Delicious, tasty, competitive priced, hit food

This place has gone totally downhill since my last purchase 6 months ago. I ordered online and really should have walked away when I arrived to find the waiting area (covid screens and chippy hot cabinet) filthy with grease. I got home with my kung po chicken to find the sauce full of lumps of jelly. The accompanying chow mein noodles were ok but the sauce was completely unedible. £11.20 wasted. Avoid!

been looking for a good chinese since i moved to dundee and must say this one is amazing and has became our regular so far! chicken chowmain is unreal..and staff are welcoming and always smiling 👍🏻

This was a classic case of the anticipation being better than the meal itself. Disappointing doesn’t even cover it. I had King Prawn Bamboo Shoots and Cashew nuts. My partner had Special Kung Po. The meal was 20 mins late - not a problem and I get that they were busy. But my meal had no cashew nuts a few prawns, not much sauce and was totally bland - no flavour whatsoever. The kung po was bulked up with almost raw onions, some unidentifiable crispy strip things and again, next to no flavour. The banana fritters ordered for desert had no syrup at all and the batter was waaay undercooked. So it was stodgy batter with raw bananas. Ugh. I won’t be back … Thirty quid wasted and in the bin

Late night snack for fav. Chips, fried rice and curry sauce. Totally let down. Served in a small plastic container. Chips half cooked. Curry sauce, what's was in it was worse ever had. Price was way over the top for potion size. Sorry you have lost this costomer. Today this is worse takeaway today. This is the first time had it in a plastic container, if this is large I would hate to have small. Don't enjoy writing this. But your sizing and pricing don't match.

Ordered my food on there online website and when I phoned they said they never got my order but they money has came off my back.i even gave it a few days as it said pending at first in my bank but now the money has been taken out.really disappointed as I don't like writing bad reviews.

It's a take away, bit pricey, food absolutely excellent. I'm finding that most Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway around where I live aren't that good anymore but Downfield Garden's food is excellent. Thank you very much Chefs.

Always good, thought I'd try something new for a change and it didn't disappoint definitely go again

Previously had food from Downfield Garden which was excellent, however food we have just had was very poor. Mini rolls and chips tasted like they were cooked in old or cheap oil. Chicken was poor quality. Didn’t even eat half of what was ordered, most of it went in the bin.

Asked for a portion of chicken curry fried rice along with a beef an mushroom fried rice clearly couldn't be arsed an gave me curry sauce on both (hotter than hell btw) couldn't finish pretty rank an was charged over 24 quid for the privilege Avoid

Great place to get your food ..staff are so friendly and you get what you ask for .....some taken out or some extra ....even when I get a delivery my foods hot and the drivers friendly .....i don't order from anyone else..... The Raskal ....

Will not be going here again. Prices are now absolutely ridiculous.

Best Singapore chowmein I've had in ages, fresh and clean tasting, with proper ingredients, fresh chilli, couldn't fault it. Ordered and picked up, ready on arrival. Deffo be back 😁

This was a great Chinese takeaway, had our favourite meals and been going for the last 5 years once or twice a month. Like other reviewers have found the standard has slipped drastically since new ownership. During lockdown we had two orders which was so dreadful, we couldn't eat any of it, I actually have never experienced anything worse! It is sad that the recipes were not continued or training was not given before the swap over to ensure continuity, as we are now lost where to go for a good chinese! I wouldn't have given it 1 star, but needed to, to be able to post this review.

Delivery oner 1 and a half hours late phoned it was still not prepared. Wife had to go and collect

Unfortunately the family who ran the takeaway retired. Everyone hoped that flavours wouldn't change much. If its not broken don't fix it. Unfortunately everything did change and the families favorite Chinese takeaway has disappeared. Personal opinion, but the flavours our family enjoyed have been completely changed.

Don't usually like Chinese food but this was delicious.

Normally our first choice. However we think it may be under new ownership of late.

Excellent food as always and on time with delivery- food was piping hot. Highly recommend

Had a chow mein from here and me and my partner really enjoyed our food ....the service was quick and the driver kept within the rules of covid

Extensive menu and well cooked food.

We had a king prawn curry and sweet and sour chicken tonight for the first time. The guy who took our order was so clear and precise, he even told me how how much it would be without asking. We were told it would be 1-2 hours but we got it in 40mins.

Meal arrived without gravy or chips on order confirmation and charged expecting apology when phone and offer to rectify not be told I didn’t order them even though I was charged and have email copy of receipt after the meal these arrive at the door I refuse them as no longer required to be told well we delivered them so you will pay for them needless to say won’t order again

Brilliant service, efficient and quick, food is tasty and fresh. Would highly recommend.

First time i have been and it will be the last .paid 10 pound for a munchie box .it was disgusting . It was covered in onion and pepper even though there was no mention of onion on the menu.the chips were covered in some sort pepper .

This is my favourite Chinese very friendly staff delivery service is great and Food is very good. I’ve never had a bad experience in 4 years. Highly Recommend Trying
