We are in our mid 60s - and love fish n chips - so a lifetimes experiences. This place - is the WORST - by a long chalk - in a league of its own. - advertises outside - "probably the best in Llandudno" - they need a white van, medics and straight jackets - must be delusional or cant read their reviews. Small fish, chips, mushy peas and two drinks >>> £17 + !!!! Frozen chips - and the fish looked like - one of those hot dog sausages - you get in a tin - with batter on (tiny & skinny). - I said i ordered fish not a battered sausage - he replied - that is fish. You could honestly fit the whole meal - on a medium bread bap. My wife couldnt believe - i didnt refuse it (as is my nature) - i said i was so shocked - i was actually - lost for words. Service was BELOW that of TVs "Fawlty Towers". Attrocious experience !! Had to rate it 1 - doesnt accept 0 or Minus

Decidió comer algo después de los fuegos artificiales en lugar de sentarse en el tráfico. Realmente desearíamos haber leído las críticas primero. Las porciones de pescado eran minúsculas, muy cubiertas de masa empapada. Las patatas fritas eran agradables y crujientes, pero desafortunadamente frías como piedras. Todo por el precio de ganga de casi doce libras por cabeza... tienen redes afuera para proteger a los comensales de las gaviotas: Sospecho que las gaviotas ya habrán aprendido la lección y se habrán ido a un lugar mejor (como el contenedor más cercano).

La comida era repugnante lo devolvió para un reembolso dicho directamente NO dada una respuesta grosera y poco profesional puede hacerte otra de las mismas cosas. Dije por qué querría la misma respuesta de comida vil fue que así es como lo cocinamos. Ninguna disculpa nunca experimentó un servicio tan grosero e irrespetuoso tan maleducado. Debería haberme dado cuenta de que fuera de las mesas y alrededores era repugnante demasiado consejo para la seguridad de los clientes. Cierre y envíe al gerente a un curso de servicio al cliente

El gran cartel en la puerta que dice “probablemente el mejor fish and chips en Llandudno” creo que escribieron “peor” mal. Fuimos a almorzar y pedimos un pastel de pescado con patatas fritas y una salchicha con patatas fritas. Solo para que me dijeran de inmediato que no tenían salchichas ni pasteles de pescado. Un poco de bandera roja para un chippy 😂 🙈 así que pedimos papas fritas dos veces y 2 bebidas. Pedimos una coca y una Fanta y puso una Fanta en el mostrador y preguntó ¿es todo lo que quieres? Así que dijimos que no, pedimos una coca-cola también solo para que nos dijeran “no tenemos coca-cola”, así que pedí una Pepsi en su lugar, inicialmente no se dijo nada sobre no tener coca-cola. Después de ir a pagar a la caja vi detrás del mostrador y desearía no haberlo hecho. Caminamos hasta el frente del mar para comer las patatas fritas, que está a menos de 3 minutos porque las mesas de fuera parecían jardín de cerveza sucia fuimos a comer las patatas fritas solo para encontrar que estaban duras y no cocinadas correctamente. Los míos eran tan malos que los tiré directamente a la papelera. No tenía sentido devolverles el lugar, pero sí que se vieran obligados a lanzarse. Necesitan quitar el letrero para un primer deseo que hubiéramos leído las críticas antes de desperdiciar nuestro dinero aquí.

Espantoso. Si no hubiéramos viajado, nos habríamos dado la vuelta y solicitado un reembolso. Calidad impactante, patatas fritas de catering y adolescente con actitud. No hay bacalao disponible y un pequeño trozo de Hancock proporcionado. Sobreprecio y agobiante. . Comió el pescado en segundos, lleno de aceite y envasó las patatas fritas. Realmente pobre. De toda la elección en la ciudad, tuvimos la desgracia de seleccionar esta solla!

We had haddock chips and peas and it was the worst we have ever had the batter was soggy the chips were overcooked and very little taste to the peas or any of it come to that.

Do Not Go!! Lad behind the till extremely rude and lied when asked if they were frozen chips. He was seen getting them out the freezer and lied when asked about them. Sign up on wall even saying freshly cut chips which is rubbish. Do not go

This is probably the worst fish and chips in Wales, not the best as advertised in the shop! £9.95 for the smallest portion of chips and a tiny fish, the quality of both was also awful. Please don't waste your money. Not sure how they are still in business tbh.

The worst chips I have ever eaten from a chip shop. We live in North Wales and went for a stroll along the beach tonight - though we would have a nice bag of chips while watching the sunset. Worst decision ever to come here. The staff were unhelpful and cocky and the size of the portion for a £5 was ridiculous! Chips were dry and burned and we didn’t eat the .Will never eat here again. The place was filthy too…. Only noticed on the way out! Don’t waste your money….

I actually feel robbed!!!!!! "Probably the best fish and chips in Llandudno" their poster says on the entrance to the shop... I can assure you they are not. What entices you in is a great deal on fish and chips for £9.95. However that is for a small portion. However the regular, which for 2 cost me £25. Is no bigger than the fish you get out of the supermarket... in fact i dare say their frozen supermarket fish is better too! Honestly I was livid to be served such a small portion for £25! The fish was small, the portion sizes were derogatory, the batter looks like it's been cooked using a lightbulb and the taste was bland at best. It doesn't deserve such a perfect location and to be able to serve up such rubbish. But this is perfect for them. Their mark up will be sky high. There only saving grace is the 4g in Llandudno is so terrible, no one can get one to read these reviews beforehand! Avoid these cowboys at all cost!!! Please do not be robbed like I was.

Never again, the worst Fish & Chips shop in Wales, Overpriced Fish was frozen and not cooked properly and staff had no manners absolutely rude shouting at customers whilst serving others customers - please don't come here unless you want a stomach upset - we ended up giving our food to theseagulls. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE EVER.

As we was near the beach thought we would have some chips they wasn't the best but they wasn't the worst either they filled a hole they tasted ok you didn't seem to get alot for your money £3.50 but we didnt find anything else we wanted

Man was rude who served us and he was shouting at us gave me no cheese on my chips (bare minimum) payed £8 for 10 chips no cheese and a small pot of gravy. Never go here people. It’s a disgrace I have warned you! That photo is after I ate 1 chip.

Absolutely awful keep away ! Rude unhelpful staff , was told they only do large portions which were small , way way way over priced , asked for some sauce for my little boy was told it was 50p ,only had a £20 note and they had no change so they refused to serve any sauce !!! Called in on Monday lunchtime. Was seen by a staff member but chose to ignore us at first. No sausage available so I had fishcake and chips and also got chips with curry sauce which came to just over m £13.00, which was ridiculous. Tables outside needed a good clean. Will definitely not be returning and should have read the reviews before I went in.

First off, board outside states 9.95 When you go in you have to ring a bell and wait at least five minutes for someone to come from the back and say standard or large. I ask what they s the difference, with the reply up to you. So I say standard. Then I was ask d for 12.95. When I pointed out the board states 9.95 I’m told that’s for a little fish. The board does not say this outside. So I pay the 12.95. Ten minutes later a call is shouted for me to collect. I couldn’t believe it!!! There was only about a dozen chips, I ask ‘have I paid 12.95 for this?’ And the server would not even give us a wooden fork, said they had none, but others got them, before and after. I believe we never got one because we questioned the price and the lack of chips. While waiting, a lot of people stopped to look at the advertised board then went in and ordered. Waiting outside for their order a lot of people where grumbling and disgusted with the difference between the board and the charge, people sad they didn’t like to complain but a lot of complaining was going on outside plus everyone complained to others about the size of their portions. Total ripoff!!!

Walked in and no one was at the front of the shop. Someone in the back who took 10 minutes to take our order. Had no change in the till so had to find the exact change. Food didn't take too long to come out but when it did it was shocking. Frozen chips, an awful beef sausage and lumpy gravy. We ate barely half of the food and paid £22. Would not recommend at all. Was considering feeding to the seagulls but didn't even think they would appreciate it!

An extremely disappointing experience today. Ordered large fish and large chips costing very close to £15. The portions we received could in no way be described as large. They were modest to normal at very best. Extremely poor value for money and had to wait an eternity for it to arrive. We definitely won't be visiting again.

This is not even a joke. Overpriced fish and chips where the fish is the tiniest sliver that makes Bird's Eye Fish Fingers look premium. The owners claimed chips were made on site from actual potatoes; they absolutely are not! Not a single bit of that meal for edible, which had to be thrown in the nearest bin. We informed the owners we will be leaving a review, they said they don't care about reviews and to go ahead because they know they can rip off so many unsuspecting tourists that negative reviews wouldn't impact their business. I beg of you. Please please please don't eat here.

Avoid, think they can charge what they want, tried to charge me £14.55 for a fish and chips then £9.95 as advertised to another person, exact same portions. Food very greasy not been drained properly and since when did a chippy use frozen chips. AVOID

First visit to the shop and Iit will be my last. The lad seving was clueless, slow and looked like he didn't want to be there. A few people inside ordering food and to be told it was cash only. One customer went and got some cash from the ATM and returned only to be told they had no change. I was told the same and when I asked him what he was going to do (maybe go and get some change) he shrugged his shoulders and said people should have the correct change themselves. Absolutely laughable non customer service. The other customer stormed out in disgust and I ended up paying £15 for fish, chips and mushy peas (£14 45 but I gave him 15 as no change) Could t be bothered to argue about the difference so I asked him to throw in a few extra chips. Ha ha yeah OK I recieved a small portion of overcooked frozen chips. The fish was freshly cooked and decent enough. When I questioned him regarding the cash only information, he told me there was a sign on the window. I did check and the sign stated "we take cash" hmmmm not quite the same eh. That joke of a shop must have lost many customers that day due to an absolute shambles of man management. If you are going to have cash only it might, just might be a good idea to have a decent float of change, and having a few signs displaying CASH ONLY.

Horrid chips and customer service. £3.55 for a tiny tray of chips and they're not even the usual chippy chips, theyre dry oven chips which seem to be flash fried to give them a slight look of being chippy chips. Avoid. Should have ran a mile when I read their sign which read: "probably the best chips in Llandudno".

Rude staff, over priced, under portioned - Stay away. You should be ashamed to serve the food you serve and get rid of the Saturday day rude male staff (or owner) for a business in hospitality there is nothing hospitable about this business. The worst fish and chips I've ever had in my life !!!. And at a premium price!!! They are disgusting. It was early evening nice and sunny, I'd looked forward to sitting by the sea with a chippy tea. When I Came across this chip shop, I went in the warming cabinets where empty. Oh, are you closed I asked? Oh, no, trade is slow at this time of day, so every order is cooked FRESH the guy told me. Oh great, I thought. Take a seat outdide he said I'll call you when your order is done."" Well there is two false statements to start with "cooked and fresh" the chips I'm sure where oven chips they obviously hadn't seen a frier (at least not today) they where so dry and tasteless. The fish had what ill discribe as an overcoat on of some sort of rubbery excuse for batter. Certainly not the lovely crispy texture associated with fried fish this was absolutely horrible. And the cost for this displeasure was £24 for 1 x small fish and chips and 1 x medium fish and chips (these terms I use very loosely) please, please give this place a wide berth.

Looking for a nice, crispy perfectly cooked fish and chips then avoid this plaice at all costs however if being served by rude and downright disrespectful staff is more up your street then this plaice is perfect for you. Staff: No communication or customer service skills, while our group were waiting for our food out of the way of the queue we were rudely grunted at to move outside into the rain. Food: Overpriced overcooked fish. Facilities: Eating area was littered with wooden forks which made the whole eating experience very disappointing and very off putting.

Really strange place. Told us that next door Cafe was owned by same people and had more options if we didn't just want fish and chips. We then ordered fish and chips from here and a jacket potato from next door only to be told that we couldn't sit outside their cafe with the fish and chips and we couldn't sit outside the fish chips shop with the jacket potato. They later even said that both businesses weren't related and not sure who said that when the lady was standing right there lol. Absolutely rubbish service and food. Just look at the "famous cod" that we ordered. I ordered a chicken burger and they refused to put sauce INSIDE THE burger, they said that they don't put sauce in burgers. Spent £30 which was a waste. Would NEVER go here again. Don't even trust their "halal certificate".

Please please if you have any value for your money please don't go here. The staff is so rude. My husband ordered burger and they put absolutely "no" sauce in it. When he asked for sauce they said that he has to pay for the sauce. My fish was the worst thing ever I had to throw my whole portion because I was worried I'll get food poisoning. Wanted to take it back for the refund but my husband stopped me as the staff was too rude before and he didn't want confrontations. Lesson learned: don't go anywhere before checking the reviews first.

Very poor customer service, staff are rude and abrupt. They charge a large amount of money but give smaller portioned sized foods. Staff asked me to wait outside whilst food is being prepared and after 10 mins I noticed my food was on the counter and had gone cold. Staff couldn't be bothered to call me in to collect food. The fish & chips and beef chilli is bland, over-priced and not value for money. Overall a pathetic and horrible experience as a customer. This is my first and last visit at this place as it's one of the most rubbish fish & chips places i've tried. 😡

After eating, I got gastroenteritis and really lay in bed for an afternoon and couldn't get out of the toilet for 1 meter. Both of them had such symptoms at the same time. Delayed all the next trips. And it was twice the price of fish chips at the dock. If you read this review and go to eat it It's really crazy

Attended on sunday during victorian extravaganza and was looking forward to a chippy, decided that we would support a local business rather than the stands...what a mistake!! £28 for fish and chips and a large portion of chips with 2 sausages. The chips were obviously frozen chips that had been chucked in the fryer, the sausage was not much better and the fish was full of bones. The worst chipshop i have ever been to!!

I agree with previous review. I asked for the advertised fish and chip special but was told they no longer do that (why advertise it then?). I opted for 3 fish and chips. This cost £36 and was dreadful. I think the oil needed changing as both the chips and fish were burnt and looked refried. The person who served me tipped one of the fish and chips all over the counter and picked them up and put them back in the container. There was no customer service to speak of, the people serving were sullen and either didn’t want to be there or didn’t want us to be there. A great disappointment.

I travel the country and this is by far the worst chip shop I have ever been in. £16 for two chips and the smallest fish I’ve ever been served. The chips were old and burnt. The containers holding the chips were flimsy and opened and fell to the floor as I turned to leave. I asked if it was possible to have another scoop of chips not a full portion. I was refused and was told I would have to buy another portion, after already spending £16 on two chips and one fish. I should have known this was definitely not the best chip shop in Llandudno as when I walked in there were old plates left outside and a few seagulls eating the left overs, I shouldn’t have bought any thing from here. Avoid! Avoid!!

We walked in and was met with the worst customer service we have ever experienced. I think it was the same dark haired guy who has been mentioned in other posts, but he was so unhelpful and it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than a customer. They said they had plenty of food and then told us they didn't have anything we wanted. We were so shocked by this, we left without ordering. Don't bother going here, there's plenty of other options around. I can't say whether the fish and chips are the best in Llandudno but I can say its the worst customer services in Llandudno.

He may have had a bad day, but when youre customer facing its not difficult to be polite.Asked about costs of food because the menu wasn't clear (special on the board was not the price we were charged). Told to stand outside and wait to be called after we had paid for our food (covids over now, and there was only 1 other person in there at the same time as us). £8.50 for a large chips that was enough to feed 1 toddler and 1 x sausage, but our portion was smaller than my sisters regular portion. Chips tasted awful! Limited items on the menu and completely overpriced (£1.65 for a bread roll!!) Food came in polystyrene containers (not very sustainable) and not wrapped in any paper so it was cold by the time we got back to our hotel. Honestly, I'd encourage people to visit somewhere else where the employers actually care about the importance of service, reputation, the environment and general politeness, not to mention adequate food taste and standards. Greeted by a sign on entry ‘ probably the best fish & chips in Llandudno’ they should be charged under the trades description act. £9.85 for a portion of chips and curry and another portion of chips. If that wasn’t bad enough, the chips were also frozen chips.

Literally has a sign up saying Fish & chips for £10.95, the man said it wasn’t on - 29£ for 2 fish and chips!!!!! Thing is, for that price you’d expect massive portion but came on a small tray - the chips aren’t proper chippy chips and overcooked and the fish’s were average - we were shocked!

Ordered chicken nuggets and chips. Had a craving for chippy chips so found this place walking around… chips tasted like oven chips… didn’t satisfy the craving. Also asked for a large chips but didn’t seem very large for the price. Nuggets was nice though.

Asked for 2 fish n chips young blonde guy said £20 then asked for 2 sausage and chips , 1 with gravy. 2 cokes and 2 waters. Vile staff. Vile food. Do yourself and your family a big favour and just withdraw £25pp from your ATM of choice and put it straight into the nearest bin. It’ll save you at least a thirty minute wait whilst witnessing the disrespectful behaviour of the foulest female on the planet, along with the kind of stomach upset you will never be able to forget.

The sign at the door says probably the best fish and chips in Llandudno! The reality is overpriced and very, very poor quality. The chips were probably frozen, they were dry and had that consistency you get from frozen chips. The batter on the fish had definitely seen better days. I would not visit this restaurant again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. There is nothing good I could say about this place. The portion was small, and there weren't even any bins to throw your rubbish away in the seating area! This is definitely one to avoid....

The food came out and I was disappointed to say the least. There was probably half a portion of very old and more than likely frozen chips. They were dry, chewy and had the consistency of frozen chips. At a guess I would say they had been standing for a long time. They definitely weren't fresh. The batter on the fish was not good, it was thick but not fluffy like a normal chip shop. The battery was also very dark which would suggest it being fried in old oil. We say outside under the shelter and once finished realised that there were no bins to throw or wrappers away. All in all, this was a very, very poor meal. Charging top prices for terrible food. Give it a miss, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Utter rubbish!

Avoid this place. Expensive, small portions, overcooked fish, no battered sausage, and to top it all, the chips aren't even big fat chip shop chips.

The food was overcooked and the curry sauce could have been anything, they only seemed to have fish and chips in stock despite the menu board having plenty of other options, I wouldn't have minded if the food was cheap however it was far from this being about the average price but the quality was far below average

We arrived at the chip shop which was empty at the time. I ordered two fish and chips, a carton of curry and mushy peas. He replied saying there was no curry or peas. I then ordered gravy, no gravy…. OK let’s have beans……. No beans. . As we were hungry we just ordered two fish and chips and he confirmed the cost would be £20.40. We had just £20 on us, we didn’t have our bank cards. I asked if he would waver the 40 pence….. absolutely no way could he waver 40 pence, he was not authorised. Shame they missed out on an order, especially during these difficult times. Sadly , , the young man was extremely unhelpful and quite rude……! We would never visit again. This was 7:50 on Friday 29th March 2024. (Easter Weekend).

Just called in for some food , no pies , no barm cakes , no mushy peas , asked for 2 fish and chips one with curry sauce , one with peas , no peas so 2 curry sauces , £24.95 smallest amount of chips , tiny fish and 2 half tubs of curry sauce , no bag , no serviettes , tiny wooden fork had to put salt and vinegar yourself , disgraceful not one complain but a meal deal from Sainsburys would of tasted better and there bland ,

Terrible chips must have been old

AVOID WASTING YOUR MONEY. I wish I'd read the reviews before wasting my money. The chips were still frozen in the middle & I'd get a larger frozen fish from a supermarket.

We were on a day trip with 2 hungry kids and we panicking because We didn’t know the area And this is the first fish and chips and chip shop we went into! Due to the EXTORTINATE prices I got a large chips and a chip bap. £9 for a stale bap with approx 10 burnt but frozen chips and a large portion of bland chips. Wish we would have read the reviews first or walked round the corner to Greggs!! You know it’s bad when the seagulls aren’t even trying to grab a chip!

Had 2 portions of cheesy chips and curry sauce. Thought it was all good tasted fine. Server was lovely and friendly. I would go back

Food is really nice. You don't have to wait too long either. Staff seems harassed without cause? Two people in the shop and staff acted like there where 100 people in the shop. Odd experience but the food is worth it

Oh my god! I wish I had looked at reviews first. Frozen chips. Overcooked but hard in midlle. Lad serving was so bloody rude. I got a refund. Actually laughable. Never seen anything like it. Ever

I wish we had read other recent reviews prior to purchasing 2x fish and chips… they are very accurate in terms of our experience. My husband went in and brought back to the car on an a very cold day and I knew immediately the chips were frozen oven chips by the look and the texture. Most of these were inedible hard and nasty tasting. The fish also struck me as frozen and all at an extortionate price.. spoilt our trip to Llandudno. My husband also said service questionable in terms of good service delivery and basic hospitality. Do not give your hard earned money to this business it does not deserve to survive (which as a business owner is a very difficult thing to say). Perhaps other fish and chip shops could open on a Sunday to accommodate demand and expectation of visitors.

Appalling, please do not use this place, should not be in business, chips terrible, extortionate prices for the food, attitude stinks. DO NOT USE.

Had takeaway chips and gravy, there was a hair on one of the chips, asked for replacements, the chips were undercooked, the gravy was given in a tub the lid didn't fit. Disgusting service, cost £8.55, extortionate!

The best chippy nr the tram was closed couldn’t find another nearby apart from this one oh dear the chips were chunky like frozen chips and half cooked and dry £3 day light robbery we had driven off with them otherwise would have got a refund the chips got binned !

Chips were frozen oven chips and half were still frozen in the middle. "Large"chips were tiny. Regular cod and large cod were identical in size. Batter was undercooked. Overpriced in general and server was quite blunt.

Excuse the pun but how this place has any custom amazes me. Unfortunately we did not read the reviews. Worst chips I have had. I suppose you live and learn

This has to be the worst service/food I’ve ever experienced. We waited inside for 10 mins without anyone coming out despite ringing their “bell”. Paid 30 quid for two large fish and chips and too curry sauces. And got what seemed like two kids portions. Upon serving the food he only had enough curry sauce for one despite charging us for two large ones. It wasn’t a large curry sauce. I honestly would not go here. I asked if he’d wrap them for me to take back to the hotel to my unveil he said the chip shop doesn’t wrap them and handed me an open tray. I’ve never experienced any service like this. DO NOT GO!

Chips were not fresh but frozen and not cooked. Fish had an awful taste. Service was very poor. Would definitely not recommend.
