Starbucks - Trafford Centre in Trafford

If I could have NO STARS I would do it Unacceptable! I came so many times, the toilets are ALWAYS closed. Today I asked just to change the baby, and the “manager” was “explaining” to me that I cannot. She gave a number of reasons but all of them were not true. NEVER again

The tea looked shocking the food was terrible the sugar was ineffective only had semi skimmed milk no other options everything was dirty and wouldn’t give me a knife or fork it was the worst experiences ever just look at these images

“Starbucks is at the top of the list of successful coffee companies” I honestly do not know how! Ordered a Caramel Frapp and received a milky slush and it’s not the first time but definitely will be my last. For the price you pay there’s definitely no thought gone into the making process. If it’s not the cold drinks, the ‘hot’ drinks are disappointing too. Certainly do not recommend Trafford Park and others for that matter because they just seem to employ anyone and not give the correct training. Either that or they can’t be bothered on shift, all the company want is money to pay their shambles of a staff and advertise new drinks that are never in stock. Carry on starbs and you’ll be at the bottom of the list. Thanks for reading :D

We called in here on 27th December at 9.40am. The tables were filthy, many had dirty cups and plates waiting to be cleared. The floor has honestly never seen a mop. It was filthy and looking at the skirting boards, the build up of dirt and grime was obvious. They really can’t have a cleaning person at this cafe. I was appalled and after visiting the ladies, ensured that my hands didn’t touch anything door handles etc. disgusting. This cafe should be closed and a deep cleaning team should be employed.

You have to Queue twice ! Then they should provide more seats for the wait !!! Staff working hard enough Just not enough staff And it takes far too long to make a coffee I just wanted a white tea Guess what ! It was wrong 😱

Not a bad Starbucks, clean and decent staff, busy as it was breakfast and they did have a few queues, but they were getting through orders at a decent enough pace. There were a few tables waiting to be bussed -and a few guests were grumbling about this as well, not that they asked anyone to clean a table or you know sit at a clean one, just wittering to each other about it being dirty- while we waited but they served the guests first and cleaned up after which I thought was reasonable for a coffee shop. Surely the service does first? The staff here aren't overly chatty like in some stores but it's a busy location and they're pleasant and helpful enough, even with us taking a few minutes longer to decide as they were out of a product we ordered.

Greeted by a brisk what do you want, what's your name, waited ages for drinks, had eaten most of the delicious cinnamon roll in the meantime. An elderly gentleman was also wanting before me, one girl called his name and threw the coffee on the counter without even making eye contact with him, rude ignorant and not what old people go in a cafe to do, they want at least someone to say hello and smile. Tables dirty, one mum sat at a table full of food, eventually a blonde man cleaned it by spraying cleaner all over her baby. When I was leaving a brown haired male went to clean our table and smiled, wonders never cease. Coffee not great, won't return.

Came in to do some work whilst in the area as I’m not local. The staff were very helpful and although it’s a busy location, I was able to get my drink and food quickly. Liv was especially kind and helpful as she recommend a fantastic drink as I’m not a Starbucks regular. She also advised me on where the plugs were for my laptop. A very smiley individual and a credit to your team. Will be coming back next time I’m in the area - hopefully Liv will be serving me then too!!

Had to wait awhile ordered 2 espressos to drink in and despite this being a coffee shop they dont have espresso cups ! Do not like drinking out of paper ...also coffee was awful ... I have a all singing and dancing coffee machine at home which grinds coffee beans for each cup.. but of course I buy the best beans ....

Every table bar one was cluttered with food and drinks. Behind the counter again dirty anr disorganised. 4 staff on duty, wow

Pure incompetence from what I saw, not a massive line of people waiting but still took a good while to even take the order. They live to chat with one another regarding personal stuff, maybe that takes precedence over customers.. who knows.

Poor staff let this place down. Waited at the counter for the two girls with dark hair having a gossip before finally acknowledging they have a customer. Then didn’t listen to my instructions as the coffee wasn’t what I asked for. Maybe less time chatting while at front serving customers and more attention to detail from the staff. You chat on your breaks!!

Walk in and queued up behind a few others to be told we have to queue the other side, no signage to say where to queue. Was hoping to sit in as I ordered food, was told they’re not doing sit ins even thought there were several different groups sat inside. The person who served me was great, very polite. Hand sanitiser had ran out but that seems to be same with post places.

I had a coffee whilst waiting for my partner to do some shopping. I noticed that in 40 minutes only one table (empty) was cleaned. The balcony which people lean on whilst drinking and eating was full of dust. This is disgusting during this pandemic

Manchester is one of the north’s Covid hotspots, so why aren’t #stabucks clean tables? Not one has been disinfected in the time I have been here OMG! Great coffee tho 😜

Oh dear. A COVID nightmare here. No one at the door to make sure people had masks on and were using sanitiser. After ordering we were all squeezed into a narrow channel to wait for our order. Tables had debris on them and I did not see anyone cleaning or sanitising tables as they were vacated. This meant that different groups were touching and moving on possibly infected tables. Won’t go back here until the crises is over.

I am a regular visitor to Starbucks and this one is just ok. It’s always very busy which usually means nowhere to sit down and whilst the team do their best the customers do not always clean away their rubbish which makes it look a little untidy.

Went to Starbucks for coffee at about 2pm on 29 November. Ordered a latte and hot chocolate. Both drinks were luke warm and the hot chocolate was tasteless - I have made better myself at home. The staff were not quick at getting the drinks out and a couple walked off without picking up their order saying not able to wait any longer.

Love it. Easy to order, always clean or being cleaned. Staff are knowledgable about the offerings, take preferences into account. Does get extremely busy and the queue is very long at times but as long as you avoid that or have plenty of time it’s never let me down.

Went in for coffee and a bite, many tables uncleared, customers removing cups ect onto a single table. When staff came to clear they didn't even wipe down, leaving crumbs and liquid on tables. Coffee fine and food ok but poor presentation.

This is the Starbucks upstairs at Trafford! Ok so walking up to counter with staff with finger up her nose ! Not great start .... no queue ... at till ... only 20 people waiting for their drinks! Staff talking about their breaks ... tables dirty and uncleared .... horrid experience

Enjoyed the coffee, but staff are fab and hardworking.we enjoyed just sitting and watching the world go by,but it’s the staff and a decent coffee which draw you in

We visit quite frequently for the odd coffee or hot chocolate, but the main reason for this review is our server Paula is amazing. Shes always so jolly and just manages to make our day better! Nothing is ever too much and shes just got the best customer service skills. Shes lovely & deserves more credit. :)

Ordered TWO drinks. Served 10 minutes apart... what a joke ...get more staff or better machines please.

Arrived didn’t know where to q. Even though there where ten people behind the counter no body took my order for a few minutes. Then she just looked at me and waited. We asked for water with the coffee, it was Warm water with no ice. Had to ask! The large hot chocolate was lukewarm and we are used to a crescent shaped swirl on the surface.Again disappointing! The almond star and caramel shortbread where put on top of each other without a plate each or the other of a tray. Hello nut allergy! Five tables had used cups on them and generally unclean. We had to clear the table to sit down. Five minutes later a lad came to clear the table and took my plate with my half eaten pastry. During all this time what seemed to be the pregnant manager was chatting behind the counter. Think I’ll go to Costa next time!!!!!

What you expect from Starbucks everything always takes a long time . This place definitely seems to be on the up looks much better since the recent facelift . The staff seem much happier too served tonight by a lovely young man very chatty and happy very helpful

Given up calling here for coffee now as the tables are always full of cups trays etc. It’s such a shame as I think the coffee is nicer than costa.

This is a large Starbucks cafe. The service was good and quick. The coffee was great. There is plenty of seating, free WiFi, which was very fast.

A pretty poor effort here this day,slow service and didn't reckon much of the snack we had. Thought it quite unkempt. Staff looked harrased but doing their best. Long wait with the long queue. Tables seemed to be uncleared and dirty.

Wow !!!! We'd done good bit of shopping and wandering.....so decided to do a Starbucks.....it has to be said it's quite sometime since we've visited, Costa has become our norm. Not sure, therefore, how long the interiors been changed. The ordering counter now (as you face the counter) behind you a row of seats and "desk type long table. So in effect half the gap to the main area and the counter is halved ?????

The only thing that gives this place a 2 rather than a 1 is that the coffee was good. On arrival the place was about half full. However, of the empty tables only two were free as the rest were piled up with dirty cups and plates. The queueinig system seems completely random where you place an order and hope someone eventually makes it up at the other end of the counter (this bore no relation to the order in which orders were places). Whilst we were there, a number of people came in, looked around, and walked out when they could not find a clean table. We had been there over 20 minutes before someone deigned to start clearing a few tables and, for the cursory wipe he game them, he may as well not have bothered with it.

We had a couple of latte's and a hot chocolate - the lady that served me was lovely, and when I said the hot chocolate was for my 9 year old, she asked me if I wanted it child's size and child's temperature which was lovely. Ordered two of the burnt caramel brownies, and a smore's muffin. Wow - that brownie might be the best thing I have ever eaten - small but fabulous if you like sweet and chocolately. The smores muffin was lovely (from the 9 year old), but nothing can compare to the brownie! Latte's good, hot chocolate good.

Never really been to a Starbucks before so thought we'd give it a try whilst at the Trafford centre. We decided to go for the hot chocolate as the other options didn't seem to appeal.

My husband is a huge Starbucks fan but he was very disappointed by the shocking service in this Starbucks

We have visited this place about 6 times during our visit at the Trafford Center in a month's time. We love the dining experience it provides and the coffee is excellent!

We were looking for somewhere to sit whilst shopping due to a bad back and all the benches were taken dotted around so decided we would buy a coffee and sit in Starbucks on the lower mall here at the Trafford Centre

This is a standard Starbucks cafe, what’s not to like. Lovely coffee, nice fresh muffins and pleasant staff. I do think it’s fairly expensive, 2 small coffees and 2 muffins for £8.95 but no one forces you to come in. All in all a much needed coffee break.

Can't believe how bad this coffee actually is. Starbucks please take note. The service was poor and the coffee was badly made.

The staff made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them as they had to serve me. They were rude and the manager proceeded to berate me when I raised an issue with their customer service. I will not be going there again.

If you light a dark unwelcoming run of the mill coffee shop then this is the place for you. The decor is a variation on the colour brown. Service was slow, tables were dirty with used cups which we had to move ourselves to another table so we could sit down. All the time we were there the tables were not wiped down and used cups etc moved. Coffee was standard Starbucks.

We got a nice quiet spot on a Sunday as the Trafford Centre was winding down. The Starbucks was not busy, service was friendly enough and we have some lattes and cappuccinos which were up to the Starbucks standards.

We went to buy a Freddo Cappuccino at 20:15 and the staff refused to make it because they have already cleaned the mixer due to closing duties.

Unclean tables, litter everywhere. Very untidy counter. The coffee was appalling - the worst sludge - supposed to be Americano. Living off past reputation? Poor value and poor customer care.

Coffee and a panini at lunchtime, the place was not overly busy but there were a lot of tables with cups and plates on that hadn’t been cleared away, didn’t look good particularly as there were spare staff behind the counters doing nothing

What Starbucks serves is not coffee...and that's why service is so slow. People have so many different additions that it takes the baristas ages to make a coffee. If they stuck to making the standard set of coffee options then you might get your drink in under 20mins.

Really busy with a big line. At the till the card system broke down leading to chaos for those who didn't have cash

I've been to Starbucks for coffees I'd sooner go there for my coffees they taste better and the staff are nice when you get served

It's located along Peel Avenue, ground floor under a stair well and it's a good location to stop mid shopping for a flat white, which means we did not have to walk to the Orient. Great coffee, but there was a queue waiting for service. Eventually coffees were prepared after a wait of nearly 10 minutes.... it's very popular but so is the coffee!

my must go in the trafford centre friendly service good product but can be a little busy so you have to queue for a while but worth the wait ruby is a legend

As well as coffee Starbucks has great cold drinks. Why not try the Peach green tea lemonade ? Also new is the pulled beef and pulled chicken boxes with rice and beans which are very tasty. Why not give them a try??

We visited on Easter Monday and it was extremely busy. We had quite a wait for our drinks and they didn't seem up to usual standard. I understand that this is because they were busy but they really need to cater for busy times with more staff. Lots of people were complaining about the wait times :(

We were there a little early for a Sunday, arrived at 11:00 but shops didn't open till 12:00!! So, took some time out for coffee and tea, very plesant surroundings where you can sit and people watch.

I'm a fan of Starbucks brand and products, the brand is across all locations so making a review tends be more on the service and the actual coffee shop.

The staff were nice, the coffee was good, the muffin was delicious but the music was just a tad too loud to be a relaxing environment.

Always loved starbucks, not like it anywhere in the world. Most of the time staff are ok but a majority they dont smile but for me its not just the service at starbucks its about the coffee

I always go on a Monday to have a morning coffee with my mum. I am part of their reward scheme and I love it.

Today during my lunch break I decided to get a cup of coffee in Starbucks. Following the barista's (Michael- very helpful and well mannered Polish guy) suggestion I got myself Chai Latte with soy milk and it was delicious!

Up to usual Starbucks standard but service was a little slow with the usual annoyance of being asked a name to put on the coffee cup.

Like the new Christmas choices and are good fun variety of drinks although expensive helpings are small in spite of being called Tall
