Pointed in the direction of this establishment by a local when we were on a day trip to St David's. We had limited time and wanted some takeaway lunch. Excellent deli and plenty to choose for lunch. Good value, plentiful portions and very pleasant staff. Would certainly visit again, if we went back to St David's

Well well well what a huge disappointment. Been coming to St Davids for over 40 years from a young child. Always loved the Deli and was always a must for rolls and snacks. Rip off now, not the choice and also ready made rolls on baskets put of the fridge??? Asked if they did just slices of turkey to be told no go to the butchers down the road. Asked for 2 scotch eggs as always been a favourite to then be charged £4 each 😲 and to see other prices to think this is not harrods. Will pay for quality but 🤔 this is a rip off, tourists pay but will they be back????? Such a shame.

You know you’ve hit the right place for lunch when it has signs up saying they’ve sold all sandwiches for the day. Needless to say we made it there the following day to grab some baguettes. Good home made lunches and reasonably priced. Noticed they sold out again shortly after. Lovely to grab the food outside. Friendly crew running it all as well.

This deli is a 'must' for us during our St David's annual holidays. The quality of the sandwiches and other food is always of a high standard and the staff are always pleasant and professional. We were there last week and we were served outside under a canopy with social distancing being carefully practiced. This is usually our first port of call for a picnic lunch.

We visited St David’s Food & Wine several times during our recent holiday to Pembrokeshire. They have a wonderful selection of local produce and friendly knowledgeable staff happy to lend a helping hand and a recommendation to visitors. We tried several local cheeses including the terrific Caerfai caerphilly and some great welsh cider. Very good Covid-19-related safety measures. Thanks so much for taking the time to help us with your excellent recommendations!

Very Rude Lady Owner. The shop itself is overhyped locally and carries a well marked up tag on Biona and other products. The cassoulet is also sourced from unknown brand and also decoratively priced. Wines a nice small selection when you can’t wait. Certainly better than MS wines lol. Basically everything you can buy in the shop you can have delivered online. But my scoring is more about the neurotic lady owner. The shop deserves a higher score than 1. But sadly I cannot be so generous to the Lady who tries to manage it. I was happy being new to the area to find this nicely stocked little deli. Hah!..Short lived indeed!. Certainly however I was not expected to be shouted at walking into the shop from the owner in April. I was told that I was panic buying and scaring customers as I was wearing a face mask. When I was simply being enthusiastic in purchasing lots of produce I normally can find online. The gruffness from the lady owner was totally unprofessional. I explained to her that I simply was not panic buying. I spend lots on nice branded foods is as simple as that!. The sad part of the matter is that others are not aware of the indecorous confrontation. I shall never return to this shop. The irony is that only last week on opening I have seen her in a Face Visor and full PPE Lol. No excuses for poor manners. And I hope when they read this I will have a sincere apology at least and not a scrabble to of deceit or false accusations, hence I not take legal action for abuse. Btw wearing a face mask is the RESPONSIBLE thing to do as you have finally given over too doing!.

Was very disgusted with the way my family were treated at this shop today. We were sat eating food when a very unpleasent member of staff came and told us that we were on private property and that we would have to leave. My family consisted of 2 young children and their grand parent who struggles with their mobility. Yes we were eating food not purchased from the shop and were rudely told that the person who sold them to us was trading illegally and will be shut down by the council (I did go and tell him what she had said to give home the heads up because his oggies are far better). Any way had the grumpy old lady enquired some more she would have been told that our intention was to purchase delicattesants and also more food as we where going to the beach from their shop and as a family of 5 would likely been ii excess of £30-40 including drinks. However we weren't given that chance having been belittled by her attitude towards us. I even asked if. I could use the council bin situated on their property to dispose of some rubbish as I didn't want to be accused of littering or using a service I wasn't entitled to.

Well, here we are again, two years on. Last time I praised the food and criticised the service and was treated to one of the owner's typically lengthy and defensive responses. I"m back and find myself leaving a very similar review. Great food, but slow and soulless service. Such a shame - and now I gird myself for the response that I know will follow. Please don't tell me, again, how difficult the job is, in the limited space available and how hot it is. I'm in a very similar business and already know all this. Despite the chalkenges, we are welcoming and efficient. We don't keep people waiting. We don't make excuses.

We went a couple of times to this place which had very nice niche products. It is a bit of a mini Harrods. You can always find something unusual although, it is not a place to do the whole week’s shopping unless you are quite well off! We bought the sourdough loaf a couple of times which although slightly more expensive even compared to London prices, was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, when it came to the Oggies it was a totally different story. I have never had this before and I guess is similar to a Cornish Pasty, but it has lamb instead of beef. The filling was 99 per cent Potato Puree with 4 or 5 Peas and although it wasn’t unpleasant where was the Lamb? I suppose it was some scattered brown dots that you could spot if using a magnifying glass. It was not just my Pasty I am talking about, my wife had a similar one!!! At nearly £ 4 each it makes it the most expansive “Potato Pasty” on Earth! even if you were a vegetarian it would have disappointed you!!!

We regularly visit this deli shop, but as far as I am aware it is not a restaurant - a pity: they would do well to add on a bistro here! The only issue we have is the chaotic system of queueing for the deli counter. There is some confusion about where the queue should form and it does cause some irritation to customers, possibly also to staff serving. However, the service is quick and efficient, even at very busy times, and the food excellent - makes for top-notch picnic supplies. Lovely!

The shop likes to cater for some niche needs, which you can expect to pay a little extra for, but for a bit of bread I think they're asking for a bit too much to say the least! Especially when I could purchase 3 for less at the supermarket up the road. It's nice to support small, independent shops but pricing bread like this makes it impossible.I have found myself frequenting this shop less and less over recent times and this only served to remind me why I've been avoiding it. Which is a real shame as it has been a favourite of mine over the years.

At the back of the store is a well-stocked deli counter with pork pies, sausage rolls, scotch eggs etc., and lovely freshly made sandwiches with a lot of choices. I had the roast duck with plum chutney, which was fairly priced at £3.75 - the size of the sandwich as well as the quality of the ingredients was well worth the price tag. You wouldn't get a sandwich like that in M&S or Waitrose for the same price. There is also a wide selection of local cheeses and delicacies. It's often so difficult to buy good quality fresh picnic food but this store is amazing. They bake bread on the premises and serve a huge range of foods for all diets, vegan, veggie gluten free etc. We bought a great picnic here and ordered bread for later in the day when it was fresh out of the oven. Highly recommend a visit.

Have visited here a good few times while camping in Newgale. The deli is great, good choice of vegetarian pasties, samosas etc. Partner had a sausage roll which was fine but the scotch egg wasn't great. I personally find the food overpriced but thats just me. Also the place is so narrow its very difficult to browse when even slightly busy. Not sure if many of the products are local which is a shame as Pembs has some excellent produce. Blueberry jam is exquisite and I always buy a jar or 2! Very clean with pleasant staff and will definitely be returning!!

Not the cheapest place to grab some sandwiches but quality is worth it - baguettes were well stuffed! Staff were friendly and attentive.

Been visiting this shop for 25 years and always good. Great range of items and not bad veggie choices. Small shop but good central location.

great shop. Lots of local beers and ciders, reasonable range of wine. Good range of food essentials and also deli style extras. Not big but seems to have everything you need for picnics and self catering. The deli counter closes half an hour before the shop for cleaning. Lots of sandwiches and baguettes and pasties and samosas. The chap on the till who I assume is the owner is very affable and has offered advice re beer choices and always seems ready to have a conversation during the process of totting up the bill and paying. Would recommend not bothering with the drive to Haverfordwest for the big supermarkets and dont bother with delivery either (tesco dont deliver anyway to all the local cottages) you can get what you need here.

We visited a couple of times during our stay in St. David's, and everything we tried was lovely. I especially enjoyed one of the specials, the pulled cider pork baguette. Definitely recommend!

Brilliant deli with a huge selection of sandwiches, baguettes and pastries made on the premises with enough choice for anyone. (Priced around £2-£5) Also has a variety of local and not so local foods.

The food and drink is of a very high quality. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for! Great cheeses and lovely menu for ordering sandwiches, baguette etc.

This is more of a delicatessen than a grocery store. They have a very nice cheese / meat counter with some great local cheeses and offer a good selection of freshly made sandwiches - including fresh crab. They have a small but nice wine section with some good value offerings representing most of the great wine producing regions. Great place to provision yourself with some great costal path picnic fodder!

There is a banner outside this place, quoting a recent review in the Daily Telegraph to the effect of something like "probably the best made-to-order sandwich bar I have ever visited".Well, it's not bad in terms of the actual sandwiches, when you actually get them. But I would edit the banner to read "...sandwich bar I have ever stayed in". Quite a short physical queue took simply ages on my most recent visit - and this has been the pattern on every other time I, or Mrs Reviewer, has been inside. If you want a sandwich/baguette or any other deli product, my advice is to take a good book. And probably a folding chair or a shooting stick.Quite frankly, the sandwich production process is just comically disorganised. This is not the fault of the kids behind the counter, but a really stupid layout and overall "process flow".And it is, to be honest, not really good enough to have run out of everything but small baguettes at 2pm if you are aiming at the lunch trade. Please, St Davids Food and Wine, get it sorted! You are letting yourself down.

They made up a smoked salmon and coleslaw baguette, and a cheese and tomato sarnie for us, all fresh ingredients and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours later relaxing near a surfing beach. Highly recommended.

Popped in here before our journey home and picked up two beautiful baguettes, I was gutted this was our last stop in St Davids and not the first.. The food was freshly made and tasted wonderful.. The amount different foods they had on offer was tremendous.. Well worth a visit as soon as you get there.

It can often be tricky to find really good food to take away in the exciting and remote bits at the edges of the country. So it's always a joy to go back to St David's Food and Wine. Great crab sandwiches, really interesting pies, pasties, samosas and olives, plus loads of local cheeses. Make sure you get there early if the sun is shining, because the queue can get a little long.

Traditional, characterful pub owned and run by a decent man. Good local customers and selection of drinks. No food but if you want a welcome where you dont have to feel like a holidaymaker, this place is for you.

It was a rainy Sunday in Pembrokeshire. We were hungry, and a Google search pointed this place out. We almost knew what to expect and fancied a chinnese. Anyone with physical limitations do not try to access. No lights to the path and pitch dark. Once you're in it's cold and sparse. A few tables to accommodate sit downs but this place runs mostly on take aways. The cook was very busy. A young man taking orders, serving and dealing with customers coming in and out. Bit chaotic. We kept our coats on ate our dishes, which were nicer than expected. Worth a venture ... some fun a bit like faulty towers. We would go back.
