There is something wrong here, rarely have I been served by staff who seem this dis-interested in customer service. However, the cinnamon swirl did succeed in being very dry/stale.

Gets a bit busy as is at a retail park. You can get the no 6 bus and walk there instead of using your car. Way too many cars going to the retail parks at weekends even on a Sunday.

Food quality was very poor. The pastries were dry and didn't taste fresh at all, even my favorite, tomato mozzarella panini, was dry and lacking freshness, despite being warmed up. As for the coffee, I ordered a mocha, but it tasted more like a homemade hot chocolate, far from what I get everytime from ussual Starbucks branches. The cleanliness of the place was very bad. It was so dirty under the tables, which made the overall experience even worse. I wouldn't recommend this place based on my visit.

Customer service really needs to be reviewed and the staff need re training, the girl taking our order had nothing about her, not even a smile and wasn't sure if she had taken our order right!!! The place is filthy, tables not cleared and dread to think what state the toilet facilities are in. Needless to say we won't be coming back!!!

Staff were so rude, there was no white sugar, I asked the lady behind the counter, first off she said it’s there, I pointed out it was not! she rolled her eyes and went and got the supervisor, she explained, we’ve got brown sugar, you’ll have to make do! A few lessons in customer service maybe, very rude! I’ll never go back and recommend you don’t shop here! 😬😬

Don’t know how nothing has been done to change this place. Unfriendly staff, with long waiting times and just stand around chatting rather than actioning orders. They had ran out of every milk apart from skimmed and put a 10 minute waiting time on the queue while staff stood around again laughing and chatting. All the other recent negative reviews confirm all of this. This piece of rubbish needs to be taken out

I would not even give one star. Poor customer service, gave drinks to lady that came after me and should have given my drink before her as I’d been waiting longest. The young lad said cheekily said, cold drinks take longer to make than hot ones and I came over to help. Not very clean here to be honest, floor is filthy, I dread to think what the toilets are like. Tables need to be cleaned and cleared. Que is out the door, very slow service and not to friendly either, behind the counter we noticed the hot tap was just left on wasting lots of hot water.

Pleasant environment for a busy retail park, always the same regulars when I'm in there so it must be good. A well-run, friendly, relaxed-environment store.

I’ve been to many Starbucks in the UK and around the world and this is by far the best. The staff are amazing, they make the effort to remember people’s name and order. Always a warm welcome with a hello. The service is fast and efficient, even at busy periods they work hard to get the drinks out to the customers. The food is of a high quality as are the products you can buy, like cups and coffee pods. Highly recommended to get your coffee fix!

I’m leaving 4 start for service because they are two people on the Starbucks that can make a chai latte with the options I want. And I’m not picky it is just available to choose your way for drink to make in the app. Charlie who is the supervisor of the Starbucks is absolute legend. She always cares about the clients and how they feel about them drink. Encouraging you to say if something isn’t right.

Not up to Starbucks' normal reasonable standards. Slow service by largely unfriendly, apathetic staff. Tables were filthy and not being cleared by staff; both I and other customers had to clear tables to find somewhere to sit. I absolutely don't blame individual members of the team for the poor experience; this is a lack of training and expectation setting from whoever manages this store. Ok for takeaway but M&S Cafe around the corner is a significantly better experience if you want to sit down and cheaper too.

Rude staff, stood around chatting whilst people waiting to be served, what i assume was a manageress looking like she hated her job and life, no trace of a smile. The server was more interested in making sure her family got free sandwiches it seemed. Finally served after 15 mins to then pay over the top prices, and join the next queue to actually get what you paid for. When it did arrive it was nothing like the picture and god forbid you question that as you get told you have to ask for it to look like the picture. Totally appalling experience and will never go back there again. Do not be fooled into spending your money here.

This is by far the best Starbucks I have been to locally. The staff are always pleasant and serve with a smile. I went in today and the team consisted of Natalie, Charlie, Holly and Cassie. They were busy but they still take time to have a conversation with you while they take your order. They are friendly, helpful and happy. Keep up the awesome work 👏👏👏

A very poor service experience (and not for the first time). I am a regular Starbucks customer and usually find the service, consistency and taste of coffee to be great. At this particular Starbucks the staff are very inattentive (to the point of being rude) and slow to serve. On quite a few occasions I have stood there waiting for several minutes while they have stood there chatting, completely disregarding the presence of any customers.

I visit Starbucks in Shirley on a regular basis and normally it’s great but the last two times and especially today the service was shocking. Me and my friend ordered our drinks and then we’re stood around for ages for them to be made. Staff were talking among themselves and not making our drinks. I had to ask how long, first I got ignored then got a reply when I asked again. The girl who eventually gave us our drinks said “here you go” not even an apology for the delay. It’s a lovely Starbucks but they need to get the right staff and who aren’t lazy and rude.

Went over with my cousin. We had drinks, I really wanted a butter croissant, which was in the display. The last refused to serve me the croissant because it was there for the morning customers apparently! Why pit something on display if you aren't going to serve it? If i could give 0 stars i would. The staff didnt seem to care. Almost all tables covered with dirty dishes and rubbish from previous customers and the outside seating looked like it hadnt been wiped all day. There was only one person serving and making drinks, whilst the other worker (yes doing date checking and prepping magic bags) didnt jump on the till to at least help serve until there were 5 other people in the queue before continuing with what she was doing. Behind the counter was littered with rubbish, sticky counter tops and they had left, i presume, the syrup for the dragon fruit drink in open cups on the side where customers collect their drinks. The female worker kept running her hands through her hair (which only the top half was tied up) and touching her face, whilst making drinks and handeling food. This store is supposed to have a 5 hygiene rating and just looking at the store, i find that hard to believe. This is the 3rd time in a row they have messed up my drinks order for myself and my partner. Every experience ive had in this store has been disappointing given the expectations ive come to have from other starbucks stores.

No one can make better coffee than Starbucks. There’ the most expensive coffee in the world called Kopi Luwak and it must better be good. But I am happy with my Latte with extra shot at Starbucks. Baristas are definitely good but coffee machines also make reasonably tasty coffee. So all in all, thumbs up 👍.

Great coffee however can’t say it was service with a smile. 2 staff and one that I assume was training, looked absolutely miserable. The blonde girl who took my order, one small coffee, was polite but the girl with the black hair…. Nothing, didn’t even say ‘ here’s your coffee’ just slammed it on the counter in front of me then stepped back and lent on the counter top behind her! Atmosphere between staff appeared tense. They can’t even use the excuse they were ‘rushed off their feet’ only around 15 people in there. Won’t be going back in there again, I’d rather go to subway a couple of feet away. Manners don’t cost anything but obviously not all the staff here understands that!

Don't do it to yourself! Save your money and likely miserable experience and go to decent coffee place. I waited over half an hour for a drink, it tasted horrible. I asked politely for it to be made again, as the sign advises. You would have thought I'd asked something inappropriate given the shocking attitude from the member of staff. They literally threw the milk around, slammed down cups repeatedly, kept tutting and muttering continuously - it was an embarrassment. I couldn't stay any longer so asked for a refund. I got short changed by £1 because they couldn't remember 'how' they charged me. Note for the future; always ask for a receipt! Obviously, this is a note for other shops as I would never enter this or probably any other Starbucks again.

A very shocking visit today. We arrived and promptly ordered 2 take away drinks. There was 1 person in front of us waiting for their drinks. It was clear there was a young girl with glasses who was new or in training and she was the only one preparing drinks in a team of 5. We watched as more customers came in, orders taken and then 2 girls walked out the back in conversation laughing. A third girl with the badge ‘Charlie’ looked like she wanted to join them (there are more customers now waiting at this point) and she then took a strip of stickers that were coffee orders (around 6), gave them to the only girl working at this point and said “I’ve got a present for you”, laughed and walked out the back to join her friends. It was very obvious behaviour so I timed how long she was gone and it was 7 minutes. The other 2 young girls didn’t return. I’m the meantime an older ethic lady was taking orders and clearing a very messy display/working area whilst the coffee maker was clearly struggling. I knew we would be in for a wait. I counted 12 of us waiting for drinks with only 1 person to make them. When “Charlie” returned, clearly she wasn’t on break she then shouted with aggression what people were waiting at the entrance for and informed that the queue was to the left. A few then responded saying that they did mobile phone orders and I think she realised that things were not in hand. She then took ticket after ticket and out of a machine and just handed them to the only girl making drinks and it appeared like she was telling her off for being slow. It was so uncomfortable to see. I really wanted to say something it was so unfair. “Charlie” then left the girl with the tickets and started to steam milk. Then to my amazement got her phone out of her pocket, looked at it, turned the milk off and then went back out the back - possibly to send a text or make a call. When she returned she didn’t even go back to the milk she had started to steam, instead went back to the girl who was on her third iced coffee at this point and still telling her what to do and not helping. Finally she then wiped her nose with her hand and continued back to the milk steamer to prepare and handle people’s drinks. Now it may seem I’m nit picking but as we were stood there at length we had nowhere else to look and it was just unbelievable and unnecessary. I suppose it is easy to look busy than be busy. Coffee was nice. 5 star to the maker.

Not only were all available tables filthy and full of cups and plates, but the insolent supervisor became hostile and even took my drink that id paid for when I politely asked for a table to be cleaned and pointed out that clearing tables should come before serving more customers, otherwise where are the customers going to sit!? Horrible, the customer service because when I went to the toilet the staff lady told me to hurry up because I was taking too long but the toilets were a mess and she kept banging when I was peacefully minding my own business. That same lady started shouting my name halfway across the room, saying I had another drink by then I was confused then and I realized that I had the wrong drink, then I drank the other drink. Then I realized that the other drink had dairy when I asked for no dairy because of my dietary restrictions; then I ended up with red spots on my face and a burning hot face. But when I took a sip of my actual drink, the mocha had nuts in it, which made my allergic reaction a lot worst. So in the end I was fine but would never go again.

They were all out the back somewhere whilst tables were left uncleaned and covered in cups and plates left from previous customers. My partner and I had to clear our own table - moving 4 mugs and 2 plates, and other tables were covered with dirty cups and plates and leftover food/drinks. Multiple customers came in after us and had to sit at tables where they had not been cleaned after the previous customers. The staff at times could be seen just standing at the counter (no customers to serve) staring into space and avoiding cleaning up the mess, or chatting with one another but not working/doing anything. Big let down in what would otherwise be a nice place to go for good coffee. It took over a whole hour of us being there before anyone came out and cleaned the tables that were already dirty when we'd arrived. Have management forgotten to train their staff around the cleaning and hygiene of their store?

Normally their chai latte are lovely but it tested disgusting very weak and looked like their wasn't any chai in there. Customer Services is terrible and shocking. Will not be going back there. I forgot to take photos.

A good coffee shop right where you need it. After a long shopping at your favourite area, it is a ace to sip a cuppa and relax. The lady made some excellent coffee today and it makes you want to go back for more. The ambience is also good. Update: The egg bits with cheese and ham is a must try. With the new seasonal coffees and hot chocolate, one would wonder where the money went... ;)

The staff were very busy with I presume online orders as the queue wasn't that bad but it was within a late working day lunchtime, a lady behind me got annoyed and made it clear to the staff, she was obviously in a rush whereby I wasn't on this occasion. On being served I was greeted politely and informed of the new hot drinks menu, I was friendly in return and my drinks to take a way were made within a reasonable time.

The sheer incompetence and laziness of the staff here is staggering. 0 structure and 0 staff training. Every order takes 10mins due to either not knowing how to operate the till or not getting the scanner to work. The pace at which they work is also shocking. Often they would even have a queue and just staff sitting there looking into the abis doing absolutely nothing. This place can surely be a case study somewhere. The only thing keeping them afloat is the brand name but that won’t be forever. Place is clean and well furnished/designed hence the 2 stars.

Totally chaotic today. Did a mobile order just round the corner; waited for ages and then asked how it was getting on. They then told me that the printer wasn't working but there was nothing to indicate this at the pick-up counter. Showed them my order but they got it wrong and had to do it a second time. Also whilst I had specified 'eat in' on the app, they served it as a take-away. Ironically I would have changed it anyway as I had waited so long and had to get back.Meanwhile somebody came to the counter to complain that whilst the first drinks of the order had arrived ten minutes ago she was still waiting for the rest. Other similar things were happening with customers. When they got it sorted the drink and hot croissant were OK so can't complain about that but the service was awful.

We had a stop over in Hockley on the way to the York half. Friendly barman found us a table with a smile. Food was excellent; lamb rump served as it should, pink. Perfect veg. Washed down with a well kept Timmy Taylor. On return trip we had a Sunday lunch of roast beef which was great. Not sure what the stuffing ball was for? Homemade Yorkshire pudding 10/10. Highly recommended and the adjacent tow path makes for a good cycle route. Handy for Baddesley Clinton National Trust property.
