Arrived late but still hot and tasty...

The tube wasn’t sealed right as all the source tipped out of it in the bag but apart from that, it was lovely

delivery was fine, food wasn't great. chicken balls overcooked and batter dry. smoked shredded chicken was chewy. no issues with rice, chips or sauce

The curry was both creamy and fiery and the side of mushrooms & gravy we tried were out of this world. Delicious. 10/10.

Ordered smoked shredded chicken. Hardly any chicken in the tub and what was there was tough and chewy. Chips had been reheated in a microwave going by the texture of them. Didn’t eat it. Awful

Only 1/3 people enjoyed their meal this evening. The sauces of the food were bland and flavourless and the spring rolls were very greasy which made them unenjoyable

4 different meals ordered and I will say they where amazing 👏 bbq ribs so soft and fell of the bone. Will order again when back down this way

Ordered at 8pm on a Sunday night, time was push back twice. Called 4 times with no answer in the phone and at 10.20pm we gave up and had a sandwich and went to bed. Actually ridiculous. If you weren’t going to deliver a service don’t accept the other!

Very late had to wait 1:20 and still not got the food

The food was late because off the Chinese New year as they were VERY BUSY....the ribs were AMAZING....unfortunately the food was cold.... but it is a nice take away and the lady on the fone was 100%...Great at customer service.... thank u ....

I ordered at 1815 and delivery was 1935-1955. I then got an update of 1955-2015. At 2015 I called the takeaway who said they were very busy as it was Chinese new year, they only had 2 staff in and one delivery drivery. On asking how long it would be, maybe 15-20 minutes? I was told no slot longer than that. I got a further update of 2045 for delivery. I went on the app to ask for a refund and all I got was a £3 credit towards my next order! I waited till 2100 and called the takeaway again who said it was with the driver. I eventually got my food at 2107. Absolutely shocking. They should not have taken the order in the first place!!

Two and a half hours late, and the food inedible, tried to blame Chinese New Year, but they know their custom well so if they can't keep up with demand then they shouldn't have opened and let so many loyal customers down

I ordered Thai prawn curry and received sweet and sour instead which I don’t like. I also ordered chicken noodle soup which was literally like drinking hot water, no flavour whatsoever. Really disappointed, won’t be back.

Wings missing and only a few chips on the bottom of bag rather than the paid for portion

Rice was hard as if it had been reheated. Beef in the beef curry was a horrible texture as if it had been over cooked/reheated. Both curry sauce and satay sauce really runny. So disappointed in this order.

Food is great but I’m not gonna be ordering from here again 2 hours for food to arrive (1hour longer than the first time given), gave it another chance and I get a notification at the time it says food should be delivered saying late again so let’s see how long it is this time

Over an hour late and arrived cold

Food has been sitting for a significant amount of time and was 1hr 40 minutes late for an already 40 minute estimated delivery

Ordered Honey and Chilli chicken,partner ordered salt and pepper chicken. We both received the same dish which was chicken with no sauce and vegetables, the dishes tasted exactly the same and were very bland and had no seasoning. The sweet and sour sauce was also bland and watery. The plain chips and the prawn crackers were ok though.

Food cold. Gravy was congealed chips cold. This takeaway used to be very good went downhill over the years

Rice and chips were solid, sauce was congealed, full order freezing cold and the can of juice was warm, chilli oil from the ribs had leaked all over the bag as well, order was also late

Have ordered thai chow mein loads of times & always been great until today. Was loaded with red hot chilli peppers which are not even in it or even mentioned on the menu and also was made with sweet and sour sauce .. I wont be ordering anything again as it has burnt the mouth of me..straight into the bin..

Salt and chilli chips didn’t have any flavouring and was tepid. The Cantonese duck had more veggies than anything else. Good point it came early

The food was cold the rice was dry and hard hadn’t been cooked long enough, the prawn crackers were tasteless, the smoked shredded chicken was tough. Really was one of the worst I’ve had in a while. And the portion sizes for the prize is terrible, I don’t think we will be ordering from here again.

Food was abysmal. Really unfortunate as I used to be a fan, despite the bad reviews. Beef was inedible. The spring rolls were totally greasy- absolutely disgusting. Never again.

I really feel bad about leaving a poor review, as when Starry Sky get it right they're probably the best Chinese takeaway in the area, and so much better value as the rice/chips are included in the price. Unfortunately I've just had one too many bad meals from here, the quality and the service have really gone downhill. Tonight, crispy shredded chicken wasn't crispy but was so overcooked that the chicken was chewy and tasteless. Beef in black pepper sauce was more like onions and green peppers in a vaguely pepper flavoured soup. There was hardly any beef, and the sauce was so thin it sloshed around the bowl walking from the kitchen. I think it was meant to be thicker as I kept coming across lumps of cornflour. The chips were fine though. Delivery is also completely inconsistent. I don't think I've ever had the food delivered at the estimated time. Sometimes it appears within 20 minutes of ordering, sometimes it's really late. This evening it was 30mins late. I'm sure the restaurant will respond to this review with "sorry for the inconvenience" as they do to every other review - just a suggestion, but why not make things better rather than having to constantly apologise?

Unfortunately,this is the first meal I have had from here that wasn't nice. Somehow it wasn't the same high quality that I am used to. Disappointing. Further, it was delivered to a neighbour. I'm surprised.

Was a birthday present for my mum and dad ordered fir 4.40, when it was accepted it said 5.20, then got another message saying it was delayed, not the first time this has happened won't be ordering from them again

Perfect as always, super quick delivery. The best curry sauce about. They forgot our rice but called the shop, girl on the phone was lovely and sent some straight away. No complaints, will always go here.

Lovely meal tonight, never disappointed here. Chicken curry was delicious and packed full of chicken. Portions are huge plus the price is fantastic. 10 outta 10.

Super fast delivery, great food and the best curry sauce

Chicken wings were tiny with hardly any meat on them and paid £5 for 5 chicken wings with no meat on them. Same for the ribs, no meat on the ribs. For the price i’d expect better quality items. Food was late but driver was lovely and explained the reason why it was late which was valid. Overall quality and taste of food items was ridiculous for the price. Wont be ordering again.

Almost 2 hours since I received confirmation of my order, and still no food has been delivered. Can’t say anything about the quality of the food, as I’ve not received it yet. I should have looked at these reviews beforehand; it appears that this restaurant has an issue with their deliveries. Don’t offer the service if you can’t provide it.

Ordered food via just eat last night. Half the order was missing and the curry sauce had leaked all over the bag due to containers being on there side and not flat, perhaps from a careless driver or something?? That’s not the issue the problem lies with your delivery driver, he came back with the missing items and the WHOLE order again, which we didn’t ask for btw, but a nice gesture, so thanks for that. However your delivery driver gave my partner a hell of a time, calling him a liar, and raising his voice and swearing in my close at almost midnight, an absolute stinking attitude and horrendous customer service skills and all from a grown man too. We always order from here but see after last night I think we will just save ourselves the hassle and just not bother in future, there are far more better Chinese takeaways around Ayr and prestwick that we can order from and will not receive such disgusting behaviour from someone that obviously has some kind of attitude issue! Picture attached for his information that my partner indeed DID NOT lie and that is how he delivered it containers on there sides and curry sauce all over the items and pooling at the bottom of the bag.
