The food here is always amazing in both taste and appearance, we can’t resist getting the full three course each time my partner and I come by to try something different! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the service is always excellent and speedy

Had a really lovely meal at the Spring on Christmas Eve. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We have absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend.

I had lunch from the festive menu. I thought that the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The food was delicious. I only have one issue that I think could be improved on. The vegetables were a little undercooked for my liking. Apart from that everything was spot on. I have been twice now and I will be back.

Amazing food, lovely staff and overall excellent atmosphere.

The mushroom risotto had no mushrooms in. If I’d been told it was a pea risotto, I could believe it. When queried a few mushrooms were added, but it still tasted of nothing. My husband’s surf & turf was good, but tiny and expensive. After one Doom Bar we were told it had run out and the line was being cleaned. Only other line was also being cleaned and despite being a pub, they sold no bottled beer. Finally, the white chocolate brûlée was not properly brûléed, was white/lemon in colour but had no taste of chocolate, just a bit lemony. The atmosphere is rather bland and service was just on the right side of civil. Nothing overt, just not friendly.

Ours was a group of six friends out for a Christmas gathering. The food was excellent, there was a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. Everybody had a great time 😁

Georgia, Tasha , Amy , Paris Megan are all so lovely and welcoming can have a laugh with them the steak is absolutely amazing and the bearnise sauce , the long bramble is amazing it’s like going from home to home down there they all know me in there now thank u guys for making me feel so welcome down there

Good gastro pub, but can be expensive. £55 pp for 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine. The ventilation was poor on our visit, with unpleasant smells, especially near entrance area.

The Spring Tavern is a great venue to dine at. My party of 4 people had a lovely time there today. It was for us the total package. The service was excellent from a very friendly and efficient serving staff. Everyone's meals lived up to their expectations. Each item cooked perfectly. And because of the staff, the atmosphere was perfect! I am happy to say that I am more than happy to eat there again. An oasis in an ever growing desert!

I came here for the 1st time and I can’t express how much Georgia has made my experience so special and amazing! She was such a great server! I had the scallops to start and let me tell you they were the best I’ve had considering I normally eat fine dining let that show you how good they were. I had the lamb for main and tbh it was not medium rare, but that’s on the kitchen .. overall I will definitely be coming back as ambience, service and food was worth it! Give 5 starts definitely 💯

My first visit in many years. Absolutely magnificent Sunday roast, best ive had. Good portions, perfectly cooked. The service was exemplary, with a member of staff even going out to buy candles for my dads birthday! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, better service than top london restaurants ive visited. Bar service also very good with friendly staff all round, it makes a big difference. Well done team, ill visit again and more often. Thank you.

Love this place...The waiting staff helpful and attentive (however the young lady didn't fully know the drinks menu) food arrived quickly and was very nice. The bill was very reasonable.

Great service shame about the cost. I expect to pay good money for good food . On my visit 30 pounds for a tiny steak and 14 chips was over priced . Shame as everything else was great

Excellent Friday lunch at the Spring, Amie, Luke, Issy, and Megan were great hosts extremely attentive polite engaging and made our last experience at the spring an enjoyable one, the food and customer service was superb -what an absolute pleasure it was to visit the Spring with friends who equally commented on great food and service. Looking forward to returning again.

Fantastic food and lovely service from Amie, Georgia and Paris. We stuffed ourselves with the sharing doughnuts, crab on sourdough and sticky chicken but still managed to polish off the mains of dirty burger and seafood linguine. All delicious! Too full for pudding but will try to sort that out next time!

The service was nice and quick. The front of house was very welcoming. There was a small gap between starters and mains so we had a larger gap between mains and dessert. All the martinis were delicious and there was a large choice of alcohols as well as a large wine menu. There was not a specific vegetarian menu but all the options were available.

Couldn’t have what I wanted on the menu because the iPad said NO!!! Seriously if you have things on the menu just because you can’t tick it on an iPad the waiter should have offered to write it down for me. I am following a very strict diabetic diet and should have able to pick and choose items on the menu. Found him to be rude and unhelpful and quite sarcastic! Won’t be returning

Dylan and Amie were our servers and they were excellent. The food made by Vali and Frankie was exquisite will definitely coming back and well catered for vegans

The initial service was slow, the table and starters came out together when I think they should have been separate, other than that the food was amazing great taste and the best rib eye I’ve had in ages, well done to the chef and staff

On a very busy day (Father’s Day) service was exceptional (thanks to Jason and Dylan). Food was all presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We enjoyed roasts (duo of beef and trio). Both large portions but one person versus sharing. All cooked to perfection! Impressed how speedy service was given how busy you were too. We then enjoyed after dinner drinks in the beer garden. A fabulous visit. Thank you!

The food was delicious...I had the pork with scallops..we didn't pre book so ate in the pub which was beautiful...dogs are allowed..the outside seating was lovely but unfortunately the weather wasn't. I think it will be lovely outside on a sunny day but would advise booking in advance. We ordered at the bar service was good we didn't wait long for the food.

Been here many times, good pub, the one I'd most likely visit when in Ewell Village - drinks are nice, food is decent, staff are great - the vibe is very family-friendly.

I ordered a deliver roo roast but was no option to order extra gravy on the sides. I rang up explaining could I please have extra gravy this young guy Conner was like absolutely and I did get what I wanted thank you Conner xx

Nice family and friends orientated pub with a large outdoor space, no sport. Service is decent and quick, prices are fairly typical London rates Well situated and easy to get to via bus, makes for a nice evening sitting outside in warmer weather

Been a resident of West Ewell for 45 years and used to use the Spring a lot. Because of quality of food stopped going a couple of years ago. Today being our 40th wedding anniversary decided to give the restaurant another chance... We ordered. House Red wine (cheapest) £22.50 Starter Parfait (pate) £7.95 Seabass £19.75 Sausage & Mash £16.95 Results... Wine was left unopened for 15 minutes before we asked why, then we were not offered the opportunity to test it Parfait was OK but very small portion 2 small Sausage's, 1.5 onion rings, 4 green beans and a spoonful of mash potatoes Undercooked seabass with skins still attached, hard peas, hard new potatoes Overall not a good experience. Must stress girl serving not at fault seemed embarrassed

We had the roasts and they were amazing. Everyone had different meat and each was cooked perfectly. The medium cooked sliced beef was excellent as was the pork. The only challenge was the speed of service, which I can only take for them being so popular and busy at the Sunday lunch rush. The food made up for it, and we didnt have to wait for desert as we couldnt squeeze in anything else!

I love the Spring Tavern Tavern. Proper Pub Nice food, Great with the kids Paris is a lovely waitress, had fun with the kids, gave them colouring and said they could put their "art" on the wall. I just like taking my family to the Spring Tavern

Fantastic atmosphere, service and food in the local pub. The colouring pencils for kids were a great added bonus too. Food was absolutely delicious, drinks were on the pricey side, but lovely all the same.

We were looked after by Connor and food and service excellent.

The staff were as ever fantastic and friendly and the meals were absolutely superb as ever. If I was to offer criticism then I'd be a liar. Whenever I think there could be improvement, the tavern has a knack of foreseeing that before it even presents itself. I was particularly impressed with the dessert/cocktail combo, most satisfying indeed.

We love the atmosphere, the environment, the staff are all brilliant, the food and drinks are also delicious! I’m attempting to get through the whole menu. We had a nice seat by fire which we requested, we also sometimes bring the dog and he’s also welcomed too.

Great local for gastro pub dining or a drink. Prices are pretty reasonable and the staff are friendly.

Fabulous food and drink, attentive waiting staff, accommodates large family groups. You could improve on the welcome, that could have been more of a welcome rather than the negatives of my booking!
