Stack & Still in Glasgow City

Went with family for breakfast. The pancakes were nice and enjoyed my time there. One pancake was served cold which was disappointing as was expecting them all to be warm, however, still tasted nice

Don’t recommend the superfood stack. Yoghurt was thinly spread on pancake, fruit consisted of 2 strawberries, 3 raspberries and 6 blueberries. Really dry and just not worth the money.

Today I had my first experience of stack and still. My sister, Dad, myself and our 2 children (2 years and 12 weeks). We enjoyed fantastic customer service from the moment we arrived until we left. In particular Lyle and Chantelle could not do enough for us. I feel when people write reviews, most of the time it's because they've had a negative experience. Today I wanted to mention the staff at Silver Burn where absolutely wonderful and ill see you guys soon!

We have been regular customers to this branch since it opened but I can honestly say we won't be returning to this branch ever again. Our previous visit wasn't great but this visit was just plain awful. The staff were too busy chit chatting to even provide basic service. We waited to be seated which took ages, then it took ages for someone to return for our order then we waited at least 20 mins for our pancakes which isn't normally the case and it wasn't even busy, so not sure why it took so long? When they arrived it looked like a dogs dinner, the ice cream had melted so obviously it had been sitting for a while before being brought to us, then when we had finished it took at least 10 mins for our plates to be removed, the staff were standing directly infront of us chatting not bothering with any customers, when they took the plates away they never uttered a word, never asked if we wanted anything else or if anything was OK, then we waited another 15 mins until we seen any staff again. I had to wave them over to pay the bill. It was completely shocking service and we will never return here. It's completely different at braehead, I would advise people to visit there other branches!

My son and I had pancakes in this restaurant and were very impressed by the food and the service. There was a lot of choice but you could also create your own. The pancakes were delicious. They were maybe a little bit expensive so we wouldn't go there a lot but it was perfect as a special treat.

Visited October 2022. Tried the “Cadbury” 99 pancake special. Two pancakes that you cannot taste as they are sandwiched in off brand chocolate sauce definitely not cadburys chocolate. Fairly unpleasant and with sprinkles to really ruin the texture. Accompanied by Sprite with a poor syrup mixture and sticky tables. Really not a fan. Other people in party were happy enough with pancakes

Met a friend here, she has been many times before but my first vist. I arrived early and the restaurant was busy, but was greeted warmly at the entrance and as my table was ready I was able to have a coffee to wait for my friend. The host on the door was very friendly and accommodating as were all the staff that served us. The food was good I had the breakfast pankakes, my friend went sweet. Both were excellent. Drinks good as was the coffee. Will visit again.

Nice fluffy pancakes but quite dry without syrup/butter. Maple syrup was very expensive as an extra. In fact, the whole thing was expensive. Not sure I would go back.

Ordered pancakes with syrup and strawberries. Came with what looked suspicious on the 🍓 but as it was on all assumed it must be a chocolate dusting. Ate some but was niggling so closer inspection showed every strawberry covered in mould. Does no one sense check the quality of a dish before delivered or when being delivered ? Made Manager aware and he offered me new strawberries - no thanks! I had to ask them to take the strawberries off the bill as it was not offered and neither was anything else. As you can imagine left most of the rest as felt sick but they still charged us for everything else, poor quality control followed up with poor customer care - leave you to make your own mind up if it is worth a visit

Was Looking forward to Stack and Still Silverburn for a nice Valentines Day Lunch, Ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Short stack, when it arrived it was only a Double stack, pointed this out to the server who didn't bother taking the stack away for a redo, instead brought out an individual pancake to add to my order myself and proceeded to lift the pancake with bare hands and put it on my plate, so much for food hygiene. I Started eating and found the cream cheese filling to be more like sour cream, definitely not what you'd expect from something described as Cheesecake, the clue being that cheesecake is not sour and is relatively sweet to taste. I thereafter left the cream cheese topping and instead ate around the topping, only to find that the toffee sauce was also missing from the order and the meringue was a laughable small nest plopped on top as an obvious after thought. This is my second poor experience at Stack and Still, it will definitely be my last, if you're after something memorable, it certainly will be. Nothing was fresh, avoid at all costs. Flamed peaches and roasted pears were ice cold. Bacon looked sickly, boiled and not fresh. Pancakes were extra dry and stale even the maple syrup topping couldn’t help. Chocolate sauces were also watery. The tables were sticky too. Would never return.

What can I say?! The food. Wow. The Service. Wow! Was worried when folk on here were saying it was overly expensive. It's not. You get what you pay for. And that's big portions of goodness. I was taken there by work mates for my birthday lunch. And yes, there was the obligatory surprise HAPPY BIRTHDAY song by the waitress, Jenny who was a legend the whole service. Very friendly and very helpful, as were all the staff. I ordered the All American. Perfect food. Perfect portion. No faults with the food at all, neither did my colleagues. 5 stars all the way. Can't wait to go back.

Visited with my sister, we both ordered pancake stacks, mine being gluten free due to having coeliac disease. Waitress brought the dreaded allergens folder, so ok, made my selection. Was advised gluten free pancakes take longer, so that’s fine. Our food arrived, my pancakes were clearly uncooked, and my sister’s regular one was very pale and barely cooked. Both plates were returned. Unfortunately my GF ones were yet again raw! The waitress brought out the manageress, who proceeded to tell me that is how the Gluten Free pancakes should be, and that they were actually fully cooked! She then said she would give a discount on our bill. Needless to say it was a very disappointing uncomfortable situation. After a discussion with pleasant waitress, Manageress Claire was called back, she was again, insisted pancakes were as they should be, and went on to say batter is made fresh daily etc, I tried to explain it was possibly too chilled to cook, however she was adamant they were as should be. I had to eventually ask her to just stop, I’d had enough, It was offensive and downright rude of her. We were not charged.

Firstly, this review applies to the Edinburgh store, I couldn't find that one on Tripadvisor to write the review for. Wow - I never thought a pancake could be so filling! This place has a menu of toppings for pancakes that I would never even think of. We went for breakfast and I still found myself adding sweet toppings such as Oreo biscuits because there was so many options. Just such a fun place to get some food which is very nice and tasty. The only reason it has lost a star is because it is quite expensive but we were extremely full after our food so it was worth it but I know it could be seen as very expensive. Worth a visit none the less.

To start on a positive the meal in general was pretty good. If you have a sweet tooth like myself this place is pretty ideal. My friend and I both got “The Nutella stack” With the option of one, two, or three pancakes. I being my greedy self got the three which was pretty filling. The Stack came with 3 pancakes topped with a generous amount of Nutella, Chocolate buttons, pieces of Cadbury crunchy chunks and clotted cream. The meal in itself was nice and the staff were generally lovely! Onto the negative.. I just feel that it’s overpriced for what it is. The meal was served within around 5 minutes of ordering which in my opinion I don’t think were freshly made. Your essentially paying £25 for 5 pancakes (including my friends) with some chocolate on top, it’s just not very good value for money, and a bit steep if I’m honest. Would I come back here? I would yes, but Not in a hurry. The food was good but for the price paid you can get a nicer meal elsewhere.
