Starbucks Coffee in Barnsley

Had a large latte and a smoky bacon sarnie...and both were excellent! Morning family group meeting with me and my wife, nieces Jemma and Amie, Jemma's fiancé Callum and Amie's children Jack and Milly Violet! Lovely time...x

Needed cleaning, toilets dirty. Lots of staff but no one clearing up .

Fast efficient drive-through service.

I don't often come to Starbucks but thought I'd try this one. I've got a disabled passenger and when we arrived there were two designated disabled parking bays but both were occupied by inconsiderate non disabled drivers. I reported it to a staff member but she said they couldn't do anything about it so i suggested at various times they could check and put a notice on the cars asking them to be considerate next time. Aside from that, the staff member who served me was pleasant. It was paper cups only today but it was posted on their door. The batista serving the drinks seemed to be quite slow so there was a queue. In total there were 4 members of staff serving both the drive thru and inside. I only ordered teas.

It was pretty empty but the staff were happy anyway.

They've started opening later, 5:30 now, so I can't call on the way to work. The staff are fantastic though and the drinks always nice 👍

Coffee was nice, but would only accept cards, no cash. No toilet paper in the toilets. Did tell the staff..

Went in to this Starbucks September 10th 2023 for a quick coffe. Went to the till and placed my order only to be told they don't accept cash anymore. Go to Costa across the road instead of waisting your time here. Better service and cheaper.

Quick friendly service, to usual Starbucks expectations. They accidentally added two pastries, but were happy to refund and still allowed us to have the second. All in all a very friendly interaction. Would recommend.

Always a poor coffee at Starbucks compared to an independent. This place is no different, but its clean and tidy and the staff seem friendly.

This particular franchise owner doesn’t operate well organised stores in my area. I visited both Birdwell in Barnsley and Peel Retail Park also in Barnsley, and they were both pretty rough and poorly managed with no focus on customer service. Peel for example just shouted out people’s orders after taking their names and taking time to tap this in, and were more interested in chatting to each others on their headsets. Birdwell has very little drinks other than, quote, “normally coffee from the machine”. They didn’t have chai, filter coffee, mint tea, or cold brew just to mention a few things. Rather than offering an alternative I was just given the aforementioned response. Both stores were not particularly clean, and had no passion or love towards the stores or it’s customers.

Lovely drinks, customer service made us feel so welcome. We was serviced by a you ng gentleman and he was very helpful , friendly and professional!. He loved my border collie and kept her happy with treats and his time. Thank you so so much! Can't get enough of this place now!. Recommend to anyone catching up with friends!

Staff on drive through are always welcoming and friendly. Always have a bit of a chat. Well worth the money.👍😁

Unfortunately today I received really bad, slightly arrogant service. We ordered a drink with oat milk for my friend who has serious milk allergy, we asked for oat milk and we got oat milk cream then full fat milk. When we went back to exchange and explain we were met with rudeness and excuses. My friend could have ended up in hospital....we were told it was an accident because the other drinks were made with normal milk. Again, that isn't an excuse for nearly putting someone in HOSPITAL. I wouldn't have written this review if they were NICE when we came back, we understand mistakes we are human but we do NOT need to be met with rudeness on behalf of YOUR MISTAKES. Unfortunately due to this lack of customer service, I wont be returning. I would like to point out this was a regular spot for me.

Service from the staff was very I ordered at the drive-thru I was never told they do not accept cash there were no signs to say they do not accept cash. But when my items arrived they then said card only and were very rude about it

Lots of tables needed clearing we had to move dirty cups from our table and our cake was served in take out bags as there were no clean plates as informed by staff

Really depends on how much you love these sort of drinks, they have great variety however in my opinion it is/can be a bit on the pricey side. Just something to bare in mind.

Wasted over £20 on stale, reheated inedible food.

I was served by staff member Angie. I bought a TooGoodToGo bag and turned to collect it, I went round the drive through as I had my dog with me, So I went straight round to the window rather than the speaker as I was only collecting TooGoodToGo and I wasn’t greeted as expected as Angie just said “you’ve not ordered at the speaker” I then went on to say I’d only come to collect the order and Angie just said “there isn’t any tonight” baring in mind I had bought it at 6pm and waiting until 9 to drive and collect it. Angie has no customer service skills what so ever.

Limited choice of seating as most tables were dirty. My Americano with extra shot tasted weak (i.e. English dishwater strength. I was hoping for a more European experience.) The affable staff obliged me with another shot, but the result was a caffeine blast with still no taste. Coffee quality is steadily rising in the UK, but sadly not here.

We went through the drive thru and the staff were absolutely lovely. Apologised for the wait which was only 2 minutes and barely a wait at all and just generally very pleasant and spritely for and early morning shift.

Cannot go wrong go to this place Viva Starbucks! Mierda Costa! Is the motto!! Starbucks forever!!

Excellent staff make this one of the best Starbucks

When Curt is on everything goes well and all the drinks are correct. Today for probably the 4th time in a row the drinks are incorrect despite double checking when we get to the payment window. People ask for milk alternatives for a reason be it allergies, dietary requirements or ethical choices. Poor service doesn't get you repeat custom. Do better

Lovely coffee. I had a skinny latte and my hubby had an Americano and a packet of mixed nuts, cost £7.50. Service was efficient and friendly. The tables were full of used coffee cups and other discarded wrapping, definately in need of a good clean. Whilst we were there the waitress came and removed the rubbish and sprayed the tables. Toilets are clean and accessible. We drank in but there is a drive through.

Very much hit or miss. The staff can be unpleasant and rude. The other Starbucks in the area are much better

Ordering through the app but wouldn't let me just pay for the order, I had to add money to the account in £5/£10/£15 to then use that to pay for the order. It was hard to find some of the things on the app. When I got to the speaker box the guy just said we're doing your order. Didn't feel personal or friendly just seemed scripted and monotone. Coffee was ok. I'm being generous with the 3 stars

Clean tables, delicious coffee.

Been going here for a long time but after today. never again.. Avoid this branch at all cost!!. Came here this morning and the idiotic staff member didn't put the lid/cap on the coffee properly which resulted in it spilling all over me, burning my hand in the process and staining my new car! I was very angry at this and the excuse from the staff member was we only heat up the drinks enough not to hurt. They didn't seem that bothered that they could have scarred my hand and offered a very weak apology.

Nice but so expensive! Cups don't even have Starbucks logo could have bought same at McDonald's at half the price! They don't even ask your name so you don't feel special like usually you would at Starbucks! Not even received one smile from staff they where all too busy...

The coffee was good and staff polite but unfortunately the toilet had been left in an undesirable condition.

Great drinks, took a little while to make them though. Ordered a pumpkin spiced latte with oatmilk and vegan cream it was delicious.

VERY DISAPPOINTING, THEY dont accept cash and will not warm up panini slightly only 'all the way' and when asked why they said 'its health and safety thing'. The one at Caenby corner offered it free of charge and had no problems with warming it up a bit neither.

very very bad ...I order cappuccino ..they give me caramel FRAP ..very bad ..if they have hearing problem don't work there ..

My mum went here - I don’t drink anything from Starbucks, however I drove her here. It’s a cute little Starbucks just off the roundabout, pretty difficult to figure out from sat nav as it takes you the wrong way so easily could get lost but service was great, friendly and fast! Can’t fault it!

Friendly staff... good coffee.. plus a vegan cake... (lime and coconut slice)... clean, airy surroundings. A very pleasant visit... i've been twice in a week... will definately be back again.

Just a usual ok Starbucks - I wish they wouldn’t burn the milk to an un-drinkable temperature every single time but they seem to do it at every branch unless you ask for child’s temperature. The staff were friendly via the drive through though and service was nice and fast.

Waited nearly 20 minutes for our drinks because only one coffee machine was working.... Paid for a vanilla latte, got a plain latte with a hair in it. Satff were very polite.
