Friendly service good food couldn't be happier.

Me and my sister went there this morning to get one of there baguette melts and fries and omg it was absolutely lovely really enjoy it , it was our 1st time going into the cafe , service was excellent , will be coming again to try another baguette melt 🙂 x

Me and my sister went here to get lunch to eat....we got baguette melts with fries 🍟 The young lady taking our order and making the baguettes was lovely and pleasant 1st time for me and my sister using this lovely place. Absolutely lovely baguette melt meals it was fresh, warm and bloody tasty 😋 will definitely be coming again to taste other meals.

After a long and difficult night shift in my role as a nurse, I stopped at Loaf for breakfast. Big mistake; as I was met by the most unpleasant man serving behind the counter. He was very unfriendly whilst taking my order as came across impatient and rude. No smile, no thank-you's and definitely no regard for myself as a paying customer. In fact as soon as he had taken my order, he asked me to step aside so he could take an order from a lovely couple where the gentleman even remarked at how rude the guy serving was. I would not recommend anyone frequent this establishment as they do not respect their customer who are coming regularly placing orders with them. I had a previous experience with the female last year, but decided to give the place another go. Second big mistake, as I think the cafe is a lost cause due to the management. The young girl actually making up the meals is excellent and too good for the likes of the company. I would not set foot in the establishment again, let alone give them my business and I just hope I never see you on my ward. Good riddance. Donna

Ordered a chicken Sunday lunch from here only took 29 minutes to get to me and it came freezing cold and I mean absolutely freezing. :edit: spent 13 hours in hospital and 2 days really ill after this freezing food. Not happy.

Ordered a salad box stating i didn’t want onion or tomato and gave other ingredients to replace those. The male that served me was very accommodating. The woman who then provided with the bill had charged me for extra items saying they cannot swop items and i have to be charged for the one so didn’t have in the salad. It was quite clear it was a miss understanding it was more the way it was communicated and the attitude i received. I don’t believe customer service is a priority in this store . I later called back and requested the items of food i didn’t have, yet was charged for be put in a plastic container for me to collect which was more about the principle. The container probably cost more than it would have in this instance to on this occasion not charge me for additional items I didn’t have in the salad. I was reluctant to spend my money here again and some months later i did return to which the gentleman was friendly and polite and the young girl who took payment. The woman entered the shop and i couldn’t believe her words ‘ you’re back’ i responded with ‘back?’ and she brought up the salad incident. I couldn’t get my breath. Based on my experiences with her i genuinely will never return to this Bistro and if this company were relying on word of mouth and recommendation if based on customer service alone it would most likely fail.

Amazing service and absolutely beautiful, the food is fresh and full of flavour. Me and my daughters come in the evening and had the mash melts, and cajun chicken with peri peri fries absolutely 10/10. We stayed for dessert too which was heaven on a plate. We will definitely be coming back here! Good quality food and staff are so friendly and efficient. Thank you.

I can't complain about the food but the cross contamination with the food utensils is not to my liking if you have a veg option they use the same knifes as the rest of the menu like the pork and chicken there should be specific utensils for the vegetarian option or don't have it on the menu as myself I don't eat meat and going here to see this

Just had my first baguette and samosa, and they were delicious. I've known the owner for a long time and she has always been so cheery and professional. The shop was clean, well-organised, and with great decor. Felt reassured that food looks fresh. If I wasn't trying to eat low-carb I'd order from here regularly. But I'll be back for the cocktails!

Lovely local cafe that has amazing customer service! I usually order a caramel latte and it's always amazing! Their cajun fries are to die for and I've just eaten a chicken bacon mayo baguette that was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! Always lovely food, drinks and customer service! I ate one of the best sandwich melts I’ve ever had. Mixed chicken warmed up with melted cheese and bbq sauce. Lady that served me very helpful and polite. I would 100% go again.

Firstly what a friendly welcome. Really helpful member of staff who gave the impression that nothing I could ask for was too much trouble. Really nice chicken salad baguette 🥖 and samosas. Extensive menu, I will be returning.

Regular visitor and they never fail to provide brilliant service, fantastic food at very competitive prices.

We done an order via just eat for 2 breakfast sandwiches, 1 best and 1 small breakfast, the delivery came and was incorrect 1 sandwich was with brown sauce and we asked without sauce due to dietary requirements they cannot have the sauce but had it on The bacon, sausage andegg sandwich was not even there We rang the restaurant up to make them aware that our order was wrong and they forgot to put our call on mute and we could hear them calling us liers!! The woman on the phone tried to say it was the delivery drivers fault - what so the delivery driver put brown sauce in a sandwich that we asked it without? Also we do not appreciate being call a liar over a sandwich that you clearly forgot to pack They would not rectify our order at all and told us to take it up with just eat and to not use just eat as they have no control over the drivers and to use uber Why go with just eat then? They did also at the start try to say we had not done an order when we clearly had and took them awhile to find our order We have taken this up with just eat to get our money back but we do not appreciate being called a liar by your members of staff

Breakfast is delicious! We normally order a full breakfast baguette which is served hot,fresh,reasonably priced and staff are friendly and welcoming especially owner. I'd recommend all to try.

Lovely little cafe. Predominantly takeaway but they let us eat on the picnic bench in a little outside waiting area. Food was good and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly.

That old asian lady very rude very disrespectful!!! Food was cold stone cold rang the shop and she answered and said warm it up in your microwave what kind of service is this will be putting my complaint in the food standard agency!!!.

DO NOT use this service. I would highly recommend using Tim Hortons or Macdonalds. Staff are very rude on the phone they can never get the order correct always a problem ordering. Sandwich comes with 1 sausage in. food ALWAYS COLD. disgusting attitude and no customer service to resolve issue when phoned.

A yummy roast dinner to take away. The slices of meat were a bit stingy but everything else served 2 nights dinner.

I collected a fresh Sunday lunch. Popped it in the oven gas 5 for 35 mins. I can honestly say I ate the lot even though there's enough for two. The flavours of the pototoes and veg was lovely. I also had one for my elderly mother and took it to bham.she loved it as well. Will be buying again

Staff were pleasant and cafe looks good. I ordered a full English based on the picture on their website as it seemed like good quality ingredients. The photo even showed fresh tomatoes. This photo is a lie. The sausages and bacon were the cheapest quality you can get, the eggs looked meh and the tomatoes were tinned tomatoes. If you're going to use cheap ingredients, please show an honest photo on your website.

Just ordered 2 breakfast baguettes for brunch this morning! The absolute best breakfast sandwich I have had in a very long time!!!! Ordered through UberEats as I wanted it delivered and the baguettes were still piping hot. Thank you so much Loaf! Will definitely be using you again. My new work from home breakfast treat 😊

I purchased a baguette and a cheese, ham and onion toastie for an elderly neighbour and her visitor. I had requested no butter on both. On delivery the guest opened up an oily onion and cheese mess on bread with butter! ( onion placed first as it was the dominant ingredient, looked like half an onion ). On returning this mess I was asked to wait while another was prepared. The manager said " I will have to charge you for the ham " ??? I said " I was already charged for the ham as I checked at checkout and it was written on the bag" Manager then said " Calm down I have to check, people DO make mistakes " ??? For the life of me I cannot see how telling me you are going to charge me for ham is the same as checking ??? and she was the one that was stressed. I delivered the replaced sandwich which was so overdone the cheese was hard she could not eat it and had to be thrown away. The baguette did not fair any better. There was butter, tinned tomatoes, neither of which were requested and my neighbour does not eat so that too was discarded. On checking the receipt, there was a 30p overcharge on an added item. All in all too many " mistakes " made here, inedible food and the loss of £6.70 for two people in their late eighties. I purchased for them from a reputable company and both were very happy. Customer service was extremely poor from the manager. Maybe she took offence to my " I Wish A Karen Would " T shirt. Have a good day Karen!!

Not a good experience at all! The way the female owner spoke to me was appalling. I was asked to move to the other side of the 1metre square space they have inside as I was too close to her even though she was on the other side of the counter. She made me wait 30 minutes for 2 jacket potatoes whilst I watched a number of customers receive their order. I asked one customer if he phoned in for his order and the answer was no. The owner also spoke to her staff like something she found on the bottom of her shoe. Upon arrival she just looked so moody, not a smile in sight to greet a customers. I told her she looks stressed and unhappy only to hear her talk back to me like a chav.. "YOU WHAT!". One word of advice - IF YOU CANT HANDLE THE HEAT STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN!

Food is lovely but coffee leaves a lot to be desired. Too much syrup and not enough coffee in my latte.

The past couple of weeks we have breakfast here nearly everyday. Lately we’ve been having lunch too and yet to try the burgers. Today we’ve had Sunday dinner from here and by far was it tasty, we’ll presented and delicious. I had the turkey and the wife and would highly recommend in trying Loaf out. Burgers are actually quality, unlike Mcdonalds (ew) and burger King (ugh). Definitely the best burgers I have had in a while. 😌🥴

Breakfast here is amazing and so are the shakes. Eaten here now the past 7 days and won’t miss out. Food is fresh, tasty and the milkshakes blew my mind as they have a lot of choice I’ve tried 4 different ones now so give them a try.

Take away Sunday roast dinners are very generous size wise and very tasty. Only possible negative is perhaps there should be one tub of gravy per dinner. Rather than one pot per two dinners. Would definitely recommend. Good value for money, thank you.

They ask if I could wait for them to serve someone I said no problem and just had me waiting on the phone for 5 minutes to come back and end the phone on me.

It is the first time I have used this shop and I have got to say the lady who I gather owns it has such a bad attitude its disgusting. No signage to say what to do, people all standing about outside and then when you ask what to do she belittled you and speaks down to you. For that reason I will never use them again!

Nice, clean, great menu, great owner and staff. I'd order direct for the full menu. They are great for all tastes. There's parking and an outdoor area for wen we can resume eating out. The menu is varied and différé t but has many traditional dishes.

Yet another delicious meal from Loaf. We have continually used them throughout lockdown for Sunday lunch, burgers & pizzas. They never disappoint. If only other customers loved their pork belly as much as we do because it’s so good. Would absolutely recommend.

Visited here for the very first time this morning for the second time in a few days, there food has been good on both occasions and reasonably priced, they also employ some lovely staff. Looking forward to returning.

AVOID! They need to learn how to give good customer service. They sent me a bagette instead of a jacket potato on uber eats and all the response i got back was "oh well it stated bagette on here" "bye" lol joke! No apology or anyway of making the situation better. I 100% wont be ordering again and will tell friends to stay clear. It clearly states on uber eats that i ordered a jacket potato not a bagette! so you could of said sorry ill look into this furher but nope you missed your chance and a customer

Been going to loaf for some time now and can say they are consistently the best food outlet for some distance in the area. Breakfast is delicious and cooked to your specification (love crispy bacon and i sub the baked beans as i dont like them). Good portions, always hot and never waited to long for it to be ready. Lunch, again loads of options baguettes, sandwiches and jackets potatoes and loads of filling to choose from for all, im a tikka baguette fan 🤤. The evening menu on the weekends are amazing, the burgers are delicious beef burgers are massive and you can double up if your brave enough 😂 took me 2 sittings to eat juicy beef, crispy bacon and toasted bun is perfection. The buttermilk chicken and tikka burgers are also amazing. Cocktails - OMG the cocktails are beautiful woo woo and peach bellini was the cocktails for me on Friday both were great flavor the woo woo really was the best tho not overpowering on the cranberry as some tend to be, delicious and refreshing on a hot summers night 10/10 would recommend and chilled drink with the owner being the host with the most making sure everyone was happy. The chicken curry is to die for with just the right kick of spices, i had the pleasure Saturday of trying the chilli and garlic curry with chapatti, the chicken was tender and juicy and the flavours of the curry was incredible and the portion size it amazing for the price (£13 for 2 people) I missed the curried goat the other week and am gutted as it looked so good. The veggie food looks amazing will be trying the goats cheese and pesto parcels as soon as i can. Again i have not tried a sunday roast yet but will say they look great and i have heard nothing but good about them. I recommend going and trying all they have to offer as everything i have tried has been ojt of this world amazing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've been here for cocktails with the girls and for a date night with the husband and on both occasions it was lovely. The atmosphere was just right, not loud or over crowded at all. A few weeks ago we ordered a Take Away Sunday Lunch for my daughter and she said it was blooming delicious, just enough of everything. Its a lovely, clean and friendly bistro bar that I will definitely be visiting again.

To have something like this on our doorstep is incredible; have been for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as Loaf offers a variety of meals. baguettes are scrumptious, and the nachos/hotdogs are a beautiful evening treat... they even offer cocktails and speciality beers for some late night drinks!

I really love this place..! It is a privilege to have such great food and atmosphere in our locale. I regularly go and also use it as a meet up place for friends. The breakfasts are great, and the Sunday roasts are amazing..! The staff are friendly and attentive, and as with all locally owned businesses I wish them well and appreciate how they make where we live so much better..! I look forward to lunch there later today..!

Since discovering LOAF I have been a loyal customer. I look forward to heading here every time I return from university, the staff are lovely and always make me feel welcome. If you have any feedback on how things could be better they always act on it rapidly and are always improving the shop. The food is amazing and there is a lot to choose from. In summer it's lovely to sit outside and in winter it's a really cozy atmosphere inside. It's great to have something so lovely in the local area and community that isn't just a pub! Wish this place all the best.

Went to try the food with family, order wasn’t correct, No PPE and would refuse to give a refund. Place didn’t seem sanitised or clean. The baguettes were very stale. You say you pride yourself with baking daily, I beg to differ

Thought we’d try the roasts as saw advertisements, food arrived cold, hard. Beef was dry as a bone, peas were brown instead of green. Wouldn’t recommend

I have been to loaf a few times on my lunch break and my friend at work goes there literally everyday shes at work... and I can honestly say there food is amazing.. there baguettes are lush oh and i have had there salad box and i once had a sunday dinner 😍 tasty and fresh 😋 I cant recommend this place highly enough, and my friend is not giving up this place for nothing 😁😁 the staff are always friendly and polite 😀 we went in there yesterday and there standards are high ! ( don't get the negative of some of the reviews 🤔 must of been a totally different place) keep up the amazing work girls 👧

This place is disgusting. I found hairs in the food. The chicken curry tasted old. Furthermore when we challenged the staff, the owners boyfriend came out, was extremely aggressive and made us all feel unsafe and uncomfortable. I’d urge those thinking of going to reconsider.

To say this place is good is an understatement, staff were very polite when ordering food, i have had Burgers and The roasts and worth every penny, the staff got my order spot on and made sure I was happy with my order, oh yes and the Sausage Rolls are to die for!! Wow! The food is amazing. I had Roasted Mediterranean, Goats Cheese and Chilli Jam Baguette and my Son had Chicken, Bacon & Mayo Baguette. The flavors are incredible! The only 2 things i'd say is the option for brown bread (couldn't see it on Uber Eats) and a Vegan range for my other Son, who couldn't order from here. I look forward to ordering a lot more in the near future!

Ordered online to be told I wasn't getting my order because there prices on menu weren't correct and to top it off refused to refund as they said they never accepted order even tho I have the confirmation email from them there customer service is a joke will be contacting trading standards as they ripped me off took my money and no food avoid!!!!!!!!

I went there with my wife and newborn. As I'm a firm believer of supporting your local businesses. Before we even sat down to get comfortable we were asked on 2 occasions if we knew what we were ordering and told that they close at 2pm (we entered at 1.20pm) we already felt rushed and uncomfortable. My wife asked for a sandwich and was told they don't serve them on Sundays and they Only had sausage and bacon left. We both ordered what they had. While eating the next customers who seemed to know the owners ordered toasties with various fillings, and other customer ordered a sandwich which she got. I can't believe you tell one customer one thing and others get different treatment. Overall place is nice food was OK but management really need to figure out how to look after customers. Especially when you guys write about customer service in your advert. We won't be coming back here again.
