Stacks Bistro in Newtownabbey

Food poor, burger , get better from a burger van, salted chilli chicken, can make better at home,, really disappointing, over salted chips,, WHY salt the chips pre serving,, this place is now called JECS ,, I would be embarrassed to put my name to this food, visiting with a group from work and I paid good money for ,,, sorry poor poor poor food , wish I took photos

First impressions of this place was that it was freezing badly lit and had an over powering smell of industrial greese! We were met by quite an elderly lady who found it difficult to articulate one coherent sentence together! In the end up the only thing we could decipher was "nah love" we decided to turn on our heels and leave. Don't see this place lasting much longer.

Ordered online and it took nearly 2 hours to arrive. If you want food quickly then best avoid, just not worth the hassle.

I start my Saturdays with a visit to Stacks Bistro for breakfast. I usually order the small fry which is great and has everything you would need. Recently I have been ordering the Veggie breakfast and it is great - I have been stuck on this one for a while now but recently saw a plate of pancakes being served nearby - I may just try them next week. The fact that the price also includes tea/coffee is an added bonus.

Went to stacks with my wife on a Thursday night. We had the special consisting of 2 sirloin steaks and a glass of wine for £10.00 per person. Food was excellent and quickly served. Will definitely be back

First time being here on a whim, safe to say it was lovely. Seated and served quickly. The staff are lovely and friendly and the food is of a very high standard, highly recommended the burger. Will be back.

I have visited stacks many time for different reasons. This morning I decided to try their breakfast. One word - Lush. Well cooked fry & my daughter had the stack of pancakes. Will deffo return 😊

We should have turned back when we saw how dirty the entrance was. What could go wrong with a traditional fry and a filter coffee for £4.50? EVERYTHING. Coffee was instant! No tomatoes or mushrooms bacon only just felt the heat of the pan and I didn’t know pancakes came black. Whilst we are having a moan, many light bulbs out and staff had dirty t shirts on.

Enjoyed a lovely Ulster fry cooked perfectly Nicely decorated Waitress very pleasant Highly recommend!

Heard good reviews so went for breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had scrambled egg, sausage and wheaten bread. Other half had fry. The food was lovely and not too greasy which is a huge bonus. The wheaten bread was home made and delicious. Hope to return for lunch or dinner soon. Highly recommend and reasonably priced food.

We called in here for a late lunch and found a table without any problem. The grey tables were basic café style but appeared clean. We ordered the steak sandwich at £10.00 and it came with chips. Unfortunately, the steak was tough and gristly and we didn't enjoy it. It was about a 6oz cut thick and perhaps if it was a little thinner sliced it might be more enjoyable and more like a sandwich, rather than a lump of meat balanced on the bottom half of a ciabatta bread with the top half sitting alongside. Staff were friendly and helpful and the service was good, but sadly the food let them down
