Oshibori in Dundee City

Awful experience. We were here on Saturday night and clearly there was an issue with the night. It took an hour for our drinks to arrive and almost 90mins to have a bite of food. And our table was not alone on this…it was so bad that we were joking and chatting with a couple of tables around us about it…what else could we do but joke our way through for support! When the food finally arrived the golden beef chef’s special, G U R U D E N G Y U N I K U was not ‘melt in your mouth’ as the menu states. Rather chewy and tough. I’ve had a lot of Japanese food (it’s our fave) and this was more akin to a beef stew. It wasn’t great…a pile of beef stew with a side of over cooked sushi rice. We also had the tempura bento box….it was okay…not the best…but at this stage we just wanted to eat and get out of there really. Also, there is no place for broccoli in a tempura..no place! lol!! Clearly we won’t return…we also requested for service to be removed from the bill given the lonnggg evening and lack of table service. Pity the bar staff as clearly they were doing their best. We also noticed one of the tables left early….we were tempted to do the same but decided to persevere. Shame this restaurant appears beautiful on the surface, but where service, dining experience, and Japanese cuisine is concerned really falls below par.

Delighted to find such wonderful fish in Dundee! The sushi rice was not my favorite, but the salmon in the maki was soft and tender. We also got a delicious tonkatsu ramen. I wouldn’t order the miso soup again, it was underwhelming. Overall, a great experience!

Fantastic service! Such a beautiful spot to dine at, great place for a first date with super reasonable prices too. Truly brings culture and cuisine together in an inexpensive bow. Mojito wasn't my favourite and tasted a bit cough syrupy, however, ramen on the other hand? Delicious!

The food itself was incredible and the help from the Oshibori staff was amazing. However, just eat could not organise a driver and therefore we were waiting for an extremely long time with no explanation until we phoned Oshibori ourselves. We'll definitely be ordering from Oshibori again but just eat need to get their act together.

I revisited Oshibori last weekend. The restaurant must have recently been refurbished, and I loved the new interiors. We had a platter of sushi. gyoza, tempura prawns, and ramen. The food and service were excellent, as always. This is my favourite restaurant when I travel to Dundee.

A beautiful restaurant , very helpful staff . Polite but not obtrusive. The food is 10/10 . She who must be obeyed had never had Japanese before. It is now in her favourite list. I can also say that the sake is served at the correct temperature.

My sister and I had dinner at Oshibori last weekend. The restaurant has recently been refurbished, and I loved the new interiors. We had California rolls, dragon rolls, gyoza, tempura meal, and ramen. The food and service were excellent. Oshobori is my favourite restaurant whenever I am in Dundee.

Edit: A surprisingly quick response from the restaurant expressing "disappointment" with my negative review. Well, you're not going to get positive reviews if there's dog's poo in your restaurant, as simple as that. By the way, the waiter explained that "the owners have dogs, so it's probably theirs". But honestly whoever owned the dog that pooped in your restaurant, it's yours to clean it up before you let people in there and serve them food. And - no, we weren't told by the staff that the garden was not open to the public; it was the opposite, we asked if we could sit in the garden and the waiter showed us to the table outside and served us there, we also weren't the only guests dining outdoors - there were two more tables in the garden with people having their meals outdoor, so clearly the garden was not closed to the public, just covered in litter and animal waste. It's a shame the owner is not capable of taking any responsibility for obvious negligence and mistakes, instead being rude to customers who dare to point them out. Bad for business, to say the least. We went for my wife's birthday. Very good, well presenting food. Great ramen. Variety of options to choose from, a whole separate vegan menu which is a big plus. However, the waiter seemed quite sleepy and bored (the chef who served us food was lovely though), the garden we sat in was covered in litter and looked more like a construction site than a dining space, and - worst of all - there was a dog's poo in the garden. After I informed the staff, they apologised and it was taken care of, but I honestly doubt I'll be going back there anytime soon, and I don't think I would recommend anyone else to go there.

Service was a littler quirky. Business traveler dining alone. Mid week earl ish dining, 6.30, very quiet would have expected this place to be busier, more of the romantic spot by the layout lots of couples dining tables. Good for the catchment in the area I imagine. Took far too long to get a beer 25 minutes , in the end they got this from the upstairs bar area, my EE phone service in that basement was non existent and no WiFi ( not that important if you’re having a romantic meal) Food was of reasonable quality sushi I have had better but the Ramen was nice, not much chicken but good flavours. Waiting time coinciding there weren’t many diners was longer than expected (again not an issue if you you chatting to friend or partner) Price was about market average.

First time visiting Oshibori and giving you an honest review. Service was alright but please speak a little louder, so quiet like a mouse. We did not feel comfortable sitting near to an open door with a draught and felt we were being watched constantly via staff at bar. The aroma that was drifting out of the kitchen was making me more hungry which was a plus we were all hungry. Japanese dumplings could have had more seasoning in them a bit too bland. 2 of us had Teriyaki chicken Ramen , breadcrumbs were not fresh , far far too much black pepper in ours and the broth very very bland, my husbands Ramen broth was also very bland. I make authentic Japanese Ramen all the time so know what to look for in a hearty authentic Ramen. Sadly too early for me to have a sake so I asked for a Martini and Lemonade , and was served some kind of cocktail concoction which I never drank. Chairs cushions were not clean so I exchanged mine. My daughter felt uncomfortable being placed at a table which faced directly to the bar and staff. Our bill came to £79s ,however I really should have paid what the meal was worth and not the bill price. As a Japanese restaurant I expected your Ramen to taste amazing and it was not. Hopefully you will take this on board changes are good and positive for future.

Sashimi is fine, fresh, and has a nice texture. Tempura 🍤 decent 👌 The most disappointing is the Eel with rice, the menu written that they will use sushi rice, but they are not! If they use Japanese rice, I definitely will go again! The staff is very polite and patient, environment is good but not too Japanese style!

I walked in to a restaurant with less energy than a geriatric care home, a foreshadowing prerequisite my sub-optimal evening. I could order sushi more flavourful from a Deliveroo ghost kitchen, the miso had no tofu and the cheesecake was Tesco Basics at best. I’ve had better service from an NHS receptionist and the green tea, a basic staple which could have finished a stale evening in a flavourful, caffeinated way, tasted like dishwater from my Hotpoint. I would kindly direct all future prospective customers to a delightful restaurant approx a 10 min walk away, Tony Macaroni.

This is a must visit for anyone who likes sushi and stops in Dundee. Incredible food for very decent price, especially during lunch time. I've been here a few times to date and have never been disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant service and amazing food. What else can one ask for?

Unfortunately we didn't get to try the food. We sat for 20 minutes without be asked for a drinks order. During this time we overheard another customer asking if their food was on its way and if they could get their drinks. So we thought better of it and left. They did seem understaffed as most of the empty tables had not been cleared. Appreciate this isn't the servers fault. Perhaps management need to consider increasing the number of staff. I haven't rated the food as we didn't get to try any. But from what we could see it looked really good.

Attended on 15/6/24 With a friend who lived in Japan, I love your restaurant, but experiencing it through her for the first time was a joy. Your waiters and bar staff are absolutely fantastic, pleasant manners and perfectly attentive. And the food absolutely blew us away, she was slayed with everything. A totally perfect experience! No delivery. My delivery was stolen?

This is the favourite restaurant of one of our kids. Unfortunately, it no longer is one of ours. Although the food still tastes great, the service and upkeep has gone down in recent years. This makes for an annoying experience, certainly for the price you pay.

Really like the atmosphere and environment (inside). Very clean, quiet and elegant. I like the mild music. I ordered Shaomi, including nigari, sashimi and rolls, and warm sake for £30, I really like the sashimi. Food is delicate, prepared with fresh fish and vegetable. Service is nice too.

I chose to eat at Oshibori because of their extensive vegetarian and vegan menu. I was particularly looking forward to trying some of their vegan nigiri. I was not told that none of the vegan nigiri was available until I ordered. Green tea? Not available. I ordered ramen, which had obviously been heated in a microwave. Service was good, but when I asked if I had been served a "diet" soda, because I was sure that I could taste aspertame (which I react to), I was assured that it was the regular soda. I didn't realise until later that all soda in the UK has aspertame. Beware. I hope that whatever supply chain and cooking system issues that they are experiencing are dealt with soon so they can get back on track.

6 years ago I rated this restaurant 5*. This visit was such a disappointment. The restaurant was unpleasantly cold, the service was underwhelming and the food disappointing. My husband bit into a hard black lump when eating his ramen. We don't know what it was but the server suggested it might be from some sort of plate. That was after he had given up trying to eat his tough and chewy pork. Apologies were given but the bill wasn't changed to compensate. In fact we were handed our bill minutes after highlighting the foreign substance in his food. We had intended to order desert but felt we were being rushed out for having the gall to point out an inedible substance in his food. Won't be back and we have already shared our disappointing visit with friends, family and colleagues.

Very disappointing experience. We went there for dinner on bank holiday Monday. While the decor is fantastic the lack of customers and lack of any heat made for a poor atmosphere. The pack of customers couldn't be helped but it was uncomfortably cold. We ordered starters of california roll and gyoza. These were nice and turned out to be the highlight of the meal. Our soy sauce was empty so we swapped it with another (empty) tables. We both ordered ramen for our mains. This was brought out before our starter plates had been removed. Not much of an excuse as no other customers at that time. Our server said he'd be back with spoons but he didn't come back. My husband ended up going up for them instead. Both Ramen dishes were on the bland side. Mine was spicy chicken but I'd rate the spice level fairly mild. My husband had the pork ramen. His eggs were lovely but the pork was tough and chewy. He wasn't really enjoying it but then was totally put off when he ended up biting into some black stone like material. We couldnt work out what it was. We advised the server, he apologised and guessed it might be off some plate? We advised the pork was tough and chewy too. A few mins after clearing our plates he brought out the bill and apologised again. We hadn't asked for the bill and had actually intended to order the mochi for desert. It felt like we were being rushed out because we had pointed out an issue with the food. Not wanting to give them any more money at this point we decided just to pay the bill and leave, rather than get desert. Worth mentioning that there were no deductions from the bill, despite my husbands Ramen going back half eaten. We won't be back and will be sharing our negative experience with friends and family.

The food was very good, but certainly not worth waiting for two hours for it to come out of the kitchen! I can see why it was very quiet on a Saturday night when the rest of Dundee was so busy. We won't be back.

Great calm and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful decor. Comfy seating. The food was absolutely top notch, we both ordered 3 courses and loved every bite. The portions are extra generous. We also tried (at least) one of every cocktail they offer, and they were all fun and delicious. The staff were all friendly and really welcoming. Just an amazing experience, really looking forward to our next visit!

Ordered at 19:05, expecting it to be here much earlier, at the latest in time for me opening my fast at 20:00. But the delivery time kept changing and it didn’t arrive til 20:30. And wasn’t looking very presentable at all x

First time ordering bento box little disappointed box of rice and lettuce 3tempura prawns they were good the tempura veg was good miso soup mmm ok size was really good I think it could of been better but given it’s a Saturday night I’ll have to try on a lest bust night

I would describe the place as average. We had ages to wait on our meal so the chef sent out soup while we waited, the food was okay but nothing special however I wouldn't return because of the absolute filth and stink from the toilets. I was disgusted to find the one and only toilet blocked and when I complained the staff attempted to address the situation however when I returned later in the evening it was just as bad, the toilet and wash basins were filthy and stained, the smell was so bad it made you want to be sick and there was an upturned bin on the toilet floor alongside a plastic shovel with discarded tissue all over the place. I couldn't get out fast enough to find somewhere else to wash my hands.

I have no clue why this place isn’t 5 stars. I’m writing this review 3 days later!! This is by far hands down the best restaurant me and my partner have been to. It is pricey but I feel as if the price matches the food, I am willing to pay £30 on a meal that meets its price because of the taste the amount you get and so on! Honestly never tried Japanese food before thought it would be a nice change and we like to try different foods. Honestly the best restaurant ever. I never write a review but I just feel I had to. I am so happy that I took my partner here for our anniversary it was so meaningful, romantic, calm and delicious. I’m very very happy with our meal. Thank you so much to the chefs and even the lovely waiter. Thank you, will 100% be back. Also noticed that people are moaning about the wait, the food is fresh it’s good to know it’s being cooked the second you ask for it. We thought. It was quick service.

But overpriced for the portion sizes, I guess we're just used to more sushi for our buck. It was only okay.

Almost half of the light bulbs in the restaurant were off or broken. The table legs were in the middle of your legs that was very awful if you were wearing a dress because you have to open your legs. The service was extremely slow and I was wondering how many people work in the kitchen. There were only two staff including waiter and bar tender on Saturday night. The rice wasn't Japanese rice. It was more like Jasmine rice that the Chinese restaurant used. The green tea wasn't green tea. The tea bags probably were from China. The toilet wasn't very clean and no soap, no hand towels or hand dryer.

Went out for my daughter’s birthday dinner. It was lovely. The waiter was really lovely. Very pleasant experience.

Took approx 2 hours to eat meal as service was so delayed even though there was only one other table in. Food was bland and unremarkable. Tempura’s prawns tasted as if they were frozen / not home made.

Bit late for the review, Dined in on 1st Sep , Was supposed to be a happy occasion as was celebrating my daughters birthday, but what a horrible experience. Advice to the owner, Japanese authenticity starts with their etiquette. After booking and confirmed the reservation via OpenTable our table wasn’t ready and on top of that we were made to feel very unwelcome and made to sit near the doors away from all the other party which was quite insulting. After having travelled extensively in Southeast Asia and dined at MS Japanese restaurant, the experience was really below par. Had to wait for more than hour for our food to come out of the kitchen, even then the pork cut in Ton katsu was wrong, in my Crab Donburi bowl, there was an oyster shell and an inedible flower for decoration🙄. Overall not to my standard

I’ve been visiting Oshibori since it first opened. I hadn’t visited in over 5 years and whilst the place has always been a bit weird, things have clearly gone downhill. My observation would be the service is unprofessional, I can remember arriving at 12.30pm for lunch when they advertised to open and nobody being there. Anyway; my wife and I visited last night and were immediately struck by the brightness of the restaurant, the cold and the eerie quiet and complete lack of atmosphere. It felt like a doctor’s waiting room minus the magazines on the table. It took 20 minutes to order drinks and the food took an hour to arrive. The food was ok but not befitting of the price tag. In fairness, we spotted the warning signs immediately upon arrival and should’ve left before we ordered drinks. The restaurant was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, at one point I burped and three other guests turned around in disgust. In my defence I thought I’d been very quiet and discreet but this just emphasises the lack of atmosphere and quiet. It was also very cold and the vibe of the interior reminded me of a garden shed. It’s such a shame because this has so much potential, but it feels like the owners have just given up. My wife also commented on the lack of cleanliness and the state of the toilets, which seem to be consistent themes reading other reviews. I would love to be able to come back here in the future but major changes are needed and I feel things have slipped too far. These negative reviews should provide a much needed wake up call for the owners. Dundee needs more of these types of places, more innovation and diversity, but this is sorely missing the mark.

The waiters were fine and polite when we walked in. There was a long wait for our food to arrive. My gyozas were good and ramen was okay. My son's salmon was average and he ordered the spicy chicken Ramen which he could not eat as it was too hot. We asked for a replacement and were told this was okay as long as we paid for it. We ordered desserts which were average. I found the toilets to be unclean and lacking toilet paper. Lots of customers looking like they were waiting a long time for there food. An average experience with a limited menu.

The worst Japanese food i had ever had in my whole life. When we arrived, the waiter brought us to table real quick, which is good. The environment looks nice, the atmosphere is good as well. The food takes ~20mins to come, which is acceptable. Food is terrible tho. The fundamental of sushi, vinegar in pearl rice, none. They used normal rice for sushi, the rice are wet and fall apart when picking up. Then, they used egg noodles for ramen, which I don't think it can be called ramen. The noodle was soggy and the soup tasted horrible. When it goes to the tempura donburi, I can never think of a broccoli tempura is even exist in the world. The tempura sauce, which is not actually, is soya sauce only. At the end it takes about £60 for the dinner, around £20 per set. Overall, the only star is for atmosphere, the quality didn't meet the price. They really owe Japanese an apology. Absolutely not recommended if looking for good quality japanese food.

Ramen was really good but everything else was a dissapoinment. Dessert had flavoured of wasabi instead of choclate. The dish was dirty or kitchen staff disnt not switch its gloves before serving. Warm beer and green tea from tea bag topped it of :( I would not come back.

Brought my girlfriend here for dinner on her birthday as she has a degree in Japanese and has always really enjoyed the culture and food. We were seated at a gorgeous marble table with comfortable chairs. Soft music was playing and the atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. The servers were incredibly attentive and polite. I've noticed that some have given negative reviews due to the time it takes for the food to arrive and this is true - service isn't quick and if we had made plans for after the meal perhaps then it would have been an issue. However, we had no plans and got to enjoy some time together to talk and enjoy drinks as we waited on our dinner. We were in no rush, but in any case, the food was entirely worth the wait. Our dishes were obviously made fresh and with great care and attention to detail. Generous portions, beautiful flavours and visually stunning. Often times in restaurants I've found fast service takes precedence over food quality - no doubt a result of customers clamouring for instant gratification and venues itching for fast customer turnover. In contrast, this felt like a calming oasis where good conversation, atmosphere and food made our dinner an experience in and of itself. We had a delightful time and were highly impressed. Thank you Oshibori for a perfect birthday treat for my partner!

Dissapointing and overpriced. Restaurant was run down, wallpaper off walls cold and quiet, no atmosphere. We asked for the hearing to be turned on and they said it’s on full blast. Food was bland and another dish too salty couldn’t finish it. Cannot fault the servers they were lovely. Wouldn’t waste your time coming here.

I took my family for what I thought was going to be a lovely Japanese experience, it was incredibly disappointing. Two young men were there when we arrived and did extremely well but had no help or leadership, the decor was anything but Japanese more like a garden shed, as my five year old granddaughter said, and it could be a lot cleaner. The food was the saving grace it was good but after a visit to the ladies room I was worried as I don’t think I have ever been in a toilet quite as dirty before. Really a very disappointing experience and we certainly won’t be back. I must stress however that the two young men were polite and tried to please.

Been here for years... highly recommend for anyone fancy Japanese cuisine this is the best place I've ever been for dinner ...food was very delicious & fresh really high standard wonder who made the hot food ? must be so talented chef , staff were friendly. The food was just excellent, superb Ramen, starters and deserts. Staff were nice and attentive. The interior is fun and different. One star off on atmosphere as it was a wee bit cold in the restaurant. But will be back - for sure.

Service was very slow and we were the only table. We waited almost an hour for our food. Food quality was only slight better than a takeaway. When the bill arrived it was more than we expected with 10% service charge. Needless to say we wouldn't hurry back.

The Katsu Curry Bento was supposed to have Tofu but instead had what seemed to be a potato based veggie burger in curry. It was still quite nice but would have appreciated a quick call to explain I wouldn't be getting what I ordered. Everything else in the box and the other dish were AMAZING and I'll definitely be giving it another try. They obviously know how to cook great food. Was also delivered 45 minutes late.

A chilly restaurant with mixed quality of food. Some bits were good (fried salmon) while others (nigiri and sashimi) suffered from an overwhelming seasoning of sesame oil. I'm a big fan of it normally but not in these quantities. Interior of the restaurant is very cool, service was fine, but wouldn't go back purely because the food wasn't great and most things over-seasoned.

A bit underwhelmed.. was looking forward to a bit of Japanese cuisine in Dundee ... the restaurant itself is a bit rough around the edges decoration and wall paper coming off.. on top of this it was very cold inside the restaurant. The server was very friendly and helpful however the food took over 30 minutes to arrive and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. My partner ordered ramen and I ordered a chicken katsu Bento box . The Bento box was ok and my partner enjoyed his ramen ... Overall I won't be returning to Oshiburis, I thought the price was quite steep for the quality and setting of the place.

The wait is slow, I had to make eye contact 5 times before they came over to take my order. The food itself is very nice, I had the sushi platter, the wasabi is of good standard likewise the ginger, the salmon is also pretty fresh as well as the tuna, I had the California rolls, they were nice but I’ve had better, the rice was slightly hard, everyone prefers soft sticky rice, the cucumber on the side for garnishing was old, the presentation of the food itself is good, the tables are sturdy and it’s a very nice environment to have food in.

The service was exceptionally slow. We waited for over an hour before receiving our orders. It's understandable to have some waiting time during busy hours, but this delay was excessive and unacceptable. Unfortunately, food wasn’t great either. What’s happening in the kitchen?? If you have half a day to waste, then by all means. If not, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place. First and last time.

Food took 1 hour to come and there was a mistake in the order and we had to wait even longer. The waiters were all good but whats going on in the kitchen??

Had lunch here on Friday, very tasty and staff super friendly. Talked about the Game of Thrones room and garden decor which was very cool! Thank you. Certainly the best Japanese food in Dundee

Food took 50mn, quality was well below average and the ramen stock was suspiciously too white. Friendly service, though was clearly overworked as the only staff on premises. Atmosphere was good only to be let down by the food.

The food was very tasty but as other reviews suggest, it was very salty. Good quality though. Service was quite slow from ordering to receiving food but the staff were friendly and accommodating.

I have previously been here a few years ago and it was nice, the service was prompt and food was good, however returning recently there must have been a huge change of management. The food took about 1 and 1/2 hours to come after ordering, which is much slowly than a few years ago, and all the dishes are different from what they were, a drop in quality in my opinion. To top it off the waiting staff didn’t seem to know any dish names and weren’t able to provide us with spoons as they couldn’t find any. Disappointed in the decline of the restaurant, the food is still decent, but maybe not worth the over an hour wait

I recently visited Oshibori Dundee to celebrate a friend's birthday, and I must say, our experience left us feeling quite disappointed. As first-time visitors, we were excited to try out this restaurant, given its glamorous appearance. However, our initial impressions quickly faded as we encountered several issues throughout the evening. Upon arrival, we found that there was no host to greet us, so we approached the bartender to inquire about our reservation. Eventually, we were seated at our reserved table and handed menus. However, it took a staggering 20 minutes for a waiter to come and take our order, which immediately set the tone for the slow service to follow. After 50 minutes, our alcoholic drinks finally arrived, but we were promised water that never materialized. We had to remind the waiter multiple times, and it took an additional 10 minutes before we received it. By this point, we had been waiting for an hour and had yet to see any sign of our food. What frustrated us even more was that tables that arrived after us were served their meals before us. When we raised our concerns with the manager, we were informed that those tables had preordered their food. While it's understandable that preorders might take priority, it left us questioning why our status as paying customers was seemingly disregarded. It took a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes before our food finally arrived, which was an incredibly long wait. While the quality of the food was good, the overall experience was tainted by the excessive waiting time. To make matters worse, no compensation was offered for the poor service we endured. Considering the high prices charged at Oshibori Dundee, we expected much better treatment as paying customers. Regrettably, our evening was spoiled, and we left feeling let down. Furthermore, I would like to add that our disappointment with Oshibori Dundee extended beyond the service and waiting time. We encountered additional inconveniences during our visit. The restroom facilities lacked basic amenities such as hot water and even toilet paper. It was quite surprising and frustrating to find such shortcomings in a supposedly upscale establishment. These issues further contributed to our overall negative experience at Oshibori Dundee. Based on our experience, we have no plans to return to Oshibori Dundee in the future. The slow service, lack of communication, and overall disappointment overshadowed the positive aspects of the food and ambiance.

The best restaurant I’ve experienced in Dundee and I’ve tried most. It’s not just the best in Dundee, the meal I had here was as good as the best I’ve had…. And I’m pretty old! Ordered the salmon sushi platter, the salmon was pure velvet, the flavours, I’m not going to forget. We then had another sushi, I forget the name, was a kind of katsu and avocado. It was dressed with the beautiful sauce and the flavours were so deep, complex and thoroughly delicious. You know you’ve had something special when you’re still thinking about it the next day and beyond. I would recommend to everyone, especially if you’re a sushi fan or noob because there simply isn’t better in Dundee

I wanted to eat sushi all the time during my pregnancy so we came to try best sushi but it was awful, tasted like from Lidl. Waitress didn’t had any clue what is going on. People who came before us was waiting their food for 2 hours, we were waiting more then hour… horrible service.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. For this money I would better go somewhere else.. disappointed.. waste of money.. and service soooo poor.. 1/10 never come back and now I don’t like sushi..

It's about as good as sushi gets for Dundee however there are some fun concoctions in the Chef's selection.

Lovely food as always. Unfortunately I found the service to be a bit slow (although we were the only people in the restaurant) and I had to leave before my dessert arrived. Judging by previous occasions though it is a wonderful place for a meal with a lovely atmosphere and decor.

Excellent food and location if you sit out in the gardens. Quite expensive but a jewel in Dundee.

It's truly a horror show. I was the only one in the restaurant and service was still slow. I got a scolding hot (Sake should be no higher than 45C) sake and a flat coke. This was followed by a disappointly dumped on a plate soft shell crab tempora, underseasoned and tasted frozen. Before i had even finished this a grand tray of two whole skewers (Sarcasm) was brought out with an inedible flowers which is against the law to serve with, a sea shell coated in sauce, overcooked rice, and mediocre chicken. £60 for this complete mess. No point in complaining go the teenager in charge just vote with your feat which is what everyone else seems to have done. Genuinely the worst dining experience ive ever had.
