Some of these comments are from the local shops that are going out of business because of this shop 😂😂😂 We love it. It’s the quality and the cleanliness on top of the freshly made food. It’s healthy and we don’t worry about it the oil is changed from 6months ago. Everytime I’m here for a visit this is the only spot to eat.

If you value your hard-earned money and your self-respect, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. The prices here are outrageously inflated—I'm talking way above what you'd pay at any other decent restaurant. It's like they think their food is made of gold, but trust me, it’s not worth the markup. As if the rip-off prices weren't bad enough, the service is downright appalling. The staff is rude beyond belief. If you dare to voice a complaint or question the absurd prices, be prepared to be met with hostility. They don't just brush you off—they go on the attack, hurling insults and abuse as if you're the problem for wanting a decent experience. In short, if you respect yourself and your wallet, stay far away from these people. There are plenty of other restaurants out there that actually appreciate their customers. This one? Not even close.

I ordered food for delivery , called back as was waiting for my delivery, the response I received was disgusting, , they said I had ordered 10 minutes ago, that was a lie when I questioned this, he used disgusting foul language to me I could not actually believe it , awful

Just eat? Do not eat. We have ordered a delivery. Half an hour after delivery, my husband opened a container, and the smell was a mix of grills and petrol. He tried one piece of meat and after taste was horrible. We contacted the shop,explained the situation and asked them to collect whole order and refund money, the person stated that because delivery was done an hour ago,which it wasn't and I don't know how that should be relevant, he refused to collect the order and refund the money. We just wasted almost £70 on food we can't eat. I would not recommend it if you don't want to be poisoned from using charcoal not suitable for food preparation.

Came here looking for a meaty nosh and was not disapointed the manager was so welcoming and said if i was to wait in the back alley he would be out in a minute to help me (he said i should be on my knees ready)

This place is a joke suck a let down. On our first visit I had an amazing Lamb Shish Kebab with some fresh vegetables and lovely dressing. The staff where helpful respectful at all times. I would recommend this place to everyone. However after my second visit I would not recommend anyone. In our mixed kebab was a mixture of laughter and and tears. But hardly any chicken and not a naan bread in site. I was so disappointed 😔 it seems this place is very hit and miss. With the food and the friendliness.

Best kebab I’ve come across in Northampton

The manager "Apoo", never had any issues with them before he must of been having a bad day! but still doesn't give anyone the right to give any attitude and get rude over the phone! Apoo said he won't deliver because of minimum order of £12, I always say add the charge on top but this time he went all crazy and said NO can't do it and he will tell all his staff this can't be done at all (they've done this all time in the past). 30 mins later delivery driver turns up with the food, after Apoo said no to delivering.

Ordered food for delivery at 10pm they claimed I ordered collection they text 1pm next day to say it's ready, I questioned this and the guy on the phone went all defensive and loud I said ive been with them for years he said he didnt care, No food ! No refund just rude staff, NO CUSTOMER NOW!

Ordered chicken shish, doner kebab, chips and a spag bol. The salad was fresh and the pita was grilled perfectly. The family rate the food 10/10. Definitely recommend*****

My new favourite kebab in Northampton. Ordered a 3 item mixed (Lamb Doner, Kofta, Lamb Shish). More than enough for 2 people (after adding an extra pitta), doner meat was moist, it had texture and seemed to be of a high quality. The Kofta was tasty and of a good quality, but nothing astounding. The Lamb Shish however! I don't have a clue what they marinate that in, but it was the first time in ages that I've tender, moist and succulent chunks of lamb from a Turkish / Kebab restaurant and it really stole the show. Other things worth mentioning, it wasn't greasy at all, and non of it sat heavy in the stomach after eating. The only negative really is that the chips were "meh", a bit soggy and lack lustre, but generally par for the course (although they were only added to reach the free delivery point anyway, so it was no big deal).

I’m not from the area so didn’t know where is good, I chose here because of the ok reviews Kebab was awful, cold and I asked for burger sauce they’ve put the sauce all under the chicken and it’s mixed all with the water from the salad and the chicken is dripping in this disgusting watery sauce only ate one bit of chicken what a waste of £11 even the pitta wasn’t cooked hard and doughy! Yuk!

My friend just ordered it for me to try it....knowing how these kebab places work I thought a " medium size menu" would be enough for me....compare the images on the website with this, " normal/ standard " portion for £7.50. 😏Inflation? I dont think so, never again

Now this might sound over rated but we came in last week, with my husband and my little 8 year old boy we ordered 2 kebabs with chips with a Turkish style salad and my son ordered a kids pizza meal for £6 which came with a drink. 30 minutes later a huge feast came to our table which was out of this world. A well deserved 10 out of 10 Friendly staff Clear restaurant

I've been there week ago and all I remember is how huge meals were and how cheap at the same time. I literally could it one meal there per day and be full. Love it.

Very disappointed. Normally get good,, tasty food from here but last night my delivery took nearly 2 hours to arrive and when it did, it was cold. The delivery person just handed it over and made a hasty retreat up the path. I was also dismayed at 6 pieces of chicken shish and 2 pieces of lamb kofti. looking sad in the container and not really worth the price I paid. I must admit that the quantity is not mentioned in the menu but, having had plenty of doner and chicken kebab meat in the past, this was a bit of a letdown. Plenty of chips but they were cold too.

St James kebab is what I would perceive to be the home of soul food for us kebab lovers. The food is somewhat a bit more pricey, in stark contrast to the business's competition, however the chefs put there heart and soul into giving the customers a palatable and delectable experience. Moreover, the chefs are always friendly and their cooking skills are second to none. Every time I walk in they always know what to give me because I'm a regular and you will be too.

Great food, good service. I recommend the shish + kofte kebab and the chicken wings. All cooked on charcoal. The turkish supermarket next door sells ayran and baklava. Combine for a turkish feast.

Lamb donner kebab is GODLIKE! The meat in it was very good and the 1000 island sauce was the creamiest tastiest thing to go with. Mixed with the salad and it's a beauty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will go again.

Disappointed. Cold, asked for salad got two pieces of burnt onion! Burnt to a crisp! Embarrassing. Soggy chips. Not what I expected, real shame! Wouldn’t advise going here. Order took 30 minutes longer than maximum time advised.

We ordered two pizzas on the Sunday evening late. Tasted fine, but all five of us had food poisoning the night before going on holiday. Unbelievable stomach cramps, full on sickness, it was horrific.

Grill special - lamb shish, chicken shish, adana kebab, lots of salad and pitta....less than a tenner. Superb!

Not a kebab kind of girl but this was the tastiest donner kebab I've had in Northampton! And ooof the salad and food is so fresh and mouthwatering! You have to try it atleast once!

Order placed today, 01.12.2018 at 17.06., told it would be 30 minutes, food arrived 18.09, freezing cold. Rang St. James kebab at 18.12 to complain and request replacement to be sent for 18.40. Will update.

Salad was nice but meat wasn’t great... ordered chicken shish and chicken doner and meat tasted a bit weird... it just wasn’t right, there was strange after taste... like it wasn’t fresh or it wasn’t cooked properly.... won’t be coming back, there are nicer places in Northampton to go for a kebab

I ordered a Chicken Shish Kebab with salad and shared chips with a friend. Chicken was cooked over a fire in front of me and the salad was lovely. We are inside and the food was served on nice white plates with proper cutlery. Chips were nice but we didn't finish them. The whole experience was well beyond expectations for a kebab before the rugby (shame the Saints couldn't also exceed expectations)

DO NOT BELIEVE THE 1 STAR REVIEWS! Clearly competitors that know they are a under threat putting false reviews. This is excellent quality grilled food, cooked with a bit of passion which is rare for a kebab shop. Enjoy!

I have never had a bad meal or experience here, and I eat here at least once a month. The staff are friendly and I have not seen any evidence of rats or anything like that.

Shockingly bad. Ordered 2 chicken kebabs with garlic mayo and chips. We got the most inedible "meat" I've ever seen. Greasy,boney, scraps of congealed skin, and cold. The chips were cold. Threw it all in the bin. Never again.

Absolutely shocking i saw rats at the rear of the ship i also found the ffod to be dry and the service was rubbish the owner even then continued to assult to which nothing was done the is disgraceful they shoyld be shut down its a dirty place wouldnt even let my dog eat the food there is on the other hand a very nice freddies chicken about 30m up thevroad which id rather recommend

ordered a cheese burger i got a dry burger in a bun no cheese, no salad and no sauce. just a dry burger in a bun was so dry i couldn't eat it, so no dinner for me tonight thanks st james kebab. I will never order from here again and will tell friends and family to avoid this place.

Quality coals and great flavour chicken, this is the best kebab in Northampton bar none. Pickup service rapid and always remember to put the sauce on the side.
