Starbucks in Cambridge

Like Cafe Nero nearby - this place is an absolute dump!! Rude male served me with scummy individual standing behind me with no mask on, breathing on me. When I told that individual to stand back, he said:- “What is wrong with you.” My friend said in 2018 when she went in there with me - “This place is such a dump!” She was right.

Visited today, thankfully they were open - as it seemed 2/3s of Cambridge was closed! I went in and asked for a Tall Filter, and the manager turned it on fresh for me, with no quibble. Not all stores do that. So top marks for that. I think it was Pike Place coffee. It wasnt' all that strong, hence not a 5 star, but the fact they took the trouble of turning it on, means a good 4 stars are deserved. And just a nod and showing my cup, let me have my free refills. I honestly don't know why Starbucks in the UK do not push Filter coffee. It's cheaper to make. Tastes better than Americano (by a country mile), and you get a free refill. Only other downside was that the leather chairs you see in some older photos were not there.. All wooden for some reason.

Disappointing that Starbucks would not accept cash payment today. Barista told me it's company policy. Starbucks your policy sucks!

Great service from the two girls working today, lovely drink from the barista and the girl on the till was extremely helpful with recommendations, explaining the drinks with detail and had a great attitude.

Queued for several minutes following all COVID appropriate measures inside and eventually ordered an americano with an extra shot. Good, typical Starbucks coffee – even got my name right too.

This is, well, a Starbucks. But even by those standards, this is below par. Much. It has what Starbucks have, that is that. And that is what you expect. But things tend to be slow here. The downstairs seating area is limited and not very pleasant. But there is a quieter upstairs. And, space and weather permitting, you can sit outside in the pedestrian zone - which can be nice if you don’t have chainsmoking noisemakers next to you. In short: there are mich better places for coffee nearby, just a few steps away - just walk down Burley Street. And those places even pay their taxes properly.

I dont expect any starbucks to be like this! Dirty, untidy, no mugs! Dirty cutlery on the floor, rubbish everywhere. What a disgrace. £10 on three drinks and no mugs left!!!! People sat around without drinks just watching their laptop or phone occupying tables and chairs. I sat in the shop for 30 mins and not once did the staff attempt to clear up. Not coming back here!

Visited here with family. Waited ages for a lukewarm drink, served in a paper cup despite asking to sit in.

Got order wrong in at least 2 ways. Eventually gave me stone cold filter coffee. Took 15 minutes to make another.

The place is dirty, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a day and arrived 30 minutes after opening, coffee ordered was like hot water. No sweeteners, cinnamon buns rock hard. Only positive thing was Becca who tried her best to rectify the issues. Will definitely not be coming back and will stick to costa coffee as they know how to get it right!

The coffee I had in there was lovely, however I wish I had taken it away because the place was quite dirty and I did not feel extremely comfortable sitting upstairs in the small space. However downstairs the tables where really messy, so unfortunately I had to sit upstairs. If the environment was more relaxing and as nice as the coffee I would of given a much higher rating.

This is not a pleasant place. Dirty floors, dirty tables, worn furniture. I visited early, soon after opening, so there's not really any excuse. And not the friendliest staff. I'm really surprised that one of the most profitable businesses on the high street couldn't invest a bit more in furniture, fittings and staff. A real disappointment.

Not great. Coffee and Cappuccino was not piping hot. Croissant wasnit piping and fruit toast was good. Place needed to be cleaned when we came at 11 am on a Friday. I would go to Cafe Nero nearby.

Came here with my boyfriend earlier this month to grab some breakfast and the staff was so nice and friendly! A nice store to relax and drink coffee in, especially in the morning

Not a regular but the coffee was good in this very busy venue . Pity staff were not on the ball keeping floors and tables clean . Also needs updating .

I usually avoid franchise stores such as these, but a few days ago I had my first trip to Starbucks, and I'm glad it was this one. I was served by a young girl, who I believe was called Sabrina, and she happily catered to me, making things as simple as possible. My experience was very enjoyable and I'm looking forward to my next trip there.

Staff wanted to talk a out their planned Christmas do. Didn't make my drink as he just wanted to chat. Chucked my drink down so he could resume his chat. Go to Patisserie next door great staff better customer service

After a couple of visits last month, the store looked an absolute state. I also noticed on the first visit a short lady speaking to 2 of her male colleagues like dirt, then disappearing for a while to return and continue. It looked like two male colleagues were struggling.

Stopped for a coffee Saturday morning. Not that busy so service good but actual place was filthy. Not enough cups for our order, floor full of dropped foods. Tables not cleared and looking behind the counter was filthy which is a shame

The shop was dirty , empty coffee cups left on tables eve though the place was well staffed , all the staff seemed interested in was smoking just by the front door , The drinks were ok but I dont intend returning

Not clean- had to clear a table ourselves. Ordered a small tea but was told they only had large cups but we would still get small tea- cup was filled so close to the top it was impossible to get enough milk in and then I spilt it over the stairs and my hand as it was so full! Not great choices of cold drinks for our children and there is nowhere except the table to put the discarded teabag- will not be coming back!

Not clean, coffee slow. Long dark haired lady behind counter, more interested in having a conversation with a friend, for 10 mins. Costa here i come

What is it Starbucks say? We try to get it perfect for the customer every time, or something? Well they miss by quite a wide margin with this branch. Ordered coffee and toasted cake for the three of us from an unsmiling waitress who seemed annoyed at our slight hesitancy about the size of coffee we wanted to order. Had to wait for one cake, which was subsequently delivered with such haste that it had barely hit the table before the waitress had spun on her heel and shot off, without a word. The one solitary toilet (notwithstanding a locked Disabled toilet ) is located upstairs and protected by a SIX DIGIT security keypad. Unfortunately, this ridiculous level of inconvenience is only made clear to the customer when you have climbed the stairs. Back down the stairs to obtain the code, on a small piece of paper - again dispatched by unsmiling waitress without a word. Upstairs to follow the entry instructions scrawled in black marker pen on the toilet door. Anyway, having punched in the code and rattled the handle for some minutes, someone shouts across from a nearby table that there is someone in there! At this point, I'm rapidly losing all hope and exit Starbucks to visit the scrupulously clean, free and open toilets at the shopping centre next door. Starbucks, this branch is so wrong.
