Great pub with mixed punters, Clean and bright. Good selection of beers at reasonable average prices.

Pleasant staff, not too crowded, good pint of Guinness.

Miserable staff. Gin tasted weird, had a pernod flavour to it but should have been Whitley brand.

Decent night out, been out with my partner. Always great entertainment and lovely staff.

Came on a Saturday night for Kareoke and the DJ just didn't play a single song until we bought him a drink. I was with a big group of friends and none of us had a single song for about 2 hours. Rest of the staff were so lovely and friendly but the Kareoke DJ was a bit of a joke. Apparently they have different DJs every week so I'd definitely not recommend having this guy back (20/5/23).

Bashir is a great bouncer however on 20/05/23 DJ for karaoke was not appropriate for the event. Played hardly any songs requested despite promising. Unfortunately will not return for karaoke!!

Went recently during a visit with friends. Lovely pub, friendly and brilliant staff, beer garden is great! Dog friendly and family friendly, will be coming again on my next visit. Just a brilliant atmosphere!

We went in the Springvale pub to celebrate mum 80th albeit she's in a nursing home now and to remember mum late Husband Ray. The Springvale was there local and everyone knew them and each other. We enjoyed our visit as a family although its very different now to how it was over 30+ yrs. Felt welcome and had a really nice wine.

Great place. I checked with them first a day they confirmed I could bring fish and chips in and eat them there. I offered to buy the bartender a pint but it was declined.

My first visit and what an excellent pub it is. It's managed by a very experienced and capable host, Callum. I'd say that this place is not only in safe hands, but that it will thrive under his tenure - particularly with its new decor and wonderful beer garden (an understatement actually). I'll be back, with friends, family and Labradoodle - yes...it's also dog friendly!

Kid in there with black hair is not a nice person. So hire nicer people.

Disappointed to find Sharp's Doombar as the only real ale. A bland beer. It is like going out for a meal and having a boiled egg. On the plus side it is cheap and has a beer garden.

Awesome pub with a nice mix of regulars and students. Always a warm welcome from the landlord.

Great Karaoke on a Saturday night

Great pub with really friendly staff. I'm a fan of spirits and there was a great mixture. It has a huge garden with lots of room for punters. On a lovely day this is the perfect pub for a pint outdoors.

Fantastic place.laid on superb buffet for victorious south yorkshire county bowling team. Friendly staff. Most helpful and welcoming. Will use again.

Just staying near bye overnight. Found pub to be very welcoming and friendly staff. Will happily go back next time I'm in the area. All the sky sports with plenty of screens so as to get a good view from all angels.

If you like to watch sports then The Springvale is certainly worth visiting. They also have live music on some nights.

Wish I could give it zero stars. The pub is run by a neurotic, menopausal **** who brings all her troubles to the bar ( whenever she can be bothered to show her face ) And then deliberatelt sets about annoying everybody. Yet another manager who believes by serving you a pint it's her doing YOU the favour

Visited on New Year’s Eve with friends. A bit rowdy, but given the time of year, that’s no surprise. Decent selection of beers. Seemed very friendly.

Asked for a fresh orange and soda... The bar staff said they couldn't pour the juice into the pint glass and then guessed how much soda to add. Very odd.

Friendly local atmosphere. Great little garden in the sun. Note that all the reviews older than a few weeks here won't reflect the makeover the place has recently had. My initial review many months ago was 3 stars.

Landlady so friendly nice modernised pub

It's an OK pub. If you like beer you're better off at the Closed Shop or Hallamshire House round the corner though.

Nice little boozer, with friendly staff and reasonably priced food and drink. Free pool on Tuesday's and they have various events and quizzes running year round.

Average pub. Beer o.k. but food only available on limited number of days. Free wifi and a good sized beer garden to the rear.

Ok priced drinks. Typical pub selection. They often have sports on. At nights they have live music and a pub quiz. Nice beer garden. More of a locals pub.

Not the best, there are much nicer pubs close by. That being said it's not terrible and worth a visit if everywhere else is full.
