We ate here after an afternoon show at the Arena. We both went for a meal deal which includes a pie and 2 vegetables. I went for the goat's cheese and vegetable skinny pie with sweet potato mash and garden peas while my husband opted for the steak and kidney with sweet potato mash and mushy peas. Both meals were very tasty, but I was wishing I'd not gone for the skinny option as, with just a flaky pastry top and nothing else, it wasn't very filling. This is a good place to eat if you are short of time as turn around is quite fast.

Was at a weekend festival at the O2. Didn't want to use the 'stalls' inside the O2 arena as expensive and not particularly good (IMHO). Spotted the Square Pie place. A good variation on 'fast food'. You queue canteen style and get your food before finding a seat. You pick a pie (lots of choices), two sides (or more) had mash and mushy peas and meat or veg gravy. That was just under £8 per head - not cheap but reasonable for the area. Would certainly return.

This place was absolutely appalling from the service to the food to the decor!!! Frankly I don't think we have ever had such a bad experience! We ordered pie & chips but I noticed there were only a few chips on display so I asked the tall red haired female waitress with a pony tail if ,there were enough chips for one portion & she said yes. When they were on the plate I said that there were hardly any chips & she replied 'that's the way we do it'. The pies were just warm & tasteless with little filling & the few chips were cold, rubbery & disgusting. I told the same waitress this & she replied 'sorry' & walked away, back to where she was at the back of the serving area eating chips with her fingers which she didn't then wash, & drinking a chocolate milk shake looking drink! Totally rude & unprofessional, & to top it all she starts swaying to the music, taking another female waitresses arms up in the air!!! We also watched her wiping the area where the different foods are in servers with a cloth, & flicking any over spills back into the food servers! We could not believe what a completely disgusting place this is, & what a useless, rude & unhygienic waitress this was! Cannot believe that this place survives-it was virtually empty-absolutely no doubt why! Avoid at all costs however hungry you are. Shame on you Square Pie.

We recently visited Square Pie at the O2, wish we had not, my wife chose a pie and I chose 1/4 Chicken, we then looked at the veg and mashed potato, there was an empty chip tray and we asked if they had some more chips, no said the chap serving us so we reluctantly had the mash. £ 22.00 paid and the chicken had hardly any chicken on it and the so called mash was horrible. Would not recommend. We had to find somewhere else to eat after this because we could not eat what we had been dished up. We then saw that other people were being given chips, just to add salt into the wound.

I visited here with not much time to spare before a concert. It is entirely self service and the long queue moved surprisingly quickly. We had a pie each, I had the goats cheese and spinach with chips and mushy peas, my friend had the cheese and onion pie. Staff move quickly to clear tables and we did find somewhere to sit. It was a bit nippy, the fault of the O2 not the restaurant, as a large portion of the seats are semi outside the restaurant. The food got a little cold for that reason, but for taste and enjoyment I couldn't fault the meal, followed by a very good cup of tea. It's fast food, they obviously don't expect you to linger. Had I had more time I would have tried a dessert. The tin plates are a quirky touch. One bad point only, a unisex loo - with no loo roll. But all for £15 unbeatable value.

This was at the O2 on the night of the David Haye Comeback fight. Never heard of this (chain?) before and wanted something quick to eat before taking our seats for a fight which was over with quicker than we got served here! First impressions were they were out of some of the popular pies e.g. Steak & Ale. Also one of the sides (peas) was down to the last scraps! Drink selection available was poor. I opted for the Steak and Mushroom Pie with chips and baked beans. Nothing special and overpriced. Obviously most of the eating options available have a captive audience at the O2, so can overcharge and perhaps not bother too much about quality, but with hindsight wish I'd walked on by and given somewhere else a try!

I would visit more often this pie restaurant because food is never disappointing. This time I wanted to try the rotisserie chicken with chips and mash.Another great meal for about £10-12 if you choose a soft drink.Inevitably, chips are not like mash - that can be eaten even hours after preparing it - so that was the only bad moment of the dinner.Service is always quite basic but who was at the counter seemed on a bad/moody day despite being relatively polite throughout my dinner. Frankly, I cannot rate 5* this time for this reason, but no complaints about food..Still the best place to enjoy a great meal at the O2!

Service is quick. You then pay and sit down with your meal. Food was good - cheap and cheerful but just what you need before a concert. First of all I'm not completely convinced with the selling proposition. I don't understand what I can take or choose with a plate, if I can mix things for a fixed price, but that of course is the least important thing. About the quality of the pies (and side dishes) I can say they are pretty disappointing. First they feel a bit like uncooked, and then they are far too creamy inside, as well as the chicken dishes, or the smashes.. eating it all together is a bit nauseating.. It's nice something creamy, but when it's too much it all becomes very boring and uninteresting. So overall I wouldn't come back, and I probably wouldn't suggest it to a friend

I attended this pub on my own for 4 years whilst living in Manor Park (where I had never lived before) and I must admit the pub in the last 18 months pre post covid has been fantastic. The staff are welcoming, the atmosphere is great on weekends and it’s a great setting next to Wanstead Flats in the summer. It’s a pub and that’s what you should expect, nothing is perfect, however with the quizzes, live music from time to time, showing the football/sport in general and friendly regulars this pub has been a great place to be.I would recommend on a number of levels

I visited with a friend for a pre booked, three course dinner to celebrate my birthday and see Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland. ( Fabulous!). This was my first visit. The hall is beautiful and huge. We were seated at a table by a pillar with uplighting. Not good for my friend’s migraine. We asked to move and were. There was some confusion about all our details coming with us but all fine. My starter was crab cakes. Three tiny patties, fine for a starter, but I could taste everything but crab. The Waldorf Salad was mainly apple with a few bits of celery and leaves and the patties tasted predominantly of lemon. My main was Crispy Gressingham Duck. It wasn’t. The skin was soggy and the duck over cooked. With salad and a side of potatoes swimming in garlic butter. In the first interval dessert was a deconstructed apple crumble of sorts. Nice, but weirdly dry and a bit bland. The hall is beautiful but, on the ground floor area, you are seated alongside the busy bar area. Very noisy and bustling. The service was great, but overall I didn’t think our meal, at that standard of cooking, plus a bottle of wine was worth over £100 a head.
