Great place, there were about 20 of us who went there. Staff brilliant, food was good. Great atmosphere. We had just been to a wedding, and we're going to do a pub crawl, but we stayed there as great.

A really nice traditional pub with a superb selection of ales and bites to eat. Would recommend to all, even ur gran.

What the hell did I put in my mouth? Was looking forward to a Sunday roast with my partner all week and was left gobsmacked by the state of the plate. Parsnips, undercooked. Carrots, undercooked. Broccoli, barely boiled. Chicken was so difficult to chew I might as well of thrown it to the dogs. The Roast potatoes and Mash were barely edible. Imagine paying £15 for a Yorkshire Pudding. And the Gravy was pure vinegar, pretty sure I have tooth decay now. Never going back!!

Great pub and good and dog friendly. Good selection of sausage rolls and pies. Excellent staff.

I ordered a burger from till. I asked about 5 times for a extra burger. They person behind the till seemed new so thats understandable. However i didn't receive the extra patty and was forced to pay for it after i already payed for in even tho i worked out i already payed for it. Completely ruined my experience here and won't return. Please avoid at all cost until the management either train people correctly so they dont make mistakes. Or don't double charge you for something you already asked for 5 times payed for and didn't receive

I booked a table 28th December at a very busy time in the afternoon. Warm welcome and food great. I left £60 deposit but forgot to remind the attendant when I paid. My fault. I contacted the bar via the online platform and found the team most accommodating and immediately returned my money, no question no quibble. I caused the problem, they sorted it out. Visit for great atmosphere, beer, food and most importantly, integrity. Thanks guys

9 of us called in after our Christmas Meal Gathering... Belgian Blue was on... Brilliant, we thought... Not at £6.10 a pint it isn't... Ridiculous price...

Three of use went for pre Christmas lunch and could not fault it . will definitely book another get together with them .

Popped in the roebuck first time in about 15 years .decided to have a bite to eat I had battered fish finger with all the trimmings my partner had the roast beef Bagette. both dishes were really nice .will not leave it so long next time. highly recommended .

Nice place but weird that they have called last orders at 9.30pm on a Thursday.

Great afternoon . Been back again. Can't fault this pub. Good prices on the beer even though its close to the town centre. They're fish and chips meal was superb.

Lovely pub, 2 pool tables, very friendly staff, good food and great drink selection, tables don't feel sticky, toilets are always clean and (for a city pub) a great beer garden, plenty of tables and space for multiple groups outside. For 4 doubles and a mixer and a plate of food, it cost around £30-£40pp so it's not going to break the bank either

It's difficult to be a city centre pub but this one does it very well. Really good, reasonably priced food, a nice, ever changing selection of real ales and a good atmosphere. The staff are brilliant.

Really nice homely food at a reasonable price. We had the vegetarian burger and the Korean tofu sarnie. We opted for chips with both and they are easily the best chips we’ve had in ages.

Food was amazing, very good quality and they had good music.

Start to finish, loved this experience… 2 home cooked Sunday Roasts (delicious) and a bottle of red wine for £30… crazy value for money… this is a must if you’re craving a Sunday Roast in central Sheffield… don’t even think about going anywhere else

We popped in for a quick half. Lovely beer, great pub, nice staff. We will be back, next time for a meal as well. From what we saw from others eating it looked good.

Good ales and very nice burger and chips. Sensible prices too. Would go again.

Can't sing the praises enough of this place. Never been before and wanted lunch before the train to Manchester. Varied menu even for a Sunday. Ordered a roast dinner and Fish & Chips. The batter was unreal, unbelievably crispy and the fish was fresh. Portion was perfect but the chips were the highlight. The roast dinner was also cooked to perfection and went down a treat. The pub is really cosy. Will definitely come back when I'm next in Sheffield.

My friend had a lovely meal and I had a lovely drink of Aspall cider. The staff were polite and helpful, very nice people. A great pub which I recommend highly

Went in, ordered double gin and lemonda and pint of neck oil. Cost me £17.20. Joke

Went for a pint, decent enough place but paying nearly £15 for two pints meant we didn't stay long.

OK pub but the toilets absolutely disgusting, smell hits you before you even get to the door.

Well sized pub with covered outside seating. Food is excellent, a step up from fare you'll find in most places. Great beer selection as well, with 6 cask ale taps providing a good range.

A proper pub! Nice layout with plenty of seating area and space. Good selection of interesting beers. Outside space looks good (but it was raining for this visit).

Terrible food, beef was tougher than old boots, sausage was really salty and just plain dreadful. Speciality cider not kept in the fridge. Just avoid.

It was a very quiet lunchtime but the burgers were really good and the staff friendly.

Perfect Sunday lunch pub. Every part of the food is so well thought out. Who knew cinnamon went so well with Sunday lunch!! The service was impeccable. Big shout out to all the staff and especially Lewis who went above and beyond to cater for our every need. Thankyou Lewis 😃

Nice pub good service, a shame about the food situation, kitchen was closed. And people left because there was no food 😒. A good selection of beers and lagers though.

Avent been in for years found it was dog friendly only a few people in had food chose the pie it was lovely staff couldn't have been nicer

A very smart quite city centre pub small friendly centre local pool room and outside garden on front of house, tidy place well looked after, thank you.

It’s very rare to see a pool table in a pub in the Sheffield City centre, never mind TWO! Very good selection of drinks available and really lovely staff.

Never been before. Nice little pub , good selection of beers and lager. Liked the fact it had pasties and i think suasage rolls on offer at the bar (hot).

Awful staff, my partner was brought the wrong meal and the chef flat out refused to correct it as he ‘couldn’t be arsed’. The server who was dealing with it for us was also really unbothered and unapologetic about the whole thing, he just said that there was nothing to be done and gave us a refund without even trying to get it sorted or ask if there was anything else they could do. Really disappointing as my partner was nothing but polite about the whole thing and just wanted the meal he had actually ordered and the staff were just rude about the whole thing, especially as the mistake was from their side.

Was given incorrect food only to be told the chef “ couldn’t be bothered “ to make me a new one so I left hungry

Love the food But I have 1 criticism why does the food service come off early ,thought it was just early on Sundays . But visited again on Wednesday & the menus were took away at 6.30 pm Why so early .

Smaller pub, just on the edge of the city centre and close to Sheffield Hallam University main campus. Staff are friendly, although service sometimes a little slow, with poor listening skills on occasion (wanted meat and potato pie, but rather than say it wasn't available and state the alternatives, my friend kept being overridden with "so steak and ale pie?") Food good quality and reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

This is one of those pubs that's been around forever and the quality goes up and down. I'm assuming as it changes owners. In October 23 I can't knock it. The food is tasty and appealing. The drinks are reasonably priced compared to other parts of town and the staff are very friendly. As its close to our new office it's become our local and hope it remains as it is for a long time to come.

Food lovely even though there had had a fire in kitchen. They worked efficiently quickly to rectify it and still serve meals. Well done will return.

Never in my life have I met anyone as rude as the guy who works there! Chubby red head, he should not be working in hospitality. I will never step foot in that pub again.

Expensive beer, food tastes average

Okay food with a very long wait. Staff attitude and attentiveness was awful, seemed extremely unhappy and were rude to many of us from start to finish. The food was hit and miss, some good and some bad. Seemed overpriced for the whole experience.

Always friendly bar staff and excellent real ale selection.
