Star Kebab in Gwynedd

I usually tip 10% when I spend between £20 to £30, and I give Star Kebab 5 stars for their generous portions, especially the Jumbo burger meal for £8.50, which usually includes triple patties. I enjoy it with salad and sweet chili sauce.

Ordered a large lamb sheish and a large chicken kebab. Can honestly say its the worse we have ever had. £15 down the drain! Their large portion is smaller than a small anywhere else. The chicken resembled the sole of my shoe....avoid at all cost.

Ordered the jumbo prawns , Mac and cheese and halloumi. The halloumi fries were okay, a bit rubbery but to be fair to them it might have been due to the time it takes to be delivered which is valid. But the "jumbo" prawns were absolutely tiny just a straight up lie, very little flavour either. All this could have been mostly forgiven but the Mac and cheese was one of the worst things I've ever tasted. Bits of gunky cheese splattered around a very liquidy sauce that tasted terrible, I'm not a fussy eater but that was hard to get through it must have been out of a tin/packet because no adult with a functioning brain could make Mac and cheese that bad. Would have been a rip off to charge 50p for that slop let alone the actual price it was.

poor food I was ill for days they don't seem to give a monkey about your food poor service, hygine looks very poor they don't wash their hands at any point when handling food

Terrible experience. I asked for a 12inch pizza plus naan bread and they asked for the money, so i paid straight away. Then after waiting for over 35 minutes they told me they have ran out of naan bread, and they handed me the pizza I ordered. I asked them if I can have my money back for the naan bread and they refused to answer my question and they kept asking me how much did I pay in total... it was just so rude that the man who served me didn't even apologise or give me my money back, instead I felt like he was testing me to see how much I paid in total.. which was irrelevant.. I just wanted the refund for the naan bread.

I phoned up and placed my order. Bang on an hour later I rang the kebab shop. Rang out on four occasions an "welcome to talk talk" terrible business that is staying alive due to how close it is to a night club. Kebab Shop? JOKE SHOP more like.

The staff are rude, and are dressed dirty. Ordered chips and cheese, the kebab shop worker put the cheese on my chips with dirty hands after handling money all night. Seeing this put me off my food.

I can honestly say that I don't often visit this place sober. Usually the first thing I think about when I'm heavily intoxicated on a night out during the weekend is food, which is more often than not synonymous with Star Kebab mainly due to their irresistible chicken nuggets and chips drowned in curry sauce. The value for money is good and the owner is nice enough. The only problem, is of course, unsavory characters during late hours of the night, but that's an inescapable nuisance regardless of which takeaway you choose. The place will always have a spot in my heart as being an integral part of all the good times I've experienced in Bangor whilst seeing double.

Now and again I visit this place. every time I have been there I have never had a bad meal. The large chicken kebab is a bit of a beast and add the very nice chilli and garlic sauce and it is a flavour burst. I have to admit it is not the most cosmetically the nicest looking place but as ever the service is very polite and no problems with language barriers. Another nice visit and I cannot seeing any other place in the area being my local kebab house.

After a night out this is definitely the place that you want to be eating at, chips and cheese and a margarita pizza are the way forward. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was 10/10 and the food tasted like Jesus had resurrected on my tongue. Well done Star Kebab, you are what makes the end of our nights worth it. Amen.

Drunk in need of food will eat anything hence the large queues at night. The staff member who deals with customers has the most annoying voice you will ever hear. Reasonably priced. Food is awful. Only staying open due to its close proximity to the local nightclub

Got a take away after a night out and you can tell they are use to dealing with drunks and people who don't care what they eat I had a well what can only be described as a runny chicken buger it was discussing but as I was hammer I ate that bad boy like it was my last meal.

We lived dawn the road and we was here every week or our weekly takeaway staff are friendly and food was yummy. We do recommend.

I am always ready to return to this place to get chips with my toddler son, always a friendly service and lovely chips, with plenty of tomato ketchup.

this is just your average kebab and pizza shop not one i go to to be onest but other people mite like it

Upon ordering staff were very unhelpful and seemed to feel that we were causing a hinderance by consulting with them regarding the menu. The food was very expensive for what you get, especially considering that there are other take-aways within walking distance who are significantly cheaper. The quality of the food itself was horrendous, with 2 different orders being dumped into the same poly-container. Most of the clientele were drunk, which explains why they didnt mind being ripped off by rude staff to get awful food. 1/10 would not eat again.

I visited this place at night and it was full of drunken idiots, who shoved me around and were generally abusive typical Bangor chavs. Not a nice place to buy food.
