Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is really tasty and I've been going more and more frequently kebab and pizzas are my favourites

Very disappointing based on other reviews. Ordered mini fish and chips with curry sauce. We got served immediately so food was not cooked fresh. The fish was not cod I think with thick batter and overcooked, not flaking or moist. The chips tasted like they had been sitting out, hence the quick service, so had gone dry. The curry sauce had very little curry taste. I get the impression ingredients are done on the cheap. The lady that served us was pleasant. It was a midday takeaway so not busy or much atmosphere.

The food is amazing, but when using Just Eat or Uber eats etc, they accept the order and only at the point of delivery it’s cancelled because it’s slightly too far. They should cancel the order or set proper boundaries so time isn’t wasted. Shame as the food really is great.

Not your usual fish n chip shop. Fish cooked to order outside of busy times. Kebabs and pizzas also sold, very high quality. Can get busy on a Friday evening, otherwise minimal queing.

Consistency & quality at the highest level. Never disappoints!

Won't be having any more fish from here. I have been so bad as the fish batter was undercooked. I am expecting feedback from the Owner.

The variety of foods they offer is very good, there is something for everyone. The service, food, quality and price is top notch. We look forward to the weekend to get our dinner from here.

Food is great but 2 hours to wait for your delivery is simply not good enough. They need to sort that out pronto.

Lovely clean premises, has constant footfall while it’s open. However, I was served relatively quickly (10 mins) for pizza and chips. Love the menu and the fact that it caters for vegetarian/vegan as well. Food was tasty as far as takeaway food is concerned. Well cooked chips, lovely and soft inside and yummy pizza with loads of Mazzorella. On the whole a well presented and well run takeaway. If I was to complain it would be that the staff could be friendlier. But I guess that’s a Birmingham thing!

Lovely friendly staff. Relatively short wait for our order. I had fish and chips, which I totally enjoyed and look forward to having again or trying something else on their large menu. The vegetarian options look appealing. The only downside. I was a little disappointed with the battered chips that needed a little seasoning (humble option) as a bit bland despite the colouring. The fish and its batter were beautiful

Always busy !! Exceptional service by Jasmine, Simran & Chanelle during the festive period. These three young ladies are an asset to the business, considering it was extremely busy, remained calm and ensured all customers were served in a timely manner. Abit cold in the shop as the doors were kept open?

Just rang them and asked if they do Vegetarian Chips (cooked separately from fish and other meats) they said yes. I ordered chips and curry sauce. The chips were chunky but the taste was Amazing. They have a large menu within the shop which caters for Vegetarians. The shop looks newly built and it is very clean and tidy. The staff is very helpful. Keep up the good work. Hopefully their menu will be out soon with all the choices for vegetarians

Freshly cooked and really generous portions so it is a little bit more expensive than your average chip shop, but we're more than happy to pay for quality food that isn't dripping in grease. Would very much recommend.

Doner kebab burger and battered chips were the best I have ever had!! Will definitely be eating from here again!! The only downside is that they only serve battered chips on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. In my opinion, it should be everyday.

Fast service, despite its popularity, delicious food would certainly recommend their pizzas. Staff are friendly, I always visit at peak times. Large orders with a pizza I would recommend calling them.

Excellent quality service, the only chippy I use in the area. Every day it's the place for me, I'm a fussy eater so I don't eat at any or every chip shop and they have a lot more options than just fish and chip. You should definitely try them out.

Huge ‘Thanks’ to Stanton’s for delivering 50 kids ‘happy meals’ to our daughter’s soft play party!! Everything was perfectly labelled (chicken nuggets, fish bites, just chips), making it so much easier to hand out. The vegetarians LOVED the margarita pizzas too!! Salt & Vinegar, ketchup provided too!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You guys made life so much easier for us xxx

Rude staff, food was awful, orderd a pie which tasted like it was last weeks. Definatley won't be going there again

Been here a few times now and it looks very clean with polite staff. The garlic bread with cheese pizza is awesome, the chips are decent, the fish is good but sadly, the doner kebab is very hit and miss. One time it was cooked well and tasty, the other 2 times it was still under done (barely cooked, no crispy outer) and quite bland. Chicken kebab was nice though. Worth a visit.

Lost for words. Upon entering ordered chicken tikka and was told it would be 10 minutes before it was ready. 15 minutes later my food was being served, got home to uncooked soft chicken inedible. I then called the restaurant which was closing in 10 minutes. Spoke to Jay the person working their which was really rude and told him about the issue his response was "yeah and" He then said to bring the food back but I live 20 minutes away so they would have then been closed, I asked to bring the food back the next day but he said no. Dinner was ruined. Food has gone down hill and customer service is appalling. Replying to owner - The food was Definitely uncooked, no equipment was turned off the chicken tikka was still cooking and serve to me under-cooked clearly just to get a sale the grill must have been on low heat and the staff were too busy cleaning due to closing time rather then checking and cooking my food upto standard. Also Jay was a rude guy when I had called the chip shop to give feedback. I had NOT asked for money back or a discount on the food which now you have just made up two lies, why would I do that after eating food that was uncooked. This is NOT about the money it is about the principle. I requested to bring the food back the following day as you were closing in 10 minutes but I was told I would not be able to by Jay. I am not the only person complaining on reviews, sort your food and staff out.

The worst kebab and chips I have ever had. I don’t often get a takeaway and usually get from the same places. We thought we’d try Stanton’s for a change - what a disappointment!!!! Absolutely disgusting! Dry meat, stale chips and an invisible salad! Stanton’s you’ve definitely lost a new local customer - never again! Won’t be ordering again and certainly wont be recommending. God knows how you even make money????

Only place to go on a chip shop Friday

Always spotless and food is always fresh, hot and delicious. As a regular customer we are always happy.

Fresh food, best chippy in great barr/handsworth wood by far! New review : guys if the card machine isn't working please let us know on arrival stood in line for 20 mins only to be told it's not working then have to drive to Tesco to get cash come back wait in queue again.

Really really disappointed with our takeaway tonight. Delivered to out house, fish and chips were cold and half the order was missing. Called them up, no apology nothing. Pizza was delivered 20 mins later, a bit burnt and on the wrong base. Such a shame as heard great things

I ordered a large cod...to my surprise the fish was regular compared to few months ago. Sort it out Stanton.

Excellent fish and chips, best in Birmingham imho. This is my go to now every Saturday, or if shut Village Plaice, Walsall. Good value @ Stantons fish always almost sea fresh. Each to his own, but my Gran Floss Berrow owned top chip shops, she would love these. SF Chicken also good as is the juicy scampi. One negative, mushy peas not done in baking soda method, which I love, hence Village Plaice.

Still waiting for my order to arrive. Ordered at 5.45pm it's now 8pm. Appalling. They need to fix up that aspect of their work.

The fish is lovely, I had to wait however so they put the chips and mushy peas in the hot cupboard. I got home and they've turned into a kebab and curry sauce, with two fish on their own!!! Not impressed as I was looking forward to bloody chips!

The chicken was decent. But food quality not worth the price. 17£ for processed burger and a small pizza. Chips taste very similar to classics/big johns. So the price makes no sense to me.

I've visited twice, on both occasions the food was outstanding. The first time I visited I was served by a very happy / professional young man. On the second visited staff the staff could learn a lot from the male member of staff.

Clean, all guidance rules appeared to be adhered to. The food was reshly cooked and tasted good.

Driven past many times. Thought I would call to place a collection order. The worker told me that they're too busy and to come in and order. Walk in. No one inside waiting. Ordered cod fish. Get home and find it soggy and watery. Straight in the bin. Never again.

Been going to Stanton's for over three years now , my regular chippy as their food is always top notch. Fresh, not greasy and quality is superb! Fish, battered chips and mixed meat kebabs are a must try. Keep up the great work Stanton's!

Great food i had fish and chips and the batter was lovely and crispy just the way I like it.

Good quality food for a decent price

The food can’t fault it taste very good! Only problem I had was all the female staff have nail extensions handling food and money, not once did I see them wash their hands after handling money then going to handle pitta bread and naan bread. I even observed one scratch her nose and then carried on preparing food! They are leaning over one another and no masks. If they wore gloves or one handle money and another handle food wouldn’t be to bad but that put me off. Replying to owner: My review is based on what I’ve witnessed I’ve wrote an honest review. I did mention the food is nice, but certain things I witnessed showed lack of hygiene in certain individuals. It’s ok you stating what your policies are, but it would be even better if they were actually implemented. I am not writing this to bash your business I’m writing that management can take what I’m saying and do better. I did not see one staff wearing a mask. Review your camera within the last 2 days you will see I’m not telling no lies.

Terrible customer service by owner. Realised my order was incorrect when I got home (Mayo added when I have a severe egg allergy) I called shop to inform them and they asked me to come back and they will correct. Return to the chippy and the owner provided mixed meat chips with no mayo and asked for the incorrect order back - no compensation offered given that we had driven 4 miles and the time wasted. I could have given the incorrect order to another family member but the owner asked for it back. Large fish was chewy and dry, donner meat was tasty and battered chips were decent. Owner is very rude so will not be returning.

Top rated fish, battered to perfection the fresh fish is done the way I like, even batter spread with a golden yellow hue neither thick nor thin but even coating. Doused in Salt and Vinegar bloody lovely.

One of the few places that know how to make battered chips.. definitely worth a visit if you want to try battered chips.

Food was average missed one of my items but only realised when got home. Shop wasn't even busy so I don't understand why my item was missed.

Shocking customer service no real sense of ownership when making common mistakes. An ego-driven environment where owners are never wrong and can’t make mistakes. Last time I’ll be going just based on poor service and lack of understanding. Have to spend a fortune to pay by card and waiting for your food is another story. Focus on your customers and I’m sure you can improve but knowing the way you’ve treated previous matters I doubt it.

Quite a queue at 6pm on a Friday, but that is because their fish and chips are so good! Chicken meat and chips also spot on. Highly recommended.

One Friday I ordered a large doner meat in a pitta. And got the skimpiest portion of meat. Then again week later large mixed kebab in a pitta. Skimpy portion of meat. When I returned it. It was stated that that is a portion. It barely filled the pitta bread. Id hate to order a normal kebab. Chips are nice though. Shame they are too tight with there portions. Considering there prices.
