St Ives Chinese Thai in Huntingdonshire

Absolutely disgusting, it wasn't cooked properly and it was cold and tasted vile I wouldn't bother with the place or waste your money they're not worth it im surprised they're still serving food they should be shut down.

Well, it was ok. The food was very fast in arriving and piping hot. The side dishes were great and no real complaint there. However, the main dish was over cooked and lacking in any taste. If you just want something quick and not a main dish then this place. Is ideal.

Hasn't been before doubt I will go again , didn't look the cleanest of places ,polite staff ,quick service ,food was pretty grim ,spare ribs were well over done and the rest was pretty bland.

I'd give it a 4/5 but gave it a 5 to compensate for what feels like extreme reviews. Quantity: I found portions rather generous, with all that I've ordered so far coming in generally the larger containers. The amount of meat is also great, though I did find that ordering the mixed meat ended up with a large container with too much meat to the noodle ratio, which will be good or bad depending on the person. Quality: It all tasted rather lovely, the Thai stuff generally stuck out to me more than the others and the meat has so far been reliably cooked well with nothing ending up too chewy, not everything cooked perfectly but nothing ending up like shoe leather as can often be the case with a takeaway. While the food was delicious, I wasn't blown away by anything apart from their curry sauce, which is a new thing to me, I tried other curry sauces in other places more recently however St Ives Chinese Thai's version still stuck out to me. Service: I haven't had any reason to call in. Both times I ordered from the site both times, food turned up very quickly both times as well in roughly half the time limit, it was hot both times and the packaging it came with while some did have holes in for venting purposes I imagine they were useful for reusing or microwaving the next day. A solid place that seems a good spot to make your regular, I'd personally recommend the Thai curries, especially the Massaman Duck, though the Jungle Curry is also great for someone who wants a bit more heat with less coconut cream.

Food was greasy. Chicken balls and prawn balls had no taste. I wasn’t able to tell the difference between the two. The noodles tasted like Indian food, rather than Chinese. Avoid!

first time ordering from here as i had a voucher. i ordered my favourite beef curry. it didnt taste anything like a curry and the beef was so chewy. daughter had sweet and sour chicken balls and said it was horrible. will not be returning.

Ordered takeaway,had before and really enjoyed,but it was disappointing last night,all the food tasted like a salt pot had been poured into it. The food was cold and soggy starters. Phoned takeaway and no answer. Won’t use again,shame as last time it was lovely.

I have just received a delivery of cold food. chewy seaweed and a bland beef curry. I rang to tell them but he simply said 'we make the curry that way as local people do not like spice' I do not believe that for a second. A curry is a curry. It was super sweet. Nothing has been done about my order. I will not use this place again.

Food was cold when delivered. Also, I ordered a crispy duck and they forgot the veg that goes with it (spring onions etc) and they also forgot the sauce.

Apparently the owner makes his dishes “different to every other Chinese restaurants in the area” I asked for prawns in garlic butter and I received 8 prawns swimming in a greasy tasteless sauce with masses of onions, the food also arrived cold so I had to heat it up in the oven after the owner refused to do anything and rudely hung up the phone and said they were closed

I order shredder beef,pork dumping and egg rice all very good and delicious and delivered on time ,thank will order again.

Disgusting...cold, solid, inedible food. We get a lot of Chinese food and only chose this as it was the only place delivering at the time. Avoid!!!

Don’t waste your money the food was cold under cooked and stale. Ordered a family takeaway and everyone was disappointed and thought waste money.

Used this place b4 a while ago only came here due to the lockdown to get food and I must say it's improved food was hot we pre ordered for collection @8pm it was lovely tasty and would go back great service and food .......

The third time we have tried to place an order on just eat for this restaurant, we get all the way to paying and send the order and they send you a text to say your order has been cancelled. Their phone goes to answer machine and sends you a text to go and order online with their app and get 10% off, however the link does not work and app does not appear to exist. They are far too busy for you, so dont bother trying. Total waste of your time

Ordered from here via telephone for collection there was a error with order but the manager sorted it out with no fuss will defo be back customer service great

I am very hard to please. My best friend being from China and owning a restaurant made me very spoilt. However I have ordered twice. My misses who isn't very experimental liked your chow mein and loved it and I will order again. Also nice...
