Came for lunch and a couple drinks. First, when ordering drinks we were told there was only one member of staff working and from the other reviews, this isn't the first time! Ordered food which took ages to arrive and when it did, the burger bun was rock hard and the fish batter was severely undercooked! Absolutely rank!

A great pub and has been so for years. Incredibly friendly staff naturally creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Roast dinners or sausage and chips have long been a favourite of mine here. Cannot recommend enough!

Great experience at The Plough with Don and the team. Visiting as I have a three hour wait for my car service and have been looked after very well. Helped Don out with his crossword while I waited and enjoyed a hearty toastie lunch. Will be back next time I have the car serviced!

Another great Saturday Afternoon watching the Six nations, with friends (shame about the result!). Always a great day, the bar team are always friendly and welcoming and a good selection of beers. Would not go anywhere else! Would highly recommend!

Lovely food on a Sunday evening!

Really friendly pub with a good atmosphere. Plays music you can pick yourself on secret DJ and shows big sports games and events, as well as hosting band nights and quiz nights. Welcomes dogs and they sometimes get leftovers, if they ask Ruth nicely.

Haven't tried the food yet but the staff are incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable... Nice garden and a decent selection of beers. The place has a nice local feel to it.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, really what was needed in the cold weather. Service was really friendly and fast, food was great.

Typical Young’s Pub - good beer, OK food but little wine choices. Nice atmosphere and great space.

We came here for a Sunday roast with family and friends for a pre Christmas get together. There was a poor choice for vegetarians as the roast potatoes are covered in beef fat. We asked for a plant burger to go with our roast and never got it! Instead we received a pile of vegetables with no roast potatoes!! Some people ordered a beef roast dinner and only got one slice of beef. We were very disappointed as we are regulars at this pub. Next year we will be going somewhere different for our Xmas get together.

Three lovely rum and cokes consumed in there tonight, one with a nice chunky slice of lime. My fellow drinkers enjoyed themselves. I didn't go to the bar myself as we had a whip but service was quick. Cosy atmosphere and they've made a good effort with the Xmas decorations. Well done.

I jumped on the bus going the wrong way to get home from ASDA . When I and the wife jumped off to head the right direction we decided to grab a bite when we saw the Plough. They were only serving Sunday Roast and I am extremely glad . I would have hated to have ordered something else and missed this great dish! Being from Texas there is a certain expectation when it come to cooked beef and this roast didn’t disappoint but you will pay for it. It’s a bit pricey for only 1 piece of beef but the quality was outstanding. I will return for more!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Decided to go after our Sunday league game. First time I’ve visited the pub and I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere and the staff and service was 100%. Id defo be looking to take the team there after Sunday games in the future.

A large pub with outdoor seating. This pub has a lot to offer and is ok for a few pints. Not had a hot meal but the locals I spoke to do rate the food. I had a sausage roll from the bar that was very nice. Other bar snacks available. The problem for me is the clientele. When busy on a Friday, Saturday night or Sunday afternoon I find the place very intimidating. I only ever feel relaxed here on a mid week evening when there is no football being shown. Staff are friendly and toilets were clean. Atmosphere varies on what day and time you come.

The friendliest local in Wallington and Beddington. Great staff who care about the customers. Great customers, excellent conversations, fun banter, forging strong friendships. Strongly recommend

I loved eating here. I had the bangers and mash. It was a FULL PLATE!! It tasted homemade. My standout moment was the Guinness gravy. My partner had the burger and he said it was gooooood. Great chips, too! The music was a little loud where we were sitting, but nothing unbearable. The venue is really nice and the staff are kind. I like the different seating options!!

The staff are always friendly. Me and my other half had the plough burger. It was excellent I'd recommend it to anyone coming in.

Came in with 7 friends yesterday (Friday night) for a late drink after bowling. We received a warm welcome and the barman was friendly. The atmosphere was good and we were able to find a table. The TV was a bit loud for my liking (as we had come to chat, not watch TV) but another customer was watching it, so we didn't worry about it. I was served tea in a pot - so I was happy!

The Plough were brilliant in hosting our family Wake, 29/09/2023 a sad occasion made bearable with a lovely buffet, good service and a private area, for 35+, to ourselves to catch up and share stories. We supplied a USB with a montage of photos which was played on a screen throughout. Guests were swiftly served drinks on arrival, with tea and coffee available if preferred. Staff discretely checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our very big thanks to The Plough team....you were great! Very much appreciated! The Woods..

I came in today for a roast chicken dinner and it was delicious. I would have to say it was the best roast I’ve had in a long time. Also the staff are fantastic they are really friendly and welcoming. Thank you Robyn Troy and don for having me. I will definitely be back very soon

This pub is terrific. I get wonderful service from Troy, Lewis, Robin and Tom. They are extremely friendly and helpful. I love coming in here.

I can't seem to reply to the response i got so i'm going to write it here. The food was good- no issues there-, but it was the service that held it back. We went midweek, so there weren't many people there ordering food, but the server was so slow getting our orders and bringing out the food. I had to go up to the bar after our mains to try and order dessert, just to be told that the kitchen was now closed. I wish the server had told us when we sat down what time the kitchen was closing so i wouldn't be dissappointed...

We regularly come to the Plough to watch the rugby, Ruth , Don and Troy and the rest of the team are always very welcoming, we enjoy the game the selection of beers on offer and the great surroundings.

Such a lovely bar! Great landlord, staff and customers! Probably the most welcoming bar I have ever been in! Who would have thought you can go for a quick pint in a bar in Croydon! Get a pint bought for you and chat for hours with multiple staff members and customers all whilst they look after your stuff! To top it off the crispy chicken burger is incredible!! Went to the Plough recently for the 80th Birthday of a lady who fostered me when I was a little boy. I have enjoyed a beer and some crisps at the Plough before but never eaten there. The service was the normal high quality but the food blew me away. Huge portions! The Ploughman’s was epic, the burgers 🍔 looked amazing and my gammon ham sandwich was very filling. Highly recommend! I would like to compliment Don and his staff for the excellent service that we received yesterday. I booked a table for my wife's 80th birthday; we were meeting up with some of our foster children that we looked after in the 1970s. It was nice to see them again, after a break of a couple of years. There were 8 of us sitting down for a meal. The food we had was good and wholesome and the beer wasn't too bad either!

What a lovely pub the sausage rolls are to die for. The landlord and his staff are so polite and attentive will definitely be back

Haven't ever visited The Plough in all the time I've lived in Wallington, but went there today and enjoyed the food and service. Sausage and mash got my vote and I simply enjoyed every mouthful. Others liked their meals too. Keep up the good work, Don!

The steak and ale pie was excellent. It was complemented by a first class Youngs pint along with friendly and efficient service.

Went early evening for a quick dinner I had the burger has been a long time since I've had a burger in a pub that isn't dripping in fat. The food price is no different from any other pub but the quality definitely outshines alot of them and the staff where very friendly, well worth a vist

Finally a pub that sells proper pub food lovely ham, egg and chips. Service was amazing and extremely clean didn't stink like a usual boozer which was nice. Definitely returning Lewis @bears_tasty_treats

Decent pub in Beddington. Really friendly staff, very pleasant and courteous. Good selection drinks, as you'd expect, not the cheapest though. Only ordered a bowl of chips with the drinks but they were nice enough, a good portion and served with condiments of your choice. Nice large outdoors space/seating, with an outside covered seating area, and piped music, which was nice. Uploaded the app to test the drinks service and that worked well. Will definitely try to 'frequent', although the men's toilets needed a bit of work...but then don't all men's pub toilets?!

Booked a table for 3 but we had the pub to ourselves? Saying that we were made to feel welcome and must say that the food was lovely especially the steak and ale pie,(one of the best I've ever had) shame it was not busy but not many parking spaces about?

The manager is very good and friendly. I had the jacket potato with beans and Macroni cheese, both were tasty. My friend enjoyed the Strak pie, the garlic bread was cold. The Guinness was decent.

Had driven past this Pub many times but had some business locally…so popped in with my wife for lunch. Pleasantly surprised..Very friendly staff and the food was very good and of course “A Youngs House”…Also was given some information about the History of the pub as a bonus! Will definitely drop in again. Recommend to all GW.

I don't usually do reviews of the pubs I visit,but I felt this pub warranted one👍. Went into this hostilory on a cold wet Wednesday afternoon after a few days holidaying in Morocco, needing a proper British Pint and a Decent feed,I wasn't disappointed.. from the moment I went upto the bar I felt like a regular,not just a wet Welshman who had only popped in because of the weather,the Barmaid Rachel was absolutely brilliant,not only did she pour a decent pint,she also pointed me into the direction of the nearest chemist when I mentioned that my belly was bad since 4 days earlier. I didn't fancy a massive feed,but by looking at the dishes being served to other tables I wouldn't of been disappointed ,I settled on the cod and chips without the chips.fair doos ,it was BOB ON, anyway..my mam always said that you can tell a place by the state of the toilets lol, well just like the pint and cod that I had they were immaculate,so credit to the landlord and his staff.would I return?? Definitely 👍, would I recommend... Definitely 👍. Great Pub👍🍺, if all the Bar staff are as attentive and welcoming as Rachel was to this wet little Welshman the pub is One not to drive past..So my proper review is..Beer good and a reasonable price, toilets clean 😂, food decently priced cooked great,and Rachel the bar keep absolutely brilliant 👍🍺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The best local for catching up with sports action. Whether footie, rugby, darts, tennis, golf, formula1, etc. The Gov aka Don is an all rounder world traveller and with his great staff will give you a feel of the full experience right at home here at the Plough. You just got to try it!

Back again for Sunday lunch I had Fish & Chips which was as good as last time, GF had Sunday Roast it was HUGE !!!!! Excellent couple of pints of Special, the Spanish white Roja was excellent and great value, staff super friendly will not be long before we are back again
