hot food on delivery, tasted delicious, better than I have ever had before from star kitchen, is there a new owner I wonder? whatever has improved it, keep it up

when i ordered my food on line,no sooner when i came off line my food was delivered,thankyou i will be ordering again soon.

The crispy duck was more soggy fat than crispy duck. I have complained to just eat but had no response. Sent a picture of amount of inedible food and no response. I wouldn’t order from STAR kitchen again and just eat should respond to complaints.

It’s alright, not the best. Spent almost £50 and not even a bag of prawn crackers. Way more expensive than other Chinese take aways so won’t be ordering again

I think what the cost was free prawn crackers would have been nice.

You can tell a good business when something goes wrong, our order came with 1 item wrong. I rang the restaurant and within minutes the correct item was delivered. Sometimes S&%t happens, it did they fixed it promptly. All good by me, food was great.

Always cooked to a exceptional standard can honestly recommend STAR KITCHEN.

Food was bland, egg fried rice very dry, and salt and chilli chicken smelt and tasted not right

Got a takeaway here the other night, got the butterfly king prawns, crispy shredded beef, sweet & sour chicken & yung chow fried rice. It doesn't deserve the terrible reviews on here in my opinion. Really nice Chinese. Only negative thing was the wait time, well over an hour think it was 1hr 45mins but apart from that it was really good.

The food was ok. There wasn’t as much duck meat as I usually get when ordering a 1/4 duck and there was a large proportion of fat. The crispy beef wasn’t crispy at all; it was a soggy batter.

Lovely; however, the veg dishes I ordered were nothing but water chestnuts. I was so disappointed as I’ve not had a bad meal ever from Star Kitchen. What was delivered was a total rip off. Such a shame.

I wouldn't come here again or recommend to anyone. I was in Shrewsbury for the weekend so I thought i would try here, I should've trusted the reviews. Staff were very unfriendly and rude, food was tasteless and only accepts cash, I never trust a business that only accepts cash 🚩

We were visiting our good friends this weekend in Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury, and we decided to order a Chinese meal. These guys did not disappoint!!! Roast Pork curry was to DIE FOR, the Chow Mein was FAULTLESS. Couldn’t give a 5 as I hardly ever do unless I get to compare locally, and the atmosphere wasn’t really measurable as it was a takeaway. I was a little surprised that there was no card payment option though. Definitely recommend to others!!!

Typically Star are spot on (as one of the cheapest & delivery via justeat in Shrews) was disappointed, uve changed ur pancake rolls & given the amount of money spent u couldnt throw in a free bag of prawn crackers? Return customers will look elsewher

Won't be ordering from them again while the customer service of the guy who answered the phone was great, I'm extremely unhappy with the overall experience. First delivery was covered in curry sauce so much so I had to call and get a replacement because everything was SMOTHERED with it. When the replacement was delivered, took afew mouthfuls before I pulled out a thick, long black hair! Absolutely lost my appetite! How disgusting! And considering I have short green hair, I can assure you it didn't come from me! £28 down the drain!

Meat in chow meins was not good at all. Spring rolls were not good either

The chicken and sweetcorn soup was far too sweet, the spare ribs were fatty and we received mini spring rolls instead of large ones. Overall very disappointed.

Extremely disappointed, would give 0 rate if I could. Food did not get delivered- £50 wasted. Driver lied saying that he had delivered to our address- restaurant took his word over the customers. Refused to give a refund. I will not be ordering again from star kitchen. Star Kitchen- you need to find more trustworthy drivers.

Such a disappointing meal. Sounded great on the menu but the fried rice was dry and bland. The duck in cashew nut had a horrid aftertaste and stank (the frozen baby carrots?). Salt n chilli chips appeared to just have a random few powders on them, no flavour or heat. Even the BBQ sauce was bland. Was not cheap either. Although ontime for the hour they allowed themselves, we will not order again. We are not new to ordering chinese food. Not being disrespectful, just honest. Gutted.

I knew I should of ordered from peking aroma! The food from here was OK nothing special. Singapore chow mein was so hot like it had chilli powder just thrown into it. Satay chicken was not the best I mean why it is that you batter the chicken, it would be so much nicer without the horrible batter and the sauce is well not satay sauce it tastes nothing like satay sauce. Spent £46 and don't even get a bag of free prawns crackers, come on they are actually pence to buy and nearly all Chinese takeaways give them away for free. Safe to say I will definitely not be ordering from here again. Oh yeah this will probably be followed buy a sarcastic comment from the owner as well.

Shocking, curry sauce was like gloop, special chow mein came in two dishes (noodles and meat and sauce) I suspect this is because they have a lot full of the sauce and meat and then also fry some noodles. Salt and chilli chicken wasn’t bad, ribs okay and chips felt old and dry. I’ve read reviews on here and normally ignore them but please don’t ignore this. Absolute waste of money and probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten in Shrewsbury.

When we fancy a Chinese we always order from star kitchen we trust them the food is lovely and hot and never any complaints. We have been ordering with star kitchen over the last four years and we have never had bad experience.

If you like MSG in your food then this is your place, every dish comes with extra MSG helping giving each dish the consistency of day old gravy, it’s so bad it destroys any taste or texture to the meat that’s in the dish Leaving you to look forward to a night of constant drinking of water to try and rehydrate yourself, A truly terrible eating experience
