Starbucks in Cambridge

My husband and I visited this store on Sunday 26 feb. I waited in line to be served with just one customer behind me in the queue, the young man serving decided to serve the lady behind me first, I assumed he thought I was already being served so didn’t worry - these things happen, a second member of staff came back to the till along with another customer and asked me to step back out of the way, I am now in between the customer being served by the first member of staff and the customer that has been bought back with a payment query, so a bit squashed!! I did explain that I was just waiting to be served but again I was asked to move back out of the way - his exact words “ step back please madam”. First member of staff moves off to do something else, I’m still stood there like a lemon and feeling a bit cross, but eventually served by second staff member. We wait at the end of the serving area for our names to be barked out by a young lady preparing the drinks - I know they’re busy, I know they have to use short quick commands to get the job done quickly but we went there for a “chill out” cup of coffee. My name is barked out, we retrieve one cup but can’t tell if it’s the latte or hot chocolate we ordered so as she’s doing the next cup I just ask if that’s the latte one, without looking up or any pretence of politeness she’s just barks out “yup” and walks off. Seriously the rudest shop I have ever been in, 3 members of very rude, unprofessional staff!

Most expensive and worst cup of coffee ever. I recall drinking Camp Coffee after the war. It was, and still is, coffee essence, made from coffee and chicory. That was bad enough - this was worse.

On a day's visit to Cambridge, we stopped in the center of the city for a cup of coffee, which was good. It was interesting that they did not accept cash, but had to pay with a credit card. The establishment was fairly busy and like all Starbucks, restaurants is self service. Good experience.

Ordered a soya cappuccino and basically got an empty cup full of froth..when I questioned it I was told that's what a cappuccino is and to expect a cup of froth. I then went onto to argue that I have a cappuccino every day and although it has froth I at least get a something to actually drink.. they then replaced it..with something to drink.. but I didnt need the argument to be honest..it should have been replaced straight away..why would I want to wait for an extra 5 mins for another one.. the barista went on bang about making the coffee then more of less threw it at me.. she was rather annoyed and her customer service was..no existent.. won't use this starbucks again..

Their tea was very weak. Even the replacement which I appreciated was only slightly better. Coffee good.

I only gave one star as nil is not an option. This branch is letting the brand down badly. There is only one toilet and it in a shocking state. When I visited there was about ten people in the queue with one person taking orders and one barista they were both painfully slow! This is not good enough on a pre Xmas weekend. When I enquired why there was only one person in the till and another member of staff walking around with a clipboard counting biscuits! He just shrugged! He also seemed to have a problem when I wanted to sit in but have take away cups. This is not good enough service considering the money that place must make!

It's Starbucks so you know what to expected. The staff are generally friendly and helpful and the location very good and close to the main shops and dropping off points from the Park & Rides. Another Starbucks are available closeby. This is a busy coffee shop but many are 'take-away' so you can usually find a seat include 'outside' on the balcony (not open air). Staff can be a little slow clearing away and wiping down.

Hottest day of the year so far and got served pretty quickly but the barista was shocking waited nearly 20 minutes for a cappuccino , I would like to say it was worth the wait but no it was horrendous not good at all , first time in this store and will be the last time. Very disappointed

Coffee, was bitter service was not very client friendly for the price you paid not worth bothering I will not be going back again, even the pastry tasted days old. Really not a very nice experience, the are trading on a name, but every shop offers a different service this is one I will not be bothering with again.

Lots of staff. Not a lot of speed. No cold brew? No cream? Not the best example of a Starbucks. Needs management intervention urgently

After trying to battle with the crowds and horrendous service with Costa on ground level, we popped upstairs to find a much more comfortable Starbucks. Service was prompt and the sandwich selection well stocked. Nice background music. Overall for Starbucks recommended, nothing special but far better than the horrible Costa downstairs!

We had coffee and panini here on a Saturday afternoon. As usual they asked what name to put on the cups - I managed to avoid saying 'Costa' - but it made no difference as by the time they got to the pass they'd forgotten the name anyway, and I had to ask if they were indeed mine.

劍橋有很多間星巴克，至少以frappuc cino而言這間調得最好喝，但人也最多，繁忙時間至少要等十分鐘，店員亦不會靈活安排訓練新人的時間，在rush hour讓一個毫無經驗的店員接管cashier，讓等排時間大大加長，亦沒有為長時間等候作禮貌性道歉，希望貴店能安排得更妥當吧

It's never going to be a good start when you see the staff outside the café in their uniform having a cigarette then throwing the butt on the pavement. The Starbucks A-board is pathetically placed every morning in the middle of the pavement just waiting for a blind or disabled person or pram to jump over it. The staff on entering this former Blacks Camping and Leisure shop are no more enthusiastic than the toil to find an ashtray. You make a simple order of hot chocolate only, and you decline the additions they ask, such as whipped cream etc. Just hot chocolate. But nope, this is far too cerebrally challenging, as I watch the whipped cream and Marshmallows adorning the white mountain of cream. I then informed the said member of staff that they only, one minute ago, asked if I wanted that addition and I clearly 'said' NO. Unbelievable! This place is a must see!

Fairly standard Starbucks that had neither more nor less than any other I’ve been to lately. We struggled to find somewhere to sit due to all the single students that had commandeered a table for four for themselves and spread their course work across it - and not a coffee cup in sight. With the free wi-fi I guess it’s an attractive place for the free-loaders, but you should really look after your paying customers first.

Barista kept giving me the wrong drink despite me saying extremely clearly the specific coffee I'd like.

Nice friendly service from a brand who's products we are all mostly familiar with. Despite the lunch rush, the staff were able to cope and serve everyone in a timely manner. Can't help but notice that the mugs have got slightly smaller since my last visit to the franchise.

had a latte for breakfast this morning. not had a starbucks in a while now. wow! the bitterness knocked me back. It was a great wake up call! the service was quick and the staff were pleasant which is always a good sign of good service.

Hello all and especially the management team of Starbucks Cambridge situated in the grand arcade shopping centre.

This is a very good Starbucks and I would very much reccomend that people come and visit this store. Very friendly staff and delicious drinks. Keep an eye out for Saturday AM as sometimes there are coffee tastings.

This is located on level 2 of Grand Arcade. It can get busy and queue can be quite long. The staff can be quite slow when busy taking orders is quite tricky as can be quite loud.

I don't usually write reviews on chains or similars, but I just popped into Starbucks for a quick drink and got served by a girl called Maria who was so smiley and friendly that made me feel like coming back to this Starbucks every time I want a coffee :) just thought she deserved a word :)

いわゆるスターバックスです。お店の奥にトイレもあります。ただし、日中は買物客で混雑していますのでガラスの外から様子を見ると良いでしょう。

2nd Floor on the Grand Arcade. (First Floor for Europeans.) It has what you want. No surprises, its a starbucks.

went here for a breakfast to try and relax before taking my theory test and soon realised I'd made a huge mistake. Ordered a bacon roll - no butter and very dry meat. when this was ready, the 3 staff members who managed to actually outnumber the amount of customers in the store, propped my meal on a counter about 2 feet away from me and called my name. They clearly were not busy and stood around chatting and twiddling their thumbs, clearly not too busy to walk 2 steps to give me my overpriced meal. Realised I'd have to get up and leave my belongings to get it, got back to my table and realised had no ketchup. had to get up again to ask as was not offered. I understand it was morning, and quite boring as it was quiet but I have seen more enthusiastic roadkill than the staff here. Awful food, service that does not try at all, passed my theory and so luckily no reason for my to be revisiting.

Myself and my two daughters popped in here yesterday to fuel our day's shopping in Cambridge. BIG mistake!!

Friendly service with the standard Starbucks fare. Located on the first floor it has great views down the Grand Arcade malls.

If I have to go to a chain, I'll go to Starbucks. Their coffee is usually the same the world over, so it's a safe bet when there's no (better?) independent around.
