⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely loved this place! The food was hot, fresh, and came out super fast. The staff were friendly and made the whole experience even better. I had the Naga Wings with chips and it was perfectly seasoned and juicy. Great value for the price—definitely coming back!

Terrible Delivery Experience – Fake Tracking & 2-Hour Wait I’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant’s delivery service. Despite the food itself being decent, the delivery experience was a nightmare. First, the Uber Eats tracking was completely fake—it showed the driver was "nearby" for over an hour while my food was clearly not moving. When it finally arrived **two hours late**, the food was cold and poorly packaged. Worst of all, there was no communication or apology for the delay. If you’re ordering from here, be prepared for terrible delivery management and zero accountability. I won’t be ordering again.

We just ordered from here for the first time.. and wont be the last! Absolutely amazing delicious food! Kebab lamb chops, Smash burger all the food we got was unreal.. the service was the best wev had compare too other takeaways!

My husband got extremely food poisoned from here. It was the worst experience ever. He got extremely sick from their food. He got the burger and steak sandwich. Never again.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Spice Hut. First, they got our order wrong—we specifically asked for a certain burger, but they gave us the wrong one without any notice. On top of that, some of the chicken in another burger was raw, which is absolutely unacceptable. When my husband called to politely ask why they gave us the wrong burger and why they didn’t inform us that they no longer make the one we ordered, they were incredibly rude. Instead of apologising or trying to resolve the issue, they snapped at us and made it seem like it was our fault. All we wanted was a simple phone call so we could have adjusted our order, but their attitude and lack of care for their customers made an already disappointing experience even worse. We were excited for our meal but were left feeling let down and disrespected. After this experience, we won’t be returning and won’t recommend this place unless they address their customer service and food quality issues. 0/10

The staff are extremely rude that I had spoken too as we order food every week from this place and to my disappointment we got our food and did not receive the order we had ordered…. The kids meal was a disgrace with only a few fries and the tiniest of burgers honestly it was so tiny I won’t even feed it to a rat, so I rang them to explain and to be talked down too it was a very bad experience working in a customer service environment am disgusted and to be told off somebody we have too many customers we don’t care about you on the our call…well to say the least awful. Another thing putting uber eats down saying you get two kebabs be lucky it’s uber eats fault not ours to be told on the phone I shall leave at that you decide if you want to be served by takeaway like that thanks

Absolutely disgraceful. Ordered a delivery at 22:15 and waited over 2 hours, still not received. Contacted restaurant which was closed, so no way to get any updates or get through. If you can’t fulfill an order, don’t accept it. Horrible service. Waste of time and energy for no reason.

Order frequently from here and today ordered for the other half but received what we didn't want called up and the customer service was appalling attitude was stinking won't be going back anymore after today. Very disappointing

Nice peri peri wings… must have to try

First time I've ordered from here, absolutely delicious food. It's spicy and tasty, not bland and generic like some other places on the West Road. I love peri peri, I tried the medium spice on their double peri burger, it's just about right but next time I'll try the hot. Keep it up lads!

First time trying this place I went in and orderd a mixed wrap and wow it has some kick to it for being a medium heat good portion and price only thing I can fault it that it does not say what you get in the wrap or what source it is on looking at the menu other than that can't fault it I will be back

Food is always good from here. Tried out the new item on the menu the Philly rib eye cheese steak and OMG this was amazing! All the flavours hit the right places. The nacho cheese fries with it are amazing too. Absolutely mouthwatering. Can’t wait for next time. Good job guys and keep it up.

Went here for the first time after hearing tons of good stuff about this place, so I got the mixed grill platter and the house special box for me and my family and I have to say definitely the best food about in the north east hands down, the quality of food, the freshness and the quantity everything about this place is excellent, the lads in the shop are very friendly and helpful too, I was spoilt for choice looking at the menu so the waiter helped me choose which I am thankful for because it was a great recommendation, highly recommend this place ran by bunch of young talented lads 😊

If you like spicy food, i would recommend naga (chops, ribs, wings). Burgers ‘the BEST’.

Stole my money and didn't even give my food when i ordered it,no one called or tried to even get in contact, I only got a notification saying my order was cancelled for no reason and still got charged which makes no sense at all because why am I getting charged for not getting my food and no one trying to contact me as well.

Great food, great staff every time!

Absolutely nothing wrong with the food, just the portion sizes. We’ve been ordering from here for about 2 years at least and have noticed a massive decrease in the portion sizes in that time and a rise in cost. We have spent £80 here this week alone and its no where near worth that price for the portions you get. Also ordered creamy naga, which apparently you now have to pay extra for, got home and no creamy naga, shock! Tasty food but definitely need to put it on the back burner because of the cost unfortunately.

They have gone from 3* hygiene to 2*. Just so disappointing as I went to Sunderland previously and it was so good. Here the food doesn't compare. And after seeing the hygiene report... I don't understand how they haven't sorted this out. 3 star for everything except food as I can't comment much on those.

Guys, spend your hard earned money wisely! Ordered a mixed grill and a smash burger for £20! Said it will take 20 minutes but food got ready for almost after 45 minutes!! It was the smallest ever portion of mixed grill, most of it was burned and burger wasn't any special. Huge disappointment 😞! Will never recommend it... 👎

Took 1hr40mins for a delivery 0.9 miles away, shocking! On a Tuesday as well, called up the shop after waiting well over hour, their excuse was traffic on west road…fair enough. Was assured food wouldn’t be affected by the long wait, it was. The chips were cold & rock hard, smash burger tasted like it was cooked in a rush. If you’re going to take that long to deliver someone’s food at least make sure the quality is there, management need to do better. Should pay more attention to keeping your local customers happy, just common sense

Service quick, owner pleasant, no music when we were there which created a nice halal environment. Would recommend buttermilk chicken burger. Was tasty!

Managed to get here after seeing this on food review club, i got the mixed box, a proper banging smashed patty, paid extra for the lamb chops which were amazing, the guy on the counter asked how spicy for the kebab meat I let him choose and it was amazing !!! Add in some wings and nacho fries what’s not to like !! The service was great , I was asked if I had ordered which I hadn’t and realised is 100 percent the way to go, 20 min wait on the food because of that but that was fine as it was cooked fresh hot and so tasty ! Top job !!

Very very tasty food Customer service is exceptional and they are always willing to make sure they do whatever you can to make you satisfied. I would definitely recommend their spicy buttermilk burger and lamb doner wrap.

Ordered food for collection at 7:30pm for iftaar during Ramadan and I didn’t leave the shop till after 8:45 more than an hour after I had placed the order to be collected, bearing in mind iftaar was at 8:07, I am very disappointed with the service I have received today

Came here on Saturday night 25/2/23 Really lovely staff/manager. Ordered two box meals to take out, I got extra mild haha and my partner got medium spiced. I must say the food was absolutely beautiful!! Lamb ribs, a burger, chicken wings, nacho fries, mixed kebab meat. All freshly cooked to order, absolutely beautiful food. Will definitely be returning.
