average by any standard. Really not the place for a lavish meal. I generally go out when I stay. Service is OK but not spectacular

Excellent day for the family, food great, the kids got to see Santa and got a great present well worth the money

We had a very good Travelzoo overnight stay. This included a "free" glass of prosecco, which could be used in the restaurant, but as I can't drink it, I asked for it to swapped for house wine, [a cheaper alternative], but they refused, though I have had this option many times before in other hotels, so very disappointing. The set menu was fairly varied, but there are supplements on some dishes, which seemed quite excessive, for example, I had the prawn cocktail, [another £3], which was just three large prawns with lettuce and salsa on a plate. The steak was another £9 and not particularly special. There was a lot of very spicy sauce on each of my dishes, which overpowered the taste. BUT the service was excellent, the view of the golf course was nice, it was quiet and relaxed and as it was a very discounted stay, we couldn't complain too much.

Stayed here five nights and the food was consistently good for all three meals. Had sandwiches in a meeting room one day nd those were good too. Excellent lemon posset! Variety on the B&B menu could be more as after three nights it gets a bit samey. Good breakfast but could be more fruit selection plus they deep fry the fried eggs???!!!

We had set evening meal which gave 3/4 choices for each course, which was ample. The breakfast was piping hot, a little busy but we did go t the busiest time in the morning - therefore only what you would expect

We ate here as we were staying at the hotel. Its probably the worst restaurant ive been to in a long time. It looks run down and shabby. And my lamb tasted bland, dull, mass produced, my boyfriends salad was also turning brown like it was ready to be thrown out and they still served it! I would advise driving into crewe and find a nice restaurant there! I overhead one customer saying his fishcakes tasted like cheap frozen supermarket ones! Just awful.

Amazing evening meal and breakfasts. No complaints. Breakfast cooked perfectly with no wait for any item and the evening meal was cooked and served like a top class restaurant.

Beautiful soup, delicious chicken. Thank you so much for making us feel very welcome :) my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his Gammon and cheesecake! Also breakfast this morning was lovely.

I have also reviewed this on the hotel page but felt I needed to reiterate it here. The menu was very limited, not what is advertised on the hotel website. The options were chicken, cod or vegetarian!!! The food was over cooked and ready in minutes. Obviously prepared in volume. Not worth the money. We ate out four time that weekend and this was the worst food we had, and we were at table table for one of those.

3 courses and all superb, despite being busy with several large tables our meals were cooked perfectly. There was a nice gap between courses and again the staff were friendly. Would definitely eat here again

They do a fine burger. We had pre ordered and the food was really nice. Staff can't be faulted in any way and we're on hand to assist with anything we asked for. They are friendly and chatty. Breakfast was full of choice.

Brilliantly catered for at the conference. 200 people and the service and quality was excellent considering the numbers

Came for an evening meal on Valentine's. They'd not increased the prices like many restaurants, which was refreshing. The food was good, staff very efficient and surroundings classy. Only slight criticism was the background music didn't fit the occasion or clientele. Would definitely recommend to others.

I've arranged a weekend retreat for 62, we had all our meals and snacks in the restaurant. The food was plentiful, there was a wide variety and it was high quality. The chefs and waiters were all friendly and so well organised, we all got our food very quickly and lots of it! They catered to all our dietary requirements and nothing was too much trouble, including cooking additional meals if people didn't like what was on offer. Can't wait for our next weekend here!

Generally looks good and the menu is reflective of hat is expected in a conference hotel restaurant. However my choice of flatbed was extremely dry and had a very poor tasting topping. The restaurant was very quite when I sat down and the staff were polite enough throughout the dinner period. My main course was meant to be grilled seabass but tasted more like fish drowned sloppy mushy fish.Overall good service but seriously can't see how they have claimed this is award winning....so far from it!

The evening meal was part of the Groupon deal, and I liked the fact that the chefs could be seen preparing our dinner, and when finished it was served immediately to us. Good choice for a set menu and would cater for most visitors.However, the breakfast did let them down just a bit, both with equipment and production, they need have more freshly cooked items on display. I did see customers get freshly cooked omelettes, but the self service items were tired.

The restaurant is well decorated and has a good atmosphere.The food was well presented and the waitress was very pleasant.We ate off the set menu which offered a good choice.It was not overpriced at £20 per head for 2 courses.

We decided to take a client here as we normally take our longstanding clients to the Hand & Trumpet as great ambience and food there but as it was fully booked we decided to try here. The food was great. Belly pork was fabulous but it's let down by the ambience and feel of the hotel. Cold feeling and no atmosphere. This unfortunately puts me off eating here and we live on the park too. Also the staff can be very hit and miss. They seem to lose the good staff and have a constant roll of new staff which is not a good thing when the service is so hit and miss.

If this was a one off I would be very much surprised having watched both chefs work on the preparation and presentation of each of our three courses...If you're staying at the hotel you won't miss it....if you're in the area .. Don't miss it...!Both our varied choices, in each course, we agreed were exceptionally beyond our expectations...!The chocolate torte was heavenly..

The food was great but the waiting staff lacked any personality. The room was cold and they had electric heaters round with trailing leads. These were ineffective.

Food was of a good standard and well presented. Waiter attentive, polite and just as we like it. No rush, or pressure and could not falter any of our 3 courses. Breakfast was buffet style which was ideal when you enjoy your food and can replenish your plate with the food you like best!! We loved it!!

Ate here as part of a Travelzoo deal. We normally tend to avoid hotel restaurants when we stay in a hotel, but we really enjoyed the food here. Everything we ate from the 3 course menu was excellent, tasty and well prepared, with some really nice touches to make the food just a little bit different. This was a alcohol free day for us but we thought the price of wine was a little expensive, but then it is a conference hotel.

The food was good, wholesome and tasty. The staff were brilliant and very helpful, the setting was relaxed. Our first time but it will not be our last.

Stayed 2 nights and ate here and in Claret Jug at Golf Club. This was the best meal. All four guests enjoyed their meals, including 2 steaks cooked to perfection. Not inexpensive, but good service and nice atmosphere.

Enjoyed a quick visit for dinner with a friend.Service was excellent and staff very friendly.I enjoyed my main meal and dessert , presentation of food was apealing to the eye which is always good.Will return again when in the area..Well done to all staff.

Restaurant struggled with normal diners whilst they had a private party in at the same time, 45 minute wait for starters, just not good enough

Good three course meal with plenty of choice. Included in the price of our hotel deal but would cost £25.00, which would still be good value. Standard of food was first class.

Had breakfast and dinner twice whilst on a 2 night golf break with hubby. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, great choices, eggs cooked to order (for example omelette's of any description), and served with a smile and very polite staff. Indeed the breakfast definately set us up for our rounds of golf. Dinner of an evening, reasonable choices (very good choices for hubby and I as already included in break price), all cooked fresh and can be seen being prepared by chefs at open cooking station. I had an exceptionally tasty lamb shank on the first evening, though evening 2 was amazing for me, I had a roast duck breast, with pak choi and noodles with a sesame and sweet chilli dressing, this was the best noodle dish I have tasted outside of Thialand and Asia. Absolute respect to the chef's for their preparation and cooking of this dish.Staff were polite, professional and attentive without being over the top. Sharon, was our waitress on our last evening and she was fab and took care of us with professionalism and very good humour, which suited us very well.

Choice was not extensive but the food is served quickly, piping hot & is well prepared.

Excellent breakfast, but no bananas. Coffee lukewarm and stewed as always in hotels.Dinner was good but please do not greet your customers (average age 60) with Hi Guys.

Ate here when staying at the hotel for a golf break. Food was excellent.

Beautifully cooked food, I had chicken terrine as my starter, salmon with a cream and white wine sauce for my main and champagne and strawberry torte for dessert. The food was swiftly served and was cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the temperature was quite cold, i feel this is because it is quite a large restaurant and opens out onto the large hotel lobby which was very chilly too.
