Starbucks in City of London, Westminster

Maybe I was lucky but I had a good experience. My americano was perfect. Service was good, staff were pleasant but could be friendlier. Nice branch, looks very new. My difference between a 4 and 5 rating is given the busy location, there are not that many seats. The branch could be cleaner too. Would recommend otherwise.

I was here last night and to be honest I felt like I was annoying cause I was asking so many questions and I was so indecisive (they did not make me feel like this at all tho, they made me feel very comfortable)! The cashier helped me and I didn’t like my order cause she made me a new drink! I appreciate it so so much! The workers I interacted with were so incredibly nice. Bless their hearts! Their kindness touched my heart!! Thank you again!

On Sunday 5th February 2023 at Starbucks 66 Wardour Street, London W1F 0TA, at 9:30am I ordered 3x Verde hot chocolates and requested it served in a mugs rather than a takeaway disposable cup. I was advised by Ms. Ligia - the supervisor, that the dishwasher was broken and she could not serve the drinks in a mug but only in takeaway cups. She explained that she cannot wash it by hand as the rule book stated this. We explained that the dishwasher not working was not a fault of the customer and we even offered to wash our cups after use. She refused this. We then explained that 2 of the elderly customers hands were not very nimble and needed mugs with handles. Only then did she provide 2x mugs and 1x takeaway mug. I asked for the supervisors name which she spelt out to me that it was Ligia. When I showed her my phone whether it was spelt correctly, she took the phone off me and deleted her name!!! I was astonished. I asked her why she did this and she said she didn’t have to give out her name. I asked Ms. Ligia whether she was the manager, she confirmed she was the supervisor. She then proceeded to speak to me in a loud voice asking why I wanted her name? I told her that I was going to complain about her service. I returned to my seat. After a couple of minutes, Ms. Ligia came over to our table and asked for my name. I refused to give it to her. At this point, she became very loud, rude and challenging. She did not deliberately care that her loud voice was heard throughout the whole shop. Ms Ligia felt because I had her name and she should have a right to know mine. I told her that I am a customer and have a right to know her name as her service was so poor and I had a right to raise this with Starbucks Head Office. Ms. Ligia towered over me and shouted at me in front of the entire store with approx 20 customers, “you know my name, I have a right to know yours. Customers aren’t always right. I gave you my name, you HAVE to give me yours.” I am a grown adult who was very discreet with my intentions to request my complaint be handled fairly and impartially. Not only was my request shut down but I was made to feel intimidated, bullied and be shouted at. I told her politely “No, I will not tell you my name. If you want to know, please check from the purchase I made.” I visit this Starbucks branch on 66 Wardour Street W1F 0TF weekly on Sunday mornings’ and have witnessed Ms. Ligia having altercations with other customers. Quite recently, a customer visited the branch with silver coins wanting to buy a hot beverage. It was extremely cold and London just had a fresh coat of snow. She refused to serve and take his money as she said she had the right to refuse money that exceeded a certain amount of coins. The customer just wanted a hot drink and shelter from the outside snow. Ms Ligia threatened to call the police if he did not leave the shop. The poor man left angrily and extremely unhappy that he was treated in such a horrible manner. Some member of the customer actually commented she could of just taken his money but she was adamant her decision was correct. Add insult to injury, Ms Ligia actually called the police and when they arrived she played the defenceless, vulnerable victim. Where it was her who told the man to “Get the hell out of my shop”. I feel so bad I did not intervene on behalf of the man but I was actually too scared of her. Today, Ms. Ligia has made me feel extremely upset, humiliated and angry with today’s experience. Without a working dishwasher should not be a reason why drinks cannot be served in a mug, especially when there were 20 clean mugs ready to use. It’s bone idle laziness that she refuses to wash them by hand. Secondly, I have a right to know her name and position in the company to raise a reasonable complaint regarding her service. Next, Ms. Ligia had no right to take my phone and delete her name from my phone. Finally, Ms. Ligia certainly crossed the line when she approached me and my family at our table, towered over me, invaded our private space and demand to know my name and proceeded to shout out her demands knowingly to create an ugly scene in front of the entire store of approximately 20 other customers. Everyone was staring, witnessing and heard the altercation. I am hugely embarrassed and intimidated by Ms. Ligia’s actions.

The worst customer service ever. All staff are lazy and they prefer to chat to each other than serve customers. Very unfriendly and full of attitude.

Been coming here since the start of the pandemic on a regular basis and every time my mood is lifted by an amazingly positive and happy bartender named Val. It really makes a difference to the start of the day! Just thought I’d share Regular at Wardour St

Bought a slice of Lemon cake last night from Starbucks in Soho. When I got back to my hotel, sat down with my coffee and the cake was so stale, I I threw it away.

Took a small Starbucks filter coffee for the road. Not piping hot but that was preferable at the time. Fairly indifferent service.

Better than many Starbucks, but nothing special. Quite a big unit, which once upon a time housed the first ever Chinese restaurant in Central London. Now it’s full of tourists and Soho locals. My peppermint tea was fine, but they really struggle to keep the place clean because of the volume of trade and the rapid turnover.

Not too crowed. Guess the timing was different. Had a business meeting there and was quite convenient.

Los starbucks estan por todas partes asi que si te apetece un batido estan buenos pero un poco caros. El cafe no me gusto

I have few words to say other than dirty, messy, toilets broken and disgusting, inefficient service. I can not recognize Starbucks quality and efficiency here... sad...

Located near China Town and in Soho, a good coffee shop. Standard Starbucks fare. Not huge, but this is London!

Stopped here for a quick coffee. There was nothing specially good or bad about this store. It was a typical Starbucks to be found just about anywhere. The coffee was fine - the usual strong variety - and the baristas were reasonably pleasant. No complaints.

después de un largo día de compras, decidió tomarse un descanso. restaurante lleno, clientela principalmente asiática, notó el intercambio de dinero, contra la ropa y sospecha de un lugar de apuestas también. chocolate caliente muy débil. precios altos y cereza en la torta NO Aseos. totalmente inaceptable

ordené un remolino cinematográfico al oído. La chica rubia que me servía era amistosa, pero parecía tener un plannet diferente al resto de nosotros. ella dejó caer mi remolino cinematográfico, en lugar de decir que lamentaba que estuviera riéndose históricamente durante un minuto. . Lo que lo empeoraba era que se reía de él frente a otro cliente que estaba a mi lado y que luego se echó a reír. Veo lo gracioso, pero vamos a ser profesional, no es tan gracioso. Luego pedí un café con leche de jengibre. . lo colocó a su lado y casi inestable, así que tuvo que quitárselo amablemente ya que estaba preocupada de que pudiera soltar eso.

I felt very humiliated! I entered the store (13/10 around 8:45) at 60-66 Wardour Street (same that I usually go almost everyday), instead of order, first I decided to use the toilet. I noticed that it was locked and than I asked if it was possible to use the toilet for one of the girls. She give me a bad face, said that toilets were just to customers and reacting like it was a favor that she was doing to me, she said in a sarcastic way ...."ok, I will let you use". In my entire life I never had this kind of treatment in a store. I'm very disappointed and surprised that for a company that spend a large amount of money in marketing loose customers because of a really insignificant detail. I think the girl need to change her job, she knows notting about customer service. She should choose another thing to do. It was really a pity, I was using my Starbucks card for more than 1 year! I'm very disappointed.

Came here at late hour. The service was fine, friendly and quick. The coffee is tasty and not expensive.

Realmente sucio y nadie del personal hablaba comprensible inglés. Basura por toda las mesas y no leche disponible hasta que pedimos. Buen trabajo el té es genial, de lo contrario nunca me gustaría volver. . .

Paramos aquí para algún servicio de desayuno y la comida era buena. El café siempre es genial. Me gusta la conexión rápida a internet y los discos de carga del entorno. Fue bien cuidado, etc. no hay mucho más que decir la verdad.

Rápido, servicio amable. Bien hecho y batidos bebidas calientes sabrosos. Buena selección de sandwiches y pasteles.

I love this coffee shop in the centre of soho the staff are always extremely attentive to the extent I had not visited for a couple of weeks and when I ordered my coffee the staff member remembered it from my previous visit. This is exceptional service great atmosphere friendly and attentive staff and good snacks with great coffee

O café espresso duplo é muito top. Tudo que eles servem merece o meu respeito! Os cookies são feitos diariamente e é algo fora do comum.

Igual que en cualquier lugar del mundo, no lo diferencia mas que la ubicación del café, de estilo americano.

Incuriosita da questa catena così famosa ho voluto fermarmi qui per fare colazione. Ammetto che non sono fan dei loro prodotti tipici, tipo frappuccino e altro perchè per me sono davvero stomachevoli, sia la mattina che il pomeriggio. Però devo dire che sono comunque rimasta soddisfatta delle mie "semplici" colazioni.

Ambiente hospitaleiro e atendimento otimo, bom para tomar um cafe e relaxar usando a internet do local.

Was quite busy when I was there. In the heart of Soho. It was quite warm in there. Friendly staff. Music too loud.

This is a very good branch of Starbucks. It is comfortable, relaxing and welcoming, but it is usually easy to get a table. Whenever I have have been in it has been a lot less busy than you would expect, given the very central location.
