Shockingly small portion,takeaway container 5×4 inches. 2 currys /boiled rice /3 chapatti,small tub of yoghurt, tiny .No salad and cost £19.00 ,Talk about rip off .

Looked forward to revisiting the revamped restaurant, ordered takeaway the onion bhajis were stodgy not much onion, the man was cold and the tikka masala had too much tomato not much taste, safe to say for the cost was not impressed and will not be returning.

The restaurant part isn't open at the moment but it runs a takeaway service which is good, the food is awesome and always nice very much recommend this curry shop.

Proper old school curry by far the best in Yorkshire

Haven't been for years but tried again collected my order my curry was nearly cold and tasteless it's like the curry's are same consistency and taste no matter what u order. Chicken Tikka pieces was very small n dry hardly got any chicken in it very disappointed gone down hill from years ago

Really decent place in Wibsey for a curry! Has an authentic curry taste and not bland. Went in and the guy working front of house was really polite and helpful with my order! Decent taste and would come back! Good food and great customer service.

Pleasant and friendly food being absolutely perfect... the texture the fragrance just the perfect recipe for a night in. However the Restaurant is being refurbished and no doubt that will look beautiful. Let's see when it opens.

Got a takeaway tonight and the last one was about 2 week ago and I am sorry but thats it very very poor we both ordered keema no taste of curry no spice just mince cold onion baji very poor the whole meals was poor and the last ones we had sorry but thats it I will be going shazzans from now on

Order every month. Food is always lovely. Odd occasion has been luke warm when arrived, but when other deliveries to make cant be helped. Dont use any other takeaway for curries.

Worst curry I’ve ever had, got a vindaloo, didn’t even break a sweat. When I mentioned it, the staff just ignored me.

Take away for the last night shift on two occasions the food was spot on but the driver took a while but apart from that always been good with the curries plus other dishes a good local curry house

Usually great food and have been going for years but recently got a big meal which wasn't cheap and recieved mouldy Chappatis and it wasn't just one it was the whole lot they sent and when I rang to tell them I was practically called liar and he was very arrogant and rude and they refused to send any more, honestly won't go there ever again......Definitely seems to be going downhill

We order from Spicey Cottage every week. The food is always good, never had a bad meal. It’s comes hot & within an hour as promised. Last night it hadn’t arrive with an hour, it had been an hour & 45 minutes which is unusual. I rang up & the manager came on the phone, explained what had happened & couldn’t apologise enough. They cooked it all from fresh again & gave us some free starters. The manager delivered it himself. You can’t ask for more than that. Things happen but it’s how the situation is handled & they handled it perfectly. A bit of customer service goes a long way!

Great local takeaway always enjoy what I get. Tried a few different curries and never been disappointed

Had to send 1 order back as it was swamped in ghee and was stone cold plus had missing items. The fresh order that was sent was hot but was missing 2 items this time so had to wait even longer. Nearly 2 and a half hours for 3 curries, rice, 2 chicken pagodas and chapattis.However once we got our full order the meal was lovely. Very tasty and they were so full of apologies. I think we will trythem again just hope we don't have the same problem.

As normal the curry was gorgeous. However, there were a couple of issues 1. THE POPPODUMS WERE STALE AND SOGGY 2. WE ONLY RECEIVED 2 SAMOSAS NOT 3 AS PAID FOR

Food excellent, Special Mix Tandoori starter is a meal in itself! Undergoing a remodeling/refurbishment/redecoration at the moment hence the 3 ⭐ rating, I believe works will be completed mid November ish & I can't wait to be able to dine in again. As I said, food remains top class as expected & I highly recommend Spicy Cottage as a go to takeaway.

If you like your takeaway meals delivered late with things missing and dry and cold then Spicey Cottage won't let you down, possibly the worst Indian takeaway I've ever had and a disgrace to the good curry reputation of Bradford!

Best curry house always fresh and always warm when delivered. service is friendly and professional.

We bought 2 curries, chicken Rogan josh and a chicken tika masala, could not tell the difference other than one had more chicken than the other and one looked fresher than the other, not much taste either, felt like it was cooked by a younger generation who no nothing of using correct ingredients to make an authentic curry, or it could be cut backs. On a good note the chips were not warm ups.

Update: Been going here since i was a child. The servers polite and friendly worth the 13mile trip to eat there or take out. Food still hot when i get back. Quick speedy service. Shame due to covid they are not doing eat in. They should have 2 tables at the maximum at the top area for upto 4 people so 8 seated at a time 2 families. Best food going

Really really ignorant. Poor service walked out before food was served.

The food used to be excellent here but the meals that I have had in the last couple of months have been poor. Last visit soggy papadums and poor curry - just not up to the previous very good level. Cold plate, had to ask for water and a spoon and sadly won't be going again.

Curry really good had chicken madras with a portion of cababs chapatis really fresh can't fault it definitely go again staff very pleasant.

Poor service have to ask to be served. Once get served no apology. Ordered starter had to ask how long after 20 mins of waiting Ordered main same time as starter had to ask how long to be served the main. Swapped chapatti for naan had to remind them. Ordered chips had to remind them. Excuse was we are BUSY 4 people entered after us and left before us???? Shocking service and not even incredible food will NEVER visit again.

ordered a takeway told it would be half hour it was an hour received all cold food bhajis were burnt and greasy not edible awful i am on a limited budget and a takeway is a rare treat total waste of money really upset i didnt get a nice HOT meal and why does it take 3 people in the car to delivery it

Went for a curry with a few friends from work. It is a very relaxed atmosphere with great service and most importantly great food. We had a mixture of starters and again with the mains. Would definitely recommend and go again as I couldn’t fault anything. I highly recommend the chicken pakoras and Grand Slam.

I asked for a curry with spice and with gravel and sand on top, I only got a curry with spice. Unbelievable! 2 STARS

Well the service was a bit slow, but the prices were good and the food even better, so well worth the wait, i truly enjoyed the Baji starter, they were lovely and crunchy, followed by Keema Bhuna and chapattis, yummy.I asked the waiter and the restaurant, does not serve alcohol, but they do not object to customers bringing their own.So all in all a win win, truly a must visit for curry lovers.

So my brother says these guys are often a bit tardy. They were when we visited. But then they gave us the most amazing bhajis for waiting. Wow. Food was great. Chicken tikka v tasty. Loved it. Also watching chapatis being cooked on the open gas ring was fun !

Takeaway food tasted funny, very bland and unpleasant. I was very ill and violently sick 1 hour afterwards. I won’t be using the take away or restaurant again, Take my advice keep away other take aways deliver in wibsey that are of good quality.

Great place for eat in or take away

Got a takeaway Sunday night. Was late n they were getting ready to close. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Got grand slam, chicken Bhuna and meat biriani, all hot and very tasty. Could not fault any of it.

15mins early, Chicken tikka makhan was just normal chicken not tikka, ordered medium hot, wasn't the least bit of heat. Essentially sent me 3 kormas.... Cold chips, rice tasted warmed up. Had from S.C before and was brilliant, think this will be my last order though. Try elsewhere in future... Oh, the popadom was crispy, so there's that....

Absolute joke! Sent another just eat customer order, which contained other customer details on the receipt attached to the bag! Re-delivered and still had missing items.... has happened over and over AND OVER! I complained with the manager who promised my next order was free.... relied on this and called to order a week later and all knowledge was denied! Leaving me without when we had been promised. Shocking service and do nothing to cover their customers costs when they mess up! Do not order!

Missed popadoms off order and overall quality not great.

Meat kharai was just like stewed meat in gravy, no spice, and the keema curry was like a bolognese with no spice! I ordered it mild but still!! The naan bread was burnt on one side, BUT it did arrive on time!

Order was wrong, you sent 2 dopiaza's and 1 korma rather than 1 dopiaza and 2 korma's. I tried it but too spicy for me. Easy mistake I know.

Had a curry there on Sunday 14th May, ordered a makhani..never in my life have i seen a brown makhani...taste was bland and tasted like had been made with an oxo

I have had several take-a-ways and always been pleased. Tonight was a big disappointment, full meal including starters for 3 people - food was okay once reheated - NO YOGURT which made kebabs inedible. Feel like I will try a different restaurant next curry night.

Leaving this review to say thank you restoring our opinion of the restaurant. We had a problems the last couple of times we ordered and the manager has gone out of his way to resolve this for us. Mistakes can understandably happen, but it's how their fixed that matters! I will now consider ordering in the future as the food is great. Thanks 🙂

Food was over half an hour late and cold when arrived and curry was not upto expectation for what I ordered 2 of us had different currys and both tasted the same and too hot to eat one was a madras one normal and both too hot to eat. I always order from here but this time was a let down

Always order from spicey cottage, I love it, but tonight I ordered, chicken biryani it was horribly greasy my husband couldn't eat it, and keema bhuna, which had no taste whatsoever.... disappointed tonight!
