Starbucks Coffee in Ipswich

Came in with my friend the other week and was served by a lovely man, Dan was the name on his name tag, He was very polite and made our drinks lovely, my friend has dietry requirements which is sometimes difficult, Dan got this right, what a lovely smile too.

Gemma and Kiara were fantastic! Tasty coffee and quick out. Great job ladies 👍

Always great friendly service at the Ipswich Station Starbucks but today they went above and beyond. I dropped an AirPod and it bounced into a tight gap on a chiller unit. The staff borrowed tools and wouldn’t give up until they retrieved it for me. I even had time to buy a sandwich and catch my train. Thank you for the great service.

The ladies in the morning who I see when grabbing a coffee/breakfast before my train are always very friendly and chatty - it’s a nice start to the day!

The person serving was blunt and rude whilst taking our order of 2 coffees and some pastries. After we were handed our coffees we asked about the pastries we’d paid for to which her reply was “I don’t do food” she then proceeded to ignore us further and offered no help. We did then get our food by another person who was more pleasant.

I truly don't understand reviews that mention politeness and efficiency. The staff could not be any ruder, they are incredibly disregarding (two middle aged ladies) and less efficient, which is exactly the opposite of what you want in a train station. I arrive to the station with 10 minutes to spare and it's been twice that I order my coffee and have to leave without it because of the long time they take preparing it. Being the only person in the queue, multiple times I see the staff doing literally anything else but my coffee (like replenishing almond milk when I ordered a regular latte?), and when told to forget about my order as I need to catch my train, they get all passive aggressive, telling me that they can't make my coffee any quicker. They could if they had started preparing it when I ordered it, and not 3-4 minutes after. Lost a costumer. It's distasteful to see how little they care about their customers and I truly hope they have a nice wake-up talk with management.

Starbucks charging £4.55 for a medium latte at the station which was burnt and un drinkable. Buyer beware they are literally ripping off people and charging a 5p surcharge on top for your cup!

I always get my morning coffee here when heading into work or waiting for the train. It’s conveniently located within the station building so there is plenty of seating close by. The staff are lovely and always make time to chat. There is a great variety of hot and cold drinks and the service is very efficient. I am never waiting long which is peace of mind when I’m running a little late.

Wasnt feeling very well on arrival, ladies gave me some hot water and honey as a little home remedy and did the best they could with what they had very nice and friendly service

Friendly and efficient service! There was only one person working when I was there and she did a great job at managing the cafe by herself. Unfortunately they were out of any drink size other than a large, but that meant I could enjoy a large pumpkin spice frap without as much guilt because the choice was out of my hands ;)

It’s handy if you are a waiting for a train as it track side of the barrier. We had iced coffees. Very refreshing. The women doing the work was very pleasant and chatted. There was a depleted selection of sweet cakes but good choice on sandwiches. If you hate Starbucks don’t go. If you need a hot drink or a cold one, then it’s convenient.

ice machine has been broken now for a whole week or maybe even longer. they can’t offer ice drinks. what’s the point of being a starbucks if you can’t offer anything?

We arrived at Ipswich station out of the torrential rain and being splashed by cars from the walk. Needless to say myself and my five year old were soaked and cold. The lovely ladies at Starbucks saw my daughter looking all cold and wet and very kindly came over with a lot chocolate and asked if they could give it to her! My daughter was over the moon and loved the drink. I went straight over to buy a coffee and this was made super quick. The ladies were so kind and friendly, such a credit to Starbucks. Thank you so much Jemma and Cana you are wonderful!

Unfortunately, very bad experience yesterday midday at Starbucks in Ipswich Station while connecting trains (nearly missed my train due to this experience) with ample time and since the queue was not long at all. The gentleman who was taking orders was slow, curt as well full of attitude towards customers. Very unusual for a Starbucks staff to be this way. It is my very first time having such bad customer service at a Starbucks. Looking forward to a better experience when I next travel via Ipswich station.

Seems to be a franchised one. Situated in the main concourse of the station so seating is provided on the concourse by Greater Anglia. Starbucks is just a takeaway counter. Staff normally don't seem thrilled to be there (don't blame them tbh). Obviously quite expensive, especially with the markup they have for being on a station. I had a decent enough flat white though. Egg nog latte was far too sweet and sickly, not sure if that's just how it is or how they made it, though. I only come here if absolutely desperate. Also, despite their opening time listing on Saturdays, they usually open a lot later, I've noticed.

Went in for a hot chocolate after getting off my train and was pleasantly surprised by the speed and quality of the service. Donna was clearly busy, but it didn't seem to dampen her spirits as she served me and then other customers with a cheery smile. I know where to go if I want another hot chocolate that's for sure

Charge me £4.40 for a medium vanilla latte!!!! And you can’t even provide toilet paper or hand soap in the very dirty and unkempt toilets.. Not setting the brands standards at all..

I had caramel macchiato many different parts of the world and they can make it less sweet with less caramel drizzle. They refused to change my drink claiming can’t be less sweet! This place is not a Starbucks, just a little coffee shop run by the standards of two employees..
