Brilliant little gem of a bistro. Friendly. Good lovely. Great value for money

We were on holiday here and ate at the bistro two nights. Food was excellent and the staff are brilliant, friendly and personable.

Wow! What a gem of a restaurant ! Food superb, made with love by an Italian chef. Service second to none and an amazing atmosphere with caring staff. What’s not to love !

We went as a party of four for a Birthday treat. All I can say is it was wonderful. We had planned on having a Sunday lunch, but once we viewed the menu decided to go for the Bistros own speciality fayre. The food is absolutely delicious. The service was great. Will definitely be going back again. So lucky to find it just a few miles from our home. Thank you to Moses and his team.

One word sums up my experience here!! STUNNING Food was excellent, atmosphere wonderful and the staff were extraordinary. Worth a visit if your in the area and worth a trip over if your not.

Myself and three friends visited this lovely little bistro for the first time and had a fabulous time the owner Mosis was a great host and made us feel very welcome the food was delicious I had the duck it was perfectly cooked we will definitely be returning again and would really recommend that you give it a try

Been a few times, Moses is a great host and very attentive and friendly. Food is always excellent and surprisingly low prices! A little gem of a place and a great local asset. Please try, you won’t be disappointed. 👍

The food here was perfect. There were 4 of us and we all commented how delicious it was. I had Duck which was cooked perfectly. In fact its the best I've eaten. We will definitely eat here again.

We really enjoyed this place the food was outstanding. Value for money the only criticism would be that it felt a bit cramped.

Good evening, Limited Italian menu but tasty. Small. Tight seating. No parking (careful not to park in the Castle carpark or you get a fine). Only one loo.

Excellent food on our first ever visit. The host Moses was very welcoming too. Every dish from starter to main and Dessert so flavoursome.

Had yet another beautiful meal here this weekend. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We’re so happy the village has a great restaurant. We will back next weekend with friends.

Our friends had eaten here before and recommended we all eat after a golf open. Great service and a super lasagne so I’m definitely coming back.

What a Gem!!!! Like a little slice of Italy nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside. We had been holidaying here as a family all week and wanted to have a special dinner out on the last evening. When I researched what was about we found 'The Bistro' just a mile from our holiday cottages and the recent reviews where glowing. I booked an early evening table for the four of us. The moment we arrived we were greeted with warm friendly service from the lovely gentleman owners. We were informed any meal could be served as a half portion for our young boys. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, homemade, and ample portions! My son couldn't finish his pizza which was kindly boxed up for us to take home with us. This is a kind of establishment is a find, it's not often you experience this kind of service and food and the atmosphere was buzzing and customers kept coming in constantly while we were there, which has to be a good sign. The service was so attentive and the Gentleman were having fun with our boys and making them laugh. It was a pleasant change from the starchy irritable service that seems to be common practice these days, or worse still being ignored or made to wait ages for everything! We sat in the delightful conservatory which was the perfect temperature on this chilly British summer eve, and in better weather I imagine the patio beyond this would be lovely to enjoy the meal on, and inside looked equally nice. I understand this is fairly recent as an establishment, and I hope it continues to keep receiving rave reviews as it really is worth 10 stars not 5, and I highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area! I had the garlic bread with tomato and the pollo suprema. Both tasted stunning and arrived in perfect timing. The service was 10/10 with genuine friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend and I am already planning to revisit, much like a lot of the other customers that we spoke to :)
