Spuds & Co in Copeland

This has to be the best cafe/restaurant for food in Egremont. Staff are always,polite,well manered and friendly,Nothing is ever too much trouble.... .It is just a great place to sit or takeaway...and NO!! I am not a friend or family member this a 100 % true review.

Spuds and Co is a popular cafe in Egremont serving lunches, cooked breafasts, sandwiches and cakes at reasonable prices. £ 5 for a savoury cheese wrap and £2/40 for a latte is great value these days. My wrap was crammed with savoury cheese( although the flatbread was a little hard), was very filling and the latte was a decent sized cup. Staff were friendly, service good and the place was busy, a sign of a popular cafe.

Me and 3 work friends came for our breakfast on the morning of the 16th, my 3 friends had no complaints about their food so i have come to the conclusion that there must be some form of personal Vendetta against me as my breakfast wrap was absolutely hurrendous. My sausage was bit into and all i could see was pink, the hash browns were rock hard and the cheese wasnt even melted. Even the heinz tomato ketchup seemed off so i suspect it was switched with some inferior brand such as daddys. The only thing worse than the food was the gloom and doom attitude of the staff, absolutely 0 manners and i did not appreciate having my order taken from half way across the room.

Ate here a few times and food is pretty average. If you buy a breakfast, pay the extra for Cumberland sausage because the cheaper ones are frozen, and awful. Apart from food quality, service with a smile is important to me but haven't seen that yet, especially from the lady with botox lips. Maybe she can't

Went for a sandwich and ordered ham salad sandwich. The salad was very fresh, the bun was soft. I can’t honestly say it was the best ham salad sandwich over ever eaten. Will return again and again

My hubby had a Tuna and Mayo on white sandwich. The sandwich was packed and my hubby liked the fact that the tuna and mayo had been mixed together well. It tasted very nice. I had a baguette with ham and pickle. It also was packed with good lean ham. No fat or gristle. It was gorgeous and I only just managed to eat it all. Both sandwich and baguette came with salad, lettuce, slice of tomato, slice of pepper, onion and cucumber. I had a latte and hubby had a pot of tea. The teapot was cast iron and was quite heavy but it kept the tea hot for the second cup. The latte was very nice as well. Well recommended and at very reasonable prices. No inflated prices at this place. They also do takeaway and a good selection of Sunday roast dinners. (Sunday only). There is a delivery charge if you want it delivered to your door. Delivery to Egremont is £1.50 going up in price to £4.00 to Kells, Bransty and Sellafield.

Poped in to Spuds & Co for spot of lunch wife had Jacket Tattie and I had lasagna and few chips, all lovely and staff were spot on, definetly recommend.

Whent to Spuds & Co for breakfast with the Wife while our cars were in the garage, fresh cooked breakfast, plentiful of food for price service brilliant, little gold mine of a place and hidden jem, all the staff are a credit to the business. Definitely will recommend and will be back

Whilst on a Sunday motorbike ride with a mate in the Lake District we stopped in Egremont for some lunch. We asked a passing couple if they knew somewhere to eat and they recommended Spuds & Co. What a great find! The Sunday lunches are brilliant. Choice of three meats (and plenty of it) with Yorkshire pud and loads of different vegetables. (The leeks in cream sauce were particularly good). All at very reasonable prices!! So fellow bikers, if you’re in the area this is the place to go with great biking roads as well. Recommend by two hungry bikers!

We went here to buy a takeout lunch for our walk, and it was well worth it. The rolls were well filled and tasty, with a good selection to choose from. Much better than pre made sandwiches from a supermarket. Highly recommended

Lovely treat when off work. Jacket potatoes are cooked perfect, salad fresh and mayo is lovely. Spicy mince is a fav with cheese on

Warm welcome awaits. Service was fast and friendly. My friend's breakfast wrap was huge and amply filled. The cumberland sausage wasn't available and was substituted but only after agreement. My toasted teacake was served with jam and butter. Unfortunately the coffee was weak and tasteless. Although it was breakfast time, the waste basket in the toilets was already quite full.

Poped in for bite to eat while was getting work done on the car handy location on main street, really nice food verry clean staff grate friendly and alternative, definitely recommend will be back.

Beautiful takeaway Sunday dinners, always plenty and always hot! The jacket potatoes are absolutely lovely too. Staff are really nice, nothing is too much trouble for them. Always very busy but always nice and quick.

We love spud & co and often come here for meals. The baked potatoes are proper baked potatoes not like the part boiled ones you get everywhere else. Lovely crispy skins, Yum! Great tea and coffee, great staff and nice atmosphere what more could you ask!

Really good. Plenty of meat and lovely veg. Great service from ladies who are always so busy. Excellent value for money. We will be back

We came here for quick refreshment with colleagues: Cappacinio, Americanio, and white coffee.The service was excellent sitting in the table service next door. The Manager provided exceptional service, with good service gesture.My colleagues have eaten here before, provided positive feedback for the jacket potatoes, hand made beef salad bagettes. I certainly would come back here for met with colleagues, or with friends to have a chat. Good to keep valued services going for the community.
