Starbucks Afton Way Drive Thru in Dundee City

30 minutes for a terribile cortado.... Staff miserable, guy named Logan handled flat white spilling over... Absolutely shambolic wait, service and hit drinks. Shame in you pal!!!

Slowest Starbucks I’ve used. Took 20 minutes to make a grande americano. The customer after me walked out after waiting 10 minutes for a chai tea. Wasn’t even busy and 3 staff behind the counter. Just no real management to direct them.

Just had the worst Skinny Cappuccino I have ever tasted. First mug I got I took back because it was very weak (like skimmed milk and hot water). I returned it and was served with another exactly the same.Tables weren’t tidy, after a while someone lifted the cups etc from the tables but they weren’t wiped down. Don’t think I will be back.

I was having a really bad day and Gabi was absolutely fantastic and really brightened up my day 🖤🖤

Stopped off here on trip home from Aberdeen. A much welcome alternative to Morrison's cafe! But why do the staff need headphones, which makes communication with actual people problematic and certainly does not make service at all customer responsive.

Had a very strange chai latte here. Smelled and tasted like perfume.

Great place to stop and have a coffee...

Ordered a regular latte. Have never seen such a large mug. Thank goodness I didn't order a bigger option. I "live" on coffee but ended up leaving at least 50% due to the "abnormal" size.

Always freezing door doesn't stay closed. Drinks as expected but no cups left, had to have takeaway cups. Staff friendly enough.

Clean got served quick and great staff too

Ordered some drinks and cakes. Drinks came totally different, once prepared we were then notified that you can’t get what you ordered because thats out of stock so here you go. Take it or leave it. Cakes that we ordered were missing, had to then stand watching 3 automated overworked robots of staff for over 10 minutes before I could get a human interaction to get the rest of my missing order. Starbucks is always my go to but I’d rather drive to the petrol station up the road and grab a coffee from the machine there.

Not a fan of multi national chains I like the layout of this coffee shop though

I decided to get a delivery from here through just eat they put cream on a drink that should never of had cream on it and I have no way to contact them as nobody answers the phone

Dog friendly and gluten-free options. Clean toilets. Friendly staff.

Worst espresso I have ever had..instead of concentrating on the fancy cups..try and get back to making a good coffee

Just in for a quick double espresso to go to perk me up for the journey ahead to Peterhead. Spotlessly clean place. I remembered my own cup this time. Great placement on the road for easy access.

Came in for a drink there was three members of staff on doing sweet fa and chatting. Drink had missing ingredients, when questioned, it seemed a hardship to rectify it. Table and floors are dirty, will not be back I use Starbucks regularly but this was a real disappointment

1st time I have been here. A pleasant place to go for a coffee.

Lovely and so clean and tidy location. Despite being busy,they managed to keep it clean. Staff as nice as you would expect from Starbucks. Very impressed, compared to London locations

Am pretty much here on a daily basis, much to the disgust of my bank balance! Staff are lovely! Always helpful, friendly, welcoming and have never had a problem with my order. Well done to management for their hiring process, as can't compliment the many staff that work here highly enough. Especial shout out to Alex! Never have to tell him my order, he knows it by memory now - Haha!

It's a standard Starbucks: gives the impression of being delivered fully operational on a big truck. Lift off truck. Set on ground. Remove plastic wrapping & it's open for business.

So bad avoid. Flat white was in a tall cup, was really just hot milk.

Really gone downhill unfortunately. The staff are harassed, stressed and snippy. I think management may not being putting enough staff on each shift. Multiple times recently I've had people starting to take orders via their headphones while they're giving me my drinks, meaning I can't check things with them that I need to know. Went inside today and the cakes were covered in fruit flies - yuck! Also they never, ever have the vegan whipped topping in so don't even bother to ask. In fact don't even bother to go here.

Was already down the road before finding out the latte I bought was served ridiculously hot, totally indrinkable for about 30min! Didn't ask for extra hot so shouldn't be served that way

Served tonight at the drive thru around 5pm by an Irish accented staff member. He was brilliant and just wanted to pass on our thanks for his service.

Possibly my first negative Starbucks review. Coffee was great, however poor selection of snack food to buy at the counter.

Only 2 staff on who had to deal with drive thru and sit in orders. This made the time between order and serve so long that we had to ask if they forgot about our order.

Had a toasties and latte was nice and then a banana muffin.

It's a Starbucks, a bit clinical, lacking ambience, needs more comfy chairs, sofas etc.

Nice Outlook and atmosphere, service is typically good as its a quieter store can be tricky getting put at lights at bottom of the road at times.

It's quite a busy place for drive thru customers, so if you are sitting in, expect a delay in getting your order. It's still a nice place to go, and the staff are very friendly and work hard.

Staff have always been really great and friendly. I visit this starbucks multiple times a week on my way to work. Haven't had any problems on any of my orders yet. I wouldn't recommend the food as its pretty expensive for pre-packaged items, but 1000% here for their speciality espresso drinks.

The slowest drive-thru ever... they even parked me for 1 single drink... looked inside the restaurant was empty... Every time I come here is a looong wait.

Visited via drive through, was asked to pull up as it would take a few minutes. 20 mins later I went in to cancel my order. Multiple walk in an other drive through customs had been served. My coffee was sitting waiting when i went in. When I finally got it it tasted burnt and not that hot. Save yourself a wait and a bad coffee and drive to the next Starbucks!

Chairs need a good clean as they are soiled and grubby. Also need to put the heating up-visited on Sunday 4th November, mid afternoon and it was cold.

The staff need to start cleaning the tables never get a seat as it's dirty cups left on the tables

Staff seemed to not be very organised the day we were there. Had no regular cups so gave us big ones half full.

Very slow. Staff not particularly attentive. Despite no queue, stood at the till for 10 minutes without even an acknowledgment. Left without being served.

Waited 25 minutes for a single coffee. Went through the drive-thru had to wait a full 5 minutes until someone took my order, after finally getting to the window I was asked to take a space. After waiting 10 minutes with no sign of my order I went inside. At the till I was completely ignored by all the staff members. I finally managed to get someone’s attention by saying excuse me, this is when the very rude middle aged woman behind the coffee machine snapped “what” at me. I explained I had ordered my coffee and had been waiting outside for near 20 minutes. She preceded to say that she was on with two new members of staff and that she was the only one who was able to make the coffee’s and that there was nothing she could do about it. I waited for another few minutes only to see that cars that were pulling up to the window were being given their order. After getting the same rude woman’s attention I reiterated that I had already been through the drive-thru and asked why people who had only just ordered were getting served and I had yet to get my coffee she asked what my order was. After hearing this she stated oh your coffee is there and asked the guy to hand it over, this was amongst 10 other cups of coffee waiting to be given to customers. Not only was I ignored an rudely spoken to I was given a cold coffee (with the wrong roast type). I have come almost every day to this Starbucks and have never had any such issue but after being spoken to like this an given such poor service I won’t be back.

Went into drive thru for 2 latte’s. Got home to find the soya latte with extra shot half full! This is the second time 😭

Usually this location is not very busy, however this was a Sunday afternoon so I kind of expected the traffic they had. It was quite a wait for any orders, sit in or takeaway. That's fine I can understand a rush and all the staff were busy doing their jobs. However I got a gluten free ham and cheese panini, and they served me a regular one in a takeaway bag that said it was the gluten free. I did not realize I had the wrong one until I had taken a couple bites. I have Celiac's disease, so I can NOT have anything with gluten. Told the staff and they replaced it with a "sorry but we're busy". Sorry but that's not an excuse! This is an allergy that was blatantly disregarded and has made me ill. Thankfully it wasn't something worse like a nut allergy that can instantly hospitalize someone. Please train your staff to follow procedures better.

Lovely little Starbucks. Handily directly opposite Morrisons. It has a reasonable amount of space and when I visited at around 10am in the morning it was quiet. It has a limited amount of parking but due to its location this would be more than suitable for it. The staff were very helpful. Helped me understand the Starbucks loyalty scheme. I had a delicious flat white which was made excellently and with record time. Also it has lots of plugs for laptops and mobile phones.

So many delivery company pick ups interrupting shop customers' service requirements. Could operate better.

There were not a lot of parking spaces for the size of the place. We got the last 2 spaces in the car park. The coffee was also not great. It was very weak and tasted mostly of milk.

Clean dining area and counter, menu board clean, working well and easy to read. Friendly efficient staff. Happy to explain drinks to me so I knew what to order. Tasty drinks

Came to the drive thru ordered our drinks and got it completely wrong, despite confirming our order twice, boys attitude was shocking also. All round 1/5

It’s really a hit or miss. One day everything is clean and tidy and the staff are quick with everything, the other it’s super filthy, the staff are not cleaning out a single table in over an hour, you have to sit on crumbs and with someone else’s drink and plates on your table.

Nice staff but came in at unfortunate time. Think they were changing menu range, and was in the evening so not as much choice as usual. My tea took 15 minutes, but was offered apologies. Everyone has an off day, so I'd give them another go

Unfortunately got every drink wrong, asked for no whipped cream on drinks even the order label states no whipped cream yet they was smothered in it ..£21 down the drain From now on I will go in store as I can't fault the place when I actually visit.

Pretty disappointing, tea came in a disposable cup even though I was sitting in and wifi still not working so wasn't able to do what I needed.

A long wait to get a coffee and a toastie - with only a few other customers in front of me. There seemed to be a lot of staff hanging about behind the counter while tables had cups and plates needing to be cleared away. A shame as this is a fairly new branch, perhaps just teething troubles.

Coffee ☕: Use the Golden Roast, that's ok (the normal 1 is burned). BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE (probably from Corporate) WHO ARE RUNNING AROUND WITH A ELECTRONIC PAD AND WATCHING THE STAFF's EVERY MOVE, AND CHECKING HOW MANY MORE COFFEES CAN THE STAFF THROW OUT (and making Corporate more Profit) IN DOING SO THE WORKERS GET NERVOUS AND ANXIOUS (‼️ NORMALLY STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY WHEN UNDISTURBED) IN RETURN NEARLY THROWING THE CUSTOMER OUT OF THE SHOP WHEN FINISHED WITH THE ORDER ERGO REDUCING CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN THEY SHOULD LOOK AROUND THE SHOP AND CHECK WHAT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AREA (That's where the customer will consume their purchased products and maybe sit down for a second) LOOKS LIKE INSTEAD AND MAYBE HAVE IT NICELY CLEANED. ‼️ FOOD FOR THOUGHT HERE‼️👎

Visited many times... It's a good and pretty Decent place to have some drinks.. it's having a drive thru access also... Having good parking space and toilets.

I had order two coffees from the Forfar Starbucks and the service was shocking and the coffee was rank. I decided to pull in to the Dundee Morrison Starbucks and explain the situation. Kaitlyn working there at 8pm on Friday the 27th of may listened to us made new substantially better drinks and offer a discount on additional food we purchased.

The Best Starbucks coffee I’ve ever had was here … you would expect that the coffee is same in every Starbucks shop everywhere but that’s not true … No bitter taste like I usually get in coffee from other Starbucks !

The staff are unaware about dietary requirements, despite having and advertising vegan food. I have a dairy allergy and wanted to make sure it wasn’t in the syrup but the bottle was in a foreign language. Not really good enough?! Should there not be an allergy folder on site. Not saying it was the staffs fault. Just clarifying they should know or have options to help.

Nice Starbucks. It's next to Morrisons, and my wife was in there so I took our two dogs in and I had a coffee and croissant .The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. As I had the two dogs with the young blonde girl (sorry, I didn't get her name) very kindly brought my order over to me. My wife seemed to get kidnapped by the supermarket and after a while Mark kindly asked if I wanted anything else and he poured me another coffee an brought it over to me. Staff make a place and they went above and beyond just to help me. Thank you both!

Rude staff, drive thru giving priority , poor customer service!

ordered a coffee, sandwich and some sides. The order was delivered with the coffee and sandwich missing. Just-eat refuses to help and the restaurant doesn't reply to calls or messages. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not order from this Starbucks unless you want to be duped and disappointed.

Don't think av ever experienced more friendlier staff at a drive thru or Starbucks. If I'm coming past here on travels again I will be for sure popping by again. Plus coffee is excellent.

Went in to get a take away drink, the only thing I can say is RUDE. The member of staff with the multi-coloured hair is just rude. Tried to ask a question regarding something on the menu was just told to go to the next till. The member of staff at the till answered my question quickly, politely and friendly. The opposite of her collegue. Headset or not, no need for that rudeness and please wash your hands after touching your hair. Maybe even have it tied back when working with food and drinks.

It's always a pleasure visiting this Starbucks as the staff really are excellent. Aside from that you know what you are going to get (surely) and it's delivered very well. It's reasonably accessible if you use a wheelchair, an automatic door would be nice though. Recommended.

New, clean, quiet Starbucks on the private drive into Morrisons.

Went through the Drive Thru today on way to the vet and the coffee tasted weak. Went back after the vet appointment and spoke to Mark who couldn't have done any more to help us out. He made us fresh coffees which still didn't taste right to us, so asked us to wait in the car park and brought us out more freshly made coffees and extra shots of espresso and didn't leave us until we were satisfied - very very grateful :)

Popped in for the first time tonight, outstanding customer service, well done guys 👍
