Excellent service, I've never been disappointed with foods & services from Spicey Cottage, I've had curries & curried spicy foods going back 35 years +. Dining in, take away or delivered, 1st class service as always.

Disappointed with quality & taste,

This it the best curry house in wibsey.

It was perfect . Didnt wair long at all . Love this restaurant have been visiting this restaurant for about 40 years lol xxx wouldnt go anywhere else in wibsey xx

Upon calling them after 1 hour of ordering, advised they only had 1 driver on delivering multiple drops. Explained they should not take orders if can’t fulfil customers within a timescale. I had only ordered 1 curry, poor delivery driver having to do all on his own.

Nice and tasty very polite and friendly

Not great. Oil had leaked all over chappatis and chips were cold and soggy

Everything was lovely apart from the chicken Tikka on bone was a bit dry

Had a take away tonight...food was lovely just lacking sauces and a little side salad...1 tub of yoghurt sauce doesn't go far especially when you've ordered starters...main and popadoms...and having no salad at all or a little lemon wedge to put over your chicken tikka..but we still enjoyed it

curry not up to expectations very sweet

I have had great food from here over the past couple of months, but tonight the mushroom pakora was inedible went in the bin, the shami kebab was too thick and under cooked went in the bin. The curry was poor quality. It's a real shame as normally the food is good. Alot of money spent for it to be of such quality.

Always amazing curries here, better than the bigger more expensive places.. I have be going here since they opened their doors back in the 80’s and can honestly say that they are consistently good

Never seen a chicken bhuna starters nice delivered late so wasn’t hot

Delivery took 2 hours from order confirmation. If delivery estimate had been honest I would have collected . Won’t be using again

I used to enjoy a curry here after a few in Wibsey. Not only is Wibsey now not the place it once was but so is this curry house. The food was like something straight out of a microwave, all stuck together. Was gutting really.

Went to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the restaurant lacked atmosphere and no alcohol was allowed on the premises. Great curry so may use for takeaways in future

We have never been let down in quality and taste after about 25 years of using The Spicy Cottage, as do our Daughters who have moved into their own places but still use them. We always recommend them to people in the area. Great service and product.

The two young lads waiting on are extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing seems too much bother for them.

All of sudden said they don't deliver in my area after ordering food for delivery for years.

2nd time here. 1st time explained to the boss that at 40% more expensive than everyone else he might have misjudged the local market. Then the food was just dull. Tonight as I passed I saw people inside for the first time so thinking they had improved decided to try again. It hasn't, Rogan Josh was just chicken in tomato puree, nothing else apart from a tiny amount of spice. I only hope I feel better tomorrow than I did last time! Also they are cash only so a stream of people heading for the local cashpoint, that charges nearly 2 quid!

Chicken was dry as my nans chuff , curry was blander than the Sahara desert , nann was a bit of bread , no cutlery given until asked , Napkins given at end of the meal , and No nice mint chocolate at the end , shocking

If you want dry, hard edges on microwaved warm ups here’s your place. £30 for literally old food or as said warmed up. The chicken in the pakoras were hard and stale. Samosa undercooked, shami kebabs soggy?? Just no in between at all shocking

Food went in the bin , far too much oil swimming in it, everywhere everything covered, Chicken Tikka masala far to salty really bad, onion Bhaji they wasn't, it was a spicy paste wrapped in greasy soggy batter just terrible mix kebab again greasy and bland, popodom was ok ,

Early is always better than been late so not complaining at all

loved the biryani, I was worried cuz of the bright read coloring that it was gonna be just food dye and not spicy enough but when I tried it I was warm and really spicy!! The chicken pakora was great! Me and my friends enjoyed it a lot

Shockingly small portion,takeaway container 5×4 inches. 2 currys /boiled rice /3 chapatti,small tub of yoghurt, tiny .No salad and cost £19.00 ,Talk about rip off .

Looked forward to revisiting the revamped restaurant, ordered takeaway the onion bhajis were stodgy not much onion, the man was cold and the tikka masala had too much tomato not much taste, safe to say for the cost was not impressed and will not be returning.

both meals delivered were not what we ordered. this is not the first time this has happened, but it will be the last.

Very poor. Looked and tasted like it had been sat all day. Barely any onions in the onion bhaji. Lamb and chicken very dry. Waste of money.

The restaurant part isn't open at the moment but it runs a takeaway service which is good, the food is awesome and always nice very much recommend this curry shop.

Haven't been for years but tried again collected my order my curry was nearly cold and tasteless it's like the curry's are same consistency and taste no matter what u order. Chicken Tikka pieces was very small n dry hardly got any chicken in it very disappointed gone down hill from years ago

Really decent place in Wibsey for a curry! Has an authentic curry taste and not bland. Went in and the guy working front of house was really polite and helpful with my order! Decent taste and would come back! Good food and great customer service.

Only ordered breads to go with a homemade curry…..but wow, the garlic naan was huge and the peshwari naan was beautiful, full of different nuts and sugar

The food came very late is was cold the portion size for £23.00 was not enough to feed 1 .I'm very disappointed with this takeaway as it used to be one of my favourites

Over cooked scampi chicken nuggets mushroom pakora too spicey awful

Food was late and cold when I got it. I asked for my curry to be made mild but it was very hot.

A side portion of rice was not brought in the delivery.

Food came. When plating it up, I smelt a really bad smell like rotten food. It was the rice. The rice smelt off. The chips & vegetable samosas looked barely cooked. Both were very pale in colour. Hence, the whole order went straight in the bin.

Food was stone cold, chapatis wrapped in one piece paper, not even tin foil, and were bright white, very undercooked. The curry was a soup with chicken pieces in, definitely not a masala. Very poor food

The food was amazing you can see they take the time to make traditional food. The service was also really good!

The food was over 60 mins late. The menu won’t let me choose that. Instead of offering us money back or a free starter we got a free drink. The food itself is good but with it being so late you expect it too be exceptional

Was a little disappointed tonight with the food I ordered I ordered mild biryani but it was more medium than mild. I have always been very happy with the quality of the food but sadly tonight it wasn't up to the usual tasty food I've always received. I hope this was just a one off and my next order will be up to the excellent standard.

The food was excellent and wow it came very quickly. By far the best local restaurant/takeaway around. Locally wouldn’t go anywhere else. Top notch food.

Food was cold. The chicken Tikka was that dry we had to throw it in the bin. No mint sauce was sent with the order.

Really disappointed in the portion sizes, the kids meal was a few chips and biryiani was like a kids portion. Spent over £30 and it barely fed 2 adults and a kid. Food quality was nice but not worth the price.

Opened my door to find food on the floor.. seemingly driver had knocked dropped and ran back to the car. Opened carrier bag to what looked like the driver had thrown the bag at my front door. Mint sauce pots x3 all over my food, curry lids broken in and curry seeping all over. £35 on a carrier bag of slop.

Pleasant and friendly food being absolutely perfect... the texture the fragrance just the perfect recipe for a night in. However the Restaurant is being refurbished and no doubt that will look beautiful. Let's see when it opens.

Absolutely banging curries. Turned up half an hour after ordering and expected it to be rushed and tasteless but it was one of the best curries I’ve had in a while.

The chicken tikka on the bone was amazing as usual! Will always keep getting this- best I’ve had!
