Lovely fish and superb chips - not often that can be said about fish and chip shops in my experience. Friendly staff and the food was freshly cooked which made it so much the better. Would highly recommend to anyone else.

Ordered a large cod and chips, that was fine a little greasy but fine, and a cheeseburger, I was asked if I’d like salad and mayo, I said yes please, and when I got home, there was one dollop of mayo in the burger and the “salad” consisted of lettuce and that was it, no cucumber or tomato, lettuce on its own is not salad.

Best traditional fish and chips in Steeple Claydon, very clean and the staff is very professional. Really like the way they present their fish and chips in boxes, not in a wrapping paper. (don't like it in wrapping paper because he's get soggy)

Food is always freshly cooked and hot. Management have been very accommodating in meeting our orders, which vary week by week. The service is friendly and efficient, with our order packed up and ready to collect on time. Many thanks.

Always had good meals here. It has changed hands but I think the changeover has been good. Always long queues which is some reassurance of popularity. If food is awful people would not go back. Everyone has their off days but have never seen this when we have ordered our family takeaway. Have and will continue to recommend this shop to other people.

We had a small gathering at our house and wanted fish n chips for everyone, I spoke to Karen during the week and asked if she could accommodate this request. Karen was more than happy to help me out and gave us great food and service on the day. Would Highly recommend this place!

Not had fish and chips in an age, so we went for a beer and had a chip supper. We had to wait for the fish to be cooked, but I have to praise them as it was fantastic, fresh, chunky cod steak, fresh batter and great chips. A happy customer, well done.

I couldn't make heads or tails of when the shop was open, but when it was open, it was awesome. The food was delicious with very generous portions. The staff was very friendly, and the guy working was so kind to help me sort out the funny English coins that takes me forever to count.

This is a brilliant fish and chip shop run by the nicest lady you could ever meet and her sister. We have been building a n extension behind the shop so have been in on numerous occasions and it’s always delicious. The large cod is amazing. Thanks very much ladies for everything.highly recommended

Ordered several meals fish, burgers, chips all cooked fresh, the fish was amazing, the burgers best my teenage children said they had ever tasted, the chips tasted delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be visiting Steeple Claydon Fish Bar on a weekly basis.

We visit the area several times a year and always make sure that we have fish, chips and mushy peas from this fish bar. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and they always remember us, which is lovely. We would visit more often but we live 200 miles away, wish I lived closer. The fish is always cooked to perfection. Thanks once again, we will be back in February

I visit my friend in Grendon Underwood regularly and Steeple Claydon Fish Bar is always our Friday ‘Chippy’ tea! Quality, well prepared and presented, skilfully cooked food. Their fish and chips are second to none! The staff are friendly and helpful and the premises are immaculate. A meal from here represents great value I highly recommend a visit.

Amazing food, brilliant staff and always busy. The best chip shop I have ever been to. I live locally and make sure I go once a week. Well worth visiting and you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars easily.

Not only does this shop do the best fish chips mushy peas curry sauce and anything else you care to try but the staff are also great - always a smile and banter. Well recommended worth a 15 minute drive
