Spicy& Tasty Chinese Restaurant in Manchester

It was lovely we ordered schiuan chilli beef and spicy pork. The service was fast and they were helpful, I keep coming back!

The overall experience was okay—nothing particularly impressive, but nothing terrible either. The food was quite average; while it wasn’t bad, it also didn’t stand out in terms of flavour or authenticity. On the positive side, the service was decent—the staff were polite and attentive enough, which made the dining experience more pleasant. The pricing was within a reasonable range, not exactly cheap, but also not overly expensive. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. While it’s not a place I’d go out of my way for, it’s an acceptable option if you’re looking for a casual Chinese meal.

Very good quantity of food. Enough for 2 People if they buy one portion. Egg fried rice and noodles were good. But the cashew chicken had too much corn flour.

The restaurant was freezing, nearly every customer was wearing a coat inside, the food came out very very quickly - It is definitely not made to order and probably microwaved, the atmosphere was not great it was too quiet and finally some of the staff were rather rude and the service was poor and awkward. The food was a mixed bag, some dishes are tasty and some are mediocre. Also FYI they offer free beer for a 5 star review..

Wouldn’t call it ‘tasty’ as the name misleadingly suggests. I recently visited Spicy and Tasty, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The food was overwhelmingly spicy, lacking any balance or depth of flavor. The crab dish was the biggest letdown. It was not properly dismembered, making it nearly impossible to eat. To make matters worse, there were more broken shell fragments than actual meat, which turned the dish into an aggravating and unpleasant ordeal. The dried octopus dish wasn’t any better. It was essentially a bowl of dried peppers and cashews

Good price for the amount of food, free beer included with good review too.

The food was served quickly and the grilled fish was delicious. I don’t know if it’s authentic or not (I’m not from Sichuan), but it tastes really good. The side dishes are plentiful and the portions are generous. Neither of the two quite capable eaters finished the meal. The service is also very good! This is the only Chinese restaurant I go to in Manchester.

The food was expensive, and not that good. It said on the menu that they had a 10% student discount. But it was only if you paid in cash?? The boiled rice was expensive and not cooked enough…

The hot pot is so unpalatable. The dipping sauces actually cost extra. Garlic costs two pounds a portion, and oyster sauce costs two pounds a portion. The spicy hot pot is neither numb nor spicy. The mushroom soup looks like it’s made from powder.

It definitely lives up to its name...wow The soup was flavourful, and spring rolls were hot and crispy. We got the sizzling chicken and beef, which was succulent and tasty with lots of flavour. Min, the server was attentive, helpful, and friendly. I will tell my friends and certainly come again... They deserve all the stars I can give. It's definitely a hidden gem

The beef dish was pretty good, although a bit overpriced. The fried rice however was the worst fried rice I ever had, and the price only makes it worse. Whatever you do, never order the fried rice.

There is a 10% service charge for a meal, 2.5 for a bowl of (stale) rice...

The starters were very salty, which spoiled the experience. Otherwise, the service was fast and polite.

Food is fine, not terrible, but not delicious either. Very overpriced. 15 ish pounds for the main and they don’t even bother including rice or noodles to it

We were given a limited set menu on groupon deal. We also ordered of the main menu. The food we got was awful, and low quality. Although looking round the Asian customers food looked far better. I said I hadn't enjoyed the food but was ignored.

Why do white British get a different menu to everyone else? Hmmm Why did you charge us £75 for a “Luxury@ set menu for two, when in reality all it was, was two bowls of fatty, oily soup, generics Cantonese style sweet n sour chicken, prawns with cashew, combination starter and a fried rice with spam in it with three drinks … The food was mediocre at best Rob Dogs! I have never had such a bad experience with Chinese food. I've also never seen anyone ruin a simple dish like this. Essentially, they just threw a bunch of ingredients into plain water and called it a stew. It was absolutely flavorless, and the more I ate, the more frustrated I became. To top it off, the meal was incredibly overpriced—I spent £50 and left hungry, but full of disappointment. Save your money and avoid this place. It's a complete waste of time and money. I have never had such terrible Chinese food. I have never seen anyone doing this. To put it bluntly, it's just some ingredients stewed in plain water. It tastes like chewing gum, and the more you eat it, the angrier it becomes. The price is still expensive. After spending 50 pounds, I didn’t feel full. Instead, I felt angry. Hurry up and shut down your dick, stop lying to people, you piece of rubbish.

It’s so delicious. I’ll come back to eat it.

I would not recommend this restaurant due to the following I experienced: - Ordered food and it came within 5mins of ordering, so it is a bit suspicious in how it is done so fast. - Ate for 10mins and was asked to pack and leave because they are closing, though they did not tell us that they are closing in like 20 mins when we asked for a table. - Charged a mandatory service fee even though the waitress/waiter only spoke to us three times “are you ready to order”, “are you ready to order” and “you need to leave because we are closing” My experience at this restaurant was really a disappointment, really ruined our mood for the day.

I stumbled across this restaurant with my family and decided to give it a try, it is lovely food and the staff are so welcoming. I will definitely be back for the Szechuan chicken rice 💚🙏🏻

The food is excellent, cooked fresh and served with a smile. Portions are acceptable ,Service overall very good and atmosphere nice and quiet. Pleasant surroundings and toilets were very clean.

It was under my expectation. I could not feel same taste which I enjoyed other chinese restaurant. Seevice was nice and staff were friendly.

This is a relatively authentic Chinese Sichuan food in Manchester. At noon, you can also choose from beef brisket rice for 8.8💷, and the spicy version is unbeatable.

Sonny (I hope it's the right spelling) was so great and polite, you will find the best people serving you at this place. Great ambiance too!!

It's very cold in the store, the service is okay but the taste is very average. I've ordered pot-roasted pork for takeout and it's delicious, but this time I ordered a lot of fatty meat in the store, and the noodles were very thick, which was a bit of a surprise.

The best Chinese I’ve eaten. Wasn’t sure what to choose so the lovely waitress suggested the chicken grill. It came out and it was chicken, chips and veg in a spicy sauce…genuinely made my night. Lovely people, amazing food, definitely will be back!
