I have to say, it is not 3 Michelin star bubbles and powders. It is just very simple, hearty, fresh ingredients cooked to their best. I have had the lamb deconstructed kebab, which was amazing for such a simple dish. Also it takes Turkish kebab out of those little shops and refines a bit. My wife had a quinoa taboulleh, she added seabass and it was all fresh and really tasted just great. You should be aware they are not claiming to be the pretentious fine diner, just a warm friendly place with comfort food.

We live locally and were so excited about a nice cafe/grill opening on the high street. They have everything going for them-great location, a wealthy customer base and limited competition. So much potential. But this place is terrible. I can just about live with being overcharged for basic home style food if service is good but service here is non existent. On our first trip it took half an hour to be served, and the second took so long we just left, regardless of how tempting it is to pay the best part of £20 for a piece of grilled salmon and salad! We also tried ordering from them on Deliveroo but the order failed due to 'lack of ingredients' and not only did they not contact me but they didn't pick up the phone on several attempts. Not a word of apology has followed. I can't recommend avoiding this place enough. What a shame

Bought a large takeaway box of 3 salads. couscous, squash and cauliflower. I was put off buying the hot meat option as it was uncovered and had been kept warm for an extended period and i didn't what to risk it. All three salads tasted overpoweringly of chili and neither my husband or I could finish them. I was thinking of trying the restaurant but will not now be doing so.

As you'd expect the prices on the High Street will be pricey. The coffees we had were great but the thin slice of cake for almost £6 was shocking. Service was good and we loved the warm atmosphere. We will probably go back for a coffee if visiting the area again ☺

Megan's is very well decorated, it is calm and peaceful, yet not boring. The service is quite effective and the waitresses are very polite and professional, and still were very nice. Also, a pianist came to play and sing and it was delightful.Nonetheless, my friends and I were rather disappointed by the tapas we took with our bottle of wine. It was a little expensive for not much and clearly lacked flavour. If it solves this issue - do simpler things but make them well - Megan's really can become an awesome place to go to.

Quite attractive ambience with lots of ceiling lights, candle and plastic flowers but somewhat too dim to read by. Waitress charming but found Menu more geared to Rugby/Football Clubs. Ordered crab croquettes and they absolutely tasteless, although I did sense a few strands of crab. As I am not a steak eater ordered chicken and roast vegetable skewers; but was very disappointed as the vegetables were not roasted and very bland and flabby. The chicken was far too spicy to taste anything else. The fritters were the best part of the meal as the Vanilla ice cream with Espresso turned out to be ice cream with some kind of candied fruit nod it was inedible. I asked the waitress what was in the ice cream and she said Mango; but it definitely was not Mango. In the end they deducted the price of the desserts from the bill; but it was still way too expensive for the uneaten meal in my view and I will not return. The wine was nice but cost a hefty £9 50 per glass. There are posters advertising free wine evenings and bring your Wine evenings and I suppose that if one drinks enough the food would not be noticed

We phoned and reserved an outside table facing St Johns High St but on arrival found it already occupied. As we were taken to a table in the side street a chilled bottle of Prosecco and 4 glasses were placed on the table with the Management's compliments as they had made a mistake. That's the way to ensure a customer's return! The food and service lived up to what we had been led to expect. Good on them!

6 of us were meeting there for a cool sunday brunch. I think it's a nice place in St John's wood which tend to lack of interesting choices, mostly composed of chains. Menu was nice and juices were excellent. They have several options for the menu, whether you like salads (you can tailor your own) or waffles. All come at a decent price (around £20 per person, for a starter and a main course + water). Their cakes are also really good, looking forward to the next one! On the less optimistic, service was a bit slow but nothing dramatic

There are some great wines here - not surprisingly, given that the list is written by the former Salt Yard group sommelier - but the list is too short to suit if you are a regular; hopefully they will expand it soon.. Gnarly Head Petite Syrah from California and Kung Fu Girl Riesling from Washington State are my favourites.I think the food is just right to accompany the wines, but perhaps this means that Megan's is more of a wine bar and less of a restaurant than it could be. That said, we love the Mediterranean platter and the steaks are good. The space is lovely and there are some secret nooks and crannies - on our last visit, as part of a large party, both the children and their parents enjoyed having their own areas to relax in.Service is uniformly charming, if sometimes a little unfocused. I am surprised that there does not appear to have been any wine service training, for example.A nice place to while away an afternoon or an evening, and a boon in an area that is surprisingly short on decent places to eat and drink, but with a longer wine list and a more ambitious food offering it could be so much more. Neither appear to have changed much since the place opened - perhaps it is time to turn the heat up a bit?

Visiting St Johns Wood. Approached staff for a table for coffee at 12:30 - this allowing them to place us accordingly. 2 adults and toddler. Waiter asked us to wait, went off and whispered to another waiter 'they only want coffee?!' And then another (more senior looking) staff offered to seat us and said would be straight back to take the order. We waited and we're just about to leave when order was taken. 2 kale juices, cappuccino with no chocolate and large sparkling. Juices were good, cappuccino had chocolate on top and water never arrived BUT we got charged for filtered charity sparkling water. Asked to be taken off bill so waitress deducted £1 but obviously doesn't know how to count as discretionary 12.5% service charge is calculated in total amount so she should have had the decency to ring up a new and correct bill. I left my partner to pay as I went to washroom. Stairs down need a clean and so does the whole bottom area. Won't recommend and won't go back. Oh and staff just don't smile - observed them during whole time seated.

Megan's is an absolutely excellent little place. Closest to a gastropub without the bar, it's a super choice for a relaxed meal in Chelsea. Two seating situations to aim for: the garden (covered in winter, I seem to recall), or the little individual raised dining room. Tremendous.

I visited Megan's at St. John's Wood on Wednesday to grab a bite to eat for lunch with my partner as we live in the area and thought we'd give Megan's a try. I had a salad and my partner had a burger. Both were amazing. The salad was fresh and flavoursome which came as a huge surprise considering most salads are normally quite plain but this seasonal salad was full of flavours! My partner had their house burger that the staff recommended. The meat was succulent and was cooked just as we asked. What really made this visit special was the service-it's extremely rare to find anywhere in the hospitality service that still knows how to really look after their customers and not just be commercial robots. We were greeted by one of the managers who was most accommodating. My waiter then took over and exceeded my service expectations. We left a £15 tip which normally we'd ever do to that extent but from that experience I think we found our new regular spot! Definitely a 5* restaurant.

I organised a small meal out with some friends for my birthday and a colleague of mine recommended Megan's and assured me it had a great atmosphere! We started with a Mediterranean board which was a sufficient starter for the 3 of us. A nice mixture of flavours and textures! I had the steak with thyme and peppercorn sauce- which was cooked just how I wanted it! One friend (vegetarian) had the grilled halloumi with veg and they highlighted that the dish was flavoursome and was filling. We all started our night with cocktails which were exciting, before following on with a bottle of red wine. The waiter guided us towards which wine we selected which complimented our meals and went down very well. Service throughout was to a great standard and I felt very looked after on my birthday. Many more nights wi be spent there!

We visited on Monday evening and the Reasturant was busy but not overcrowded. We were shown to our table and handed the menus. After a few minutes the waiter returned to order our drinks. We wee then given time to study the menu. My wife opted for steak and I went for the chicken kebab. Both were served hot and well presented. The steak was tasty and tender. The chicken was also tasty and plentiful. We certainly didn't have room for desert. We choose the house red which was very good and at around £20 a bottle very good value. All the staff were very pleasant and the decor is lovely. Some of the reviews I'm afraid don't show the same Reasturant that my wife and I visited. I opted for the 'megan' burger, along with fries, I was not disappointed, it tasted wonderful, it was the best burger I had eaten in a long time. The atmosphere was relaxing, so much so, I was nearly late for a meeting. I would fully recommend eating here, and will do so if ever in the area again. Went to Megan's in St Johns Wood for a local dinner the night of my birthday with my husband and kids. Ordered food and drinks. First we kept chasing our drinks. They took ages to come. Eventually they came. Then we chased the food. Slowly some of the food stared appearing. After some time, my husband went to find out where my daughter's food was as the waiters just kept repeating that it was coming She is 5 and was starving as it was already 8:30 at night. The lady replied that actually it wasnt coming - they were sold out! My husband asked why the waiters kept repeating it was coming when asked if it was sold out? We had been waiting ages. She replied 'So' rudely and didnt even apologise. It was very apparent that she really didnt care. Ive subsequently sent an email detailing above to their customer service. I havent had any response. In fact quite funnily I received a random reservation confirmation this week. The Irony. On the surface this eatery should be successful but it is grossly overpriced and the food is less than average.I object, vehemently, to platters of help yourself salads, small quiches, cooked cold salmon and chicken being on open display with people breathing, coughing and sneezing all over it. Notwithstanding it was a hot day so that food would go off.Add to that each salad was made up from canned ingredients and without any taste whatsoever. The salads looked good but were utter style over substance. As we wanted an all day breakfast - not offered after 11.30, we went for 'brunch'. Menus was small and choices difficult - trying to be too clever. We ordered Eggs Benedict which arrived cold was sat on soda bread not muffins and served with palma ham in place of a good, and preferred, piece of English ham. The Palma ham overpowered the dish and was the only flavour. The portion was minute. That, plus one coffee and one pot of tea and a bottle of their tap water came, somehow, to £40.PLUS, the window is festooned with pastries and cakes, some with cream. The sun shines directly into that section of sill. None of the cakes would survive direct heat. Whilst the cream cakes were moved to the bar, the others were left where they were. I pointed this out to a member of staff who calmly told me that they are changed daily. Hardly any use to someone wanting a piece of Lemon Drizzle on THAT day, only to received a dried out piece of sponge.Dreadful, amateurish and unprofessional cooking.

Attention to detail poor.Food came out and the waitress took it to the wrong table! Attention to detail!!I was underwhelmed by the food presented as it was all cooked on the grill it tasted the same. The whole experience was poor and then to be presented with a bill of £80 plus - £9 of which was a service charge was a joke. All in all it was a memorable dinner but for all the wrong reasons. If you are going to have a small evening menu then you need to do it well - I would say style over substance which is a shame.I won't be going again

Went to the Henry Holland for a drink with some work colleagues, first drink out in almost a year and we got seated upstairs. A group of 3 middle aged/elderly ladies sitting near us took offence to our volume and apparent high morale and reported to the landlord that one out or group flashed his penis ( didn’t happen) with one side of the story we were then refused service and the other party left the bar anyway. Bar staff were fine.Won’t be back tho.The also had CCTV that could have been checked but wasn’t.

The staff are very quick at delivering food/ beverages and the queueing time is short. However, I ordered a Jacket potato with cheese and it came without cheese; I told this to the server and he came back with my correct order but seemed a little off. Then I asked for some salt and he seemed irritated; like I was an inconvenience. I understand that they are busy but customers cannot accesss salt on a table; the server usually brings it with the meal. Nonetheless, the food was good.

I am a loyal starbucks customer for almost 8 years now. I always have my morning & afternoon coffee at Starbucks, wherever I am based at that moment. I have never seen any treatment as rudely as I was experiencing just a moment ago, around 4.10 pm at STARBUCKS 1-3 VILLIERS STREET (near Embankment Station). This one guy, literally shouted at me just because I need a STRAW !! Because he said he needed to change the cup cover. He did not say thank you, very not friendly, and rude. He did not even use his face covering properly. Very arrogant. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING at STARBUCKS 1-3 VILLIERS STREET.
