I ordered a lamb shish however, a lam donner was delivered. I do not like donner meat so this was binned.

Go here if you want raw chicken and don’t get money back it’s disgusting

Updated review: I revisited Station Kebab the previous night and think I’ll make it my last. Woke up with a horrendous stomach ache which inclined me to check the hygiene rating for the business. It’s a 3/5 but the inspection was last done in May 2024, personally I think it’s lower. I see lots of complaints of rudeness from staff but I didn’t experience this they seemed okay to me. Just sort your food management out! If anything it still tastes good. Former four star review: Tasty quick food especially on those late nights.

Since I discovered this place I’m not ordering from anybody else , love the fact the staff read the notes and deliver the perfect food for me, the delivery man is so sweet and friendly, one of best place in Brighton x

Went in during the day. Mature gentleman, sitting on a table what looked like was eating his lunch. Asked him for a good old takeaway menu. He looked at me and replied "no", like he was disgusted at the very suggestion. 🤷‍♂️

Was there Saturday 20/7/24. Got served by a rude old man. Doner kebab was cold, I ate it in the shop. When I complained I got told that "all you English people do is complain". First and last time I go there. Hygiene is atrocious. I had to clean the table myself before eating. This place should not be selling food.

Food was dry and order was wrong no sauce on the kebab and order just meat and salad and it turned up in pitta and chips where cold very poor tbh and it wasn’t late either

Just had kebab from there and it was really good! The salad were fresh, meat really good. Such a shame they have a bad reviews mostly because of cheesy chips (btw I never had a good chips in kebab shop and just dont order them there)

Don't know what everyone is complaining about, I've been ordering here for years (admittedly not for delivery and not at pub-chucking-out time) and it's always been good. The food is just as good as at Marmaris and you get served straight away instead of having to wait for them to do a dozen deliveroo orders first. Particularly recommend the kofte kebab wrap.

ordered burger emphasising didn't want cheese on it as can't eat it due to intolerance but when got home it had cheese. before I left I asked if could get mayo on chips but server said no he's already done it for me. Got home and no sauce so dry, guess didn't want to open box in front of me because realised I asked no cheese?

I've ordered from this place a few times and honestly it wasn't too bad. However, this evening I was overcharged by nearly £10, when I challenged the price, the young lad didn't have the ability to do basic math and couldn't even use a calculator. When the older person came to see what was going on, he corrected the price, but did it arrogantly and their was no politeness or apology.

Surprised this place is stil going because it's been terrible for years. Firstly the old angry fella with grey hair is a rude, and nasty piece of work. Witnessed him be rude to us, other customers and the young apprentice who he constantly bullied. If you ask him a simple request he tries giving you the stare or tuts and gets worked up. If you're a vegetarian i would definitely not recommend going here, as he puts the wrap on the same grill the meats been on to warm it up. The hygiene in this place is atrocious, he dripped chilli sauce from across the counter all over the floor, instead of just taking the wrap over to it. I will never use this horrible place ever again. Overpriced, run down and rude ignorant staff. No common sense or IQ levels between any of them especially the miserable old grey haired man. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVISE AND NEVER VISIT HERE. It will save you money, rudeness and the risk of food poisoning!

Worst kebab I have ever had chewy Shish kofte never seen one so flat hardly and donor and the sauce poured over the kebab making it a big pile of mush plz peeps Maramis is a million times better do t waste your money on this awful food! Manager can’t cook! Shame on you

Have used about 5 times now first order great then next 2 were wrong wanted a wrap got pitta now have placed order online got confirmation then cancelled went to rebook on line booking closed not impressed is it because I wanted to pay cash?

Sad to say ,as a rare treat we ordered Station Road Kebab Portslade as enjoyed so much previous on collected order& first. Tonight , delivery order ,a first, just delivered ,quickly too, chicken dried,overcook or not fresh and kofte dried as bone ,overcook or precooked ,Terrible ,could not eat,could not enjoy treat. £21 lost ,a lot of money. Now,need to cook .do not answer phone, no way contact unless go there . I am sad they serve this ,think we deserve this ,not acceptable ,I'm upset a lot.should be tender & juicy & hot. Not.

For the first kebab of my life I will say I enjoyed it I didn't finish it all due to some of the meat seeming a bit sharp and hard. However it was presented well tasted good and had salad. Was very impressed considering I didn't know I liked kebabs before I tried this.

Had a large doner tonight from here and was very happily suprised how good it was , meat was tasty , lots of fresh salad and nice pitta , to be honest couldnt fault it , cheers

Look, it's a Kebab shop, it's not haute cuisine. BUT, you don't go to Kebab shops for fine dining, do you? These gents work really hard and serve the local community well. Sometimes a Kebab is just the thing.

i order a meal 5 medium lamb doner kebab with salad and chip and drink, and the kebab was very cold. i live only 5 minutes away from the shop, its not the first time this has happen. i hope this wont happen again. i dont like putting bad reviews on here, but i got to as no one is listening.

Donner meat was like cardboard, pitta bread soggy, larger pieces of chicken not cooked properly, unfriendly, unclean staff-coughed over the top of another customers food....would give this place a wide birth

Very good. Ordered a large kofte plate, 2 skewers. Came with chips, salad, pitta bread and garlic and chilli sauce. Very well presented, very tasty, enjoyed it a lot and not bad value by today's standards.

I ordered online they cancelled the order I then ordered again they again cancelled I was worried about putting card details to pay by card so selected cash payment and they refused the order even though the site sends a code to you will not go to them in the future ever

We just ordered our take away, very upset with our order. Also I have tried to ring them 8 times on my phone and 7 times on my partners phone and they still are not answering. My food came with no sauce and was not the right order. The meat tasted like horse meat. Very disappointed with everything

This is the second time in 3 months I have ordered from this place. Friday is our lazy night. so we order takeaway... new to the area we are still learning all places to order food.... Same thing has happened both times... No longer needing to give the benefit of the doubt! I ordered a medium doner kebab with salad. Loads of salad.. Mininal amount of Lamb. I also ordered a medium chicken donor with no salad for my children. there was roughly 3 small slices. I had to share mine between my two children as the portion was ridiculous and not even enough for one person. Yes we got £2 credit for a couple of orders... I would rather the decent amount of meat paid for. Will neve use again.

I have tried this shop for several time and tried different meals. The shop is highly recommended. The food is tasty and full of flavour. The shop is clean and staff are very friendly.

Ordered tonight, food arrived with no salad even though order quite clearly given. When phoning to ask if order could be rectified was told “ you have free drink next time” and put the phone down. Phoned back to explain I wanted what I had ordered and got told they were too busy to sort it out! They were rude and completely unhelpful, won’t be ordering from them again and will ensure my entire friend base doesn’t either!

Absolutely spot on 👌 Had food here a few times and tried lots on the menu always comes hot, cooked perfectly and always on time in fact mostly early. Its our family fav, highly recommend, best kebab in the area!

Was waiting over an hour and a half for food that never arrived so called the shop only to be told the food was still in the shop and it was the drivers mistake but then was told tgey would deliver the cold food or I would have to go without with no refund. I have been using Golden Grill for 20 years. What has happened? !!!!! Last night I paid £13 for the worst kebabs I've ever had . What a disgrace that you can sell at any price . You should be ashamed to say that uneatable mess represented your business. Please e-mail me back with an explanation before I tell everybody in Portslade.

Ate with my family and will never eat there again. The food tasted so dry and was hard to chew. We ordered kebab kofta with pita bread. The guy at the grill doesn't know what food is and how to cook.

Golden Grill staff love the people of portslade and provide them with delicous and nutritious meals for all the family. You can get all of your five a day in one kebab and you think that is low quality... do one!

Regularly have chicken kebabs delivered from the Golden Grill, no problems, lots of chicken and salad with or without dressings dependent on what you ask for.

After waiting over an hour I was expecting high quality, oh I was wrong. To start, Didn't recive my bottle of coke but I though oh well, I'm sure the kebab will be great! Opened the chips and they were cold, the kebab wasn't as I expected, the bread was cold, meat was Cold, and couldn't even wash the bad taste away with my coke, they forgot it. Please don't ever go here !

Awful, I would rate a no star if possible.food took nearly 2 hours to get to us, very rude on the phone. Food Is crap And tastes like it's been done in the microwave. Avoid like the plague people.

Spent £50 or more on a hangover cure for me and four of my friends, with two of the biggest kebabs i specifically asked for rice, which they didn't hear on the phone. The meal was dead, for a £14 pound tray of kebab this doesn't even come with a side. Never again ordering from here. Rude staff.

Just the most awful food I've ever eaten, even tho I was starving and drunk. The first order was raw, uncooked and when we complained and argued until they sent another, they then tried to charge us again when it had arrived despite an agreement in place, the second one wasn't much better. This place will never recieve my money again, also worth noting the terrible hygiene rating of this place, rated one of the lowest in the county.

Vile! We ordered 2 kebabs last night and they were both literally drowning in mayo. more mayo than meat and that is not an exaggeration. If they're pissed off with their customers then they should shut down but i can't think of any reason where what we had delivered last-night would ever be acceptable. We will never be ordering from here again.
