Had a great time here today playing Shuffleboard for an hour, it's so much fun and easy to play! Much prefer this shorter table version of it. The Food was also quite nice, bought the Buffalo Wings, the Classic Nachos & the BBQ Pizza 🍕 All in all great experience! Thank you for having us.

It was awful. Paid £20 to play shuffleboard and there isn’t even a game to play.

We started off rough with the security at the entrance coming across as biased to use this word loosely. As a group of 11 adults 2 in their early 20’s and 9 over 40’s we were all asked to show our ID. Some of us didn’t walk with same and offered to show it via phone but he was not accepting this saying that could be fake and it was important that we walk with ID, it because of who we are. He then clarified saying we needed to prove we’re over 18, then 25. As time was going for our 20:10 slot, we asked to speak to someone for a refund of over £200. This is when he preached to us about walking with ID and allowed us in. His colleague appeared uncomfortable but did not intervene. The reason for the 4 star despite this abhorrent start are quite a few. The patrons were friendly and interactive clearly there for a good time. We were adamant to have our visitors enjoy an evening out in Reading before leaving the UK. The location and ease of finding Spinners was brilliant. The bar staff were lovely and friendly made us some of the most delicious drinks I’ve have since coming to the UK. The ambience was excellent and the games was just what we needed, even heard some soca music We will definitely come again as friends and family visit for vacation. Altogether we spent close to £400 leaving just before closing time, what a shame it would have been for 1 person to potentially cost an establishment money.

I have been to Spinners several times and have never been disappointed. The staff are helpful and friendly and the management are very customer focussed. I would highly recommend

Went here 8 Dec for bowling booking 1pm under a friend's name. the employee (man with blonde long hair) was extremely rude. The balls got stuck and weren't travelling into the rack correctly. We had picked them up several times and put them into the rack but after doing this multiple times we gave up as what's the point when it keeps happening. The employee then storms over and made the very passive aggressive comment of "thanks for doing this yourselves".... Well 1 because a paying customer shouldn't have to pick up bowling balls from the return line 😒

Electronic darts was great fun. There's music but you can still have a conversation, which is great

I recently visited Spinners and had an incredible experience! The atmosphere was welcoming and lively, and the service was top-notch. We went for our Christmas do. As a large group, we were split into 2 groups for darts and golf and everything was explained. While playing the games, food kept turning up. The food isn't anything fancy but it is tasty and hot. They also catered well with dietry needs. The bar service was quick with good measures for our tokens. Everyone had fun especially the golf and at the end there was still more food coming. A great afternoon which all of us enjoyed. Thank you Spinners for arranging a great event

Have been here twice; first for crazy golf during the day, and the second for darts in the evening. The golf is an incredibly cramped affair. I feel like they've tried putting too many holes into a small space. We ended up having to balance on boundaries, course edges and the space room between the holes whilst awaiting turns - not ideal. The holes themselves were good, but overall a bit disappointed with the cramped layout. On the second, separate occasion ~10 of us played the interactive darts. This was really good as there's a lot of different games to play so we a) didn't get bored of them and b) they were really good games. We ordered food at the darts, quality was good. However, our session was 8-10pm and the kitchen closed by 9pm. None of the staff informed us of this and so we had barely ordered enough food for half the group by this point. We had a lot of hungry people who needed to grab some dinner afterwards. Disappointed with team working there didn't let us know prior to the kitchen closing and we'd have ordered a lot more food in time.

Great fun for a group of people or a date. Decent prices. Good night out🤪

Held a team event of darts and bowling, everyone had a great time. Food, drinks and service were all great! Seamless booking process, Keris and Richard couldn't have been more helpful when booking this for 35 people and catering for the few who had allergy requests. Would highly recommend!

Went here for my partners 30th birthday on the 2nd November. The bowling was good but it was a shame about the rude, unprofessional staff. Firstly they were not serving members of my group which they could see had been stood at the bar waiting for ages but would serve other people coming up to the bar. Secondly we bought in a cake. We were told we could light candles etc, we lit them and started walking and singing with the cake for a male member of staff to come aggressively running over shouting no flames, no fire and flapping his hands around like a headless chicken. He then blew all over our cake - absolutely unprofessional & extremely unhygienic. I understand they were worried about setting off the smoke alarm but had this been calmly relayed to us we would have blown the candles out ourselves. We spoke to the manager who was actually very pleasant & apologetic. However after speaking to us, I noticed he spoke to security who then was eyeing us up for ages - making us feel very uncomfortable for something that wasn't our fault at all!

This place is fantastic. The games on offer are so much fun, we played mini golf and shuffleboard with the kids and we all had a brilliant time. The staff were excellent, Julia, the bar manager and the bar staff were so friendly and we just had the best time as a family, thank you Spinners!!

It is the most stupid website to booking any game. You have to choice how many people are, what time would you like to play and then a game type and just after that system going to check, and if no available time for this game you have massage about “sorry, you have start again from beginning” instead of just show me available time!

The place has great potential but unfortunately it seems to be run by very young and incompetent staff. We had a large group booked in for the evening, we were planning to get food and play mini golf. We ordered drinks and one of our party with medical issues queried about food, staff said they couldn’t take it on the course, we highlighted the medical need but they essentially said we had to get on the course as they had other groups, we stated we would just have to order after and “hope they didn’t pass out”, at no point did they tell us the kitchen was due to close shortly. There was no instructions given by staff or wifi offered, but we worked out the website for scoring, half way through our game signal was lost and when reconnected if asked for a code to return to our scoring page, I spoke to 4 different members of staff, including what appeared to be a supervisor of some description, each said they had never seen the page before and didn’t bother finding out how to get said code so we lost our score data. After the game we returned to order food, they told us that the kitchen was closed. Very disorganised, no one knows what’s going on, really bad customer service and poor attitude of staff. Owner should really have a rethink and invest in some staff training. Real Shame.

The place looked like a good place but I had the worst experience, we had a group of 9 people we booked for a 5.20pm session and they told us we needed to leave by 4pm because they had a booking for another group that hired privately at 4pm and expected us to be out by that time. Was so but we couldn't even go to the 3rd hole before the kicked us out. Very bad.

Terrible experience. We booked a slot for 9 people for 90 minutes, and we were kicked out in 20 mins because there was a "private" booking for the whole venue. Wasted time

Booked for a group of 9 three weeks ago and arrived today to be told to leave after 10 minutes because they booked another private party being booked for in the same time. They made no offer for refunds and no effort to cotact us beforehand to attempt to reschedule. They expressed 0 care for the mistake they made and were rude our whole time there. Our group travelled from all over the uk for our cousin's birthday and this ruined the day we had planned

Seemed like a good place,booked a slot for 9 people, we drove all the way to reading to from Milton Keynes just to be kicked out in the first quarter, because other people booked the whole place, am saddened by the unprofessionalism and ill treatment, of taking an off day for a birthday just to be let down, management need proper scheduling of customers, and all customers matter, they should really should put some consideration

your website is down today - trying to fill in a form for a group bookign so I can get some kind of costing but you get to the bottom and terms and conditions is cut off teh actual webpage so cant tick it and there is no submit button. Tried to call, your voicemail wont let you speak to a human for group booking it refers you back to the website to fill in the form - which as iv decribed above is not working. Pressed two and it it says this mailbox is full ??

Played golf, great fun, bit tough for the smaller kids, but we had a good time.

Worst place ever to visit , do not come here your session will be cut short and is a complete waste of money and time. Beverages and customer service as bad as each other so you could imagine how the food taste.

Came here for an after work event treat. Walked past this place many times and never knew it existed. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and service was good... didn't get to have any food though so I can't comment but for playing indoor crazy golf and electric darts was fun. Hope to visit again.

Not worth a visit. Very poorly managed shambles, underwhelming, overpriced and overrated. 0 atmosphere, boring music, design, and lighting for a Friday night. Staff are doing their best, polite and efficient but lack training & management, making service pretty lacking as staff didn’t really know what to do or how to run the show, and lacked confidence. Pizza crusts and litter left on the floor of the (very small, two aisled) bowling alley. Tables were dirty, seating was cramped. “Crazy” golf was sad, dilapidated, and confusingly bad. The course itself doesn’t really work due to damage to the astroturf, chunks missing from slopes, broken walls, and a broken windmill. It’s also extremely small and poorly organised, with no staff around keeping things running smoothly, so lots of groups of people were bumping into each other and getting in each other’s way.

Didn't purchase any food or drinks during the visit however had a great time partaking in a game of Bowling. Easy to book online, and not overpriced compared to some places. The other activities such as Crazy Golf and Darts also looked worth checking out but that'll be the next visit.

Enjoyed mini golf here. Kitchen had closed when I arrived, so no food available. The bar is however well stocked.

We went recently, a group from working looking for a fun afternoon...and that is exactly what we got!! Great venue, brilliant staff and perfect for an afternoon/evening out! We had a great time at Spinners for our work event! The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Walked in and booked bowling for myself and 2 colleagues, no immediate slots available but did have a lane 1h 30 mins later. We pre-paid and thought perfect! We can grab food first. Returned 5 mins early to a very confused staff member staring at the screen. The staff member went and got her colleague who assisted us and again, blank expressions and literally no information provided to us, just muttering and button pressing. (Something about people already being on and taking them off etc) Both staff members disappeared for around 5 minutes, then went about their duties with small times engaging behind the bar. Eventually the original staff came back and said there's been a booking error and the earliest we could get on is 30 mins later. Then proceeded to tell us they actually turned up late and had just started bowling. Not a huge issue waiting 30 mins but in terms of service, communication etc it was abysmal. Place itself is nice, quirky and has plenty to do. Bowling balls need TLC desperately but it was still a fun game. Cheap and would def recommend but just don't expect excellent service. Guys, if you make a mistake just own it, it makes it better for the customer and just a but of comms will ease the confusion and make happy customers.

Really good atmosphere! Absolutely loved the food! The garlic and cheese garlic bread is soo good! The golf course is a bit small! But really good!

Had a lovely golf experience. However it was quite small you could easily bump into another group and your golf ball could easily go to the next hole if you hit a bit too hard. All the same it was fun and quite challenging 💪🏾😃 the drinks were a bit costly. The staff were very friendly and the deco and ambiance was brilliant!! Would definitely recommend.

Decent bowling alley, pretty basic but did what we needed!

Bowling was on a really strict time slot and cut itself off at the end of the time period - that would be fine but we had to wait around twice for a member of staff to come and unjam all the bowling balls so we could actually play? I was cut off on my very last go and tried to explain to them that we had to wait for them to unjam their own machinery and they were very unsympathetic because there was ‘another group next’ (it was one go). We stayed to finish our drinks and the group showed up ten minutes later. It was just weird! The floor before the bowling lane is also very worn through and slippery so be careful! Two hardworking staff members struggling behind the bar as the only staff available to manage the bar, the darts, the mini golf, the bowling, and a busy work party - scheduling just two young women to work a busy Friday night isn’t best form really. I hope more staff were rota’d as it grew busier.

Decent place for bowling and mini golf but is quite small and the mini golf is a bit lacking.

Absolutely rubbish place, just payed over £30 for the worst mini golf course I’ve ever seen took all of 20 minutes for 4 of the s to play it, no theming at all. The course was so tightly packed together you had no where to stand and it was over booked with people waiting for a very long time to finish play. DO NOT COME HERE!!

Really good vibes. I've gone twice, both during the day so it's not been "busy" but i like it when it's a little quieter so worked well for me. It is a little pricey but the vibe and atmosphere is great! I've played the mini golf course, bowling and the shuffle board. I haven't tried the food yet, so will defo be trying it next time I'm there!
