Starbucks Coffee in Cardiff

This is a busy store however it’s always a pleasant experience. The staff today were extremely friendly. Coffee was nice and fruit toast was just right.

It can be a bit noisy if you want to go there to relax and do some work. The coffee is good and the service too.

I ordered a tomato and mozzarella panini and got a dry panini with just a bit of Pesto inside.

I usually love grabbing a Starbucks while out on a family day out but lately I am really not enjoying lately The coffee is not great I find it overly milky with hardly any taste of coffee. I find the price of the drinks has increased significantly with a coffee reaching nearly £5 The signature drinks are lovely and there's always a good atmosphere with friendly staff.

Amazing staff, always efficient but holy hell when did it get to 4.75 for a medium size pumpkin latte. For that reason alone I will rarely be returning! Didn't realize how expensive it was until it was too late.

Service was a bit slow and no clue given as to picking up from same window as ordering so ended up going in to collect order.However when I went in and got order the food and coffee was good. The dog loves his puppichino!!

I’m Regular customer… But I won’t be coming here again after this morning, I asked for a Skinny single with one shot & when I double check for my order I was informed it is 3- Shots when I informed him only One shot only… The staff who served doesn’t look happy and doesn’t have a friendly face too customer’s that is what you supposed too have with Job… The face he has look likes someone has just died & looks like every time I go there… The staff it with Blonde hair with black patches in it… When he made fresh one I realise he put Semi Skimmed not Skinny milk, then I had to go back again as he did not put Villa in my Latte, I ended up wasting my money on the Latte couldn’t get my order right in 3- Times.. I ended up not drinking as I couldn’t as it had Semi Skimmed Milk.. He doesn’t realise not everyone can take It if Customer asks for Skinny should listen too Customer… And they need too clean tables always looks mess where we sat the table covered in Crumbs either need Cleaner, but I find the place always looks unclean which not Professional specially it is well known Company……

Its Starbucks, if it was not for the amazing staff it would just be ordinary.

No other 24 hour food and drinks place, the best service and the fastest you will get your order anywhere. My second time leaving a review couldn’t ask for more.

My favourite place to work. It's spacious with a lot of natural lighting and an overall great vibe. There is outdoor seating too. Open 24 hours and all their staff is really nice. Coffee is great ofcourse!

Typical Starbucks, quick friendly service. Worth a visit.

Sept, 4th at 10:30 pm We spent £40 in total on drinks and snacks just to see the worker with the unicorn hair picking his nose by the drive thru window for a good few minutes. That is disgusting the fact that he made our drinks. We ended up throwing it away. Wasted our money. Don’t need to fire the worker but we definitely need to be compensated.

This is the only starbucks in Cardiff that never makes a mistake with my order give then all a raise

It's Starbucks.. you gey what you pay for, but these guys are pretty quick and efficient and really rather nice

Nice venue near the retail park. Staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee was well made. Clean and pleasant interior. Toilets clean too.

Was happy to hear that my order was so much of a nuisance to whoever was working that my deliveroo driver had to CONVINCE and BEG the man on duty to make my order! Wasnt exactly a difficult order to make, all iced drinks, and two toasties…. Only took the man 45 minutes to convince the worker to make it… worth it eh??

A very busy and popular coffee shop. I have used the drive thru service and also the app collection service here and have always been happy with the service received. There can sometimes be large queues at the drive thru but these generally go down quite quickly. The staff here are very helpful and friendly.

Very clean and very quick service. Also love the seating out side was lovely .. We didn't have any food. Coffee was lovely.

Best service I’ve ever had anywhere, really friendly staff on the headsets and on the windows. Great atmosphere on the inside of the Starbucks, drinks tasted great, couldn’t order the one we wanted but still happy regardless. Best Starbucks I’ve ever been to, best service of any food/drinks place. The man on the headset deserves a raise.

Brilliant customer service from a young blonde woman working the drive thru. Had to wait for our drinks to be made, and she talked to us and we had a good laugh. Very friendly lady, and I hope she does very well in her A level exam on Monday and get her A* 🥰 What a credit to starbucks cardiff bay store.

Light and airy excellent service by staff

Very noisy and busy, not many seats left. Tables needed to be cleaned up but not enough staff on. A lot of dogs inside, so not very good for people with allergies, could they not order beforehand and get the other person to collect order or from the window... just a suggestion 😕

Fantastic coffees and iced drinks, toasted sandwiches and sweet treats. The staff are always friendly and there's a nice atmosphere here. This particular Starbucks outlet is conveniently placed too with a lovely outdoor seating area which is great to sit in during warm evenings with a cup of your favourite drink.

The manager Julia is a narcissist and a patronising bully. The woman is filled to the brim with dishonesty and selfishness. Also lacks any form of moral compass. Most would typically associate her with an expletive noun rhyming with either punt, hunt or runt. Approach at your own caution.

What a disgrace! Management is shocking, speaking to their staff like minions. Sort yourself out. Tall skinny guy called himself a supervisor or manager.. not sure who gave him that role. Such a shame to see terrible people have the title of management. Would rather give the job to my 4 year old. Could have made a better cup of coffee. Just general rudeness to general questions. The girls are too busy talking among themselves to be bothered to be served. This Starbucks used to be beaming with people, just felt like another forgotten place.

I'd not choose a starbucks because i am not a fan of their coffee, and the temperature of the 'hot' drinks is pretty tepid. If i have no alternative, then I do go, and the staff at this one were nice enough, doing the job. The seating area is alright- what I'd expect from a Starbucks. Overly air-conditioned at times and not a cosy option. But serves a purpose.

The Starbucks in Cardiff is supposed to be open 24 hours - is that only the drive through? We got here at 5:50am and the staff said they only open at 6am

Excellent service. Though seasonal drinks were sold by 5pm!!!! So shame about that. By that time there was no rush so quiet. Which j liked.

I visit here all the time, at least once a week. The staff are always great and the serve time is generally pretty quick, even when it's really busy. I would have given 5 stars but sometimes, too often I think, the indoor service and seating area is closed earlier than advertised on the door which can be annoying and I'm forced to use the drive through.

Staff were nice the lady who served us was nice. The boy who done our drinks was kinda rude example there was lady before us and when he gave her, her drink he put a cup sleeve on it for her yet we had to ask for ours maybe cos it was a pretty girl that's kind of how it felt. We asked for extra syrup in my husbands drink ( white hot chocolate) which we paid extra for. And he says it just tastes like warm milk so not good. For the price you pay at starbucks you expect a pretty good standard of drinks I much prefer Coryton one so not the best place for drinks but some of the staff were nice like I said so I thank them for that but drinks are not great.

Moody management team still struggle to decide if it should be open for sitting in for 24/7 or maybe different plans!!! Covid was not only the reason for such struggles,,

Nice place to go for a coffee and a snack. Typical cafe type food (croissants etc) so don't expect a full menu. Drink in or drive-through, the choice is yours

2nd visit to tgis Starbucks Drive Thru. The ladies are very pkeasent and attendent Issac is a star. His happiness and customer servicebis outstanding.

Didn’t fill my reusable Starbucks cup which I bought from them to the top because it’s apparently bigger than the large but every other Starbucks fills it Also very rude

I just had a lunch in Starbucks, and this is what I did get for £4.45 . This was tomato,mozzarella and red pesto panini. It was no enough filling in the panini for the price. When asked member of staff, she said so many people complain about something. Starbucks I think you can do better

The website states that the drive thru is open 24 hours, this is not true! The amount of times I have drove in to the car park to discover that they have closed they're drive thru by blocking it off. They should at least update the website to say whether or not the drive thru is open at the current time. Apart from that, food and drink is perfect

Dated, cold, grubby and soulless. Just had a coffee as I was meeting someone & had upset stomach afterwards. Plenty of other choices locally for coffee/food so go elsewhere! It's had its day...

Venti Latte all the way please. Nothing more, nothing less. Chilled Starbucks with drive through as well. Cant go wrong!

Pleasant setting, good coffee, and a great place to meet up with friends and colleagues. Lots to eat and drink. Clean facilities and friendly staff.

It's OK but to be honest it's stupidly expensive for a coffee .. I normally grind my own beans and make it freshly myself .. It probably costs me less than 20p per mug. I probably drink 6 mugs per day , savings over a month works out the equivalent of a brand new bean to cup machine and about 15kg of coffee to go in it ! ... think I'll pass in future.

It's pretty good tge staff are ok, don't go out of their way, but the service is quick and my coffee is good. This particular Starbucks is a little bit tired. It could do with a bit of love.

Terrible. Ordered a Venti Americano with Milk and 4 Brown Sugars; I received it with Syrup! As though I wouldn't have noticed. So bad and the woman didn't seem to care. I had to drive another 25 minutes back to the drive thru after having driven 20 minutes there. Wasting almost an hour of my day. At least the man serving apologised for it and the woman acknowledged the mistake and I was given a replacement. Although if I had been allergic to something in that Syrup it could have been disastrous. Lack of caring and .I felt responsible for to let them know that replacing one ingredient for another is unacceptable. Not good!

Service good. However freezing cold inside and lemon cake v dry...definitely wouldn't recommend it!

Overpriced. Virtually had to fight offhand staff to get a table. Then got pinged by covid 19 app afterwards.

Afternoon Starbucks, Unfortunately my email to you today is not in relation to a franchise site, but one if your own - Cardiff Bay retail park. This Starbucks has been here for some time and although I've used it before, I won't again. I called in at 11:07 I know this as I sent an email from my phone a minute earlier. I walked in and stood over 2 metres away from the couple in front. There was one other customer in front of them. The couple moved forward and the member of staff - Miriam struck up a conversation with them and started to discuss the current social distancing as both were stood close to each other and the screen. I was some 3 metres away, but in Miriam' mind wasn't far enough so she to me to move back. I was now some 5 metres away from the till (6 of your large floor slabs). She continued to gossip with the couple oblivious to the 2 new customers behind me. Eventually - 10 minutes later after she'd  asked them to repeat the order 4 times she moved on to me. No apology for the delay. I presented my voucher that I'd obtained from Starbucks due to previous poor service. I made my request "venti Caramel Macchiato, extra hot and blonde" 3 times she asked me to repeat myself. I was going to buy some cakes but by now my blood was boiling. I moved to the spot that says "wait here" and I did... wait, and wait... The 2 baristas were shambolic. In the meantime myself and the other two customers were waiting and the queue for the drive through was growing rapidly. Then Miriam left the till and started telling the staff to go on break including the 2 baristas... I was shocked, was Miriam actually a manager... when the position was available did no one else apply!?. I finally received my coffee at 11:25. No apology, nothing. I walked outside and the drive through had 16 cars waiting and only one barista on coffee, and 3 members of staff stood about. Starbucks does not deserve my custom, in fact it didn't deserve anyone's at this location.. it is a disgrace!! In addition, although other companies have managed to jeep a phone line open I'm shocked that a company of Starbucks size can't organise themselves to have a phone line available, instead I have to take time out of my day to message you about your pathetic, shambolic and inept staff. Shame on you Starbucks 15.07.21. Again I was faced with the obnoxious member of staff, barking orders at the customers. Slow service, to the point I walked out. Went to the other local store... excellent service there, excellent 👏

Drinks made separately and so one half drunk before next was even ready. Coffee was ok. All tables available left uncleared / cleaned

We sat in and everything was nice. Track and trace was weird as it was on pen and paper, not QR codes or NHS.
