Starbucks Drive Thru - Cardiff Bay in Cardiff

I love coming here on the days I'm required to commute to work. Coffee is strong which is to my taste and I love the sausages baps but not always available, maybe its covid. Nice and quiet at 7am. The only thing that needs improving is the parking, the spaces are really tight.

Popped in to get a coffee and heard the staff talking loudly about my son who was waiting outside for me, accusing him of buying mcdonalds food and trying to use the starbucks garden furniture, which was not the case. He was being mindful of covid rules and was waiting outside for me rather than in the shop.Really its good customer service not to gossip and be catty about people, you never know who's listening!Shame on the sturbuck staff who did this today, will take my business else where.I definitely like my coffee with out prejudice !!!

Dan was so lovely. Super patient with me & my fussy order! I ordered a Vegan Decaf Mocha (The worst kind of coffee order). He recommended the White Choc Mocha & even gave me some vegan whipped cream! Was absolutely LUSH. I apologized as I collected the coffee for my fussy order & he excused me & said it was completely fine & said he'd enjoyed just having a conversation! Legend. My next Starbucks will be from Sports Village for his kind service! Thank you!

Came through the drive thru today with my sister after we both had the worst day. Both in flood of tears just wanted a pick me up. I only had cash (they only take card) and the lovely young lady at the window paid for the drinks for us because she saw we were upset! I didn't catch her name but she had long dark hair and flicky eyeliner. Honestly made our day entirely, during all the madness there is still some kindness in the world.

We called today, and were shocked to find how dirty the floors were, plus tables were not cleared or wiped. Dirty, Dirty/Dirty.Empty sugar packets littered the floors, and it appeared staff were just too busy chatting amongst themselves to clean up. Food/coffee were nice though.We will not return.

I came in on a freezing cold November evening and was greeted by a lovely young lady called Deb! She asked how my day was and how I was and it genuinely made my day and the best part was you could still se she was smiling at me even though she was wearing a mask! One of the best Starbucks’s experience’s I’ve had! Keep it up guys! Thank you Deb! :)

Barista rolled her eyes at me when I asked for syrup in my coffee just because they didn’t hear me on the speaker on the drive through. No need for it.

Tengo que decir que este lugar ha alcanzado un mínimo histórico.Starbucks ha sido reconocido durante mucho tiempo por su excelente servicio, pero en la visita de hoy me recibió una señora mayor de cabello oscuro que ni siquiera me dijo una palabra.Ni un hola, ni un adiós ni un contacto visual.Obviamente ella ha estado recibiendo entrenamiento de las dos señoras mayores (pandilla loca) que las llamo.Por lo general, dejo ir la mala educación, ya que creo que probablemente estén en el día de salida de un instituto o similar.El rubio (pelo blanco) mayor es particularmente desagradable.Cuando la veo en la ventana cuando me detengo, en algún momento desearía que fuera alguien más.Incluso preferiría ser servido por Adolf Hitler que por ella.De todos modos, solo quiero que el gerente o quien esté formando este equipo, debe verificar seriamente sus habilidades de contratación.Es una broma.

Always have a good coffee at this Starbucks.. never to hot so they don’t burn the milk but the waiting times can sometimes be terrible. When your trying to grab a quick coffee on the go it can be a bit of a pain!

Estaba trabajando en el área el viernes pasado, así que apareció para tomar un café rápido en el camino. El personal fue eficiente y amable, la bolsa gratuita de café molido para el jardín fue fantástica, los alrededores son agradables y se podía ver que el personal se apresuraba a atender a los clientes lo más rápido posible, especialmente la cola masiva. Me senté con mi capuchino, me sorprendió lo mal que estaba. Me encanta el café, pero esta era una taza de nada aguada y lechosa, casi no se podía saborear el café. Tomé unos sorbos y me fui. La hora del almuerzo estaba en The Bay y fui a Greggs, su café 1: 90 era mucho mejor, decepcionante. . .

Sin importar el clima, el aire acondicionado nunca deja de soplar el aire frío y helado, tuve la tentación de empujar las sillas hacia el centro de la tienda para encender un fuego que calentara a todos dentro.Si eres un esquimal y te estás perdiendo la casa, ¡este es el lugar para venir! ! No importa lo que pidas, será una versión congelada lo suficientemente pronto xoxo

Estalló para tomar un café. Francamente, pensé que había entrado en un centro de llamadas. Prácticamente todas las mesas estaban siendo acosadas por individuos inconsiderados con computadoras portátiles y tecnología. 1 pesón se sentó, atrincherado en una mesa que se sienta 4. El personal que maneja la tienda parecía no estar interesado en esto, así como en el ordenamiento de las cosas. Cuando conseguí una mesa estaba sucia. Ya es hora de que las cafeterías paren este comportamiento. Si quieres trabajar, ve a trabajar.

Dejaré de lado la parte de tener que pedir mi bebida 3 veces antes de que el muchacho en la unidad se haya acercado lo suficiente a lo que yo quería. . .El camino de la unidad se encuentra en un estado terrible: si maneja un automóvil de conducción remotamente baja, evite este lugar, deje el automóvil en el fondo de los baches y las abolladuras.Puede ver los restos infructuosos de varios intentos de arreglar el problema, todos se caen a pedazos. Vamos, Starbucks, no estás skint, arréglalo.Aquellos de nosotros que vivimos localmente sabremos - este problema fue predicho cuando se abrieron. El lugar está construido sobre una base inestable, lo que ha provocado el colapso del disco.

Conducir a través de la visita. Tenía uno de sus bocadillos y un té helado. Tomó un bocado del sandwich en el auto. Sandwich probado de arena. Tomé otro bocado y no pude continuar. Regresó y entró al local para quejarse. ¡Tu muchacho dijo que tiene pimientos, lo que explicaría mi queja! ! ! ! El muchacho me permitió cambiar mi sándwich. Me dejó como si estuviera equivocado por quejarse.Si el sándwich se hace en casa o en otro lugar, deben lavar la verdura.Solo puedo suponer una falta de entrenamiento durante la preparación y una falta de capacitación cuando se trata de quejas.

Can get quite busy, particularly for drive thru coffee. To say the drive thru roadway is uneven is rather generous. Otherwise everything you would expect from Starbucks.

all the staff are amazing especially baby Dan. he helped me with my decision and made me an amazing drink. will go there again.

Pensé que íbamos a darle otra oportunidad. . nunca volverá. El piso estaba sucio, pelos, comida, polvo. Área de autoservicio para leche, etc. también repugnante, mesas no limpiadas. La mayoría de las mesas ocupadas por los estudiantes con laptops parecían haber tomado una taza de café y luego se habían quedado allí durante horas, así que no, dónde sentarse. Este lugar tiene importantes problemas de higiene, me da miedo pensar cómo es detrás de las escenas si las áreas públicas están tan sucias.

If the door had been shut and all the staff were round the back smoking fags, I would have felt more welcome than I did tonight... I was served by a Young kid with no social skills, who didn't even say hello and just addressed me by saying "what ja wont" but with an attitude of such pointed disinterest that not even Voldemort would have bothered with him. Moreover, things got even worse when, to my greater astonishment, I discovered that the pile of dripping, sticky nastiness in the middle of the room was actually the self-service area for coffee accessories. DISGUSTING!

Called in on way to a famous furniture shop and enjoyed great coffee relaxing with a book. Observed great customer care when coffee was spilt, quickly cleaned up and new coffee delivered to customer.

Ordered food and drinks inside the shop. Not particularly busy but they still managed to get the order wrong. So much so had to wait 10mins for the food to be prepared while the coffee got cold.

The drive through is so slow (20mins) I think I did a tank of petrol waiting. It’s a real shame as I opted for the drive through as on previous visits to the inside there was never any clean tables available. When I did receive my coffee it was ok though but kinda made me feel I would you not want to stop on the way to work again as I may be late next time.

I find it fascinating about this particular Starbucks. The tables are always dirty and never cleared. Also, so many staff behind counter chatting about their personal lives. Please do the job you are paid to do.....Don't forget the customer pay good money to eat and drink in your store and deserve good quality experience.

Take a seat back and watch the local talent while warming up with a iced frap! Always get the squits off them but well worth it. After a few hours it'll feel like you've boxed 12 rounds with Audley Harrison - Absolutely fine.

The coffee is always good here, fast service, polite staff, but the drive-thru ruins the car!!! Get it sorted please!!

All the staff I have ever encountered here are absolutely excellent. Matthew is absolutely brilliant and a lovely barista. The kids here work hard so deserve an excellent review.

Staff are too rushed making drinks they don't care what their serving up. Id rather wait longer and have my drink made properly than have it rushed and not made right. Chill out and slow down. Take you're time and make good quality coffee

Whether I'm flying through the drive through before work, meeting the girls for a catch up or visiting with the boyfriend and dog (lovely outside seating area) , this Starbucks is my absolute FAVE. The location is perfect (especially when you live a stones throw away) and the staff are always friendly and efficient. I could not ask for a better local shop.

What can you say... a Starbucks is a Starbucks, the coffee quality is always fantastic and the staff in this location are always fast. The added bonus of a drive thru makes us visit here more than we should.

Been sat here now for 30min. Lot of staff behind counter but my table has 4 dirty cups on and in general premises are dirty right through

Won't visit here ever again if possible. Drinks not right time after time. My wife burnt her mouth after asking for coffee at child's temp. Staff didn't care. Bad attitude when asked to make drinks again.

I have had a bad few cups of coffee from this branch. I used the drive through. Ordered my americano and asked them not to fill it too much. Yep filled to the brim and tasted weak. I ditched it and drove elsewhere. Trouble is they do not listen to you.

This is definitely my favourite Starbucks in Cardiff. The staff are always friendly, The coffee is great and their toasted fruit loafs are so tasty and full of fruit! Better than other big coffee shops for sure! Also handy that's it's 24hours and a drive through...what more could you want?

I visit this Starbucks at least once a week. The fact that this Starbucks is 24hr is fab, I can get my coffee whenever I like. The staff are always lively and friendly and you are served quickly. The shop itself is large with lots of seating and seating outside when the sun is out. The Christmas edition drinks are amazing too. It's a good place to relax or get work done with the free wifi and plug sockets for charging laptops etc. Definitely a place I recommend

Called in for a quick coffee, drive through is handy. The coffee was good service very quick, staff happy and polite. Beats parking up first.

Staff were very professional and gave a warm welcome. Drinks ordered were served quickly and were very hot.

Used the drive thru a few times and it's always really quick service. I use it now just to save the time of parking and queuing inside. Most importantly though my order is always right!

Regular visitor to this super Starbucks. Staff are great! Sometimes use the drive through and my order is always spot on. Outside, there's plenty if parking and a comfy seating area with rattan sofas and plenty of cushions. Great place for a coffee stop!

Popped in for a quick coffee as was in the area. Compared to other Starbucks coffee shops in the Cardiff area, it felt much cleaner and much more spacious. The drive through was so busy (about 8 cars waiting), that we felt it was quicker to go in.

Lovely place to catch up with friends and family For a coffee or a hot Chocolate plenty of choice of food too ! Very clean and very attentive staff X

Come here a lot after work as it is near to home. This Starbucks has a 24 hour drive through and the cafe area is often very busy.

i had a banana marshmallow bake. There was no taste of banana and the bake part was drier than the Sahara desert!

Having a drive thru Starbucks is so handy. Service is very quick, staff are friendly and more than happy to adapt to your needs. Also you are made to feel welcome to sit for a while (and do work in my case) without feeling rushed and as though you are taking up a table for too long! Overall a great place

Great place with lovely staff and excellent service . Always go with friends and its always such a nice , calm atmosphere. Always go here in the evning after a long day or for lunch with my mother

I regularly go to Starbucks with my other half on a daily basis. Normally late at night or early morning. But the past couple of times I've visited have been terrible. Clearly they can't make a coffee because this time I've ended up with a cup of hot milk and no coffee inside. Used to be my favourite place to get a late night cup of coffee but my past ten visits have been terrible. Clearly the staff have not been trained well enough to make a simple cappuccino or iced latte.

I visited at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. There are 5 staff on, and only around 20 customers. Of which only two were queuing. So why did I wait 10 minute to be served? Thought it was meant to be quick.

Popped in for a quick coffee and the service was pretty poor. Long queue and almost all the tables were occupied by people using laptops. On a positive note the drinks were very hot.

Absolutely brilliant to have a drive thru. I was going back to the office today after a lunch time of shopping and decided to stop for pick me ups for the office as it was Friday! I ordered my drinks and they were served very quickly, chocolate cream frappuccino, my favourite!

Love that this Starbucks is open 24 hours! ❤️ It's no different to most other Starbucks in terms of product and service, but it's a very chilled vibe in the evening, a bit of light jazz playing in the background!

I am a huge Starbucks fan - I won't use any other chain and love that you can customise your drinks. All other Starbucks don't seem to have an issue with customisation but the drive thru, and even the eat in part of this Starbucks leaves a lot to be desired.

Me and my friends regularly visit on weekday evenings for the drive through so we can stay warm in our pjammas. Tonight we visited as we usually do, the service is always spot on, and tonight it was extra friendly. It makes coming back a pleasure! Well trained happy staff. You should be proud of your staff here. Amazing

To be honest, although I go here quite regularly, it's always at someone else's behest or due to the convenience of it being a 24 hour place and so open when other similar establishments have closed.

I visit this Starbucks about 4/5 times a week and I'm never disappointed. Some times there's a bit of a delay at the drive thru but it's always worth the wait!

Visited Starbucks today with my daughter who has celiacs disease, we were both fancying something sweet to go with out coffee but the only thing available was a gluten free brownie!!! I'm shocked that a big company like Starbucks offer such a poor selection of gluten free products. Plus the only other thing available on there menu was a wrap!! Disgusting!!! when there are so many people who suffer with this condition. Plus to top it off the service was sloppy, the staff couldn't be bothered with politeness or even a smile and as there were a lot of staff and it wasnt really that busy I was surprised to see so many dirty cups on the tables.. Very very poor won't be going there again.

This Starbucks seems to be going down hill. With outstanding regularity they cannot serve food hot, for drive thru customers. Nor can they make consistent tasting drinks. Customer service has hit an all time low and there now seems to be a lot of new faces equaling high staff turnover. The below average service is not in keeping with the spirit of Starbucks. Poor !

In summary: I have had better experiences in the town centre branches.

This is my local coffee shop. It is busy, but extremely well run due to the hard working staff. Would highly recommend!! Open 24 hours too.

Fern made me a chocolate cream frappe but asked whilst making it if id like to have white chocolate added, chocolate whipped cream and chocolate chips. I of course agreed and it is the most amazing frappe creation ever! Thanks Fern!

This is my local star bucks and I go here quite often. However as far as coffee shops go there is not much atmosphere. The outdoor area is nice in the summer

Huge fan of Starbucks, especially the seasonal 'egg nog latte' yum! Great tasty snacks as well. Love the drive through, You can have one anytime, even when you don't have much time!

Usual Starbucks quality but handy to have open all hours and a great place to meet friends. Would definitely recommend!

Which dimwhit manager removed all the bins from a drive through. I call in at least six times a week only to find now NO bins and the staff have been told not to take your empty cups due to health and safety ?????

Don't see many 24 hour Starbucks, great service and good choice, never had a problem there, definitely a visit for a treat on way back home from Cardiff Bay :)

Many a late night Starbucks have come to my rescue to keep me awake when I'm working! All the staff are friendly and helpful. Ive never had any problem with the drinks Ive been served. Always manage to get a seat. Easy to get through the drive through at night. Only thing I will say is that during the day the drive through service can be quite slow.

Always disappointed when I go into this paticular Starbucks. The tables are never cleared and there is always rubbish not being picked up outside this store. Sort yourself out Starbucks Cardiff.

There are some great drinks on offer at starbucks and this drive through is always busy. I visited twice in there same week, once indoors and nice through the drive through.

Fast service every time. Always get excellent customer service and perfect frappe. Even the food and cakes are really yummy.

The drive through is a very slow service that often suffers with lengthy air times, causing chaos in the car park. Also drive through suffers from frequent card payment system failures. It's quicker to park up and go in store to get served, but even then it's often busy. They do seem to struggle on supply and demand.

A great place for a break. Kept clean by a very cheerfull and obliging staff. Sometimes a little delay occurs when the drive thro gets busy

As a frequent visitor I can highly recommend this starbucks, the staff are always polite and really friendly and always take time out for a chat, can't praise the staff highly enough

I have visited many times and staff are always friendly and happy to meet any requirements. Quick and easy way to grab something on the go out of town. Sometimes at peak times there is a cue and 10 minute wait.

I'm a regular at this Starbucks and realised i'd never given them a review.

I was really fancying a warming latte on this cold February morning. In the car I had one poorly but excitable 4 yr old wanting her babycino and a sleeping 1 yr old. Rather than wake up my sleeping daughter I decided to give the Drive-Thru a go.........wow I'm so glad I did!!! My drinks were ordered and delivered to me in less than 3 minutes! My latte was perfect and exactly how I like it. I'm so glad I tried the Drive-Thru and now if I'm in the same predicament I will definitely be going through the Drive-Thru. Fabulous service guys!!!

I have always been a Starbucks girl but a couple of visits elsewhere dented that until I came to the cardiff drive through, there was a slight fluff with the till but the team was all over it straight away and my latte and pannini were pipping hot, my faith has been fully restored, excellent job guys xx

I visited in the winter, so was very cold. They have a quick service, with polited staff and it is a cozy place to have a coffe. And even the drinks of starbucks(that are great!!). Or you can just take away your coffe and walk in Cardiff bay.

Working near by my partner and I pop in often, it's easy to get to and service is usually really quick! However the outside seating area is often a little messy though the sofas are comfortable and plenty of them. The biggest problem is our not so complicated order is frequently wrong and as helpful as they are in rectifying the mistake, the same simple mistakes are made time and time again. However it must be said one of their staff Rhys , made us by far the nicest drinks we'be had from a Starbucks and he really took the time to make sure he got it right even offering suggestions on improving our order. Would recommend highly , just keep it simple

I had a sleeping child in the back of my car and 45 mins until i had to pick up my husband from work, bought a coffee at the drivethrough and then drank it whilst waiting outside his office for him to appear. I have been inside once before for a meeting and for a place you have to travel to (there are no shops right next to it) it was amazingly busy. Staff were friendly, tables were not that clean but ours was done as soon as we mentioned it, and not grudgingly. I object to Starbucks on many levels but if desperate for a coffee and leaving your vehicle is not an option, it serves a purpose.

As ever - drive thru staff jovial, knowledgeable and professional. Food and drinks first class - maybe they could give a few tips to Frankie & Benny's across the road,,,,,

Love this Starbucks, my only complaint is the new seating arrangement.....or lack of it unless you want to sit a school table and have the whole table listen to your conversation!

I just love a S/B skinny decaf latte! It's a coffee shop - how wrong can it go? - Water, coffee, milk - done deal!

I come here regularly before work for a strawberries and cream frappuccino with white chocolate addition and I've gotta be fair never been let down on fab service or fab drinks 10 out of 10 guys (Frankie and bennies bar man)

I'm a massive Starbucks coffee fan. Much nicer than competitors. However, running out of mugs, tables uncleared, crumbs and dirt everywhere, sofas stained and toilets out of order. Starbucks - pull your socks up. Much improvement needed!!!!

Love the fact of a drivethru coffee house and for something different they do the most amazing Chai tea latte!!

Fast efficient drive through. Happy faces even first thing in the morning. Coffee always spot on. Gingerbread latte is superb! If you've time to sit in then there's plenty of space and suitable to work.
