and we loved it. The games room, bouncy castle and food, including an ice cream.The kids and adults a loved it and had a great time. I do recommend this place. Brilliant party !!!

Poped in today on way back to hotal,knew this park from childhood,cafe moved from when I knew it. Resanbelly priced good selection off snack s,licenced lovely outside seating,just a really nice park cafe

We held a party here for my Son and took advantage of the package offered by the cafe which included use of the games room, bouncy castle and food. The kids and adults alike loved it and had a great time. The new games room is brilliant. Honestly can't fault this place. I often visit with my younger Son and always find staff to be friendly and food delicious. Well worth a visit.

A very disappointing meal at the Cafe today. We ate in the garden and our food was served on cheap quality paper plates. Whilst disappointed I thought that this was the norm and would learn by the experience. I then noticed the next table had their meals on China plates. I asked the owner why this was and he tried to blame Covid which was unacceptable. He then said that whilst he uses disposable items where possible, some foods were not able to be served on paper plates. He said other customers had ordered cooked breakfast and seemed to consider an omelette appropriate for a paper plate. I pointed out that the plate was wet and the food inedible. The Manager continued to blame Covid, mentioning single entrance and exit and that 2 toilets were closed. I did not consider this appropriate and returned to the food issues. I was offered a refund on one item of our food order but the whole experience was unpleasant, the food unenjoyable, the coffee foul and the Manager unreasonable. An experience I will not be repeating.

Its a great place to visit when out with the kids the food is made from quality ingredients and plenty of choice available. Staff are great to .

Nice cafe, seating inside and outside, the staff are friendly. A nice selection of food, drinks and ice creams. This cafe also has and alcohol & music license. The venue is also available to hire for kids parties, in the garden area they have a party hut and a section of garden which is segregated for party games etc. the cafe is dog friendly which is a bonus.

I had not been to this cafe before the new owner took over so I can’t compare but I just had to write a review as I am so impressed with their set up. They have sandpit, kids ride on cars, and lots of other outdoor games for children of all ages. Plenty of outdoor seating in a safe environment where adults can enjoy some good food whilst watching the children play. They had a separate company making authentic pizzas in stone bake oven outside - they were amazing! They source their meat in the cafe from Scott’s butchers so needless to say it will be amazing quality. They have lovely cakes and lots of ice cream choice. Bonus is that they have an alcohol license and have plans to play soft music in the summer afternoons/Early evenings. I was talking to the owner who is really motivated in making the cafe a great place for families with plans for kids parties soon. And all of the staff were lovely. We look forward to returning and trying a breakfast 🍳

I use this place occasionally and the food is always good,the doorstep bacon sandwiches especially. Friendly staff and comfortable to sit in (or out if the weather is is good.

Popped in as we had been travelling up, and wanted a cuppa. Easy to park, great cup of tea, lovely homemade cake. Staff were friendly and it was reasonably price. Just the job!

The food is nice and the portions are generous. The staff are friendly and have a welcoming attitude. The ice cream is very nice too!

Small cafe, dogs allowed. Serves typical cafe food and offers hot and Cold drinks. Plant milk is available. Friendly staff and outdoor seating available. Price is okay.

Short notice visit to the park with my 8 yo. We were both very hungry so ordered some food. Chicken goujons were great and my chicken baguette was delicious. Didn't skimp on the portions. Lovely ladies cooking and serving, really friendly. Will definitely eat there again. Not overpriced either. Thanks.

Hubby and I had sausage baguette - very nice though did take a while to arrive so lucky we were not in a rush - then again it was cooked exactly to specification so waiting was worth it.

This is a welcoming and friendly park cafe. They serve a good choice of food & drinks. They are kind enough to fill a child’s water bottle with out having to buy a bottle of water. The cafe does get very busy at times and there is sometimes a bit of a wait. The service is always friendly & polite. They have a coffee loyalty card which is great for someone like myself who is a frequent visitor to the park. The toilets are clean and open to all. Not just those purchasing from the cafe which is fab.

It was my first visit to the park and the café. I was so pleasantly surprised. It was very busy but both the ladies were very efficient. We had toast, a cheese Panini, cold and hot drinks. All served promptly and with a smile. Will definitely return.

This is a great place to visit as a destination for lunch or coffee. There is ample parking, especially on weekdays. Due to the high standard of food - the soups taste home made - you may have to wait just a little bit longer than your normal greasy cafe. However, this is not a greasy cafe and it caters to gluten free customers, with scrummy cakes available gf, as well as soya milk for lactose intolerant coffee lovers, such as myself. The coffee is excellent too.

Lugar limpio para comer y quizás sentarse afuera en un día agradable, pero los veranos parada aquí para el desayuno de ayer.La mayoría de el desayuno estaba bien, pero las salchichas no estaban cocinados en el medio. Suficiente, después de hablar con el cocinero/chef me dieron un reembolso por el precio de las salchichas contra el precio del desayuno. (que vergüenza)a un café es muy querida, ya no viene como parte del desayunohe dado una clasificación media en vez de una pobre porque me dieron un reembolso por el precio de las salchichas(Todos cometemos errores).

A menudo visita mellowes con mis nietos y siempre, entrad en el cafe. Nieta de 15 meses y 2 años de amor la nieto helado bolas mientras tenemos un café. Ambiente relajado y amable personal. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita después de un viaje a jugar en el parque.

Needed Sunday breakfast on way to Sutton. This place was absolutely perfect. Excellent service by the 2 young members of staff and the food was just what was needed. Lovely cuppa and will deffinately pop in again

We have visited mellows pavilion cafe many times since it opened, we visit as a couple and with our grandaughter, we've always found the food to be very good,well presented and hot and value for money.This cafe now has a big outdoor area at the back,ideal in summer take your iced smoothie out there while the kids have ice cream,and relax,no one rushes you.You are also welcome to use the toilets here even if you're not buying.The guy who runs this cafe is the same guy who runs Beddington Pavilion Cafe,so if you've been there you know the quality to expect. Children are always welcome and the toilets are clean and the cafe well cared for, go along and see for yourself

Food is great staff is great it's a great meeting place for family or work friends it's nice to have a place when your kids are playing in the park that you can get a drink

Love this cafe and the beddington park cafe also, both have excellent helpful staff who always go above and beyond to help. Wide variety of food which is all of a high standard, and as for the owners they are always around and make you feel like you have known them for years :-)

Great cafe, good choice of lunches and snacks. We have only had snacks from this cafe so I can not comment on the taste of the food. Reasonably priced. Nice coffee (but no skimmed milk). Clean toilets. Helpful staff.
